I love that they decided to show a loving child free marriage for Shawn and Juliet. Its rare, especially for network tv, to show fulfillment in life is different for everyone.
BUT
…i crave full circle closure. I need a scene where Shawn is teaching them how he does what he does- not by force like Henry - but because they asked. Then they run off to play at their neighbors, the Guster’s.
Okay so I'm listening to Maggie Lawson's and Timothy Omundson's podcast talking about Psych with other cast and crew and stuff and in the second episode of the podcast they and James Roday Rodriguez talk about how he had written rated R horror movies before he was approached by Steve Franks to co-write Scary Sherrie
AND THE SCENE WHERE THE GIRL IS MURDERER WITH THE TOASTER TUB WAS ORIGINALLY WRITTEN AS SHE GETS BEHEADED AND HER HEAD ROLLS DOWN THE STAIRS TO THEM
If you ever watch the movie *A bugs life* I can’t help but headcanon Lich’s voice as Hopper cuz he’s a bully and a boss man.😅 especially the last scene where the ants finally are fed up with him and face him for being a tyrant that he is.
That's awesome you have a voice you can hear for Lich. I haven't watched a Bugs Life in a long time, but I liked the movie as a little kid. I can see the parallels with the characters.
Originally, when I first came up with the concept of Lich's character (Can’t even remember what I originally named him. Maybe it was the same name. Can’t remember. Wow…
Either way, Lich's original backstory/ role in a fanfic [I won't name because I wrote it in middle school and it was AWFUL], was very different from what it is now. The plot of the fuc was a ripoff of the movie ,“Heavy Metal” so Ronnie James Dio or Alice Cooper were the two voices I usually associated him with. "The Mob Rules" and "The Black Widdow" are Lich's theme songs.
BUT Kevin Spacey's voice fits Lich very well, now that you pointed it out.
He is oozing with Hopper vibes.
If I had an obscene amount of money to spend, I would hire these voice actors/actresses/ singers (resurrect them from the grave if necessary) to play my ocs and/or Characters from Invader Zim that never officially were assigned hired voice actors.
At least most of my Irken ocs have voices picked out.
Pepperoncini: Sir Christopher Lee (?) Earle Hyman (?) Even those two would have to pitch their voices lower and more gravely. Cini's voice, especially in his later years, is very, VERY deep and ravaged by centuries of smoking pipe amber.
I guess the contrast in his bright, lighthearted, bubbly personality amuses me.
I can’t think of a voice that perfectly matches the voice Cini has in my head. Any suggestions would be welcome.
I loosely based his personality on Phyllis Diller and Vincent Price, to give an idea of his mannerisms.
Spinch: Martha Kelly (so shy)
Hoola: Eric Bauza (His personality is based on Daffy Duck, though lacking in WB toon antics and the lisp.)
Rook/ the Sage: Originally I imagined John Cleese playing Rook, at least in Rook's older years (because he was based on the Monty Python’s Holy Grail Tim the Enchanter) or Suzy Izzard.
But again, now that you pointed out the parallels, David Foley fits pretty well too.
Miyuki: I'm sure plenty of people would disagree with me, but I think Cher (or at least a younger Cher), Lynne Lipton (again, younger), or Cree Summer would make great choices for Miyuki.
Kii: Can't get Melissa Fahn's voice out of my head for her, but any suggestions are welcome. Maybe Doro Pesch.
Soxx: Percy Rodriguez (would have to bring him back from the dead)
Hitz: Richard Romanus
Spork: Lorenzo Music (I just do)
Commander Poki: Brooke Dillman (I love that woman's voice. Boss as shit.)
Frylady Soo-Garr: Kristin Chenoweth or Grey DeLisle. Either. Either or would pull off her vindictive personality perfectly.
Pielord Emis-Gee: Ron Funches
Brewmaster Shakkin: Christopher McCulloch
Yeet: Hong Chau (so spunky!)
Vroog: Billie Mae Richards or Maria Bamford for a living person to play her.
Irken Gir would be played by Rosearik Rikki Simons, just no synthesizers or anything.
This is not a complete list by far. If you’re curious about any of ocs that I didn’t list, you can ask about or make suggestions.
Hearing the voices helps develop the character for me
Starring James Roday Rodriguez (Psych, A Million Little Things) and Legacy Theatre’s own Artistic Director and co-founder, Keely Baisden Knudsen, Love Letters is a unique and imaginative piece of theatre comprised of letters exchanged over a lifetime between two people who grew up together, went their separate ways, but continued to share confidences. As the actors read the letters aloud, what is created is an evocative, touching, frequently funny but always telling pair of character studies in which what is implied is as revealing and meaningful as what is actually written down.
“A.R. Gurney’s deceptively simple 1988 epistolary two-hander, Love Letters, is that rare work whose emotional richness requires no embellishment in order to become a full-bodied theatrical experience.” - David Rooney, The Hollywood Reporter
Beyond Apocalypse: Why HBO's Scavengers Reign Demands Your Attention
If you’re looking for a show that will keep you on the edge of your seat, Scavengers Reign is definitely worth checking out. The animation is stunning, and the story is both thought-provoking and entertaining. Whether you’re a fan of science-fiction or just looking for something new to watch, Scavengers Reign is a great choice.
Imagine a post-apocalyptic world where survival is a daily battle, and the lines between hero and villain blur. That's the backdrop of Scavengers Reign. The show hooks you in from the get-go with its gripping storyline, complex characters, and stunning visuals. Trust me; this is one series you won't want to miss.
Scavengers Reign follows the Demeter's four human survivors as they attempt to navigate this world in vastly different ways. Loner Azi (voiced by Wunmi Mosaku) tries to build and maintain a homestead with the help of her robot companion, Levi (voiced by Alia Shawkat). Pilot Sam and botanist Ursula (voiced by Bob Stephenson and Sunita Mani) make use of Vesta's many resources to try to find a way off-planet. Then, there's the deeply troubled Kamen (voiced by Ted Travelstead), who finds himself in the thrall of a hypnotic, toad-like creature simply known as Hollow.
co-creators Joseph Bennett and Charles Huettner (working from their 2016 short Scavengers) craft a tight story of survival and ecological turmoil
What makes Scavengers Reign stand out is its ability to weave together action, drama, and mystery flawlessly. Each episode leaves you craving more, with unexpected twists and turns that'll have you reeling.
One of the key highlights of this series is its phenomenal cast. From seasoned actors to rising stars, each performance is captivating, adding layers of depth to the narrative. You'll find yourself emotionally invested in the characters, rooting for some while questioning the motives of others—a rollercoaster of emotions, to say the least!
Moreover, the production quality is top-notch. The attention to detail in creating the post-apocalyptic world is mind-blowing. The set designs, costumes, and special effects transport you into this dystopian realm, making it all the more immersive.
But don't just take my word for it. Dive into Scavengers Reign and experience the adrenaline rush yourself. Be warned, though: once you start, it's hard to stop. So, grab your popcorn, settle in, and prepare for an unforgettable journey through a world where survival is the ultimate prize.
This series isn't just entertainment; it's an experience—a thrilling, heart-pounding adventure that'll have you eagerly anticipating each new episode.
So, what are you waiting for? Join the scavengers' world, where every decision could be a matter of life or death.

Ohhhh where do u think both bradley’s n reader’s careers were six years ago?? Aside from bradley being a prat 😭 idk if u are familiar with the bundesliga too but i used to be a big fan of james rodriguez when he player for bayern n i remember him being on the bench for LONG periods of time, n im pretty sure he was vocal about his frustration but dont quote me on that. Do you think smth similar happened to bradley?? He being kept off the field and on the bench n stuff. Has he been in any other club? Leagues perhaps??
Also funny thought that came to my mind is carmy n footballer!bradley existing in the same universe just for the levis collab bye.
ohhhh you’re onto something here babe 👀 im not all that familiar with james rodriguez or bundesliga but this is v v interesting!
footballer!bradley is somewhat based off of aaron ramsey, who has one of the best comeback stories ever. he was a rising star until he suffered a terrible injury that put him out for over a year and i can imagine bradley going through something like that?? (probably not as bad bc ramsey’s broken leg was HORRIFIC. seriously. look it up at your own discretion.)
six years ago, bradley was on top of the world. he scored the winning goal in the FA Cup, and was one of the most consistent players in the team (especially through a very difficult season). like errbody be worshipping the ground he walks on and lauding him as the club savior. he tries not to let it get his head but it did a little bit. and then, one game, he went down with a torn ACL and it put him out for a while, and when he does get back on the pitch, he wasn’t the same and he was terrified that he would never be. he’d be loaned out somewhere to get some playing time, and i quite like the idea of him playing in germany… i somehow feel like he would fit there (maybe werder bremen? or köln?). and it pissed him off to get sent to germany and having to earn his spot back in the starting squad, but it humbled him and made him work even harder in the end.
meanwhile, six years ago, reader is on a whole shift of her own. she released an album that shows she’s not a kid anymore and SHE FUCKS!!! think “reputation” but with a hint of renee rapp’s theater girlie pop 🤭 I won’t give too much away, but she was in a rebellious phase where she’s going out with some questionable men and taking up, well, questionable vices 👀
so, long story short, they’re both bummed they didn’t meet each other years sooner, but also grateful bc they would’ve tried to kill each other then 😜 lollll
Masters of Puppets: Play takes a peak behind often sordid curtain of pro wrestling
One of Kurt Fuller’s first acting jobs was as one of the leads in the 1989 film, “No Holds Barred,” Hulk Hogan’s acting debut.
“I played sort of a Ted Turner, Vince McMahon, so I worked with those guys and saw a lot of interactions,” Fuller said. “So when I read this, it completely rang true to me. I just recognized so much about it.”
Fuller, who more recently was in the CBS series “Evil,” read Laurence Davis’ play, “Master of Puppets” and he quickly agreed to join a cast of well-known actors working with director James Roday Rodriguez to stage the world premier of this dark comedy/satire on the world of pro wrestling. The play opens on Thursday at runs through June 11 at the Legacy Theater in Branford.
“The fact it was about the world of wrestling, which I always have found very interesting and I think it’s underappreciated, because it’s entertainment,” Fuller said. “Believe me, the pain is real.”
This work of fiction, which contains mature language adult situations, such as violence and drug use, is not suitable for young audiences. It brings to life a behind-the-scenes drama of a successful wrestling operation, showing its age and struggling to stay relevant in the modern media world, and the relationships therein.
Fuller plays Victor Kragston, the wrestling ringmaster.
“I’m basing the character on just about every flawed, powerful person there is,” Fuller said. “I could never play Vince McMahon. Who could play Vince McMahon? No one. Only Vince.”
Amanda Detmer, who you’d recognize, as many around Branford’s Stony Creek area already have, from the Fox series “Empire,” plays Delia Kragston, wife of the wrestling mogul who happens to be running for major political office. That may sound a little familiar around here.
“It is a parallel, let’s say, to that (Linda McMahon, Vince’s wife who unsuccessfully ran twice for the U.S. Senate),” Detmer said. “This is a group of people I’ve worked with before; Kurt and I have played husband and wife before. I’ve seen limited wrestling, I’ve never been really into it, which kind of works for this because (the character) is really against all the violence. I certainly have a hard time watching people even pretend to fight, and wrestling isn’t as pretend as we’d like to believe.”
Michael Hogan (Fox series, “The Resident”) plays Rainey Dayes, the one-time marquee wrestler who is now the executive’s sidekick, and Dana Ashbook (Showtime’s “Twin Peaks”) plays Ted Blasendale, a TV executive putting pressure on Kragston and Dayes to produce something fresh for modern audiences before offering a new contract.
“It’s a slice of life,” Ashbrook said. “It’s an interesting slice of life and it’s funny and it has a lot of different components to it about the wrestling world. … The appeal of (wrestling) is the soap opera aspect to it, it’s an ongoing narrative.”
Hogan used to follow World Class Championship Wrestling, and is using bits and pieces from several of its wrestlers to create his character.
“It gets down to the sell of the punch,” Hogan said. “I always love watching guys lay out after a big hit. That stuff to me has always been more interesting. For some it’s the promos and the good looks of the people involved, but for me it’s always been the conveyance of pain, one guy to another guy, and how over-the-top ridiculous it is. I got into a lot of stage comedy because I love selling the blow a lot.”
The tiny Legacy Theater first opened in 1903 as a silent movie house and, through its long history, has staged plays by Orson Welles’ Mercury Theater Company productions in the 1930s and is best known for a past life as the Stony Creek Puppet House. It was refurbished in 2021.
Safe to say it has never been the stage for a play quite like thfis. As Fuller said, in wrestling, you don’t just imagine hitting your nemesis with a two-by-four, you get to see it happen.
“There is a wonderful line in the play,” Detmer said, “that says, ‘Wrestling, we put smiles on people’s faces,’ and the reasoning is that we provide a place where people can imagine themselves as the wrestlers. In the play, we say, ‘We don’t just fight for you, we sprinkle the magic dust that provides the force that fights as you.”

But I really can't remember when

How the hell did we lose sight of us again?
Sobbin' with your head in your hands

Carnations you had thought were roses, that's us
I feel you no matter what
The rubies that I gave up
“Maroon” Taylor Swift
10. Mike / Kevin (Power Rangers Samurai)
But I miss screaming and fighting and kissing in the rain
And it's 2 a.m. and I'm cursing your name
So in love that you act insane
And that's the way I loved you
Breaking down and coming undone
It's a roller coaster kind of rush
And I never knew I could feel that much
And that's the way I loved you

British Guitarist SOPHIE LLOYD Teams Up With HALESTORM's LZZY HALE On 'Imposter Syndrome' Single
British guitarist Sophie Lloyd has released her latest single, "Imposter Syndrome", a collaboration with HALESTORM frontwoman Lzzy Hale. The song is the title track of Sophie's upcoming full-length album, which will arrive on November 10. Other guests set to appear on the CD include STEEL PANTHER's Michael Starr, ATREYU's Brandon Saller, TRIVIUM's Matt Heafy, Canadian singer Lauren Babic and BLACK STONE CHERRY's Chris Robertson.
The "Imposter Syndrome" music video is expected to make its online debut on Friday, October 6.
The 27-year-old Lloyd told Guitar World about the LP: "I always said this album was going to be me paying homage to my 15-year-old self. This is an album I wrote for that girl.
"I'm so fortunate to work with all of the amazing singers on the record, and I can honestly say I've been listening to them for years.
"I can't tell you how gratifying it's been — I'd write the songs, and then we'd send them off and hear back from the singers. They were, like, 'Yeah, I really dig this. I'm up for it.' It's all turned out better than I could have imagined."
Regarding the album title, Sophie said: "Well, the imposter syndrome is a thing. It's a phenomenon a lot of people experience in any field; not just music, but you basically feel like you're an imposter. You don't deserve to be where you are, and at any moment people will uncover you for what you are. I feel like I've broken out of that now. I proved to myself, like, 'Yeah, you're here for a reason. You're good enough.'"
Asked if she is thinking of forming a band with one dedicated singer, Sophie said: "That's what we're trying to think about: 'How do we tour this?' We've got a few ideas. We're not sure whether we want to get a full-time vocalist — well, maybe. I guess it's just about finding a vocalist that fits you and inspires you. We might try something where we have big screens and we get vocalists to record a performance. The violinist Lindsey Stirling does that. Visually, it's pretty amazing.”
"Imposter Syndrome" track listing:
01. Do Or Die (feat. Nathan James)
02. Pressure (feat. Brandon Saller)
03. Imposter Syndrome (feat. Lzzy Hale)
04. Let It Hurt (feat. Chris Robertson)

06. Fall Of Man (feat. Matthew K. Heafy)
07. Lost (feat. Cole Rolland)
08. Hanging On (feat. Lauren Babic)
09. Avalanche (feat. Trevor McNevan)
10. Won't You Come (feat. Marisa Rodriguez)
