One thing Inukags like to always claim in their favor is that “Kagome loved and accepted Inuyasha for who he is and didn’t want him to change unlike Kikyo,” when actually this is false on two accounts and Imma tell up why!

1. If Kagome truly does love and accept Inuyasha as a hanyou then why does she treat him like a literal dog instead of just another person like Kikyo did? This proves that she actually does have racial bias against his demon side and doesn’t wholeheartedly accept him as her racial equal the way InuKaggers always try to claim. She literally treats him as if he’s nothing but a low-IQ animal that’s her pet, forgive me for saying this but isn’t this literally racist? If hanyous are an allegory for mixed race people in the real world then Kagome is no different than racist White Saviors who treat the racial minority half of a mixed person as “inherently animalistic,” at least Kikyo never let Inuyasha’s demon side prevent her from treating him as an equal and with the respect a person deserves, he was just another person to her unlike Kagome who racially stereotypes Inuyasha and thinks him being half-dog gives her the right to treat him as one.

2. It’s wrong to say Kagome completely loved and accepted Inuyasha for who he is and didn’t want him to change because what do you call her wanting him to completely forget and throw away his feelings for Kikyo then? Does that not count as “wanting him to change?” His feelings and love for Kikyo are a part of him too and she obviously can’t accept that and constantly tries to change him on that account, meanwhile Kikyo had always accepted that he had “moved on” with Kagome and never tried to guilt-trip him regarding his feelings for Kagome except very early on in the series whereas Kagome was constantly doing the opposite - Kikyo had the grace and was selfless enough to accept Inuyasha’s newfound love for Kagome and never tried to change or sway his feelings, whereas Kagome couldn’t offer him the same courtesy for his feelings for Kikyo.

So all in all it’s incorrect when InuKags say that Kagome loving and accepting Inuyasha for who he is is the one thing she has over Kikyo, in actuality if you really analyze the text it looks more like Kikyo was the one who loved and accepted Inuyasha wholeheartedly from the start unlike Kagome. They always like to bring up Kikyo “asking Inuyasha to wish to become full human” in bad faith, when they know it was merely a suggestion on her part that she thought would make both of their lives easier - not that she wouldn’t still love him if he remained a hanyou. Meanwhile they conveniently ignore any evidence that portrays Kagome not being so wholly accepting of Inuyasha for who he is as they so claim…

Actions speak louder than words, InuKags can say Kagome accepts Inuyasha more for who he is than Kikyo does but the way both girls treat him suggests another story.

what are your top 5 kagehina moments?

1. Gotta be the second 3rd tempo set in the match against Nekoma. Mostly because I just wrote like a mini essay on it in my last ask.

2. The anime version of when they block the twins minus quick and the camera lingers on their hands. Tell me you ship it without telling me you ship it. I lost my mind when I first realized that scene wasn't in the manga

3. This is cheating but every instance of "I'm here". From the first one where it's a plea to which "as long as I'm here, you're invincible" is almost a response along with a promise to the beginning of the jackadlers match to the end of the jackadlers match when Kageyama says "you're here" first. It's such a loaded phrase for them.

4. "Gimme it here" "Fine" during the Kamomedai match. I've said it before and I'll say it again, I'm a sucker for when Hinata leads Kageyama along during a match. This one just so happens to be most prominent in my head atm. If you caught me a month earlier, it would've been that one time Kageyama muses in his head about how he almost gave Hinata the ball without even thinking about it and how Hinata's such a dangerous decoy.

5. This one's hard but imma go with when Hinata falls during the Kamomedai match and Kageyama says "I'm going on ahead". It's his way of saying "you've gotta take take of yourself if you want to catch up" and "don't fall behind" and his face when he says it looks almost heartbroken

2. Favorite canon thing about this character?

okay i already answer one favourite canon thing but another thing i love about kageyama i think is just how much he loves volleyball and how much he just doesnt care about anything else. its cute to me just seeing how passionate he is and then when he has to study for school he's just like "but why must i do this." its so cute! he gets to just be a silly kid who does poorly at school and like i love that about him :) i like how you expect him to be smart but he really isn't and he's just as silly as some of the more obviously silly guys like tanaka or noya

13. What's an emoji, an emoticon and/or any symbol that reminds you of this character or you think the character would use a lot?

well if i said a crow that would be so obvious because of the crow symbolism of karasuno. and same with like the crown emoji. but BOTH do remind me of him. like he's so tied with that king symbolism and trying to move past it and he does move past it that it's just so hard to not assiocate that type of symboling with him

18. How about a relationship they have in canon with another character that you admire?

aaa this is so hard because i love ALL his relationships. obviously him and hinata are everything to me and i have talked a lot about them but i think the one i specifically admire might just be his dynamic with suga. i love him and hinata but the admire gotta go with them. suga who despite being odler then him knows kageyama is better skill wise. but he teaches kageyama a lot about being a teammate, about trusting the team. and kageyama is jelaous about that but they both form such a sweet friendship where suga helps kageyama become someone better and kageyama is grateful for it.

like this from chapter ten, suga sees so much in how kageyama has grown and kageyama isn't sure what to feel there because he's not used to it but suga is just proud of him even when he could so easily be jelaous because he's only a first year setter and better.

during the match against blue castle when kageyama is benched, suga tells him kageyama keeps him balanced and reminds him he has a whole team with him and that he doesn't need to do it alone and it truly gets through to kageyama! later when he rejects the lonely king title, the tyrant title, it's because of what suga said, knowing he has a team of great players there for him and its so sweet <3

2. Favorite canon thing about this character?

loyality !! he's a mad dog sure but he's also a loyal dog. he gave up so much of his life waiting for saejima to return, he spent 25 years carving a place for him unsure of how his sworn brother would react to him when he comes back. he always is there to help the tojo clan and the kiryu. he sticks by daigo's side when he needs someone to help him with the tojo (an action that even does get him jailed in four but he never gives up on daigo, still supporting him in the next game and forward) his loyality is the core of who he is and i love it about him

6. What's something you have in common with this character?

ohh thats hard because majima is so different then me in many ways but i suppose one thing is i like to think im loyal? i like to think i'll always try and be there for friends and people i care abt. now i dont think it would ever be to being able to endure torture but thats an extreme that'll never happen to me but just the base concept of loyality is something i like to think i share :)

17. What's a ship for this character you don't hate but it's not your favorite that you're fine with?

honestlyyy nihsitani. i get it because of everything going on 0 but it's a ship i see content with for and i just, idk, i don't really ship it? i get it though but to me he's always just going to be the guy who inspired such change and freedom in majima rather then an actual ship for myself.

could you talk about kik and her desires? ( ie: does she WANT to be dead? does she want to live the life that was stolen from her?)

oh this is SUCH a good question, thank u from the bottom of my heart for asking bc this should be quite an interesting lil thought experiment ... let us dive in :3

first and foremost, to understand kikyo and the general concept of desires (or, more base-level, just "wanting" as a whole), it's helpful to look at her childhood and the way she brought herself up. her parents died shortly after kaede's birth, and so she was alone at the age of eight. it's not said exactly when but it wouldn't have been very long after that, taking on the role of kaede's mother, essentially, that she would have started training as a priestess. from the jump she was adept at keeping her own childish emotions at bay out of necessity, as she was responsible for her younger sister, as well as the duties requires by a priestess. the pair, probably around the time kikyo was 15 or so, and so kaede was around 7, traveled and slayed demons whilst training. everything about their existence was survival-based, and in the direct service of others.

when kikyo is given responsibility of the jewel, she is even further obligated to set aside any rambunctious emotions, wants, desires, fears, etc. that might make her come across vulnerable to yokai and evil men seeking the jewel. she had to turn herself to stone, and shed the happiness, joys, silliness and breakdowns that humans all faced – she was not able to want, because wanting would prove to be her downfall.

there's also a sidenote on this, something i haven't gotten into much at all but it is actually a major aspect of kikyo's character, that she was cursed by tsubaki (a fellow, rival priestess who was jealous that kikyo was given the jewel to protect), to die a violent death should she ever fall in love. kikyo wasn't worried about that, generally, because she didn't consider that she would ever fall in love. of course, it happens, the curse plays itself out, etc. etc. but all to say even if she didn't actively fear this curse, it still existed and she was aware of it, and it barred her from the part of herself that might one day have those desires.

onto the more specific part of this question re: does she want to be dead? the short answer would be no; but like all things it is of course a little more complicated than that. she would rather be alive, all told, but in death she found a sort of freedom she lacked in life. in fact, on this very subject, in a strange and unexpected way, she is able to want and desire and show that vulnerability more freely and completely than ever before. due to the soul she possesses being darkened by wrath, it is typically a desire that has to do with anger and hatred, but even then, this is a freedom all the same. and one she never had experienced beforehand.

the second question, does she want to live the life that was stolen from her – god, yes. and i think this is largely why she loathes inu so much, and why she is so cruel towards kagome. it is hurt, anger, resentment – she wants so badly to be able to live that life; firstly on the level that, in a literal sense, she was killed at so young an age and in her resurrection she knows that her time is limited and fleeting. secondly, because she never even had a chance to begin with – with her life as it was, she was always doomed to unhappiness, loneliness. she nearly had an out to that, with inu and the jewel, and that was taken from her – she sees inu alive, and she is jealous of that chance. she sees kagome being loved, not just by inu but by so many, and she sees this girl's happiness, kindness, and joy – things which she never had, and could never really express (save for kindness, which i would argue was always something she held onto as well in her lifetime, and she has a similar capacity for it as kag but most assuredly doesn't act on it often, especially now, and when she does it manifests differently).

kikyo had to hold back from wanting, from longing, from desire in its entirety. she is given that freedom, finally, in death, but this comes at a cost – that it is finite, and she does not have her entire life ahead of her. no matter her course, her path; she is fated to tragedy.

Daffodil: Has your character ever had unrequited love for someone? Have they ever loved someone but held it in for any reason?

While Kagota would say no, there's been one - the old 'friend' who tried to end her life towards the end of her year of training. She saw him as family, loved him like a brother as well as a friend, and it's perhaps part of the reason why she ignored incredibly obvious signs that he didn't see her the same, resulting in his attack on her at the end of the mission. While it wasn't romantic, the love she held for him still haunts her as much as what she can remember of the fight and night in general, and it's not something she likes to own up to - Even to her own husband, who she's sure isn't aware of everything that went down that night.

She's been incredibly careful with the topic of 'love' since, and will only ever admit to loving her family and husband.

Quince: One temptation your character has had.

Childe- XD All jokes aside, a lot of Kagota's temptations come from her desire to change the world into the one she's working towards and effectively install herself and Childe as queen and king. You put her in a room with any harbinger not under the title of Tartaglia, and she immediately has the temptation to punch them all in the face-

Perhaps a less violent one is the often felt temptation to just... Quit. Leave the Fatui, take her husband and their families and go traveling, become an adventurer, work for herself... It's a nice thought, but it's one she can't have, and she knows it. There's too much battlelust in her, too much trauma, too much of a leash keeping her bound to the Fatui that she'll never be able to just... Up and go, especially not if she seeks to have her head remaining firmly attached to her neck. It'd be easier on her to leave and maybe she'd b able to calm down someday if she did, but so long as the Fatui and Snezhnaya itself exists? No can do.

Now as for punching the other harbingers in their faces... Just let her off her leash it'll only take a second-

Xanthoriza: What’s something your character has run away from?

Her family. Maybe not in the technical aspect - she didn't 'run away' to join the Fatui, she left home after a discussion with her parents about it - but she feels completely she ran away from things in Morepesok. Her mother had wanted her to be a housewife and stay in the village with her. Her father wanted her to work with him as a merchant and stay close to them, like she had as a child when she'd given them a hand in everything she could and even traveled with her dad on some of his business trips.

Kagota hadn't wanted any of that, and took joining the Fatui as an escape.

To her, leaving was 'running away'. What her parents wanted for her had felt overwhelming, like she had no control over her own fate, and she'd thought joining the Fatui would help her with reclaiming that - It hasn't, but it was still a means of running off from a fate chosen for her, and she's been left to wonder... If she hadn't, would she still have met back up with Childe? Would they be married now, or would she have met someone else in the village? Would she be happy?

She's... Good not knowing.

hinata and kageyama were cheating off of each other on their psych test but hinata ended up going back and changing some of his answers

kags fell asleep during the test and didn't have time to change any of his answers and ended up getting a better score than hinata (by like 3 points lmao)

yn did not graduate from kindergarten but her parents refused to let her be held back so she just kept going (and she turned out just fine didn't she??)

tsukki was not having it today

he's still a little mad about being ditched in a&p and also apparently i just channeled all of my inner rage and sass into his character today

yn was so distraught when she walked into class and there was an orange haired boy and the king of resting bitch faces sitting at her table

bc ofc kags has continued his ritual of making sure he gets to class before yn and hinata's joined him

she just sat down and immediately started pretending to be texting someone because she didn't know what else to do

at work yn knocked over the cup of coffee beans while keiji was in the back. he heard it and went "that's normal" but then his phone buzzed about twitter and when he saw it was from yn, he walked out and they both burst out laughing and yn literally fell to the floor (hence, 'we should not be allowed to work together')

bokuto did come to visit them and spent the rest of the night with them <3 gossiping about the latest news on kags and more

yachi couldn't join bc her teacher did not accept her dog excuse and she needed to get a project done </3

It was a prank. Tsukishima would have noticed straight away that there was lipstick if it wasn't. You were quite excited that this prank might just work.

Right before he went to practice, you kiss him on his cheek with a grin on your face. He asks you why you were smiling, but you shrug it off. Unlike any other day, he doesn't really take it into mind and goes to practice.

Literally the second he enters the gymnasium, Kyotani looks him up and down and say "had fun?"

Kei is confused. He honestly doesn't understand why Kyotani asked him that. He raised an eyebrow and answered his question with another question, "what do you mean?"

Kogane, who was listening to the whole conversation, bursts out laughing.

"Didn't you look in the mirror?" He can hardly get the words out, too busy laughing to see that his usual unaffectionate teammate doesn't notice that he has red lipstick on his cheek.

When he pulls out his phone from his pocket and looks at himself in the camera, the man is beyond annoyed AND embarrassed. Two emotions that Tsukishima didn't want to feel right now. He's gonna have a talk with you after practice.

In his case, neither Tobio or you noticed. It was really just an accidental thing. He was already in a rush, so he didn't care to look at himself once.

When he goes to practice, most of his teammates kinda just stare at him for a few seconds until all of them make a plan to not question Kags on why his neck is pinkish and just see how long it will be until he realizes.

Ushijima really wasn't up for it, but the others convinced him (random, but he's ushi so why not)

It wasn't that long until Tobio started to feel eyes on him, though. Whenever he felt someone staring, he'd mouth the word 'what?' But his teammates always shook their head to show that it was nothing big.

At last, he came up to Hoshiumi and sternly asked him, "What's wrong? Is there anything on my face?"

Hoshiumi looked around the gym a bit and then finally let out a chuckle. "Go look at yourself, dude."

Kags made a weird face a him as if he were trying to say 'why tf would i do that' but, when he actually goes to the bathroom and looks into the mirror, he finally gets it. There's pinkish-red stuff all over his neck.

Lucky you, he sent you a pic before wiping it all off <3

Shoyo's mum was already smiling when she welcomed you two in, but her smile grew when she saw Shoyo's cherry lips. She was hoping to see how long it would go until her son notices, but her daughter ruined it all.

Natsu ran up to her brother and hugged him tightly after months of not seeing him, but when she looked up, she started giggling. She didn't even ask him what it was. "Ewwww nii-chan, you were kissing (y/n) ?"

He was kinda put on the spot with that because didn't realize that he kissed you while you had lipstick on. So, he didn't really know what to do except turn his head to you and depend on you to answer.

Ok now, hear me out 👀 what if our precious manager YN just so happened to live in the dorms with Team Japan…

Picture it 🙌🏻 originally, you decided to move into the doors for convenience purposes. The dorms are right next to the gym, so you can literally roll out of bed and get to practice.

The food is made by professional chefs so not only is it healthy, but it’s amazing.

You have your own room with en suite bathroom 😱 and probably the best, it’s rent free!! And trust me, in this economy 👀🤚🏻 please we need all the help we can get!

It actually sounds like a pretty solid deal right?

Well you know what they say, there’s always a catch. And your “catch” comes in the form of several very annoying adult men : D

No matter how much the coaches and Iwaizumi threatened these guys, they will never leave you alone. Seriously like a bunch of toddlers 🙄

Literally everyone had a meeting about this specifically!

“And remember, when you get back to the dorms, YN is off duty. And that means what?” Iwaizumi probes the group

“That means YN’s not working?” Bokuto answers

Audible groans and protest can be heard around the world.

“But why? YN’s right there. What if I need more athletic tape?” Gao groans

“That seems like something that can wait until the next practice day don’t ya think?” You respond as the interruptions continue.

“What if I need a drink?” Kageyama asks, prompting yet another round of thought provoking questions.

Iwaizumi is trying his best not to lash out but it’s only been 2 minutes and he’s at his limits.

“Kageyama, I don’t get your drinks after practice. I have literally never done that!” You retort

“Yeah but what if I really need one made specifically by you?” He questions

“And what after practice scenario would you need that specific request Kags?” You respond

“Ohhh I can think of a few!” Atsumu shouts

At this point, Iwaizumi’s zen has left the building

“ABSOLUTELY NO BOTHERING YN!” He screams

Yaku, being the cheeky man he is, raises his hand, asking, “what about a fire? Should we just let YN burn because we can’t bother them?”

The boys all begin shouting various unreasonable scenarios as you and Iwaizumi just stare in disbelief 😐
