"Throughout his previous sexual interactions, Aziraphale had constantly sensed that he was taking up too much space, and that his partners, even if they appeared to behave neutrally to the thick sturdiness and the soft roundness of his figure, wished there was a little less of him to handle. As the pads of Crowley's fingers made possessive divots into the flesh of Aziraphale's thigh, it only further dawned on Aziraphale that Crowley relished the exact amount of him that existed at the present time." - I'm Beginning to See the Light, Chapter 3
for Sam (aka @ineffabildaddy) from @voluptatiscausa and I, because we love you! Thank you for forever feeding us with deeply transgender and vividly pornographic treats!
>>Full NSFW 18+ version on AO3 <<
This fic not only changed my life in the best way because it is how I was introduced to my bestie, but also it rearranged my brain chemistry in how I saw my body and how I felt I could be and deserved to be loved. The way intimacy and desire and respect are handled in this story is everything to me, and of course it is just searingly, eye-wateringly hot. It is a must-read! I was SO happy when Vol approached me with a request for a gift work for it!

Good Omens Fic Rec: I'm Beginning to See the Light
There was Crowley - the paragon of cool, the overlord of apathy, breezing easily through each and every one of their exchanges and giving no fucks while doing so; then there was the anachronistic, cloying Aziraphale, trying and failing not to live life like a Thomas Hardy protagonist, and giving many fucks indeed. Or: Aziraphale has quite the pash on his colleague Crowley, who seems resolutely disinterested in him. As their annual Christmas party progresses, it appears that Crowley may not be as disinterested as Aziraphale first thought.
Length: 15,991 words

*Minor Spoilers* Oh hello, did you want some body worship and honestly the best trans sex I've ever read?
This fic, let's be real, is a PWP. Yeah it flirts with a plot and backstory for these two work colleagues, but it is just the backdrop for their gorgeous bedroom activities. Crowley straight up worships Aziraphale here. Every bit of Aziraphale's body that he's ever felt shame for is touched, and kissed, and loved. It's really emotional, the idea that your "flaws" will be seen as praiseworthy felt so safe and healing to me. Every scar, stretch mark, and ounce of fat is paid attention to and loved. Aziraphale being trans is everything and nothing. It's both just a body, and a body that was created and worthy of honor. Crowley is the ultimate service top here, and him freely using pet names made me weak. Like why you guys gotta write the dirtiest smut that makes me want to cry?? I didn't ask for all these feelings in my porn!
Very explicit after dark read, it's very tactile and visually rich. It's definitely one that you will feel. I really loved this. It's so healing and comforting. It shows us that trans sexuality is beautiful, desirable, and wanted. Something to be praised and cherished.

P.S. Here's a pair of quotes that I can't stop thinking about
"Aziraphale said the word ‘never’ perhaps more than any other - most often to himself. The idea that certain things would never happen was both an icy blade in the gut and a snug compression bandage simultaneously."
and "His most precious and ached-for 'never' was to have this; this concrete knowledge that he was desired, that he was cared for, that he was seen. It was simply too good to be true that it was the man of his dreams who had finally promised to remove this file from his 'never' folder and tear it into infinitesimal pieces."
someone put me down already

for the ask game: 2, 5, 8, 22!!!
Hi friend! Thanks for the ask!
2. Do you have any merch?
My aunt bought me Aziraphale's winged mug when she heard I was obsessed with Good Omens! I don't drink out of it all the time (cause it's a pain to wash), but it's the best way to drink hot chocolate :)
5. What is you favorite good omens one-shot?
A fun fact about me is I love stories that deal with intense feelings of guilt and the way other characters interact with that (and hopefully make it better). So if you wanna deal with some delicious guilt complexes, Be a Friend to Your Friend by WitherAndDecay is excellent!
A happier (and smuttier) option is Unexpected, But Long-Awaited by KitCat_Italica! It's a beautiful story of Aziraphale and Crowley's first time together, complete with laughter and a tickle fight!
8. Do you prefer season one or season two and why?
Season one will always have a special place in my heart because I first watched it over lockdown and completely obsessed over the ineffable husbands (back when I thought I was straight and wasn't on Tumblr). It was just such a source of comfort for me during a terrible time, and it had the happy ending I so desperately needed
Season two is delightful, but my goodness does it give me anxiety! Embarrassingly, I have really struggled to watch it all the way through and have had to resort to chunks at a time. I'm sure I'll grow to love it just as much, but something about the interpersonal conflict just makes it way more stressful for me than the literal end of the world in season one
22. What's your favourite Crowley hairstyle through the ages?
Oh absolutely the chin length with the little bun! It's a classic for a reason! (Although any time Crowley presents as a woman my brain fries a little bit)

for tmi tuesday, i've nicked these from the fandom questions thing:
27. What do you hate more: Coming up with titles or writing summaries?
32. Do you listen to music when you write or does music inspire you? If so, which band or genre of music does it for you?
39. What is you greatest strength as a writer?
sorry if u've answered any of them already!!!
Sorry I fell asleep before seeing this one, lol XD So happy to answer!!
27. Summaries! Titles are hard too but summaries plague me... I have no idea how to balance the right amount info while also making it intriguing. I often default to quotes :P
32. I actually rarely do. I know I'm probably an outlier there but music with words is too distracting and I always forget about things like film scores XD
39. I like to think its dialogue. I think I'm a very effective mimic when it comes to speech patterns and colloquialisms. I can usually "hear" the conversations in my head.

The latest chapter of The Language of Forgiveness is up!
Chapter 22 Angel to Angel--Aziraphale and Muriel have a chat which alters how they see themselves.
After the events of S2E6, Aziraphale and Crowley are reunited and finally given the chance to form their own side between Heaven and Hell, to restore balance among the planes of existence. But forces in Heaven still want to exploit their unique ability for big miracles. Will Aziraphale and Crowley be able to stop the source of corruption in Heaven? More importantly, can the pair ever learn to talk honestly about their feelings? Can a demon who views himself as unforgiveable ever learn to forgive?

From Eden - a Good Omens poem
I was reading pride and prejudice and came to a particularly exciting bit and had to take a break, so here's another blackout poem :)) also a lil hozier reference for you all :)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Crawly stared at the angel.
His hands looked so cold,
And he thought
"If you come back to me,
I'm not sure
I can do the right thing
and look away."
-
We're still at the very beginning of the book, im thinking of making a kinda story about them with the blackout poems from the book in chronological order idk if this makes sense hahah but like the further along i am in the book the further the story progresses does this make any sense??
Reblogs and comments are always appreciated!💙

I've said it before, but I'm feeling it strongly today and it bears repeating...
All of you artists and authors who lovingly depict Aziraphale's body, with its rolls and curves and softness and strength? When you show Crowley not just accepting it but loving it with passion and reverence and care and worship? Like, it's not just Aziraphale's soul that's worthy of that kind of love, but his actual flesh, the part of him that interacts with the physical, sensual world around him? When you make your audience see that body as beautiful?
It makes me feel so many things. So, so many. Like, maybe my body is worthy of that, too. Like, maybe I deserve a lover who is as enraptured with my flesh as I am with theirs. Like, maybe I shouldn't accept less than that. And like, maybe if no one else can love me that way, I can and I should.
Tagging those of you who have made me cry (in a good way) about this today alone (though there are so many more out there)... @voluptatiscausa @ineffabildaddy @chernozemm @lilpy @omens-for-ophelia

All The Lights That Light The Way by FeralTuxedo (E, 8k) On the run from a disastrous work Christmas party, Anthony Crowley encounters an angel singing in the streets of Soho.
Communicatio in Sacris by voluptatiscausa (E, 10k) “Bless me Father, for I have sinned. It has been one year since my last confession. These are my sins.” There’s a slight pause. “Gosh. Give me a moment. I knew I should have made up a list, this happens every year. Forget my own head next. Ah, yes. Hmm. Now you may want to get comfortable.”   Communicatio in sacris: communion in sacred things. Also translated as 'worship in common'.
Entailed by FeralTuxedo (E, 18k) Anthony Crowley, a single gentleman of seven-and-forty and guardian to two unmarried sisters, is awaiting the arrival of the young clergyman who is set to inherit his estate. A marriage between him and one of the Miss Crowleys would be advantageous for both. But Mr Fell has other plans.
in your own time by ineffabildaddy (E, 33k) Aziraphale and Crowley grew up together as next-door neighbours on Hogback Lane, classmates at the local Catholic school, and inseparable best friends. By the age of eighteen, both were hopelessly in love with the other, despite the knowledge that they were doomed to live apart, as Crowley aimed to pursue university study in London and Aziraphale committed himself to remaining in Tadfield, dedicating his life to the Church. After almost twenty years spent away from his hometown, renowned botanist Crowley decides to come and visit Tadfield again at a moment's notice; the purpose of his visit is to speak at a Careers Day for the school he and Aziraphale, now a beloved priest and a frequent helper at the school, attended. The twenty-four hours that follow will change both of their lives for ever.
The Sometimes Wife by AgentStannerShipper (E, 74k) It is a truth universally acknowledged that older brothers are the worst. As the youngest of three children, Parson Aziraphale Fell has been given an ultimatum: find a wife, or lose the family's support. The only problem? Aziraphale has never looked at a woman that way in his life. His attention has instead been captured by the family gardener, a beautiful young man who holds Aziraphale's heart in his hands. But when a mysterious newcomer arrives in the village, Aziraphale finds himself falling - quite unexpectedly - for her as well. Aziraphale knows he will have to choose. After all, it's not as if he can have both…can he?

Good Omens Fic Rec: take me as your wife
You reached for my glass to pour me some wine, and in doing so, brushed my hand for a half-second with your ring finger. Only, it was not the back of my palm that you brushed, but my sloping knuckles; this is when I knew that it was the cut of my jaw you really wanted to touch, that you had chosen to indicate you wanted it with the finger used by many to display the glinting vow of marriage. You poured, and I watched, and the tranquil waters of your eyes stilled their rippling before me, and you were swiftly and silently taking me as your wife. At long last and yet far too soon, only for tonight and yet once and for all, in a century which was at once so impatiently modern and so soothingly traditional. Or: In the 1750s, Crowley stumbles upon Aziraphale at a country inn, away from the hustle and bustle and the prying eyes of London town. The most romantic of afternoons ensues.

*Minor Spoilers* So I knew Sam was writing a fic for my birthday, but I didn't expect to end up sobbing once I had read it. I couldn't compose myself for an embarrassingly long time afterward. I am so touched and grateful for this new friendship, and I felt a little overwhelmed by the love and quality of this piece.
Please, before you read this, set the stage with the recording I prompted for this fic. It's a piece by Jean-Jacques Rousseau, read by Michael Sheen, reminiscing about a past meeting. Sam took this prompt and soared. It perfectly captures the atmosphere, the longing, the desire, and the intimacy of the reading.
We join Crowley as she (can be read as either male or female presenting Crowley, but I'll use she/her pronouns here) recounts a night spent at an inn with Aziraphale. To me, it feels as though I am reading a letter or diary entry by Crowley, as she speaks directly to Aziraphale, telling him her thoughts and desires. Her longing is so intense that she imagines herself as part of every morsel he consumes, envisioning it’s her body he’s touching, not merely the napkins; it's her thighs he’s parting, not just a soft loaf of bread. Crowley (like with the ox ribs) finds her desire in watching Aziraphale’s indulgent consumption, her need for release growing unbearable and distracting. But this is not just Crowley being turned on by innocent actions. She is reacting to Aziraphale’s intentional signals. It is an unspoken conversation, a promise of what’s to come. He tells her with the barest of touches, and slightest subtext, that she is his. Finally, when she assumes that the night will soon be over, she is instead handed a key. "A key to a room downstairs." Barriers and doors unlocked, they will consummate their unspoken vow to each other. Their need and devotion temporarily greater than the threat of Heaven, Hell, or God herself.
This story is not only erotic but gorgeous. One of my favorite qualities of Sam's writing is how he gives us languorous poetry then snaps back into unabashed smut, like a kiss that suddenly bites. This is vivid imagery and prose, yet still has a dreamy haze to it. Like a romanticized version of Crowley's memory. A friend described it to me as a hot summer’s night, the smell of grass and rain, a restless yearning. It’s a memory that craves. Longing for the moment they will reunite. And of course they will, they’ll always belong to one other. I love this story so much. And sure, I may be very biased because I love Sam. But I truly and genuinely believe in this story. And because it's my birthday fic you all should read this. Birthday girl rules sorry. Thank you Sam, you are such a talented writer, and a wonderful person. I'm so honored to receive this gift.
