Just imagine Kipperlilly rolling up to the new guidance counsellors office after the pervious one got killed to bring back some kids to life. And she sits there complaining about not having a tragic backstory since every rouge needs a tragic backstory, and that it’s so unfair that Riz has one. He’s got a dead dad, a mom who over works, a missing baby sitter, and he’s poor. And she’s got a pretty much perfect white picket fence life. And all the while the werewolf guidance counsellor who stays as half wolf as a from of a political statement, who less than a few weeks ago was a drug dealer and super down on his luck and life was just over all bad for him has to be like “hmm yea unfair… how about your adventuring skills?”

Ruben Voted to change the party name because he knew it would piss kipperlilly off

Fabian offered a truce and made up with his (LEGALLY AND FINANCIALLY RECOGNIZED) nemesis so his friend could go one a date without it being weird, Kristin didn’t even ask him to do it.

It’s not that the Ratgrinders don’t know eachother, they know eachother. They just don’t like these people they know so well.

The bad kids know eachother and like love the people they’ve gotten to know. They have allowed themselves to be changed by one another, to become better for eachother.

The ratgrinders will unprompted find ways to slight eachother, get some sort of advantage over their party members.

The Bad Kids don’t have to ask eachother to be caring. They would lower themselves so they don’t block the others from view.

They are not the same.

You know what made me really happy this episode. When Kristen tried being catty to Aelwyn to make her more comfortable. Because not only does that mean they really care for her, it also means that Adaine went and told the others about how Aelwyn felt uncomfortable with al the therapist speak and niceness. And maybe even asked them if they could do something about it. And I just think that is beautiful

Thinking about. Rizbert. Erizabeth. Rizwalda. Riz has to be short for something because... because why? Is he 'too good' for a short name? (a goblin name?) Isn't he surrounded by non-goblins who cannot think outside their cultural perceptions of what a name is supposed to be? Riz both as a name and as a person seems short & lesser but don't worry, he's really something greater, something larger and longer than can be expressed with his native name. As if something small cannot be powerful and important without secretly being large. As if there is only one way to be great. It's like Sklonda said, his name is Riz. Just Riz, as if there's anything 'just' about it.

I feel like this last episode really has been such a big reminder that Jawbone is not in any way trained to be a guidance counselor. Is he amazing at his job yes he’s great he’s helped so many kids but he is not legally qualified, plus there’s the added factor of him only having the job because of a party of students who are currently at the school and his adoptive daughter stepdaughter and the kid whose been living with him for months all go there so he can’t be truly impartial in matters concerning them like he’s supposed to. Do I think he shouldn’t have the job no because he’s amazing at it otherwise but I do think that there should be a second counselor with no connections to any of the students

I know it's been said before but man so many of Fabians scenes that are played as bits are heartbreaking. Like I keep thinking about the scene of Gorgug leaving the Owlbears and the whole towel slapping bit covers it up but Fabian seems so genuinely crushed that he's loosing this one connection he has to his friend in a year where he's already feeling so alone after his parents literally disapear for the whole season. Also in the most recent episode Fabian makes some comment about not seeing any voicemails or texts from his mom iirc? Man Halariel sucks so much as a mom Fabian deserves better.

Im just thinking about how Kipperlily manufactured her own villainous origin story by getting her most loyal friend murdered and cursed as a result of her own greed for public acknowledgment and power.

Kipperlily blamed the system for her own mediocrity. She saw her peers succeed against the odds - and came to the delusional conclusion that the injustice they survived was actually a stepping stone to greatness that she didn’t get.

She wanted what they had - perceived success and accolades. But instead of seeking out opportunities for her to showcase her own skills- she decided to try and bring others down to her level by cutting them off at the knees.

So she schemed to find loopholes in the rules to make the system bias in her favor. She believed she was right and had no interest in looking for information that could prove her wrong. Because she didn’t want fairness, she wanted success.

She decided that it was unfair that her peers suffered injustice- not because they were kids who deserved better but because she felt that they were getting something special she didn’t have. Clearly a shortsighted, childish jealousy but the stupidity of it all doesn’t make the hatred less genuine or dangerous.

In contrast: Lucy Frostblade was defined by her loyalty - loyalty to her divinity, loyalty to her increasingly unhinged friend, and loyalty to her own principles.

Lucy was the one person who backed up Kipperlily’s choices, mainly as a show of support for her suffering friend. And in return Kipperlily let her friend get brutally murdered (or possibly murdered Lucy herself).

Because in the end Kipperlily was only loyal to herself and her interests. And Lucy refused to abandon her principles and her goddess in the name of her friend's greed.

Kipperlily’s best friend was Lucy Frostblade and she feels betrayed that Lucy chose her god over coming back to life, coming back to Kipperlily.

Lucy abandoned her, and Kristen Applebees keeps coming back from the dead to live on with her party. She won’t leave them.

Kipperlily wants Kristen dead, maybe then the Bad Kids would understand what it is to feel alone.
