Ok round 3 update in my Voyager fanfic bookbinding spree. Got around to binding Desperate Measures, an absolute classic by @mia-cooper, Unbroken by @elephant-in-the-pride-parade which she just recently posted and I read waaaayyy too quickly because it was so good, and lastly a quarto bind of Albatross by LittleLynn which I absolutely love and was requested by @terribly-late-for-tea. <3

Fic recommendations please!

Hi there! I’m new to the JC fandom and would love recommendations for which authors to try.

I love angst, romance (but not sentimentality) and a bit of humor too. But angst is my thing. Most important for me is that the characters are true to what we got in the show.

If anyone could recommend a few writers to start with I’d be super super grateful.

I like longer stories more than one-shots, and M/NC-17 descriptions of sex aren’t my thing. Teen and up is good 😌

----- “Just in case this doesn’t work…” Kathryn trails off and her brief hesitation is all Chakotay needs to hear to know he should stop her. 

“You don’t have to say anything.”

“I do. Chakotay, I need you to know, in case…”

“Kathryn, I already know.”

“You do?” She looks up at him through long lashes. 

“Of course. I’ve known for years.”

“Oh.” Kathryn looks taken aback, her mouth retaining the shape of the simple word.

“I didn’t realize I was so transparent,” she admits, even as they hold a silent conversation with their eyes, just like always.

“Only to me,” he says with a soft smile, and unconsciously, her eyes dart between his curling lips and his deep, warm coffee-colored eyes.  

Their eyes continue to speak volumes, but the room remains silent. 

“Are you with me?” she finally asks aloud, offering him her hand. 

He takes it, without hesitation. “Always.”

Calling all Janeway/Chakotay fans, I'm trying to find a fic & I'm hoping someone can help...please🙏

My fic recollection... Janeway is in her quarters & hears Chakotay, call out or something, she goes to his quarters - lets herself in. I think he was in the bathroom, but he's unconscious on the floor. I think she calls for sickbay, but they can't transport him, Tom has to make his way to them. Meanwhile they have sex on the floor. Tom enters Chakotay's quarters & reluctantly tells them they need to stop cos he needs medical assistance asap. Janeway can't stand up though so Tom has to help her. Obviously she's mortified!!

I love angst, and action/plot/conflict rather than just romance, and explicit descriptions of sex really aren’t for me. I like stories where J &C have flaws and make mistakes🤗

I read the relaunch books and liked Kirsten Beyer’s writing, but - not enough JC there!

Surprise (to you and to me)! I wrote more chapters of this little Whumptober inspired one-shot. Enjoy! Chapter 1 Chapter 2 (excerpt below the cut)

Despite the destruction the plasma storm caused, Chakotay couldn’t see it as anything other than a beginning. 

He had been waiting, patiently, for weeks. Waiting for Kathryn to accept their situation and waiting for her to accept him . Their night under the table during the storm, she had not only accepted him, she had embraced him. She had absorbed him. They had melted into each other like anglerfish, never to be separated again.

Or so he thought.
