This is…kind of hard to say LOL. The most *reliable* way is to be a creator who makes work I like in a fandom I am a part of, but how “fast” that process is might depend on a person’s skill set and comfort level with sharing their work. Alternatively, leaving friendly and supportive responses on my posts / commenting on my work for long enough will often result in me following someone eventually. So I guess whichever of those a person can do more quickly?

🧩 ⇢ what will make you click away from a fanfiction immediately?

Any sort of plot-line involving infidelity is a big one, though fortunately that one is often tagged. Characterizing my favs in a way I find completely unrecognizable is another immediate click away for me. I’m also easily squicked by some pairings and will hop ship if they feature even just very minorly in a fic. There are a lot of other things that will *usually* cause me to click away from a fic, but those three are some of the only ones I can think of where I just about always will.

15: Was there anything you had to research for this fic? Do you usually do a lot of research?

I always do at least some research for pretty much every fic I write, so this was no different. Mostly just confirming assumptions or small facts. I remember being a bit iffy on whether a rich person haven like Monaco would have emergency response workers walking around in high visibility vests at one point, because I was like... this feels weird. High vis and Monaco do not seem to go together lmaooooooo. I also had to double check how old Naomi Schiff is because on the one hand I knew she's a lot younger than me, on the other I had to pause because I feel like she's been around forever, even though it was a throwaway line.

24: Did you write every scene in order? What was the first scene you wrote, and what was the last?

I think I wrote a few scenes out of order, specifically if I got stuck on something and just needed to move on, but I was pretty chronological with this fic. It was mostly stream of consciousness from start to finish, hands flying over the keyboard, racing to the chequered flag stuff. The first scene I wrote was the first scene, and the last was the last. IIRC, anyway. When you write 40k in a month things kind of blur together

20: What is something you wish more people noticed about this fic?

That I wrote it at all! I just went and had a look to refresh my memory and it has the fewest hits of any of my Star Wars fics, barring one very random rarepare five sentence ficlet 😂
