YouTube has been recommending me a fuckton of random no context compilations of various animes and they’re so funny I’m considering watching them but there’s so many I need a list at this point okay here we go
Kaguya sama love is war
Bocchi the rock
Sasaki and miyano
Monthly girls nozaki kun
Uramichi onii san
Buddy daddies (I’ve actually had these clips recommended before but now I’m reminded of them!)
Subject to change as I keep getting recommended the funniest shit I’ve seen in my life
This is why i love japanese animation since my childhood - even before i could read or write - i would get mesmerized looking at Anime on TV.😍
The representation of real life’s things were so expressive and beautiful...😍
Whenever I decide to watch some great, old and permanent-trauma-causing japanese cartoon [links are to wikipedia description] - it must be under certain circumstances:
In december 2020 I had Covid-19: laying with 39 degree fever for more than 3 days, sweating and exhausted - and then I watched Chirin's Bell (チリンの鈴, Chirin no Suzu) 1978
youtube
In july 2021 a had Salmonellosis, with not only 39 degree fever but also constant very dehydratating diarrhoea lasting more than 2 days - I watched Barefoot Gen (はだしのゲン, Hadashi no Gen) 1983
youtube
In 2022 I planned to watch Perfect Blue ( パーフェクトブルー ) 1997... But thank goodness I never was that sick!!!👍
Had a boss ask me if I “enjoy Japanese cartoons” because I “look like someone who does”.
So thank you to Dr. Dan for the sickest burn I’ve ever received, glad I was in the emergency department for that one. You’re adorably out of touch and it’s called Anime but I would have looked like an even bigger nerd for correcting you.
My dad is watching my brother play p5r (did I already mention that…?)
Even after all this time I still find it funny that he’s watching and following along. I know it’s stereotyping but he’s basically this
Iirc the only games he knows well are golf sims on the sega Genesis and maybe a few Marios over the years? So him following along with your typical batshit fantasy jrpg is like cognitive dissonance to me
(And I know people of all ages, types, etc can like anime, the main point is that he doesn’t. He’s like me when I first started watching anime: struggling to remember names, learning honorifics, stuff like that. The fact that he’s a Dad dad is like the cherry on top)
