Ok so know im late to the party BUT,,,, heres my mlp infection au lol, unnecessary lore ramblings under the cut if ur interested but also CW for like, trypophobia???

Ok so *tucks hair behind ear lol* this is actually a curse that behaves like a virus cast by Queen Chrysalis before she turns to stone at the very end of the series teehee

The curse originally only impacts unicorns, who spread it through biting others, which is why Starlight (and most other unicorns) dont have bite marks, or are disembowled to a certain degree

Earth ponies and pegasi however, can only contract the virus through bite marks from infected unicorns, which is why they are often very gruesome and gorey looking, typically turning at a much faster rate than the unicorns who were originally affected

The curse (or the changeling virus) rewires ponies to only be able to feed off of love, in the same way changelings used feed off love, causing normal food to longer be nutritional anymore. Due to the virus blocking magic in infected unicorns, and regular ponies lacking the same abilities changelings have to consume love, the only way they can get the same satisfaction is by consuming others

The only unicorns uninfected (outside of the Crystal Empire) are Twilight and Rarity, as Twilight cast a protection shield around her and her friends when she realized that Queen Chrysalis was charging up one final spell (unknowingly saving the two of the from the curse). Princess Cadence, her family and any unicorns in the Crystal Empire are also unaffected due to the magic properties of the Crystal Heart protecting them

Each species acts different from each other once they fully succumb to the virus, but theyre all incredibly dangerous

●Unicorns are more likely to stalk ponies and attack at night, especially if the pony is (or looks similar to) someone they knew pre-infection. They hang back just far enough that theyre not an immediate threat, but will always keep targets within their line of sight and strike when least expected.

●Pegasi typically hunt in small flocks (two or three), and take to the skies if able. Theyre especially odd as they almost work together, similar to pre-infection, however the goal is to separate groups of ponies together to make them easier to overcome. Despite the teamwork, they are territorial with their prey once caught.

●Earth ponies are known to charge other ponies, (including the infected). Actively hunting and chasing them down until the victims tire out and are caught, or are lost. Often stopping at nothing to catch their prey, unless they are completely unable to move, the chase never ends. Should they catch up, they often stampede over their victim, efficiently subduing them.

one crack ''theory'' I have is that the punch nutty made in party animal is actually just some kind of alcohol because nutty doesn't know how to make punch (he's a little dumb) and he's just overall a party animal (pun intended); the reason he starts spinning out and stuff over like 1 molecule of sugar (which is more intense than usual) is because he's a little drunk, that's also why it tasted so bad so he put in sugar (but also he needs like at least 75% of any food ever to be sugar, or else its gross to him) This is by no means a serious theory lmao I just thought it was a funny thing

i cant believe i forgot that im a fire emblem enjoyer 🙄 i was reading some of my notifs/tags from that one post about the video game series you've played the longest and oh my god.

i would like to apologize to fire emblem for forgetting that i've played it even though it's probably one of the longest standing series in my life next to pokemon and xenoblade... 💀 (<- they have 565 hours in fire emblem, 170 in awakening, 45 for fates, 75 for sov, and 275 for three houses and perhaps a few hours from feh but we don't talk about that)

anyway. did you know i like fire emblem. and that i like reading tags. i hope you all have swag times with whatever game series makes you happy! 💙

ooooo that is interesting !!!!!! cause it can go two ways — we can give the itoshis another sibling that would be our bestie — or something more canon compliant ( which is def my fav out of the two lol ) and instead, we’re rin’s one and only best friend :( we already know how he is, reserved to a fault, always keeping to himself only. the only scenario that’d make sense would be us meeting rin just about when sae first left for spain, kind of taking his place you get me?? cause i don’t think rin would be too fond of looking for a friendship any later than this lol. he tells you about sae all the time — you never got a chance to meet the guy — and the stories and superlatives are just enough to form this big idea of him in your mind. rin makes him sound so effortlessly cool, you wish you could see how he is yourself, but don’t ever get the opportunity until years later, when the brothers are already broken up and not even on speaking terms anymore. you know how badly sae messed with rin’s confidence and worldview in general — it was hard to stand him sometimes, even for you — and so, you loathe the guy before you even get to chat to him properly.

and you honestly wish you never got the chance at all. cause the more you speak to him, the more you struggle to hate him. you’re more than aware on how it would — definitely will — ruin your relationship with rin, but you cannot help and wish to see more of the older itoshi brother. :(((
