Riz’s first game on the Owlbears is a hot, sweltering day, everyone in the stands sweating as they cheer and jibe at the teams. Kristen Applebees with pale skin, red hair, and a multitude of freckles is no exception. Jawbone had shoved a sunhat on her before she left and Adaine and her traded sunscreen back and forth and she stayed hydrated she did, she really really did.

But three days later and in the middle of a flare. A flare that started the morning after the game.

One thing I’m Hoping for Jawbone tricking Riz into taking better care of himself.

You need someone to bounce ideas off of? Ok kid yeah let’s do that over a nutritionally balanced meal I made for you.

You want to train more for combat? sure sure sure ok but how about some relaxing yoga so you stay nimble and flexible in combat.

Hot take: if they had been even a little bit more involved in s1, the Thistlesprings would have been good people to take in Kristen!

They're open in a way that directly contradicts everything her parents were against, including about sex and such! She would have actually had adults in the home that she would be able to talk to about it! Also, they're really dedicated and I think would so a better job of checking up with her! Not that Jawbone and Sandra Lynn are doing a bad job, they're just super outnumbered as things are! The Thistlesprings are less busy! Plus I think it's be cute for her and Gorgug to get more screen time together (especially when you consider that he's the first person she talked to in Freshman year idk I think that's nice).

To add to the bit of it all, it would make Kristen and Gorgug siblings to further cement the whole they're-slowly-becoming-one-big-family thing

thinking about how difficult it must’ve been for Adaine to navigate her disorder without any support from any adults, and how jawbones reassurance (confusing and intense as it was) took an absolutely massive weight off of her back. I don't think we actually know what race Jawbone is. We only know he is a werewolf but that doesn't mean we know if he is human or elve of anything else. Even his art always leans werewolf so I guess I assumed human but we don't know and his name is Jawbone so we don't know from his name what he could be. I mean Jawbone could be Orcish or in a category of monstrous races

Is his name even Jawbone or is that a name he gave himself after turning into a werewolf, I have so many questions now

Hey so quick confession when it got spoiled for me that Jawbone becomes Fig's step dad I thought it was bc he started dating GILEAR.

Sandra Lynn never occurred to me until brennon said it himself.
