The Consecrated Line
Neil's favorite line from Good Omens is the invisible and unbreakable one that joins Crowley and Aziraphale.
There is a line that binds me to you
invisible and unbreakable
In days our paths lead you out of my reach
I know it is present anchored in the depths of my heart
drawing us always together
On the night we stood in the
consecrated rubble of strife
so gently did you pluck that line
as our hands brushed for too brief a moment
I could not quiet the vibrations which began
resonating through me
expanding infinitely like those of the universe itself
They hum through my mind like celestial harmonies
building to a crescendo in the recitation of
a sacred memory from before the beginning
My soul thrums resolutely as it struggles against
both the natural and the divine to join with yours
It knows the way
It follows the line
Though unseen as the breeze I can feel it
as real as I feel the echo of your lips pressed to mine
For all its straining and knotting
as we dance so carefully around one another
I harbor us to fear for I know our line is indestructible
Impervious to both time and the fickle tides of fate

From Eden - a Good Omens poem
I was reading pride and prejudice and came to a particularly exciting bit and had to take a break, so here's another blackout poem :)) also a lil hozier reference for you all :)
Crawly stared at the angel.
His hands looked so cold,
And he thought
"If you come back to me,
I'm not sure
I can do the right thing
and look away."
-
We're still at the very beginning of the book, im thinking of making a kinda story about them with the blackout poems from the book in chronological order idk if this makes sense hahah but like the further along i am in the book the further the story progresses does this make any sense??
Reblogs and comments are always appreciated!💙

Honestly @chernozemm 's art has got me clawing at the walls lately (always), and my mind keeps coming back to this post specifically.
So I wrote a lil poem inspired by it and the ox rib scene in general because, I mean, come on.
----- Filthy poem under the cut! Beware! -----

So I thought I’d organize my blog before I start posting too much (more than I already am lol) and end up getting lost on my own mess.
Please feel free to ask any questions and make requests (one shots, incorrect quotes, poems…) or suggestions. I love writing and will gladly take them.
For now this is mainly a Good Omens blog but let’s see where Tumblr takes us.
Now don’t mind me, I’ll just leave this awfully long post here. Scroll down all the way if you want. You might find something you like 🙃

ASMI I want to reference your fandom poem thing in my English assignment first of all can I get your permission and second can you find it for me because I can’t. THANK YOU
HELLO ANON MAGGOT! Yes of course you can, but uh I'm not actually sure which fandom poem you mean? (how is this my life how do I have multiple)
Poem about Crowley's Fall
Eleimon Aegovoskos (Crowley's Hymn)
Angel
Poem from Crowley to Aziraphale
These took way too long to find it's time to organise my blog isn't it. Hey maggots I'm slowly dragging myself out of the haze that was the final fifteen (I even managed to shower and see sunlight today!), it may take me a while to reply to all the asks in my inbox because I want to do it properly, as well as my DMs, so please be patient with your broken mascot.

A Good Omens Poem
[Excerpt]
Your head rests
on my thigh.
I want to run
my fingers through
your crimson hair
but first,
indulge me, dear.
I want to feed you
Easter yellow
petit fours,
then a bite of
chocolate raspberry cake.
I close my eyes
as you lick my fingers clean.
I feel you look up
at the clear blue sky.
You’ve told me
that the sky isn’t blue,
exactly. It’s all the colors,
but blue light waves
are shorter
so we see them
scattered everywhere.
Still, it’s pretty
and it’s peaceful.
That’s why I wear it
so close to me.
It reminds me
of the luminous canopy
that encircled us
after the first rain.
Rating: Mature
Words: 1,023
Summary: Aziraphale and Crowley enjoy their perfect blue-sky day, after weathering the storms.
Written for @sugareey-makes-stuff for the Good Omens Song & Poetry Exchange (@gospexchange). Inspired by the song “Mr. Blue Sky” by Electric Light Orchestra.

In the Beginning - a Good Omens poem
I had this idea to make a blackout poem out of a page of Good Omens for a while now so here it is :) (i included the full page too so you can see what page it's from)
It was nice.
But then
Head first, you went down.
An angel, a serpent.
I can't see evil in you.

Reblogs and comments are always appreciated💙

I was struggling with a bit of the character motivations in my current GO fic WIP, and in between banging my head against the wall and pacing, I wrote these twin poems to sort some of it out. I am obsessed with understanding how Crowley and Aziraphale view their own relationship and themselves within it and within the structure of Heaven/Hell.
So enjoy some romantic/lovesick brain dump while I keep working on this godforsaken fic.
**********************************************
Also these were literally projectile word vomited onto the page so excuse any typos and whatnot.

Y’ALL
@notalostcausejustyet wrote “Worthiness,” a gorgeous poem inspired by my fic Confiteor!
I think perhaps
It was always this
A hand reaching out
Offering grace
Seeking benediction…
Read the rest of the gorgeous poem on AO3 here
I am so excited and overcome and flattered about this, I cannot, I am just. Such an enormous compliment. Such a beautiful poem.
(FYI, I quoted a Tumblr post by @notalostcausejustyet as the ending note to “Confiteor”, because her words were so perfect and beautiful and healing. So it’s all connected.)

I know the taste of sand
The grind under my teeth
The rash in my throat
I want to know the taste of your lips
The crisp of their skin

heres a few of the good omens poems I wrote... ik they aren't the best but in my defense it was 3 am
a star falls, twisting and shifting, tears streaking down a ash covered face
wings catching fire, soot and feathers just out of grasp, white shifting to gray to black
a halo suspended, gold light dimming, cracks appearing
hands clasped, words hanging in empty air, questions asked to no one
and the sky fades, her creations disappearing, pupils turning to slits and brown shifts to yellow
a creator who dared to question, cast out along those who rebelled
-------------------------------------------------------
for I am icarus and you are my sun
you simply exist and how you hurt me
but I am no better for I keep flying closer
and I laugh as I fall for I know I would do it again
For I am icarus and you are the sun
You burn bright and blinding and oh how it hurts
but still I fly higher and higher
and as I fall, feather turning to ash before my eyes, I laugh for I know I would do it until the end
fall again and again if only to fall into you
but the sun goes away
night falls and the birds don't sing
the stars appear, a pitiful imitation of your brilliance, and I long for your light
you will rise again and I will fly and maybe then I will reach your embrace
and when we collide, I will bear the flames to feel your touch once again
you are my sun and together we will watch the world
