someone come talk to me about Jerry Dandridge, former auror, current vampire (whose real name may or may not be Garry), and great great great uncle to one Percival Graves, Director of Magical Security & Head of Law Enforcement.
Cos I really love the idea of wizards just not being phased by Jerry AT ALL. And this annoys him, but he also secretly likes it.
He shows up at the Woolworth’s building and they’re just like “Percy! Your uncle’s back!”
Muggles are starting to notice people are going missing, Abernathy just sighs “Dammit, Jerry!” and calls the Obliviators. (In this au they don’t really care if he feeds off No-Maj’s as long as they don’t notice)
Jerry tries to work his vampire mo-jo on Queenie, she just laughs and pats his head. “Oh, you’re sweet honey, but I’m not into that sort of thing.”
Tina hates him because Graves always puts her on Vampire-Sitting duty when she screws up (which is often) and he’s a little afraid of her because she will not hesitate to put him in a full body bind and throw him in a closet if he annoys her too much. And she’s always criticising his eating habits. “Dammit Jerry, why teenagers? People care when young people go missing. They have friends! They have parents! Why can’t you eat some crotchety old person who lives alone with their cats?”
He’s fond of Percival, and keeps trying to convince him to let him turn him before he “gets too old”. “Dammit Jerry, stop asking me that! I have actual work to do. Why don't you make yourself useful. I have four very uncooperative suspects to interview, but if I threaten to feed them to a vampire they may be more forthcoming.” “Can I eat them after?” “Dammit Jerry! No!”
When Percival starts hooking up with Credence Barebone, Jerry tries to talk to him about this kid (Charley? Kevin?) who’s a pain in Jerry’s ass. and Percy’s just “What? Someone saw you? Either eat him or we’ll send the Obliviators over.”
Jerry: mumbles
Percival: What?
Jerry: You have one, why can’t I?
Percival: Dammit, Jerry! its not the same!

Blood Bound
Jerry Dandridge x Reader (Named)
You smile to yourself as you look out the window in the backseat of the taxi. Finally you were on your way home! College was great, but you missed your mom and little brother. They knew you were coming to visit but thought you were coming next week. When you were able to get the time off of work early you knew that you had to surprise them.
Checking your phone, you realized just how late it was getting.
“Would you be able to park a few houses down from the address, please? I’m trying to surprise my family and don’t want them to hear the car.
The driver nods and smiles at you through the rear view mirror.
“Sure thing!”
He was a kind older man with soft eyes that immediately made you feel less anxious about travel.
You thank him with a grin and grab the few small bags you had with you, the rest of your luggage having been put in the trunk.
The driver slows down a few houses down from the house, slowing to a stop and glancing at you through the mirror again.
“Do you need any help grabbing your stuff from the back, sweetheart?”
“I got it, but thank you so much! I hope you have a great rest of your night.”
You reached into the pocket of the hoodie you wore and grabbed out the wad of cash you had already counted, and leaned forward to hand it to the man.
He takes it from you, glancing at it briefly. He opened his mouth to decline, as it was much more than the required amount.
“The rest is for you. Thank you so much, I really appreciate it!”
You unbuckle yourself, stepping out into the cool night air. The trunk has already been opened, so you grab your large suitcase from it and close it, rolling it behind you as you walk toward the direction of your childhood home.
You wave at the driver as he pulls away from the curb, and make your way down the lit sidewalk. As you pass the house to the right of yours, you suddenly have the tingling sensation of being watched pour over you. You glance over at the house, and see a man watching you from the window. He’s not anyone you recognize, so you assume that the Perry’s house finally sold.
He is shrouded in darkness, and you’re only able to make out his silhouette watching you from where the curtain has been pushed back. Your step falters for a moment, and you give an awkward wave in his direction. He waves back and you keep going, now in the drive of your own home.
Once you make it to the door, you take a breath to ready yourself and then ring the door-bell. The chime breaks up the quiet night, and a few moments later you hear footsteps approach.
The lock clicks and your mom peeks around the door before gasping and throwing it open.
“Oh my god, Camille!” She jolts forward and wraps her arms around you, causing you to drop your bags.
You laugh, squeezing her just as hard in return. “Mom, I can’t breathe!”
She pulls away, leaving her hands on your shoulder. She gives you a bit of a sour look, and you know you’re in for it.
“You’re not supposed to be home until next week, young lady!”
You laugh nervously at her and bite your lip, a nervous tick of yours.
“Welllll, I was able to take some extra time off and decided to surprise you and Charley. I come with gifts!” You mention the last part, hoping that will soften her a bit.
Your mom is very detail oriented, and she doesn’t appreciate a sudden change of plans.
She glares at you playfully before rolling her eyes and grabbing one of your dropped bags.
“Alright, alright. You’re doing extra chores though.”
You pout as you follow her in, grabbing the rest of your things and securing the door behind you.
“Is Charley here?”
You both make it to the living room, where she sets your bag on the sofa.
“He is, but let me look at you first.” She makes a grabby motion with both hands and you link yours with hers. She looks you over for a moment before nodding to herself. “I see you finally got rid of that god awful hoodie of your father’s” she mentions, noticing you aren’t wearing it. You practically live in the thing and everyone knows it.
You grin sheepishly. “It’s in my bag actually.”
She rolls her eyes and sighs, dropping her hands from yours. “Well a woman can dream”.
She makes her way to the base of the stairs before shouting up, “Charley, get your ass down here!”
There’s a brief pause before he shouts back. “What, mom?!”
“Just get your ass down here!”
You smile over at her. It’s good to be back home, even if your mom and Charley still argue over everything.
You can hear Charley stomping down the hallway from his room before he appears at the top of the stairs.
“What?” He asks in exasperation. Your mom just steps to the side, allowing him to see your form still standing near the couch. You wave at him as his face lights up. “Mills!”
“Ley!” You grin at each other as he bounds down the stairs and engulfs you in a hug. You’re very grateful to be so close to your brother as not a lot of people have a good friendship with their siblings.
He rocks you back and forth for a minute before letting you go. You both do the secret handshake that you created when you were little, consisting of fist bumps and weird dance moves.
“I thought you weren’t coming until next week?” He asks.
“Thought I’d surprise you guys a little.” Your mom steps next to you both.
“You’re just in time for dinner, Camille. I’ll get you a plate.” She motions toward the kitchen and for the first time since stepping into the house you realize that the smell of taco meat is coming from the kitchen. Your stomach grumbles and you and Charley laugh at each other, before making your way to the table.

Some time later finds the three of you laughing and catching up in between bites. When the laughter from one of Charley’s high school stories dies down you ask a question that’s been bothering you.
“So when did the Perry’s move out?” You ask, wiping your mouth with a napkin.
Charley groans and your mom smiles to herself, causing you to raise an eyebrow at them.
“Couple of weeks back. Jerry does night construction, so we don’t see him a lot.” Your mom has a wistful tone to her voice and you grin at her.
“Jerry, huh? You guys are on a first name basis already?”
Charley snorts into his drink. “Should’ve seen her the other day, I thought she was gonna pass out just from talking to him.”
Your mom crosses her arms and side eyes him. “He’s just got an attitude because Amy thought he was hot, too.”
Charley lets out an indignant “hey!” As you laugh at them.
“Why, did you run into him on your way in?” Your mom enquiers .
You shake your head and lean back a bit in your chair. “Nah, I just saw him at the window. He probably heard my taxiaand was making sure I wasn’t a murderer.”
Charley laughs again, pushing his chair back from the table. “You? You cry when we watch Spirited Away and it’s not even a sad movie.”
“Hey, that poor girl went through a lot!”
Your mom and brother laugh at you as you cross your arms and pout.
A yawn breaks the moment, as you cover your mouth with your hand. The couple of hours of travel from your apartment really took a lot out of you it seems.
“I’m super beat, though, so I may head up to bed.”
Charley shakes his head at you. “I see, you’re the guest so you don’t have to do the dishes. I get it.” He says sarcastically.
“Hi, Mill’s. Nice to see you, Mills. Thank you for taking time off of school and work to come see us.” You say back just as sarcastically. Your mom rolls her eyes at both of you.
“You know what, both of you get to do the dishes now!”
You both groan at her, but get to it anyway.

The next day, you have the house to yourself since Charley is at school and your mom is at work. You unpacked your bags the night before, and are just tucking into some lunch and a B horror movie in the living room since it’s storming out, when there’s a knock at the door.
You’re wearing an oversized t-shirt and a pair of short-shorts that you deem fine enough to be seen in. You unlock the door and peek out.
The man standing on your porch is quite possibly the hottest guy you’d ever seen. He’s got gorgeous dark hair and eyes and is wearing a white tank top, that perfectly shows off his tanned muscles. He grins at you as he makes eye contact and your heart stutters in your chest.
“Hi, I’m the new neighbor, Jerry. Your mom mentioned a while back that you’d be coming home from school soon, and I wanted to introduce myself.” He extends a hand to you.
You open the door fully now, and take his hand in yours. As you touch, you feel a shock, the same kind you get from touching metal after doing the laundry.
“Hi, I’m Camille, but I’m sure my mom told you that already.”
You’re nervous for some reason, and he seems to sense that. His smile gets wider and he releases your hand.
“It’s nice to meet you. I’ll let you get back to your day. I’ll see you around.”
He backs away from you as he finishes talking, and walks back to his own front door.
You stare after him for a moment before realizing what a creep you’re being and shut the door. You lean your back against it for a moment as you feel your heart beating a thousand miles an hour.
What the hell was that?

Meanwhile in his own home, Jerry takes a deep breath, trying to memorize your scent. He grins to himself.
Who would have thought that he’d finally find you in the middle of Bumfuck, Nowhere. And right next door at that.
Oh well, he thinks to himself. You’re almost his, he just has to put in a little bit of elbow grease to finally have you

Summary: Billy tells you that Jerry was caught feeding by the next door neighbor

You ran your hands through your hair, yawning. You looked around the basement of the new house. It was still odd to be there. It was only your second night after all and you figured it was going to take a while to get used to it. Once it was unpacked you would like it better.
You climbed out of your coffin. You heard the top slide off of Jerry’s coffin and looked over at him. He sat up, stretching. He looked over at you, a charming smile on his face.
“Good morning,” you muttered.
“Good night,” he corrected. You rolled your eyes and walked up the stairs into the main part of the house. Billy was standing at the top of the stairs, waiting for the two of you.
“Did Jerry tell you that the kid next door saw him feeding on that girl?” he said. You raised an eyebrow, shaking your head. Billy fixed a part of your hair that you hadn’t noticed was out of place. Despite the fact that you couldn’t see yourself in the mirror, being a vampire had it’s own perks. You would usually wake up looking just as good as you had before you fell asleep. With a couple hairs out of place that was.
“No he did not. Is that something we’re going to have to worry about?”
“I think Jerry is going to go over today and get invited in by the mother. You should go with him. It’ll add to the show if he’s married,” Billy commented.
“Why don’t you go Billy? A nice gay couple is even more disarming,” you pointed out cheekily. He gave you a pointed look.
“You two had the ceremony,” he said.
“You’re right, you’re right. I just am tired of going to peoples houses.” You were in the mian part of the house now. Boxes littered the floor.
“Why are you tired of going to peoples houses?” Jerry asked, coming up the stairs. You leaned against the wall and shrugged.
“Because you, good sir, keep making us go to other peoples houses. We have to threaten another person, kill another person. Then we move. I just want a nice house Jerry.” He walked up to you, putting his hand on your cheek. His nails dragged lightly across your skin.
“We will have a nice house. We just need to make sure this kid isn’t going to cause us more harm,” he said. “Worst case scenario, we get dinner.”
“Close the blinds Jerry. Next time you eat, close the blinds.”
“I will make sure that the blinds are closed,” he said. You nodded, lips pursed into a line. You put your hand on his that was on your cheek. You slid it down to your lips and kissed his hand gently. You let out a sigh and walked away from him.
“I’ll get dressed and we’ll go over.”
You stood on the next door neighbors porch, arms crossed. Jerry knocked on the door and a lady opened it. You put a smile on your face and she opened her eyes wide.
“Hello!” she said brightly.
“Hi, we’re the new next door nieghbors. I’m Jerry and this is my wife, Y/N.” She shook his hands and you shook hers, nodding quickly.
“Very nice to meet you both! I’m Judy! Come in, come in. My son Charley said he might have seen the two of you earlier yesterday, I’ve been meaning to stop by,” she said happily. You and Jerry took the step inside now that you had been invited. It was smaller than your home which was funny, considering the fact that they were next door to each other. Yours was in disrepair though and would likely look a lot like this if you had bad taste in wallpaper.
“We’ll have to meet him at some point too, properly,” you said. She nodded.
“I’ll go get him, I’m sure that he’ll wana see the two of you.” She rushed up the stairs leaving the two of you alone. You peeked through the window and pointed out of it.
“Look at that. Our windows right there,” you muttered.
“I’ll close the blinds, I already said,” he told you. You gave him a look and he gave you one back but ultimately you just shut their blinds inside, just in case. You heard Judy come down the stairs with the problem child.
“Charley, these are our neighbors, Y/N and Jerry…”
“Dandrige,” you said.
Charley saw the two of you and froze, his face paralized in fear. You smiled at him and shook his hand. You let the fangs come out a bit, for effect and then took a step back beside Jerry again. Jerry spoke.
“Nice to meet you properly Charley.”

Lost Boys X Fright Night (1985) Crossover for @dumbfuck-mojave
Note: First off, apologies from me. This took me WAY WAY longer than I had planned on. In part due to the hours I’ve been working on top of some other things. I have gotten time to work on this periodically and was able to revise and change things here and there. BUT, I hope this fulfills your request, there isn’t as much dialogue as I wanted but I think I’m relatively happy with the outcome! 😊 I hope you enjoy! 💕💕 And for the sake of this piece Billy lives! And Max… does not exist.
Warnings: None that I can think of, just one teensy insinuation to smoking weed if you squint. Also not a warning but just in case the format is a bit wonky I also apologize for that…
Jerry had just barely escaped being burnt to a crisp, in fact it was a miracle he was alive at all! He really did have to give credit where credit was due, Charley was one clever boy. This was probably the first of many attempts to kill him in his thousands of years that someone had gotten quite so close to ending him once and for all. At the end of the day though, Jerry would let the young man have his satisfaction that he had taken down a vampire, saved the girl and lived to tell the tale.
It was only by chance that when Charley, Amy and the old man, Peter Vincent, hit the floor to escape the eruption of flame from the sunlight beaming through the broken basement windows, Jerry had crawled to shelter under a cabinet in his bat-like form and uncomfortably waited there out of sight of his attempted killers until night time when Billy came to the rescue, placing him inside his coffin and assuring him he’d find another place for them to live.
Billy wasted no time in finding a new home for the two of them and eventually settled on a spot about five hours down the coast from LA.

How inviting.
So for the next couple years of deep sleep, Billy found and fixed up a lovely home which sat overlooking the Pacific Ocean making for a wonderful view. Not to mention, no windows in the basement. That was a mistake he never intended to make again.
When Jerry did eventually wake he was greeted by Billy who wore the biggest grin, “Welcome back, Jerry.”
He felt refreshed and famished. Jerry didn’t spend long on the formalities, that would come later and Billy understood.
Jerry’s first night on the Boardwalk was love at first sight. Surfers, goths, hippies and everyone in between roamed the area. So many new sights and smells to take in. It was the perfect hunting ground with the amount of people that went missing around here, no one was likely to bat an eye at a few more. Jerry liked to play with his food and what better place than this? It was absolutely exhilarating.
It was on his second night that he came face to face with the source of all the missing persons. And it’s introduction came with the sound of motorbikes.
A group of four boys zoomed by causing a ruckus amongst the crowd of people. Letting out a series of whoops and hollers, pleased with their commotion. They were unmistakably his kind, the first of which he had encountered in a few hundred years.
The first of the boys to dismount his bike had a bleach blonde mullet and was clad in a black trench coat. Two of them were a bit taller, a blonde boy and a dark haired boy with a serious face. The last was the shortest with curly blonde hair and a devilish smirk. No matter how much older than Jerry was than them he was certainly not stupid. He decided it best to hang back and observe the young vampires. When they eventually caught each other’s attention, it was like a pack of hyenas meeting the gaze of a lion. A few words were exchanged between the boys before the bleach blonde led his gang in the opposite direction.
Jerry hummed in amusement as well as curiosity and when he got home that night he told Billy what he had witnessed.
“I’m not the only one here.”

David was very on edge after the encounter, but he tried his best not to show it. His home had been invaded by an obviously older and stronger vampire, he felt threatened. Now, David was not one to show weakness. He’d always been so confident in his own strength until now. They had always been the only ones of their kind around here, the sudden change was earth rattling. In fact all of the boys would have been kidding themselves if they said they weren’t afraid of Jerry, and none of them ever admitted it aloud.
The moment David would even catch a whiff of Jerry, he would detour away from the elder vampire. He was determined to stay as far away as possible from him. Until it was unavoidable.
Upon their first encounter, the boys had started to cause a bit too much trouble on the Boardwalk when a security officer got involved asking the reluctant vampires to leave. Jerry turned the idea of getting involved over in his mind, eventually deciding that it may not be such a bad idea to introduce himself as something other than a threat.
“Hey, would you mind leaving my boys alone? I do apologize for their trouble making,” A sturdy voice said, Marko was the first to turn around and face it with wide eyes.
“I couldn’t give a shit less, just get these delinquents outta. Here before I change my mind. Just don’t kill anybody aight?” The security man grumbled with a shake of his head. Jerry smiled at the boys as they passed by him, sneaking him uneasy glances. Jerry couldn’t help but smirk.
“Well, well. It’s finally nice to see you boys up close. I’m sure it’s no secret at this point, we’ve got each other pegged, “ He stuck out a hand, ever the gentlemen, but received nothing but stares.
“Yeah we got a pretty good idea, now why the hell do you keep watching us old man?” David spat, finally facing up to his fears. This caused Jerry to chuckle.
“Old man? Well I can’t say you’re wrong. But you aren’t really eighteen now are you?”
David huffed a bit. He was going to tread lightly, but his fear began to dissipate.
“I’m Jerry by the way. Jerry Dandrige.”
Silence. The boys remained silent until David decided to speak up.
“David. This is Paul, Dwayne, and Marko,”
“Charmed.”
“Right. Well, if you don’t mind we gotta get going.” David said as he began to turn on his heel and leave.
“Thanks for saving our asses, even though we could’ve handled it ourselves.” Paul piped up, deciding to be friendly mixed with being a bit stoned, contributing to friendliness. Either way it was completely genuine. Jerry really had saved them, anyone would probably have taken Jerry’s word over theirs, but the boys weren’t about to let on that they couldn’t handle themselves.
“Don’t mention it,” Jerry responded, watching them depart. He received a small two fingered salute from Marko and a nod from Dwayne.
That had broken the ice. Jerry fell into the roll of mentor, teaching them better hunting tactics outside of the wild ways they had always known. Dwayne, Paul, and Marko warmed up to him surprisingly quickly. David on the other hand was the harder one to crack, although it was clear he had grown a lot of respect for Jerry. They ended up being quite the bunch and Jerry did his very best to keep them out of any kind of trouble that could potentially cause them any real harm. For the most part they knew how to handle themselves, he simply took them under his wing.
The real issue with Jerry was when he learned of the boy's living conditions. He quirked an eyebrow when they explained their cave. When Jerry got home that night, he explained to Billy in full about the four feral boys on the Boardwalk.
“You know if you feel that bad, you could always let them stay here,” Billy suggested with a shrug, desperately trying to read Jerry’s expression. Sure he had taken them under his tutelage and was beginning to trust them, but inviting them into his home was a different ball game.
“I suppose. I’ll give it some thought,” he sat in quiet thought, pressing his lips together.
“Of course. Just sleep on it,” Billy grinned and went off to attend to his own business.
Jerry took Billy’s advice, and the next night decided to make the boys the offer to which he received some of the most peculiar glances as if to ask, are you serious?
“You’re kidding right?” David asked. He was on high alert, no one was this nice without a catch,
“Not at all. However, you're more than welcome to stay in your cave.” He certainly wasn’t going to force them, that would be like caging a wild animal.
The boys never showed, as they were content in their cave, and although Jerry couldn’t imagine himself living in such conditions he also understood it was all they had known. So one night upon opening his coffin, he was shocked to see the four boys hanging from the rafters asleep. It came as quite a shock to him, it had been months, but he was also glad to see they had taken him up on his offer.
This was the last thing he had expected to happen to him upon relocating, these boys had become a part of his life now, they became the sons he had never asked for or even considered wanting. He never knew he’d end up with such strong paternal feelings, and although they didn’t stay the night often he was glad when they did.

Storybook Squares (February 1969?)
Storybook Squares was the name given to a special series of episodes of the NBC game show Hollywood Squares. The series featured celebrities dressed up as famous people and characters from history and various forms of media.
Peter Marshall served as host of these episodes. The panelists were introduced by "The Guardian of the Gate", who announced their characters' presence by reading their names from a scroll. The Guardian was played by regular Hollywood Squares announcer Kenny Williams, and the character was similar to his "Town Crier" character from Video Village.
The series ran on NBC on Saturday mornings from January 4 to April 19, 1969, with repeats airing until August 30. The concept was revived during the 1976-77 season as a series of special theme weeks on the daytime Hollywood Squares.
Format
On the original edition of Storybook Squares, the game was played in the same manner as the regular game, with celebrities in the squares dressed as storybook and nursery rhyme characters. Two children competed, always boy vs. girl with the boy as X and the girl as Circle. They played as many games as time permitted, with a prize being awarded for each win. No money was awarded; a Secret Square game for the first two games was played, with the setup identical to the 1968 primetime game and first two years of the syndicated version—that is, if the first game's Secret Square was not won, the package was combined with that of the second game, and then after that it was not won.
Panelists
The only panelist from the adult show who played as he normally would was Cliff Arquette, who carried his "Charley Weaver" persona over to Storybook Squares. The other panelists played characters from fairy tales and books, historical figures, or in some cases the characters they played on television.
Unlike the parent series, on Storybook Squares each panelist/character was given an elaborate introduction as they entered the set and took their place on the board, allowing for a brief comic interaction with host Marshall as they did so. Some of the celebrities who appeared were:

* Jim Backus as Mr. Magoo (animated character for whom he provided the voice) and Thurston Howell III (his character from Gilligan's Island)

1976-77 return
When the daytime series brought back Storybook Squares, its format was changed slightly. Instead of a two-player match featuring boys playing girls, the matches used a team format with the boys playing with their fathers and grandfathers and the girls with their mothers and grandmothers.
The children played the first game of the match, with the parents playing the second and the grandparents each subsequent game as time permitted. $300 was awarded for each game won, with $50 awarded per square if time was called during a game.
The team with the most money at the end of the game won a large prize, such as a car or exotic vacation.

He’d heard that same phrase for a long while, following him throughout his adolescence like some vengeful ghost. Maybe that was why he enjoyed hanging out with Jerry so much. If anything, their time together was a reprieve from the constant expectations Charley felt as though he were buckling under. “I’m just going to take this as some compliment about how mature I am though.” Smiling, the boy took a swig of the beer the vampire had so graciously provided, before wrapping his arms around the man in a quick hug. He always got affectionate whenever he was too drunk. The boy simply couldn’t help it.
