Summary : being a pirate,may seem like an easy job. But after fighting marines and looking after your crewmates,you cant help but to feel exhausted.

Peeling the bloody shirt off of your body and throwing it on the wooden floor of the ship,you sit heavily on your bed and heave a heavy sigh; today was exhausting.

It started out like any other day;with you waking up to your crewmates loud banter and getting dressed as you made your way over to the kitchen to have a simple breakfast. Soon,a small land was found,and it was time for reloading the stuff you needed to sail off again.

Helping everyone was as always,a challenge. As you tried to stop your crewmates from making any mess,and at the same time remembering every single item on the list. And simply putting them in the storage had took all your afternoon rest. And if that wasnt enough,everyone on the ship had agreed to go out and drink because it's been a while since you had hit the land.

And if your day wasnt exhausting enough,all hell broke loose as you stepped inside the bar.

Everything was good for the first thirty minutes. That is,until a group of young marines had barged in; seemingly have heard from the locals about the pirates luring around.

The fight was ugly.

You take your head in your hands as the images of the fight flashes across your eyes;the sickly smell of blood still lingering in your nose.

Gods above,you were beyond tired. You were ready to crawl under your blanket and never get out,when a gentle knock broke you out of your trace.

You hastily throw a clean shirt on,and slowly open the door only to be greeted by a flash of red.

Shanks,your captain, gives you a small smirk as he takes in your appearance and leans against the door frame.

"comfortable there, princess?"

You give him a confused look before taking a good look at what you're wearing and then your cheeks are burning bright red. You swallow down your embarrassment and fold your arms against your chest with a slight pout.

"your fault for leaving it in my room,Cap."

Shanks lets out a free laugh and raises his single arm up in mock surrounder.

"dont get me wrong. I love to see you in my clothes more than anything."

You hum,a slight comfort taking place in your weary bones as you lean against the door as well.

"more than wine?"

Shanks leans slightly closer,and tucks a strand of hair behind your ear,and you try to look away when he gives you the softest smile.

"more than air itself,my dear."

You lean in his touch shyly and look up at him from under your lashes.

"would you like to come in then, captain?"

Shanks nods and closes the door behind himself.

Its not his first time in your room;after all,its been a while since the two of you started dating. But it still made you slightly awkward having him in your messy room.

A slight tug at your hand and warm fingers interwining with yours,makes you look at the red haired man standing in front of you.

"what're you thinking about,doll?"

And just seeing him there;in the comfort of your own room and under the soft glow of the candles;in his cloths,has you letting out a soft sigh and leaning your forehead against his shoulder.

"I'm just... exhausted,Shanks. Today was alot. Everything is alot."

A strong arm wraps itself around your shoulders and pulls you flush against his chest. You feel Shanks' lips press firmly against the crown of your hair and you close your eyes upon the feeling.

"Take the day off tomorrow. No,take a week off;a month if you need,my dear. It kills me to see you wear yourself thin,and I've been meaning to ask you to take a break. Lets just,rest until you feel better yeah?" You raise you head up and look at him,only to see him smiling softly;his hand caressing your hair, "no need to push yourself. My princess deserves the best."

You blink rapidly;only to get rid of the stray tears stinging your eyes. A small smile tugs at the corner of your lips before you're pulling yourself up on your tiptoes,and pressing your lips to his stubbled cheek.

"i appreciate it,Cap."

A horse chuckle escapes his lips,and before you know it, you're being lead to your bed.

"then how about we start from sleeping this awful night off. What do you say?"

And when you pull him down along with you and let out a relaxed sigh as you lay your head on his chest,a genuine smile finally blooms on your lips.

"sounds just wonderful,my love."

And you let the sound of Shanks' soft breathing and waves,lull you to sleep.

I don't know many artists who are still active or still draw Noritoshi stuff. I mostly get my content from pixiv or pinterest even if it's.... severely rare.... and even then, they've only drawn him once, and that's all but it's something!

I can't believe i even have to mention this one but i had a very interesting situation back when i was active on twitter where ALL of my mutuals thought that this shit was morally okay and i had to block all of them. thats a minor x an adult. i thought we established that freshman x seniors is fucking gross what is WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE. it was... simple enough i wonder why she wants me to document wildlife though.

first i go to the reactor core. i press the on/off switch and it starts reacting. i stay still for a moment. all parameters seem stable. i move on.

i stand outside and it takes a bit of time for my visual sensors to adjust to light..... we were not on earth. i saw vibrant greens complimenting vibrant reds. creatures colored in a vibrant blue ruled the skies while ceatures of many many colors played below.

thats why they wanted to study the planet. im much more disposable than divine organic lives . I am tasked to study gods my masters cant comprehend. a large task i must start now.

i exit the ship. the weather conditions seem to be clear. there were no rainclouds in the distance.

i make my way from the landing site which was a barren hill.

when i approach the forest i see tall tree like organisms on further inspection i see that they too make glucose by carrying out photosynthesis but they reflect much less red light making the plants be in a much more blue in color. on top of the tree was a small dark-maroon scaly 4-limbed creature 2 arms similar to humanoid arms. one arm on its abdomen similar to a crab arm except covered with flesh and having sharp talons-like nails. a fourth arm acting as a prehensile tail. It was surprised when i detected it because on the visible spectrum it would be hard to see but i luckily have UV/Infrared range sensors. i step back as to not make the divine predator think im a harm of any harm to it. it went back to its scanning of surroundings for food. it spots some... it swings from tree to tree with me following from below to document its behavior. it reflexes its abdominal arm to fast for my sensors to detect and grabs an unidentified creature. it eats the meat of the creature from its mouth but is then left with parts of the creature that were not meat but a mixture of solid substances that seemed to be cellulose it cracks open this cellulose-like shell with its teeth giving me the opportunity to see them. it had extremely sharp teeth with could easily damage my hull. it opens two cavities on its shoulders which it puts the shell's broken fragments. storage perhaps or maybe a separate digesting apparatus. more research is needed.

i get a notification. it is time for me to return. i go back to the ship. Beatrix stops me and says "bap-bap-bap, wait you cant go in like that, you are covered in mud" she points a hose at me and sprays me down. after i have dried i enter the ship and start making my way from the top outer surface to the ship and clean everything by night.

there was still a fair bit of light. even in the night so i stood on top of the roof and charged in the dim light seeing the yellow moon with hints of purple and -

i go outside. large storm clouds it will come over the ship in about 10 hours.

i walk toward the forest its such a cool thing that i such a lower being get to live among gods. anyways i enter the forest. i see the animal i saw yesterday. it was tracking something. i go inspect it. it was a small rotund creature with a shell and hard coverings on top of its shoulders . it was the creature that the predator ate yesterday. today i follow it. as i approached the creature ,, it was startled,,, it started running away. it had 4 legs. it runs and i follow. it borrows underground and the predator watches disappointedly. perhaps it considers me to be the part of the pack. it would be mistaken. im just a piece of metal. anyways i follow the prey ,,, it goes to a clearing in the forest and borrows down into the ground. "im sorry i didnt mean to startle you" i say to where it tunneled. i waited the whole day for it to come up again but it didnt. perhaps it didnt want to view something horrific as me. it was night already again so i started to head home and on the way i collected leaves of many different sizes ,shapes and colors.

i approach the ship and i see Beatrix standing there with the hose. she collects the leaves from me and hoses me down. i start cleaning starting from the roof and making my way down.

at the end of the night i go to the roof and see the yellow-purple moon. it looked different slightly ..pink? hmm. i think my sensors are strained because i detect movement up there. i should shut up and charge.

Ah the Satan Regency AU, my beloved. It's actually a concept I've had since before Mermaid Splash but I keep getting sidetracked by other projects.

The basic premise is that MC's parents are gone and their inheritance is tied up until they marry (as always, MC is meant to be gender neutral, though I do realize this was more of an issue for women in the Regency Era. Since this is an AU we can have fun with the "rules"). With a household to run, and their younger brother, Luke, at the age he should be attending boarding school, MC needs to find a solution to their money problems. They enlist the help of their childhood friend, Satan, who has just the idea to help them. Maybe it will be a way to catch two birds with one stone, by ruining his social and academic rival and ensuring his dear friend's future. MC is happy to follow through with the plan, but will Satan be content with the result when all is said and done? It's a little fun, a little angst.

You sighed, it was all you could do.

“Now we’ll just have to find you a suitable match.” He began to run down the list of gentlemen in your circle, “Lord Mammon is automatically disqualified,”

“Mammon frequents gambling halls more than his own home,”

“Noted,” You’d said.

“Admiral Leviathan is trustworthy, if a bit shy,”

You twirled a wildflower between your fingers, “But he’d be out to sea for months out of the year,”

“As his spouse, you’d be permitted to go with him.”

You shook your head. As much as you loved the sea, you couldn't see yourself taking up residence on a ship. Besides, you had a younger brother to watch over and a household to run. “And he’s shy too?”

Satan nodded.

You began plucking the petals from the flower one by one. “Who else is there?”

“There’s Lord Asmodeus,” Satan offered. “You know he adores you.”

“He adores everyone,”

“That he does,” Satan laughed. “With him you’d live comfortably. The dandy that he is, he’ll keep you in only the highest of fashion.”

“That’s true,”

yay i love villain romances!! gonna include villains and villain-lites! my favorites on this list are goodbye my princess and arthdal chronicles for villain main leads and love and redemption, monarch industry, empress ki, extraordinary you, chicago typewriter, and bridal mask/gaksital for villainy second leads!

cdrama: villain is the main lead

the ultimate villain romance for me is goodbye my princess. the male lead is fucking horrendous but compelling and it's a tragedy from start to finish. don't watch if you want healthy relationships, someone changing for the better through the power of love, or a happy ending. do watch if you're in the mood to just get fucked up and see gorgeous costumes and scenery while doing so (also my favorite cdrama ost!). romance of tiger and rose is kind of a romcom parody of this one, too!

the legends is a nice sort of gender flip-- the female lead is basically a hot shit, overpowered demon and the male lead is a gentle guy trying to do bad all on his own because he's full of heart eyes. there's also a secondary antagonist who has a thing for the female lead, so double villainy!

word of honor. i have not finished this one, but one of the male leads def fits this bill!

the rise of phoenixes. not really a villain ML, exactly, but he's very machiavellian and schemey so if you liked the lead in twisted fate of love, you'd DEFINITELY like him (i need to finish this drama!!!)

...till the end of the moon. which i dont think i recommend, but feel compelled to mention. here's the deal: the middle arc, like eps 19-30ish? fucking perfection! the bookends on either side? dont do nearly as much. the end? i dont know her (literally, i didnt bother with the last ep). idk try it out if you're starving for costume villain love trapped in a masochism tango, but....watch some of the other dramas on this list first

cheese in the trap. the male lead is not a great dude. a lot of people dont like this drama, but i love it (aside from a weak last ep)

everyone's just a little bit shitty in bloody heart, to include the male lead

the male lead in little women will have you guessing from start to finish if you're a clown for trusting him or not

who the villain is is kind of a rotating door in the series, but the main male lead in moon lovers: scarlet heart ryeo definitely spends time in anti-hero land

que sera sera and when a man's in love/man in love are older dramas with male leads who are definitely Questionable (the former is described as a bastard in the synopsis and the latter is an ex-gangster trying to go legit but not quite able to shake the gangster tendencies). neither story is a traditional romance, and there's a lot of content warnings to be mindful of (lots of slapping and hitting in the former, cheating in the second [and probably some slapping])

depending on your POV (or the point of the story) the main love interest from empress ki could qualify! and then there's a support character who's a straight up villain that's got a crush

I've had some sun in the last couple of days, actually sat in it and let it perk up my poor wilty soul - so here I am to answer with a little more vim than recently.

Anyway! Let’s see - my fave fics I’ve written and which are still up on AO3…

1. Top of the list has to be The Good Spartan. (ACOd, Alexidas). I’m actually happy with how it turned out (which is rare). It really gave me the chance to explore a whole lot of ideas I'd been percolating for years about the entirety of Odyssey as a work of *cough* historical fiction (still love it, even though it's basically all wrong). Plus, our beloved Brasidas deserves a voice.

2. An Athenian Summer. (ACOd, Alexithenes). This is a pure ship fic. I'd had the idea of these two hooking up sitting on the backburner of my mind for a couple of years when I finally found the energy to write it; and it just flowed outta me real easy. It’s light and a little silly and perhaps overly fluffy for most people, but that's how I roll a lot of the time.

3. Shadow-Twin. (ACOd, no ship.) My most recent fanfic at this point (I think?), and again, giving me the chance to dive into a concept I'd been nursing for a long time when I wrote it - namely, how could Deimos ever become human again? I think it captured a lot of what I feel about all of that - and somewhere deep down I still want to write a follow-up one day.

4. The Turning Tide. (ACOd, Thalexios.) This is the third in a 5 part series of long fics, but of the five it's my fave. There's some scenes in it that I think are pretty much the best fic I've written after the Good Spartan - albeit, it's probably not the best piece of writing overall.

5. The Gods Only Know. (ACV, UbbaxEivor.) This is the second part of a (once) three part series, but I like it best. It's something to do with having felt like I'd 'found' Ubba as a character in writing the first part (Snatched Moments) so I really enjoyed exploring his childhood etc in this part.

finally finished watching this video of the nine realms and its just uh why does this exist oh yeah to get money, like the amount of shit that just makes no sense or pisses off the HTTYD fandom like im just going try to briefly list this mess

major thing thats a blatant insult to fans, the main character tom finds hiccups prosthetic leg which is iconic and a important part of the HTTYD franchise just decides seconds later after finding it, throws it at a dragon for no reason and to make it even worse it focuses on the dragon just crushing and eating it

the time line is constantly contradicting when any time a character mentions how many days it been when another says its been possibly weeks or months

the plot not making any sense in most these eps with half arse excuses to have some sort of drama

instantly finding out what the runes in the dragon book mean by using the fucking internet of all things somehow which they could’ve also easily done the moment they found the book right from the beginning of the show

The dragon book is just treated with no care or respect and is drawn on with shity scribbles

the contacdiction of the kids knowing a certain class of dragon before understanding the dragon book

every rune that was from the og films and show just completely dont match as clearly the writers just dont give a shit with any consistency

the fact they kept leading up to being serious to where hiccups finale resting place to only find it and make a joke with it actually having nothing to do with that and being instead a entrance to a realm

Its said that hiccups family just went in and out of the nine realms hanging out with the dragons which just makes no fucking sense and completely makes the ending of their final ferwell of the dragons utterly pointless

olivia just being worst mother with just being constantly bitchy about the wrong things when finding out that her son and the other kids have been riding dragons in the air over lava but then randomly just goes along with it and refusing to tell the other parents there that their kids are possibly doing dangerous shit all because she promises her own son now

theres a big reveal that tom is actually related to hiccup as a descendant which everyone fucking predicted from episode one of this shit show not to mention his last name kullersen literally translating to son of haddock

the shipping of characters are just ways to piss of the fandom as they know fully what the fans want with possibly tom and alex together in a healthy relationship and then choose to go with the worst pairing possible of tom and jun

writers throwing in 4th wall breaking comments by characters saying jokes that just feel like insults to anyone who watches or criticises the show

and finally last rant this is pretty funny but also wtf and just shows what a mess this show is, theres a character that’s literally a black male and then in a later episode is literally changed to white which apparently was a mistake as the show creators had two models and they accidentally used the white version

there’s probably way more and indepth points that i missed like a random guy with an axe trying to kill kids and trap and create a structures with dragons out of ice like i see a slight problem here with keeping and trapping fire breathing dragons with ice

honestly dear god its a meme that the show creator said in a interview that he cared for the franchise, it actually feels the writers just want to insult the entire fandom into being cancelled

i spent the first half of the season thinking 'if i just don't think about it in terms of the books, but as it's own stand-alone thing it's fine, right? im being nitpicky about it because i want what i already know, right?' god i really wish that was the case. there were things about it that i really liked, and things that made absolutely no sense, and things that just felt insulting to watch with my own two eyes.

unfortunately, right now i can't think about what i did like because im just so disappointed lmao, so what i hated:

everything, absolutely everything, felt rushed. they didn't give you a second to breathe before throwing in the next plotline. what do you mean the pekka rollins plotline was fixed in 3 and a half episodes when that was supposed to be kaz's big bad to overcome? the fun moments between alina and mal where they feel like they're believably, fully in love? never heard of them. who is the suffocating feeling of mal being trapped in a palace watching the girl he loves pass him by? i heard of her but i never saw her!!

it escaped my view the first few times it happened but it genuinely felt like they threw in book quotes blindly just for fan service in places where they didn't fit, and in turn we lost all meaning of what the quotes are supposed to mean. it happened more times than i can actually look back and find a specific one, but specifically, mal's lines declaring his love for alina just felt... god, flat? forced? i'll get into that more later.

we got to see more of zemini and shu han cultures, and that was great for the few seconds it lasted... but why were our actual shu han characters reduced to mere two-dimensional characters? what was the point of making tolya's love for poetry nothing more than a gag for laughs? tamar was missing for so long in the trilogy sequence that i entirely forgot she was with nikolai and the gang and couldn't remember if she'd gone with the crows or not. her and nadia's romance? if you can even call it that. these were supposed to be integral characters to the og trilogy and they were so completely absent that they might as well have not been cast.

jesper's trauma over hiding who he is is solved by a hallucination sequence and his mom saying it's okay, following a short conversation with a saint who didn't even get an ounce of his life story, and just immediately rushing into 'being grusha'. like, damn. i need me therapy that effective.

speaking of jesper, please dear god that wesper felt entirely like fanservice and bait and not at all the vibes of the book version of what they are and? also felt like a slap in the face considering the lack of tamar and nadia content we received. once again, just say you hate lesbians and like to use gay men to sell.

this list could really go on forever.

no because i'm mad about the disrespect put on tamar and nadia's names and it felt like tolya was purposely given more screentime with the crows while the only lesbian rep was left out of the process altogether.

the mal specific issues, which we all knew were coming.

i didn't hate the ending of his arc/beginning of his new adventure. in fact, it felt like a necessary step toward who he is as a person and giving him that choice felt like understanding his character. but it felt like understanding book mal, not at all the show's boy we see who would just choose alina over and over again. we were robbed of seeing mal at his most comfortable on the ship to novyi zem, about how naturally he fits in around people and how trapped and stifled he was in palace life. in rushing everything, we weren't given characterization that is integral to understanding who mal is. what drives him, what he was giving up. what he gained by getting that choice in the end.

just slap me across the face with a brick that says 'mal is the amplifier.' really, it would have been more subtle than everything the show did. i know a lot of people complained about how it came out of nowhere in the books but, really? there was no suspense, no crushing realization when baghra reveals it. even if you didn't know, you would have known well before that.

i still don't get why the mal/zoya stuff was removed. explain that to me. why could this man not have a relationship with someone that wasn't alina? and what was so wrong about letting him be flawed like he was throughout s&s?

i hate to say it but it felt like malina just wasn't the vibe here. with the quick pacing of everything, these two didn't get to have any actual intimate moments that weren't forced to include book quotes, and maybe there was a reason for that. but why give us s1 malina if you were just gonna disappoint like that? i genuinely don't get it.

there's still so much i think about it but it's making me more upset so i'll leave it here for now but GOD.

tl;dr the lack of tamadia was purposeful homophobia, the pacing wasn't it, and i think i'm entitled to financial compensation for what i just experienced.
