I regularly rewatch videos from the Steve Saga and related series. It’s something I do to keep making fan-content for the Steve Saga, like incorrect quotes, posts for this blog, AUs, and fanart. Plus, I love rewatching this series. Despite the odd pacing and story decisions in the series, I keep coming back to it for its chaotic character dynamics, chill episodes, and background noise. I thought I would take you guys with me as I rewatch the debut episode of Hypno Steve in Steve Saga Origins.

fyi, this reaction post is going to be short. I’m just going to record thoughts that I had that I didn’t have from my first watch.

Dang, I forgot how candy-looking Blue Steves looked in Steve Saga. I’m really glad RQ made the Blue Steve’s skin more varied like the Green Steve’s skin, and not like a solid piece of candy.

Honestly, props to Hypno Steve for being a good actor. He made Blue Steve say that Dark Steve is chill. It’s impressive and surprising that Hypno Steve made someone praise his despised creator without losing it.

I think things would be so much different if Hypno Steve was introduced in 2021 instead of 2019. Can you imagine what would happen if Hypno Steve was first introduced in 2021, the cultural peak of Among Us?

With his one eye and the fact that he can make himself look like Blue Steve, the comments would have been FILLED with people comparing Hypno to Among Us imposters, instead of comments screaming at Hypno. I wonder if the Among Us comparisons would have been prevalent enough to prevent Hypno from gaining a strong fanbase if he was introduced in 2021.

This is just random “what ifs” that don’t mean anything. But I can’t help but be fascinating by the timing of things and how small changes can lead to big effects.
