There’s this stereotype that shiny pokemon are fussy and pampered and generally weaker bc they’re rather babied and adored. And while I understand where that assumption comes from (I’ve seen how some of you guys treat your shinies don’t even lie). I feel like people forget why most shinies are so incredibly rare.

Like, depending on their coloration it wildly decreases their survival rate in the wild. There’s gonna be a difference in living as a blue Vaporeon or a bright pink one, y’know? Makes them struggle to blend in with their environments which, depending on if they’re carnivorous, can make hunting harder, sometimes the pokemon gets rejected from their packs/herds/flocks, they can struggle to get a mate, and makes them an easy target for predators.

So like when you see a shiny in the wild you gotta just stand back and bask in the rarity of it not just for being rare genetically, but the sheer amount of willpower and strength (or luck) that its had to make it this far. That’s pretty badass.

#this isn’t like a universal experience for wild shinies though. we all know some of them hardly sport a difference #every day i’m afraid i’ve run into a shiny somewhere and just let it get away bc it was only a slight tone change lmao #but the first shiny i ever ran into in the wild was a shiny Drowsee and let me say #that thing was FIERCE #never met an aggressive Drowsee before kinda scared me tbh #ended up trading him away but he was a toughy #its not easy being pink #i will say though. breeder sourced shinies are pretty pampered #isn’t that a funny dichotomy though? #in the wild life can be so hard for them. but to us humans we love and adore their differences #pokeblogging #pkmn irl #pkmn posting #pokemon blogging #pokemon irl #unreality

Well, I’m still glad that Gojo was always a character who was growing and learning at least. He’s literally one of my favorite characters of all time now. Like, he’s never been as perfect as how the fans would make him out to be despite canonically being viewed as an absolute nuisance to everyone around him (I don’t think his peers necessarily hate him but a lot of them probably hate to see him coming and the ones who’ve dealt with him long enough to consider him a friend, tolerate him and groan whenever he opens his mouth, too 😭… out of love. He’s extremely childish so there is only sm the other adults around him can take and to an extent, his students. I think the only characters in canon who adore him and their eye’s sparkle whenever he’s around, and being a silly teacher was Yuuji and Miwa (she asked him for his autograph (he’s the most famous sorcerer in the jjk world) and when she was alone, she did a little dance in the empty hallway 🥺…) from what we’ve seen even though the others still care about him, too. They just find him rather annoying, which he most definitely is. And he does it on purpose. He plays too much.)
