Otometober Day 5 Rewrite The Best Part

Includes Spoilers For Kamigami No Asobi

I know this isn't new but one of my favorite couples is Loki & Yui in Kamigamin No Asobi however I feel like the happy ending still was just not good enough to me so been working on the fan fic of how it should have ended instead. That being said before this challenge I had already done the first 2 chapters but this rewrite made me want to go back and finish it off with the 3rd chapter and ending that should have been. I will link all 3 chapters below you get the time go check it out.

Synopsis for anyone who has not played the game. Yui gets taken to a world of gods including Zues, Hades, Apollon, Loki, Baldr, Thoth, Anubis, Thor, Tsukito, Takeru Totsuka, & Dionysus. Zues wants to teach the gods how to be more human so he brings Yui there to do just that. He locks their powers down until they learn what its like to be human. That being said there are some gods harder to work with than others and Loki is one of them he hates humans. Its cute though because Yui takes a liking to caring for Baldr who comes off sick which since Baldr means everything to Loki it lets his walls down to her. Without ruining too much of the journey they go through lets just say he doesn't realize she is a human and spends alot of time letting her into how he feels and how he is scared to lose Baldr. He falls in love with her and when its time for them to go back not soon before that he finds out she is human and loses his shit. Anyways he chooses to give up being a god to be with her and go back to the human world with her even though in the one good ending that does this he forgets everything even her. To me it was sweet because he knew just as well as she did that they were connected upon anything else. That did sit right with me so my fan fic picks up from there hope you enjoy.

there’s so many words on the tip of your tongue, but suddenly you can find not a one and will it into existence. you nod in shameful defeat, your legs aching when he finally lets them slide on to the mattress. you can still feel him, throbbing and nestled deep inside you.

he smiles, cumdrunk and pleased with your answer, and shifts to pull you closer, collapsing on the bed beside you and dragging you back to meet his chest. “Mm, good.”

chapter notes:

while this fic will explore shinazugawa sanemi's story and the lives he has touched over the course of his life, at the end of the day, this is a sanemi x oc story, so please keep that in mind. there will also be chapters in the future that do not feature sanemi, as i make an effort to explore as many POVs as i can, but the central plot will always return to him and my oc.

this chapter is labelled "part one" because it was initially written alongside the next chapter and was intended to be posted together. the final word count, however, comes to 17,000+, so i decided to split them. because each chapter title importantly conveys the themes i wanted to introduce for each POV and scene, i've labelled them in "parts" instead of naming them different.

as the story progresses, there may be other instances where i decide to split chapters, and they will be labelled in parts. they will always be considered and referred to as one chapter though.

there are also some Japanese words that I specifically chose not to translate as I felt they did not fit the tone of the story when translated to English.

translations:

jinbei - traditional attire consisting of a kimono-like top and a pair of trousers engawa - a wooden/bamboo edge strip that runs around a room or building, almost like a veranda kamigami - japanese pantheon of deities tsuka - the hilt of a katana seiza - specific way of sitting in which one kneels, which is considered very polite and formal agura - sitting crossed legged, which is considered casual and (sometimes) rude zabuton - a thin, flat cushion shishi-odoshi - this thing uguisu - japanese bush warbler, also called a "nightingale" kikkou - a common japanese hexagonal pattern that resembles a tortoise's shell the OCs in this story, for the most part, are introduced to flesh out the world of demon slayer and explore the struggles and hardships of the corps and its several-hundred-year journey. there are a handful of OCs who are an exception to this though and play a major role in the story.

this story is not canon-compliant as the fate of several characters differs from that of the manga (in addition to the introduction of certain important OCs). for the most part, though, this will follow the overall story that was presented in the manga, so please be aware of spoilers for un-animated episodes of the anime.

most of the story will run concurrently to the main story portrayed in the manga, exploring different POVs and the happenings of the corps around such events.

i deeply enjoyed writing this story and i'm excited to see it through to the end. the thirty-six chapters listed on the ao3 page are subject to change, especially if i have to split more future chapters, but for the most part the entire story's outline is completed, so i have charted a course for this turbulent ship!

Nonsense. Knowing all this about you brought a small abundance of ideas. Narrowing them down was a bit of a challenge. I feel a smidge awkward because the ship I’ve chosen is the second one in a row with a blonde character but I just can’t imagine a better match. I hope you’ll appreciate the type of characteristics he can bring out in you.

The cool shade of your favorite tree in the park is just right for this late Spring day. Songbirds are creating a melody while a calm breeze drifts through the branches above you.

A voice akin to sunshine itself calls to you “Hey, Sunshine!” followed by short, happy laughter.

The positivity radiating from only his greeting means you can’t help but smile a little. Apollon, the boy jogging over to you, is an infectious type of happy. He may call you Sunshine but you feel it’s honestly more a suitable title for himself. Perhaps that’s a bit obvious though, given that he’s the actual Greek god of the sun.

Naturally there’s more to him than that. It’s how you two became close. It was only a few weeks ago that you found him here on one of your regular walks. You two began to share your interests and it turns out he does a lot more than embody the sun. He’s a patron for music and poetry as well. On rainy days you two have stayed indoors together sharing stories and poems. He was quick to become cuddly and the gentle warmth of his arms around you is an intimacy that no one could ever out match.

“Are you ready to go on a walk together?” he smiles down at you, offering his hand to help you up from your lovely spot under the tree. Your fingers touch and you can feel a glow of warmth from his skin. When your eyes meet his grassy gaze it’s like nothing else in the world exists. His attention is only comparable to the sun’s ability to rise and warm the dew off the world each morning.

You remain arm and arm at a steady pace for a few minutes before he quickly gets excited about some buttercups growing at the side of the foot path.

“Look at these!” he titters before plucking one. He tenderly twirls it in his fingers. “These remind me of you, Sunshine. Their color is so pleasing. They make me smile almost as much as you do.” He reaches the flower under your chin. The soft center tickles your skin. He begins to chuckle and you seem to catch his infectious attitude again.

“They glow next to you, Sunshine. They must like you!” he laughs again and spots an even larger patch ahead, beyond a small stretch of bushes. “Look, there’s more over there!” he exclaims. Unfortunately his excitement seems to have caused him to charge on ahead. Your attempts to close the distance cause your phone to slide from your pocket.

You watch your phone slide underneath the brush. You sigh. It isn’t easy to wiggle into small spaces sometimes but you’re not too poor off. You roll back your mid-length sleeves and lower yourself to the ground. Wriggling yourself under the bush takes a few moments but you manage to slide under. Scanning the ground you manage to spot your phone. You have to stretch your arm a bit but your fingers brush the screen. You carefully scoot it back to yourself before you’re able to properly get a hold of it.

“Sunshine? Sunshine?!” Apollon calls. “Sunshine, where are you?!” he continues, getting slightly farther away.

You manage to wrench yourself back out only to see Apollon has started to head in the other direction. He’s looking back and forth and he seems stiff. His keeps calling for you in a higher pitch. You whistle and wave to get his attention. He looks back to you, eyes wide, and dashes to you before you can properly say anything.

His semi-muscular arms wrap tightly around you, bringing you into his chest. He keeps you close like this for a few minutes. His heart beat is audible and fast but slows down eventually. “I… I thought you had disappeared.” His voice trembles a bit. “I’m sorry…”

You embrace him back and do your best to soothe him. You may be his girlfriend but you don’t hold back when he needs you to care for him more like a mother. You manage to calm him and offer to go back to your place together. You can cook him that pasta recipe you were talking about but you might need to stop by the market on your way back. This time, you promise, you’ll hold hands the whole way so you won’t be separated.

I write dark content mostly, and the biggest part of my fics is about any sorts of violence of a certain character over reader (it may be hidden or depicted graphically).

I like: drama (between character and reader or reader and society, etc.), mysticism (including all the forms of paranormal activities and devilry), dark, horror, body horror, ABO system, physical and psychological violence, sexual violence, surrealism, mental disorders, status difference, age difference (only with younger reader/older character), patriarchal and heteronormative relationships dynamic, misogyny, femdom, mommy kink.

I don't like it, but I can write it (no guarantees that the result will be good): fluff, healthy relationships (of any kind), rivals to lovers, enthusiastic consent, service top/power bottom, enemy mine, soulmates, domestic fics.
