TWC BOOK 3 SPOILERS - semi-coherent thoughts and vibes

i have had some thoughts about the identity of the leader of the Rogues and the "they" at the end and it has taken me so much to weave them to coherence, but here goes:

perhaps, the leader of the Rogues is a separate entity from the "they" at the end.

going by this, the leader of the Rogues:

solely on the basis of the eye colour - definitely sounds like she has a connection to Rook (maybe she is the sister who is thought to be dead - as is the popular theory).

OR.

this is a sister of Rook who is of supernatural origin but was unheard of. given that Rook himself was brought up under foster care we literally have no idea about Rook's family of origin, so... 👁️👁️

now, the 'they':

something tells me that maybe the detective's redbull blood is a characteristic they inherited (which was somehow undetected until before the incident that caused his death - maybe the incident itself was a trap that Rook got caught in???). maybe this is part of the info that the agency is hiding from Rebecca.

maybe there's some parallel world thing happening??? - vibe-wise, i cannot really explain.

OR

now coming back to "they":

then "they", here, could just be someone who was also after Rook but just couldn't get their hands on him??? idk. and then, "the Rook [they were] always meant to have".

then Rook having some supernatural connection makes sense. and thus tie in with my theory that the "she" is a sister of Rook's that we never came to know of.

No but you gotta understand i do not hate on people who interpert characters differently than me..

my post about gale haters was not about the different interpretations of gale but it was about people completely dismissing

1) his actual story inside the game not talking to him at all then judging him

2) the literal lore that this game was built on that tells you so much about his character and explains why he is the way he is rn

So it irks me that people just go "hes a fucking narc mansplainer that abused mystra" without knowing anything.

On the same note

I never hate on mystra (or anyone els) beyond the playful "all my homies hate mystra" because again there is mounds of story and lore thats not present in bg3 but is still relevant to who she is and why she does things

Does it justify it no but it shows you that she and all of the bg3 pantheon and other similar characters are way more than you see in the game

and while you are allowed to hate them and call them out you have to admit its not bad character writing wise mystra alone is a very complex and interesting and well written character and yes "evil" characters can be extremely well written amazingly structured characters and no they dont have to be redeamble or liked. But no matter what character it is its not fair at all to just abandon all lore and project your own ideas onto.

Maybe it's my love for tragedy talking, but I like the idea of Handers living as fugitives, moving from place to place, not getting the happy ending they deserved (or not, arguably) but still finding happiness amd peace in each other. I think Hawke knew that, by sticking with Anders, he was accepting he'd never have a normal life again and based on Anders dialogue he came to terms with that a long time before he blew up the Chantry.
