Seriously, king solomon- or by his native name "Sh'lomo"- a hebrew jewish king of a jewish kingdoms ruling over the kingdom of israel is portrayed in the arabian nights, in an arabic stories with arabic ornaments and clothes and cultural signs. The worldwide claim over jewish characters(people) and stories is just so frustrating. Its ok that he is written in the christian bible and the quran but people and companies that adapt these characters and stories need to do it right and acknowledge the JEWISH part and culture in a JEWISH king, king solomon physically CAN'T have muslim-arabic culture bc it didn't exist yet nor did it was in ancient israel

I’m really tired of seeing fellow aspecs frame allosexual alloromantic people as nonsensical, and aspec people as the logical and reasonable ones. Like, beyond a joke, beyond a little ribbing. I mean posts about how aspec experiences with attraction just “make more sense” than the “wacky” allo experience.

I think this is different than “are the straights OK” sort of jokes, because dunking on straight people for harmful heteronormative behavior is different from dunking on allo people for the way they inherently experience attraction.

It’s understandable to commiserate with other aspecs over how confusing allo attraction is to you. But bashing the way they experience attraction in general is not the same thing.

Also, the aspec is a spectrum. There are plenty of allosexual/alloromantic aspecs out there. Stop throwing them under the bus by excluding them from your definition of the “universal aspec experience.”

Like yes there was a certain charm to older drag race where queens would just wear what they had and could get.

However I don't like the implication that drag race nowadays is somehow devoid of styling, storytelling, resourcefulness and craftsmanship.

I think the response to the post where I took Poppy to the vivariums really hammers the point of how the game failed on the social side of things for a franchise that relies on the characters developing bonds.

The lack of interactions after you've completed their questlines is just sad. And I don't mean necessarily adding new quests in the end game but also just the absence of a pretense of a friendship. It could have been just fluff, but it'd be fluff that lets the player emotionally invest in the characters.

Now, there's also the issue of the scrapped companion feature and what taking this out of the game meant, but even within that scope, NPCs lack emotion outside of the cutscenes and it's such a shame. Players are hungry for depth and emotional mirroring, especially in a single player game.

I have been rapidly gaining new and newer food icks can someone honest to God help??

Like I'll be eating my meal just fine and then think what if I didn't cook the chicken all the way? Even though I know I did. And then I'll want to throw up. And then on top of that I have been unable to eat full meals if the flavor is too consistent? I can have a few bites but then get overwhelmed by the flavor and either need a break for a different flavor or sometimes just have to be done eating. And it's not even about needing dull food like I got overwhelmed by the cream cheese on a plain bagel cause the flavor lasted too long

It's okay nonny, I'm sorry his actions have upset you 😔 i don't want to speak on the war too much (besides denouncing it completely) because I'm not Ukrainian, and I don't think it's right for me to say whether someone is "using" it for other goals or not, in a muddled situation like this. But I think reblogging gore or death untagged is inappropriate, both morally and even in a business sense (it you're assuming that a patreon early access sims blog is a business, which is pretty much is at this point). Especially marketed towards children.

On the note of early access and their cc: if someone is pumping out a new piece of cc every day regularly, especially tiny mesh edits, that's a sign that it probably didn't take very long to create. That choice of model is much more transparent/obvious than what others do- aka, make five or six small edits and put them into a pack under early access instead. It implies more effort and gives more of a sense of "hype", though giving out cc every day on the other hand encourages more engagement and keeps you in the public eye/perspective. Both of these to me though, are highly disingenuous.

It's a sign of the nickel and diming that has been inspired by the EA model and taken over the custom content community. Low quality and low effort content, put behind nice editing and consistent aesthetic, for the sole purpose of making money. I'm not even talking about exclusive content, though many early access creators seem to be making a fast slide into that category as well. I mean smaller things that add up: putting "free" download options behind dangerous link shorteners or simsdom/simsfinds/tsr, tiny low effort mesh edits, putting small edits into packs to make them look more impressive than they are, early access recolors, early access conversions from other games, early access conversions between ages, early access of your own content just switched to another frame to get another 3 weeks out of one piece of cc, paywalling time-sensitive content like pride or holiday cc for extra long to pressure people to pay while it's still relevant, the list goes on. The greed plaguing this community in both small and large ways is unbelievable and saddening. And I have to emphasize that it isn't just patreon exclusive creators anymore. It's everywhere.

When patreon first started making waves in this community, I pledged to people and felt excited, because I felt like I was helping support friends do what they loved. The people I pledged to were people I interacted with and I liked doing it. The dollar or two didn't matter to me, even though I was still a broke student at the time, I saw people being happy and creative. Now, that sense is gone. I have the money to pledge to people, but I don't. There's no one here i want to give my money to, no one that I trust after being burned by some creators I thought were trustworthy. The sense of community is gone. Most of the people making money now are here for just that, to make money. And while they're free to do that, I'm just not interested in it or them. It's depressing, nonny, and many times I feel like wanting to go off on people too. But it doesn't matter to them sadly.
