I saw a Facebook page for bisexuals that said bi is regardless of gender. I thought, ok, cool, I agree. It seemed like a regular bisexual page but when someone asked in the comments what the difference between bi and pan was (on a post responding to if pansexuals are allowed to follow the page and stating they can but it’s first and foremost a bi space), the owner of the page posted a link to an article addressing myths about bisexuality instead. I didn’t even bother to read the article. Idk if I’m over thinking this but to me it just felt like a dismissal of other mspec identities like pan, omni, ply, etc. and dare I say it, erasure even. This page thinks there’s no difference between bi and pan, which is fine to have personal opinions, but for a lot of people there is a difference and it’s important and meaningful to them, something the page did not acknowledge. I’m sick of bisexuals invalidating our identities. We exist, and we are valid. I’m sick of seeing panphobia, omniphobia, etc from bisexuals who should be standing in unison with us. We are part of the mspec community and we need to bring each other up, not down. And this includes mspec minorities.
see for me, defining bisexuality broadly as regardless of gender is the first red flag. because while some bisexuals use that definition, it has never been the general, community definition. then add to that saying pan people can follow but it's a bi page first and linking an article about bisexual myths when someone asked the difference......i'd give that page a hard pass if i were you.
i'm sure the people running that page think bi is an umbrella term that pan is included in, so it's interesting that they say the page is first and foremost a bi page. pan people (and omni and ply and all other non-bi mspec folks) are stuck in this in-between place where we're constantly told bi includes us but bi spaces/events/etc. aren't for us.
but yeah, you're right. panphobia, omniphobia, plyphobia, etc. from bi folks is super frustrating and disheartening. especially because of how it's never addressed or called out by anyone but us. it's never taken seriously. and when we address it, we're accused of being the bad guys, of talking over people, of making everything about ourselves. we're the most invisible people in the mspec community, so it's hard to get people to listen to us.
folks need to do better and stop trying to make the queer community about exclusive little groups with their "you can't sit with us" mindset. because who does that help? who is benefiting from that?

hi kiri What’s the deal with a3’s timeloop day. you shouldn’t be surprised that I am asking this. okay I love you bye
ok this is actually a pretty simple answer! but i got rambly so here's a readmore.
A3! (which stands for Act! Addict! Actors! <- don’t ask me why it’s this. idk) is a gacha game where you play as the manager, Izumi Tachibana (I’m doing first name, last name here) and you work to revive a dying theater company called Mankai. there’s 3 Acts, each with like, 4 big stories in them. and a bunchhhh of shorter event storiess which imo are crucial to experience. The first 2 acts, along with the interceding events, have been completely localized, and were run on the now-defunct English server. There is, however, an archive—if at any point in time you are ever interested, feel free to shoot me a message. And I’m serious. Even if it’s like two years later. It’s been like almost 3 years since I started going thru a3 and I haven’t even finished act 2. I’m slow
Anyways, Act 1 deals with establishing the company—in its former glory, there used to be four troupes that rotated by season. Izumi’s dad also used to run it, and he disappeared. So that’s why there’s four big stories each act: it’s one per season. In Act 1, each story deals with gathering the members for each season troupe together, and then pulling off their first play. And it also deals with like, the issues all the characters are facing. It is like, within the yumejoshi genre so there’s definitely that vibe of like. wow look at all these pretty boys who are kind of into me!? but I think it’s pretty mild on that point and like. something I enjoy is that I can see Izumi as like. an actual Character as opposed to just a self-insert. Which is nice. but the real selling point for me is that there’s a lot of like, found family and rich character dynamics within the cast. It is even homosexual sometimes.
One thing I find really interesting about a3 is that I think it has really strong character writing and development. And it’s really good at establishing different “moods” across each troupe, which works well in creating dynamics and also because each troupe specializes in something different. So spring is like, the “classic” troupe—they tend to do lots of reinterpretations of classic works, though that’s not exclusively their thing… but anyways. they do like. nice fantastical stories in my opinion. Summer does comedy, autumn does action, and winter does drama. and winter HAS drama.
Now up until winter there’s been some wackiness in a3 but it’s been like, pretty grounded in how it’s played out. and then winter rolls around and. see the issue with winter is that unlike some of the younger members they’re all composed of adults. so they’re bad at talking about their feelings, because instead of just shouting things out loud they will just shut down and like. Leave. I love this about them and I think it’s such a good writing choice.
Enter Tasuku Takato and Tsumugi Tsukioka. Tasuku and Tsumugi used to be like, the best of friends. they acted together and followed their passions together. and then they both auditioned for the God Troupe together, which is this prestigious famous troupe (it’s also evil.) and while tasuku got in and became one of the lead actors, tsumugi failed his audition. This left a deep scar on Tsumugi, who ended up kind of running away from acting as a vocation all together. now, Tasuku quit the God troupe because they were engaging in some shady stuff, and ended up joining Mankai along with Tsumugi, who coincidentally was inspired to try acting again. tsumugi’s been elected the leader of winter troupe, and therefore the person who’s meant to take the lead role in their first play. Tasuku is constantly snapping at him whenever he’s unconfident, and it’s just not great vibes. To top it all off, they’ve been issued a challenge by the God troupe, where they’ll both perform and the audience has to vote on which play they like better. Tsumugi is not really confident he can stand up to them for obvious reasons. Tasuku gets mad at him about it. Tsumugi runs into this weird doll, and the next day, they wake up in a time loop.
See, the thing is, they’re on such a tight deadline for the play, and winter is So Bad at talking about their feelings, that magic is real now. this is somewhat of an oversimplification, but it’s funny to say it like this. Anyways, there are like, seven mysteries in Mankai (have I mentioned they all dorm together! they all do! Each of them has a roommate and they all live in a big dorm that’s connected to their own theater and stage. It’s part of why they’re in such big debt and trouble at the beginning—its really hard to maintain those facilities) and one of them is about this doll that will put you in a time loop unless you become friends. essentially. And this is what happens… eventually they end up talking to each other for real due to the time loop, and each affirms just how much they respect the acting of the other. later on when Tsumugi slips back into being unconfident tasuku is able to resolve his past mistakes, because part of why he was so angry at Tsumugi was also because he was angry at himself for like. not reaching out. And telling him how much he loved him and his acting. Because their styles are very different—tasuku is loud and commanding, and Tsumugi is a more understated and subtle.
A3 is also very very cool in that parts of its plays mirror real life? so like. this play, sympathy for an angel, has two leads: Michael (Tsumugi) and Raphael (Tasuku). In it, Michael becomes interested in this woman on a list of people who are about to die, and ends up visiting the human world. He writes letters to her. His friend, Raphael, warns him against this, saying that he’s foolish for going so far for someone he can’t even meet. And each time he steps into the human world, his own soul gets weaker, and his wings begin to wither. Still, he persists against objections. Eventually, the woman recovers, gets a fiancé, and he returns to heaven. Thinking he’ll just wish for her happiness even with his unrequited love, he looks at the list and finds out that despite recovering, she’s still on the close to death list. Despite the danger to himself, he descends into the human world, and takes her place in a car accident. As he’s dying, his soul about to be obliterated because he’s been in the human world too often, Raphael descends and holds him in his arms. Michael says that he’s happy he got to do something for the person he loves, and he’s happy to be held by his best friend. Raphael says that though he’d called Michael the fool, it was him that truly was one: because he stood by, unable to protect both the person he loves and his best friend. Because he was in love with Michael the whole time of course. And then Michael dies in his arms. Now this makes me weepy as does the accompanying character song but what I really love most about it is like. Raphael’s regrets in that he didn’t protect Michael kind of directly mirror Tasuku’s own regrets in being unable to help Tsumugi when he was going through a tough time? only Tsumugi isn’t dead and so Tasuku has an actual chance to fix things, which is sweet.
It should be mentioned that one guy in the spring troupe WRITES all of these plays which is deeply funny to me bc it means that 1) he is probably gay and doesn’t know this and 2) he has precognitive abilities regarding the inner psyche of all of his castmates. and that’s a3 timeloop day. some of these a3 characters have me by the throat btw I just get beamed visions of them chatting and introspecting like constantly. I definitely haven’t explained everything but I think this is enough?

smiles at you. how about some hcs for kira and the other dna bladers. they are all so silly to me <3
waaa the gang <3 I love them. These are all gonna be like post-canon, “all of dna live in an apartment together” focused bc that’s my favorite way to think about them.
I’ve been rereading some of my own fics recently and stumbled upon a line I forgot I wrote about Spike and Genjuro sometimes having to force Arrow to drink water because he usually exclusively drinks sugary drinks and I think that’s silly. I think the idea of arrow randomly being like “man I have a killer headache rn idk why :/“ and them going “well how much water have you been drinking?” And arrow being like “how much what have I huh now?” and them being wildly concerned is very funny.
Adding onto that, I think out of DNA, Spike and Genjuro are the best at taking care of themselves when they need to because the others have like zero sense of self preservation. I think that Karura surprisingly can also pretend to be a sensible human being sometimes as well. I love the idea of Karura having his own little mini spice and veggie garden and helping Spike and Genjuro cook sometimes <3
Dunno how much this is a hc so much as it just kinda implied but Arrow is super inspired by Kira and looks up to him a lot, not only just when it comes to beyblade but like, life as a whole. ESPECIALLY when it comes to fashion. He’s experimented a bit with eyeliner before (mostly just to fill out the gaps in his mask) but eventually wants to try getting into makeup more as a whole and he immediately asks Kira for advice with that. I like to think that the two end up really bonding over it and end up going shopping together a lot and Kira helps Arrow pick out outfits and stuff <3
Ok I cannot hold myself back rn I need to be a little bit angsty bc I think about this with post-canon dna way too much (a lot of these ideas have been sparked by our past conversations lol). I think despite the fact that they are trying to be better people and while I do think the general opinion of them comes around eventually, for a long while immediately after the events of shogun steel they are kinda still public enemies #1 and that makes life ROUGH for all of them for a while. They all have very different views and ways of dealing with that as well.
Kira, still upholding his role as leader, feels a certain level of responsibility and, by proxy, guilt about this. He feels a strong sense of duty towards dna to help guide and protect them from then on out, especially realizing that he hadn’t treated them particularly well in the past. He can’t help but partially blame himself for putting them in the position they are now and in his path for redemption, seeks not only to make it up to the main gang and public at large but dna as well. He feels really guilty when he sees them mistreated by others and feels a level of protectiveness over them. He really takes the idea that he needs to take care of them seriously and occasionally that means taking the fall for them or defending them from people who are being particularly assholeish.
Genjuro kinda wants to keep everyone under the radar while all this is happening and although they know he means well, none of the others are particularly fond of this and kind of end up butting heads with him a lot as a result. The main two especially with this are Baihu and Karura.
Karura tries not to argue with Genjuro much, but at Genjuro’s insistence that they should be trying to keep a low profile and thus not dress as flashy as they usually would, Karura is a little peeved. This strikes a particular nerve with him specifically for two reasons. 1. Karura’s a unique looking dude as a whole, and he finds it’s kinda hard to “keep a low profile” when you’ve got a blue mohawk and burn scars all over your face and body. and 2. His appearance is something he takes pride in. He’s not insecure by any means, and his style being as flashy as it is is an act of embracing his uniqueness in a way that suits him, so to have to change that is something that leaves him particularly disgruntled.
Baihu, by contrast, more directly takes opposition to Genjuro and the two get into a lot of fights because of it. Baihu is used to using trickery, mischief, and brute force to gain traction in life and he takes no qualms in doing that not only to defend his name, but to just survive at times. He and Spike are the ones who are the most easily irritated by the way people look down on them and will frequently start fights with strangers over it, despite being told it’s not worth it. Baihu does not like to be held back and does not like letting people just walk all over them, but he’ll bite his tongue from time to time for the sake of the others. What he won’t do, however, is sit back and let his pack struggle under his watch. I think that along with struggling to be in public, it’s also really tough for them to find ways to support themselves and they tend to get turned away by a lot of businesses and tournaments, so it is hard for them to get by for a while. I think eventually, the wbba is informed of this and provides them support in this regard, but before then, all Baihu knows is that they need to eat. Genjuro does not like it when Baihu steals, but Baihu doesn’t care, because if no one else is gonna provide for them, he will, and it doesn’t matter to him by what means that comes by. (I have thought abt drawing a comic with this idea for AGES. Will I ever get around to it? only time will tell)
I also think they have an interesting time trying to get along with the main gang after everything that’s happened. Zyro is obviously the most forgiving, and since he and Kira very quickly become very close after they’ve bonded, he is more than ready to welcome the rest of DNA with open arms, and is very excited to let his friends properly get to know them. The others do not necessarily share the same kind of enthusiasm.
Maru, bless her soul, I think trusts Zyro’s judgment the most and is willing to give them another shot. She doesn’t necessarily look past all the things they’ve done, but she’s seen other people come around, especially due to Zyro’s influence, and so she trusts that they’ll be able to do the same. She ends up getting along well with Kira, Genjuro, and Arrow (cough cough for no reason in particular ahem ahem)
Shinobu is a little more apprehensive, as I think he’s one to hold grudges, but similarly to Maru, he trusts Zyro and is willing to move forward if he is. He’s definitely the most hesitant around Kira and Baihu (partially also Genjuro bc of the glass box battle but I think they’re more easily able to move on from that). Kira particularly is difficult for him to get along with just bc of everything that happened with him at multiple different points, but I think they end up having some very heartfelt conversations at some points about it and Kira communicates that he understands why Shinobu would still hold a grudge, but he really is trying to change and he hopes that him and the others will be able to prove that to him over time. And it does take time, but Shinobu understands that perspective and is willing to give them a shot.
Ren is hesitant at first, though for those she doesn’t have personal beef with, she’s able to forgive relatively quickly. The others though. oo boy. Her beef with Genjuro was settled with their rematch at the qualifier match attacks when she got the upper hand on him, so despite some slight animosity at first, they’re able to go to friendly rival status fairly quickly afterwards. Arrow and Spike however, she has NOT forgiven for what they did during the dna hq invasion and is not their biggest fan right off the bat. In the end, they decide to settle it like bladers do, and after a fair and even match with them (I think it’d be a duo battle with eight since he also has beef with them for the same reason (I’ll get to that too)) they’re able to understand each other a little more and settle their issues. It’s not immediate forgiveness, but it’s a start.
Kite and Eight are the biggest grudge holders of all time. It is very hard for them to move on. Kite has massive beef with Yoshio, not only because their rivalry was never properly settled, but bc he not only picked a fight with kite, but hurt eight and well and kite does NOT play when it comes to eight. He’s also not particularly fond of Baihu either but I think eventually he’s able to understand the more caring side of him and come to terms with him a little more. There’s the obvious route of his rivalry with Karura continuing as well but they don’t have any real animosity towards each other and it’s mostly just very silly and lighthearted. On eight’s end, he equally is not fond of Yoshio and also has a continued hatred towards Spike and Arrow, and anyone who eight hates Kite hates too. His and Ren’s battle with them helps it a bit, but Eight’s a stubborn little kid and doesn’t let that show for a long while still. He needs to get in what he thinks is their deserved amount of teasing and bullying before he can actually start to warm up to them. I think in the end, what ends up bringing them both around, is Kite connecting with Kira. I actually really love these two as a duo (it’s a shame that a lot of the stuff I’ve seen of them together online is from weirdos) and I think they really could have a genuine heart to heart, with Kira opening up about the responsibility he feels towards dna and kite connecting to that as an older brother. Again, kite cares about his brother more than anything, and protecting him and taking care of him is his biggest priority, so understanding that Kira feels a very similar duty towards the other members of dna, it humanizes them more in kite’s mind and he’s able to empathize with them more, and so he’s more willing to give them a chance afterwards. And since eight would follow kite to the ends of the earth, when kite starts to warm up to them a little more, eight starts to give them a chance as well.
OH MAN YOU KNOW WHAT I JUST THOUGHT ABOUT TJATS REALLY GETTING ME GOING RIGHT NOW. Kira talking to Tsubasa and the other adults.
There’s a certain kind of shame that makes his head hang and a certain degree of fear that he can’t quite place that makes him hesitate as he walks inside the wbba building with Zyro. His gut twists when they go up the elevator and his heart drops when Zyro tells him that that’s as far as he’ll take him, and that Kira needs to talk to them on his own. He’s so used to having a degree of control over everything around him like he did with the garcias and like how he thought he did with doji, so going into an environment where he’s just a powerless teenager, it scares him. He would try to be intimidating but he knows that won’t work on them. His magic has no power in this realm.
The treatment he got from the garcias and doji when he was no longer their perfect little puppet leads him to prepare for the worst, especially considering these are people who have every reason to hate him and persecute him for everything he’s done to them, so he’s dumbfounded when they welcome him with open arms and warm smiles. It feels like a trap— there’s no way it’s not a trap, right? Trying to careen him into a false sense of security? But the longer they talk, the more opportunities to drop the ball they don’t take, and Kira realizes that they’re being genuine. It stabs him in the gut in a way he doesn’t understand. They take no hesitance in assuring that him and dna aren’t getting off 100% scott free, but their punishment is so… not grueling? It doesn’t even sound like a punishment when they say that they’ll have to do community service and take mentorship under Benkei, but that’s what they’ve settled on. And when they emphasize that they know that Kira and the others aren’t bad kids, and were just misguided and still deserving of a second chance, Kira doesn’t even realize that he’s crying until he feels the tears drip from his chin or that the stabbing feeling in his gut has intensified until he’s keeling over for a reason he doesn’t understand. He equally doesn’t understand why there’s a warm hand patting him on the shoulder and another two helping him to his feet. It’s a strange kind of feeling that he hasn’t felt before and he’s not quite sure what it means.

Small disclaimer - This isn't a hate piece on Kagami; this is just my opinion. It's ok the criticise a person's work if it comes from good intentions and isn't meant to outright bash the series. I try several times throughout to provide some suggestions for ways I think the things I take issue with could've been done differently, because I'm trying to provide critique that's actually helpful instead of just "Idk he should've figured it out himself lol"
Look I love fluff and backstory and reveals but fluff and especially backstory in an overarching story has to make sense to be reasonable. Why didn't we get all the MikaYū out of our systems back when it would've MADE SENSE FOR THE STORY when they were reconnecting and reforming their bond??? We got a bit, but all of this stuff should've been sprinkled in during those times.
Why didn't we get a scene of them talking and reminiscing on the bus instead of a random flashback in the middle of plot important conversations? More than just on top of the car. These people haven't been in close contact with each other in four years and only a few months has passed since they reunited, and they clearly weren't doing much considering we had time to throw Ferid out of a window.
Why not have them bond over their shared goals and talk more about Mika's dwindling emotions in Ferid's house after it was revealed and they clearly had a lot of time?
Why weren't some of the orphanage flashbacks included just after it was revealed 'Mr Saito' (who Mika was said to like because he gave him drug money to buy lollies) was using them? It could've been a great opportunity to establish the kind of role Rígr had in their lives and give Yū some insight on what life in the orphanage was actually supposed to be like.
Why not include a scene after Mika's death as a Vampire for Yū to grieve and possibly think about the fact he's now lost his entire Hyakuaya Orphanage family? Whatever happened to the nightmares he was having about losing Mika? And back to a different point why didn't the idea of being in Ferid's house again spark any memories of one of the most traumatic events of his life?
Yes I can hear the BuT RiRi it'S NoT jUsT miKaYū and yes I am aware, but the flashbacks regarding them just seem to make the least sense??? Crowley's singular page where he explained what he was in his Human life helped put into perspective the kind of emotional damage that caused him for even people who didn't read Vampire Michaela. 105 gave us a flashback to explain Urd and Rígr's several conflicts and the animosity between them that had yet to be clarified. Shinoa's past gave us a better idea of what she experienced in her childhood as a result of just being born, and why she even goes along with all this stuff when she's supposed to be logical.
Then we get a MikaYū flashback and it's like "Oh Mika? He's taking a dump rn" AND WHY DID I NEED TO KNOW THAT EXACTLY?? Not everything had to be plot centric but if memory serves it directly interrupted the plot. Mika could go take a dump in the WOODS for all I care. No I don't like the placement of Ashera's flashback, even if the contents is good.
There is also a lot to say about Shinoa (outside of her love for Yū), which while I liked the little we learned in the manga the light novels definitely portrayed something different to what we have now. Yes, I know, that's dumb out of context because I am definitely NOT the same person I was eight years ago I still had a Father back then ffs but Shinoa was shown to be very resourceful—she used many aspects of all of her abilities like spells. Now she relies heavily on cursed gear, which is great and I adore how it was animated in the adaptation, but variety wise it would've been a lot more interesting for her to be shown using the many aspects of her knowledge to support her and her teammates attacks (not I'm not saying I wish she was EXCLUSIVELY support but like there are many ways she could boost her own attacks, help her teammates in a pinch, get herself out of tough situations, especially now that she doesn't have cursed gear I want to see an actual impact of that).
There are many other things I could say too, like the lack of weight I feel to many of the characters' trauma and the things they got through. Why didn't we learn anything about Mirai and Shiho before or after her death? How am I supposed to care about him when I know next to nothing about his relationship to Mirai? I know they're siblings and he loves her, but he was going to ignore seeing her when she was possibly going to die to finish a school test. Where is she now? He left her in a freezer last we saw. If there was any time for a flashback it would be now.
Mitsuba's first conflicts have never come back up again about how she accidentally 'killed' her squad leader. That too feels trivial now, I can't see the affect it has on her beyond her just giving up and letting Yū do what he wants because he saved her once and she has a crush on him?? I don't need his address or anything but what was their relationship like? How long had she known him? Her experience? Had they previously fought over the issue? How am I supposed to understand why this has impacted her beyond the obvious of causing the death of another Human being when I don't know anything about how they were as subordinate and superior?
Yoichi's revenge on Lacus and the personality he's keeping hidden feels like a late addition, and not in a good way, there was nothing to indicate it or even hint at it. Why not have Yūichirō lose control of his demon instead and have it be a point of suspicion how effectively Yoichi dealt with the process despite the doubts surrounding him? It would've also brought Yū's ability down a notch to feel more Human, more inexperienced (like he is) because if I recall someone with that much ambition and desire is easier to overwhelm. SHOW that instead of telling it and then saying 'Oh this guy is just the exception'. Yoichi showing hidden strength and wit (in dealing with Yū in that state) from day one would've made it marginally more believable that maybe that personality always existed in him.

Today I listened to the Rent cast album for the first time in... a number of years, and it sure does hit differently now that I’m an adult and not an extremely sheltered suburban tween.
(the first time I heard any of the songs was at Jewish sleepaway camp in the Poconos. yes, really. we sang it on hikes. the girl who actually owned the cast album was in a different bunk, so I exclusively heard the ‘as sung by 12-14 year old girls’ version until I got home. yes, the lyrics were bowdlerized)
anyway! some notes:
Mark’s mom is still very funny and her voicemail is, perhaps, the most realistic thing in this musical.
I was definitely well into my 20s before I noticed that a Tom Collins is also a cocktail? whoops
wow but Benny looks different to me that he did when I was younger. like. the things his friends are mad at him for are Very Different from the things he does that are actually bad?
actually let me break this down.
Things Benny’s Friends Are Mad At Him For:
leaving them behind to marry a bougie lady
gentrification
‘stealing’ Mimi from Roger
Things Benny Does That Are Genuinely Bad:
cheats on his wife with a 19-year-old HIV+ heroin addict
okay, yeah, gentrification, I’ll grant you that
Things Benny Does That Are Good, Actually:
lets his friends live in the building he owns rent-free for a year
pays for Mimi’s rehab
left what must have been an absolute nightmare of a living situation, to marry a bougie lady
seriously can you imagine what that apartment was like
an unheated squat occupied by Benny, Mark, Roger, Collins, and Maureen? nope, no thank you
also Roger has only been clean for six months at the start of the musical, so he was still a full-blown heroin addict when Benny left
actually I would bet that the sequence of events went: April kills herself (IN THEIR BATHROOM) -> Roger spirals even further -> Benny gets the fuck out of there
and tbh good for him
anyway
I don’t love that they make the same “Maureen is a lesbian now, lol” joke twice in the space of like five minutes
the timeline of “Maureen dumps Mark, keeps him as her production manager for a month, then replaces him two days before her show” is... bad. Mark, you have a noodle for a spine.
Joanne’s parents’ voicemail: also still funny. “and wear a bra!” is perfect.
btw Joanne and Mark are both clearly slumming so idk why it’s only bad when Benny does it
hey it’s actually very fucked up that Angel killed Benny’s dog???
not sure when I first noticed this, but Mark, Roger and Collins all use he/him pronouns for Angel, and Mimi, Joanne and Maureen use she/her. huh.
“I’ll Cover You” is still extremely good.
Collins and Joanne are the only adults in this musical.
“Over the Moon” is a perfect parody of bad performance art, so props for that
oh good, “La Vie Boheme” still slaps
I have a lot more sympathy for the Life Cafe waitstaff than I used to, though
btw please envision 13-year-old me, on a hike in the Pennsylvania woods, with 20 other 13-year-olds who are all word-perfect on “La Vie Boheme” but definitely don’t know what a dildo is and kind of mumble their way through the swears.
god I loved “Take Me Or Leave Me” so much as a kid but WOW Maureen would be a nightmare to date IRL
tbh everyone except Collins and Angel should just like. be single for a while. take some time to work on themselves.
you know what, my decision to skip “Contact” on most play-throughs was both correct and, in retrospect, a Big Ace Mood
unsurprisingly, the reprise of “I’ll Cover You” still makes me tear up.
“What You Own” isn’t bad, as such, but it does make me roll my eyes at both Mark and Roger. Especially Mark. my dude, you have by far the fewest problems of any of your friends, and you need to take it down a notch.
the little moment where Mark corrects “Muffy” to “Alison” is really interesting to me? the implication is that they know her well enough now to feel bad about the nickname. I choose to believe that Alison is actually way too good for Benny and his friends all come to recognize that.
aw, Roger. “Your Eyes” is very heartfelt. it’s not good, but it’s heartfelt.
I still like the finale a lot, but boy, these kids have a LOT of problems, huh.
hm apparently I have extensive opinions about what would happen to the characters over the next 25 years.
okay just right off the bat: I doubt that Mimi lives more than a year. sorry! but her odds are Not Good
I would like to think that Roger makes it a little longer than Mimi -- at least long enough to record an album
does Benny bankroll the album and get him a record deal, out of guilt? probably.
does Roger, when he dies, leave the IP and royalties to Mark anyway? also probably
his album reaches a Jeff Buckleyesque level of posthumous cult fame, which is nice for him
sometimes he is featured in listicles about 12 Artists Who Recorded Their Last Albums As They Died
assuming Alison doesn’t leave his dumb ass, I would like to think that Benny chills the fuck out and learns some empathy once they have kids
regrettably, he probably does manage to become a dot-com billionaire
Joanne is 100% married and living in DC by today, and she and her wife both work on the Hill. I can guarantee that they send their kids to either Sidwell Friends or the Maret School. maybe Duke Ellington for high school
Maureen has joined a cult at least once and has almost no contact with her friends from her New York days
I bet she’s the only one who actually lives in the Southwest now
she goes to Burning Man every year without fail
Mark has never made a commercially successful film
he still lives in New York, though
mostly because the royalties from Roger’s lone album let him buy into a co-op before he could get priced out of Manhattan
some of his old footage has made its way into various documentaries, most recently on Netflix
in his free time he volunteers at an after-school program where he teaches filmmaking to at-risk youth
they keep trying to get him on tik-tok but he doesn’t understand what that is
Collins is happy, healthy, gainfully employed in meaningful work, and in love.

I would like to hear your thoughts on Asmo please and thank you :)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
My pretty pretty boy!! Ngl I’m so happy to have more than one person sending him in ;w;
tagging @demonfamilytherapist since you sent in Asmo >.< Although idk if you can see that i tagged you since you’re still in the abyss…?
First impression
(man that wedding event, all my first impressions are based off of them and their proposals to MC >.<) He!! His proposal!! ;w; ;w; ;w; Struck me as a really thoughtful guy, vain and very self-loving.
Impression now
Okay, I really love Asmo okay?? It pains me that he’s one of the least popular characters because ugh!! He is still SO sweet and so lovely, especially to MC and he has his moments where he shows that he pay attention to his brothers and supports them. And he’s just so… interesting? I will stand by my opinion that he’s also the most unhinged and demonic out of all his brothers—the way he apparently doesn’t get scared and only pretends to be because it’s cute??? Him not telling MC about the hot spring he’s inviting them to being like… 400+ degrees and then being like ‘suit yourself!’ when they don’t wanna go? That shit he says about pulling out their heart if you respond a certain way when they return to the HoL in Lesson 13/14?
AND! The way he’s rarely ever that mad or sad about you rejecting his advances? I swear sometimes he’s like ‘oh that just makes you all the more attractive’ and I just ugh Asmo ;w;
There’s so many sweet moments with Asmo that’s hidden in the chats and Devilgrams and they contrast so interestingly to how he’s so downright venomous when he wants to be, notably with Mammon who’s also the second half of Team Party??
And speaking of Mammon, all the implications of Asmo being jealous of the guy are so fascinating to me, as well as all the hints (and Simeon’s blatant callout) of his insecurities?? His habit of being a people pleaser? And the incredibly depressing fact that despite his popularity he actually doesn’t rank as high as you’d think he would and lets it spill that no one ever says anything about his personality?
There is a hidden misery beneath his bubbly demeanor and I’m here for it!!
Favorite moment
Not quite a moment but I really, really enjoyed the Bloody Moon arc where you spend a whole lot of time with him and you get the first hints that his love for you/MC has eclipsed his love for himself.
Also his 2021 birthday event where he gets threats on his life and he‘s like ‘oh well~! haha’
Idea for a story
Satan and Asmo teaming up to torture someone. That’s it. Not even sure who and why but I want it happening.
Unpopular opinion
I do actually think that if you/MC asked him to, he’d keep the relationship closed and exclusive. To me, MC is kind of a The One/The One Exception for him? MC‘s gently eased their way into Asmo’s heart and he’s grown to love them like he’s never loved anyone else (during his time as a demon, at least.) I’m of the mind that MC’s enough to satiate him because they so genuinely love all of him… However it is gonna have to be fair—if MC has multiple partners, then they’re gonna have to be okay with him having multiple partners too.
Favorite relationship
Him and Mammon!! Team Party!! I enjoy their chats and banter and how they go between hating the shit out of each other to being each other’s besties for the sake of partying it up since they’re the only two Extroverts In That Way people in the family. Love it when they’re being little shits to each other and I also love it when they get along >.< There’s this one chat Team Party chat where Mammon asks MC and Asmo if they wanna go try something new at Madame Scream’s and when MC reminds Mams that Asmo’s on a diet, Mammon’s like ‘a little won’t hurt, just exercise and it’ll cancel out the calories >:3c’ and idk I love it a lot
Favorite headcanon
Asmo is in charge of the uniforms in RAD and has his own little team who make everything. They used to all have one single uniform but after one spiel about the importance of individuality and self-expression through aesthetic (especially since it looks like once you’re in RAD, you’re in RAD for eons) Diavolo’s like ‘alright I’ll leave all this up to you.’ He’s got this catalogue of various options (which is like… Intimidatingly massive in scope) and once the new student’s made their choices of jacket style, bottoms, what they’ll wear under, shoes, etc., by the end of the day it’ll be ready for them. Default is that a week’s worth of uniforms are delivered, but an order can be placed for more.

I’m sorry you have to receive so much Geordo-hate asks!
I mean, we know he is not a perfect character and has many flaws, but that’s precisely that what makes him interesting, as it’s been shown that he himself wishes to change for the better for Katarina sake’s
And even if we are few, I am also team Geordo ✨! So I’d be delighted if you could share more headcanons about his relationship with the King and Queen? I personally find his family life very interesting, as his “fake” personality may be a result of being kind of ignored in comparison with his other brothers
Thank you :D -🐢
Haha, I think this question was sent around S2 EP3 or EP4, and episode 5 pretty much answers this question for me so I feel really bad for getting to this one so late into the series qwq I'm really sorry!! Don't worry about the hate-asks, I either just ignore or delete them these days anyways, and people have been favoring Geordo recently so it's really slowed down!! :DD
As Episode 5 shows us, it's true that his "perfect prince facade" is the outcome of not receiving much love and attention from his parents, especially when compared to Alan. He realized that wanting something or having expectations only leads to pain and suffering, so he decided to close off his emotions and just do what everyone tells him to do so that he wouldn't be faced with disappointments. He becomes all smiles and charm, the perfect guy who can do pretty much anything, since that is what is desired and expected of him. To some extent, maybe using all of his time honing himself and studying is a way for him to forget any desire and disappointments that he feels in the moment. He basically planned on turning himself into a robot or machine who can do anything and can read people easily so he would know their intentions immediately without forming any expectations of them. Maybe his "sadistic" side in Fortune Lover is the outcome of him wanting to see pain and disappointment in other people's faces, since it is something he loathe and fear of feeling himself (maybe, idk).
He isn't perfect, but the series is definitely going out of it's way to show us that there's more going on in Geordo's head than just being possessive and overly-confident in himself. I guess that's why he's one of the more interesting characters in my opinion, his problems didn't end in his childhood, it's still something he's actively trying to fix until now. I really suggest reading this comment on Geordo's psyche based on Episode 5, it's such a cool read!!
Not really a headcanon at this point, but Geordo actively wants to experience parental love, especially from his mother. Most kids are closest to their mothers so that's no surprise. Queen Stuart doesn't seem like she can balance the duties of a queen and caring for her children, so she might have just put all her attention onto Alan since he's the youngest and is sick. I often hear stories from my dad about how his mom only really visibly cared for the youngest child even though there was so many of them in the family, so I'm shocked but not surprised by the Queen's behavior.
For the King, I'm sure he loves his sons a lot but given his role in the kingdom, he doesn't see them often. I feel like the relationship between the King and his sons is similar to that to most korean historical fantasy(/villainess) manhwas where he can't or feels like he doesn't need to be an overly affectionate father because that's just how it is in the royal family. Maintaining order and raising competent rulers is the priority, so being loving and affectionate wouldn't be in his list of things to do. He still loves his sons of course but as of right now we don't really have an indication that he actively seeks them out beyond social gatherings and important events.
Maybe the queen is the same, I'm not sure. What does a queen do anyways? I thought the priority of women in the middle ages was to raise and care for children almost exclusively. We don't really know if she still visits and cares for Alan a lot after he got better, and I don't think she had begun to give more attention to her other sons after that point either. It's almost like she became as goal-oriented as the King after Alan got better, which I don't like thinking about since she seemed like such a nice lady in Episode 5. Alternatively, I can imagine a scenario similar to Pryde's from The Most Heretical Last Boss Queen where upon the realization that his sons are living a happy childhood without her, the Queen started actively reaching out to the sons behind the curtains and tries to be a more active mother to them when they were getting older. Maybe it's that kind of thing that we don't really see but does happen, and could be another great differentiator to the relationships of the Stuart family in the prevent vs in fortune lover.
I headcanon that the more the Princes finally become involved with work and politics, they are actually able to bond with their dad more because they can finally be in the same room. Things like talking about their fiancés or making fun of idiotic and narcissistic vassals are the kind of things I can imagine them talking about.
I also like headcanons in fanfics where they make Geordo a momma's boy, who would call his parents "mummy and daddy" in private like in @/SixthOctavarium's Flip the Script. I think it's really cute because it shows how much Geordo loves and cares for his parents.
I hope we get more insight on the relationships between the royal family, it's content that I didn't know I needed to be honest haha. Sorry if I couldn't give a lot, most of the stuff I could save has been confirmed and deconfirmed by Episode 5, and I haven't read fanfiction recently enough to mirror how they write the King and Queen qwq Anyone is free to add more headcanons here if you guys want :DD
Thank you for the ask^^

alright getting the most obvious one out of the way, bobby fish for the wrestler ask post
skjfdsj the most obvious one... perhaps!!
am i a fan: is water wet? (yes ♥)
favourite move: pretty much any of his kicks tbh his strikes are so good! also his running tackle, and his avalanche falcon arrow
favourite match: singles match - vs katsuyori shibata for the never openweight title at njpw destruction in tokyo 2016!! for anyone who has never seen this match, please do yourself a favour and check it out because it's an incredibly hard-hitting exhibition match that i think highlights bobby's strengths really well. tag team match - redragon vs the revival (aka ftr) on nxt tv in november 2019. it's without a doubt the best tag match that rdgn were ever allowed to have in nxt and bobby in particular worked his ass off in this one. the right teams, the right show, the right timing. it's immensely rewatchable imo
favourite feud: vs roderick strong for the roh tv title in 2015-2016. even though bobby is more face-leaning in this (which is relative considering face bobby is still pretty bastardous), and wbk how i feel abt bastards, it's a fun feud that gave bobby the opportunity to out-promo roddy at every opportunity and have a series of fantastic mostly mid-card matches across a series of tv, live events and ppvs. njpw and tomohiro ishii got involved in this one too, towards the end!
favourite promo: every fish tank ever ♥ i can not and will not narrow it down because every single one, pre-taped youtube exclusives or live in-ring segments, are all incredible. it's about time rdgn got to do these segments again because they're sooo funny
dream match: god... a lot of my dream matches are actually rematches (with teams like ftr, the time splitters and tmdk, and people like bryan danielson and kevin owens) but in terms of new matches... shayna baszler and samoa joe. also when he eventually retires i think it would be nice if his last match was against kyle. for maximum emotional devastation for me personally
seen live: yes! a number of times at various nxt house shows and takeovers, and on smackdown and survivor series. i would love to see more of his matches in person but international travel is just not feasible rn considering the global pandemic :(
unpopular opinion: idk if it's unpopular but 1) the whole "injury prone" attitude that a lot of social media seems to have is a hard disagree from me :/ two separate injuries (one of which was literally a freak accident in a cage match) don't make someone injury prone imo and i still don't really understand where this whole thing stemmed from. 2) the weird shit about his age is another one i have to disagree with, considering most people are just fine with sooo many other wrestlers in their 40's??

I obviously haven’t really been maintaining this blog for awhile. I’ll still reblog relevant stuff that crosses my dash, but I did quit dancing (not just for the pandemic lol) so, y’know
There were a few reasons I quit:
- It was unhealthy for me to always feel like I needed to prove myself. Which, as a woman who leads as well as follows, was,,,,, a lot of what I felt when I went dancing
- Idk why but I had a ton of trouble *letting things go* in this context. From folks critiquing me who didn’t know what they were talking about (I’m talking about like, men who were *just* learning to follow and didn’t understand how to listen properly and expected me to physically move them around even though I was half their size...), teachers who would ignore my requests to degender the language in their lessons because they didn’t want to “make it political” (........), I have held onto this stuff for years and I just... don’t want to add to the list anymore
- It burnt me out giving it my all trying to degender my surroundings (on a very personal level, since I wasn’t a teacher in my most recent dance community - this just meant basic stuff like seeking out women to dance with even when men were bombarding me with dance requests (that in itself is so exhausting...), letting men practice following me but then seeing them never, ever follow anyone else, etc) and seeing my efforts just completely fail
- to the point about being bombarded with dance requests, I also actually never learned to assert those boundaries properly - in the first dance community I was ever in, I was taught that if you say no to someone, you should sit that whole dance out. Which means if someone asked me to dance multiple times and I didn’t want to, then I just wasn’t going to get to dance for those dances. By the time I figured out that my new community didn’t have that expectation (years into it lol. I literally just assumed they had the same deal going on and it was never clarified explicitly enough for me to realize), it was kinda too late because I was already burnt out for all of these reasons
- it sucked feeling like the folks running the dance scene were incapable of taking the sexism seriously. Like literally they always seem like they don’t think it’s a real problem. Good riddance to them. Congrats on having one less community member
- frankly transportation has always been a big issue. Never had a car here so when all the events for X are super far north or south, I’m gonna have to go to community Y’s events which I like less
And a complete side note since this was never something I noticed personally (I’m white), but one of my Black FB friends has been talking about how she’s quit too because of how racist her experience has been. Just... the whole wider community seems rotten and not worth it in my opinion. Not to mention all the cliquishness and blatant social hierarchy (where teachers and anyone who thinks they’re a hotshot don’t feel like they need to engage with anyone else. I get it on some level because I understand those folks can get mobbed with requests (like I personally put up with because I DIDN’T want to be exclusive), but... yeesh)

this is a little harder, but b/c these are fluffy and not necessarily romantic prompts, maybe fight and inspiration for the littlest clown karako?
my SON of course i will answer for him <3
Fight: What makes them angry? What are they willing to sacrifice their morals for? Do they tend to react first or think first?
He’s generally sensitive to feelings of injustice and feeling helpless. For all that he’s living a relatively sheltered life with the jades, he’s smart enough to realize he’s smaller than his brethren / sistren/ otheren. He’s also a little emotionally sensitive- living with a bunch of reactive, bored, hormonal teenagers (and Lanque) tends to keep you on your toes somewhat- and might lash out when he feels like you’re making fun of him.
As for morals, he’s a bit too young to really have a full grasp on those yet. He’s kind of chilling in the moral realm of the clownsphere and also whatever Bronya implies is right and wrong, so there’s a lot of room for error on his part.
And yes, a lot of room for error. He’s quick to act and generally a little bit out of touch with how alternia is. He can hold himself back for a minute or so, but it’s definitely bubbling up inside him. Luckily, he’s pretty easy to distract and calms down quickly when someone he looks up to is there to set the example.
Inspiration: What inspires them? Are they more inclined towards art or action, or something else? What do they do with their inspiration?
Oof I’ve sort of answered this before and my opinion hasn’t changed much:
Karako is inspired by events and the life around him. He is generally very impressionable, and let’s be real, a bit naive. He has a childlike wonder to him threaded with a very strong thread of wisdom that make his thoughts and ideas feel very deep. He inspires people to look a little more deeply at what is already around them. He also inspires people to.... love him :)
He is also inspired by his church and religion, but mostly because he feels societal pressure and curiosity about something new and exclusive. I think he secretly loves the idea of being coveted regardless of who he is or how small he is. And of course as an honorary jade he would be naturally attracted to family-style dynamics (although the differences between jade family and purple family are stark).
As for art vs action, I think he’s slightly more inspired to act than to brood, but he is eventually drawn to art as well. I haven’t discussed this headcanon much- since I can’t seem to get it organized- but I have this headcanon where Karako is drawn towards shiny beetles because they remind him of godhood. Of course, butterfly and moth wings are more traditionally godlike, but there’s something about the iridescent shine of the beetlewings that attracts him. He makes murals from these sometimes. Idk!

Id like to know more abt this, Dusknoir
Ayyye Dusky
favorite thing about them: baby's first memorable villain, like listen, when you're idk between 11 and 14 you take everything a video game tells you at face value, no "oh ghost types are bastard by nature" bs, so his betrayal hits hard, especially when you're thrown from the colorful past into the greyscale future. Anyway at first you really hate him because there's nothing much more there going on than a bastard who want the world to turn into unmovibg hell so you really hates his guts, and then if you decides to dwelve deeper into the gama and commit to the bonus content, the game pulls a fast one on you by revealing that the guy actually has a sympathetic yet egoistical motive, and isnt like, evil. it's great! baby's first memorable complex villain, especially because there's no retcons or anything, when you go back and play the game aware of what's coming you can still see that his heel-face turn is not out of nowhere. his redemption is also handled pretty well because you see it happens organically on screen sprinkled with some nice life lessons.
least favorite thing about them: this is a me problem but the man makes me read things in french that makes me wanna slap him. Dude talks like a vampire that feeds exclusively on thesaurus
favorite line: "... No. It means nothing to me, unfortunately." IF YOU KNOW YOU KNOW
brOTP: with Dialgaaaa :) dude had a close relationship with a Legendary! (even if it wasnt like. the best relationship), id kill to see how they'd feel about each other now that Dialga has their sanity back
OTP: hahaha poly future trio goes brrrrr
nOTP: extremely not a fan of Dusknoir/Dialga thank you very much
random headcanon: The man took like. every single hobby possible after the events of special episode 5, gotta keep the body moving at all costs. I also like to think he's EXTREMELY into books, especially historical ones.
unpopular opinion: I mostly agree with the general idea other people have with him, I guess my unpopular opinion is that he's a lot more sedentary than either Grovyle or Celebi, exploration-wise, at least after special ep 5, and also keeps things bottled a lot more than either of them
song i associate with them: Black Sheep - Metric! and The Future - Mystery Skulls (tho this is more a future trio thing)
favorite picture of them: the floor is not being straight

Multimuse Opinion Corner - Accepting
@walkingshcdow asked:  BUCKLE UP FOR A MUMU ASK [insert everything below]
Tumblr media
any notps? - Canon compliant Blitzos, as she finds adultery to be disgusting, in addition to there being plenty of other things about him that she wouldn’t like. (Although, she wouldn’t cheat anyway, so she’s not exactly open for shipping.)
any brotps? - Octavia! I’m close with my Mom, so I enjoy it whenever my Stella is able to reconnect with and grow closer to her daughter.
a plot you’ve been dying to do? - Oh, you mean our plot ~ ? Buuuuut I would also love a thread that focuses on exploring Stella’s past, since her upbringing and experiences color a lot of her interactions with others, her beliefs, etc.
Tumblr media
a plot you’ve been dying to do? - Given that my Jon does go through a redemption arc of sorts (at the very least, he stops fear gassing people), I’d love to be able to really write that out with someone - how he realizes he needs to change for the sake of his own mental health, the struggles of changing, what he does after he’s eventually released, etc.
are they canon divergent? - Yep! Unlike his actual Dark Knight trilogy storyline, mine eventually sees that his methods of coping with past traumas are terrible, and he does make an effort to reform. He’s still a gadfly and he’s hardly trusted by most people in Gotham, but he at least stops with the fear gas and tries to get help for himself. A lot of this is because I draw inspiration from other continuities, not just TDK.
do you have multiple verses? - Absolutely! AUs are super fun for me, so Jon shows up quite a bit on the verses page.
Tumblr media
a plot you’ve been dying to do? - Honestly I’m always down for a thread where someone interacts with Nancy’s ghost (given her brutal death combined with how loyal she is to her killer).
are they canon divergent? - I do follow the 1968 movie version of the musical Oliver!, rather than Charles Dickens’s original book. Other than that, I stick with that movie’s portrayal of events pretty closely, aside from my own head canons and such.
do you have multiple verses? - Yes, I do! As with Jon, Nancy has several AUs.
are you selective with this muse? - Nope! I’m happy to write as Nancy with anyone who’s interested in a thread with her.
do you wish you wrote this muse more? - Yes!! I love her.
do you have any mains or exclusives with this muse? - I only ship her with @willkommcn‘s Bill Sikes, though Nancy wouldn’t be open for shipping with anyone but Bill muses even if that wasn’t the case, as she’d never stray.
Tumblr media
a plot you’ve been dying to do? - Less of a plot and more of a “my Herbert as your Frankenstein’s rival / assistant / idk they need to meet” idea, haha!
are they canon divergent? - I’ve only seen the first movie and read the original short story, though aside from “weird med student who raises the dead,” he doesn’t have much of a canon over here.
do you have multiple verses? - He’s on the verses page a couple of times, I think? Generally speaking though I’m happy to develop any verse for any muse.
are you selective with this muse? - Only to the extent that he’s a harder muse for me to write as, so I’d need a plot rather than winging things in most cases.
do you wish you wrote this muse more? - He is fun and unusual, and I want more horror threads in general!
do you have any mains or exclusives with this muse? - He’s @xfaucheuse‘s OC’s cousin! So is Jon, actually.
Tumblr media
favorite non-canon ship for this muse? - I ship my Via with Charlie, and I also like to see her paired with Loona.
any notps? - I’ve always written Octavia as exclusively interested in women, so I won’t ship her with male muses.
any brotps? - I write her as being best friends with Hellsa!
a plot you’ve been dying to do? - Octavia likes to disappear from Hell and explore other worlds. I’d love a thread where she ends up stranded somewhere and needs to find a way home, because even if she threatens to run away, she wouldn’t really want to permanently be apart from her family and friends.
Tumblr media
a plot you’ve been dying to do? - I want to do more with his HH verse. I have a lot of in-depth head canons for it; I’d especially love exploring his dynamic with the rest of he Goetias or his role as a possessor in the human world.
are they canon divergent? - Honestly canon tends to confirm my head canons for Hooty, so I guess he’s pretty canon compliant!
do you have multiple verses? - Absolutely!
do you wish you wrote this muse more? - Hooty’s really easy to write as, so I’m always happy to use him. He’s so fun!

honestly like. i'm of the opinion that gatekeepers are shit especially in the comic (marvel is what i'm thinking abt but i've heard dc goes thru similar) so like. obviously don't feel stressed or outcasted if you're just getting into them, or if you've missed a lot of new ones or if you exclusively read older ones, etc etc etc! but there's a difference between gatekeeping and telling someone you can't call a character that's existed for 60+ years abusive after reading 5 issues of a crossover/event series, or that you can't act offended when someone tells you that you should probably read some of the comics before you make a post like "X CHARACTER WAS ALWAYS LIKE THIS AND NEVER LIKE THAT". like idk. don't ever feel discouraged from reading comics, i can't speak for everyone but i am so glad to get new readers n new fans and new people to talk to! but also don't act like u have an authority over a character or team if you've read them in exactly one crossover event where even your own characters were ooc, you know?

About the justice system of HP...
Now I don’t think I’ve seen enough people addressing this, but, the prison and justice system of the magical society is insanely stupid and inhuman.
Let me elaborate:
About justice, I think we can say the two most known examples are the British Ministry and the MACUSA.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I don't want to extend myself, but lets focus on two main events that show us how fucking wild justice is for the magic kind:
Newts and Tina's execution order: No need of explanation. They just had a little chit-chat with Grindelwald using Graves handsome face and after this they are sentenced to death. No trial, no defence, not nothing. They are sent to their deaths right away. (Really, I don't know if this was common for the no-maj system too in those times but???). Now, you might think, oooookey. Death sentence. They must have a pious method, something... magical? Maybe, to make it quick and painless. But apparently, in just another example of how the magic kind are not less dispiteous and cruel than the muggle kind, it is not. BECAUSE IT SEEMS THAT THEY FUCKING MENTALLY MANIPULATE PEOPLE TO GET SUBMERGED IN FUCKING ACID. Like, wtf, man, are you serious?!! They just send people to fucking melt in that damn pit of “Death Potion” while making them “have happy thoughts” without a second thought. (And no, I don’t think the part about using the most precious memories of the condemned makes it better). Maybe it's just the shitty script but, damn.
Tumblr media
Oh, according to the writer of this Reddit post, this method, “references the Salem Witch Trials, involving being submerged underwater and pronounced a witch, if the accused floated.” This is just... a curious fact, btw.
Tumblr media
It’s mentioned too, that this was actually a reference to “how British people view the American government- we're a nation that hands out the death sentence like candy when compared to the European nation.” But just as I say later, Azkaban looks pretty much like a death sentence too, at least to me.  Sirius-fucking-Black: I can't start telling you how painful is to me to remember the injustice that ruined this man's life. How much it breaks, burns and tears apart my heart and soul. He was framed, yes, but it was really the Ministry fault that Peter fucking succeeded. Like, AGAIN, what about a fucking proper trial, man? There wasn’t one. (Apparently, there wasn’t many in war-time, so Deatheaters coulnd’t manipulate the court, but… what a tactic). They found a man in the scene, laughing (probably because of the shock, I think he didn’t thought Peter was capable of what he just saw, he’s horrified, some people laugh when they are in shock, damn it), they say “it’s nuts, its guilty, put him in Azkaban” and THATS IT. They could have tried with Veritaserum once he had calmed down a bit, they could have used a Pensieve to see what really happened. But no. Now, I don’t want to talk about Azkaban yet, but we know the only thing that kept him sane was to think about his innocence and I think there are enough info and theories about how being in his animagus form helped him going unnoticed to the dementors and later, to escape.
Tumblr media
Now, how is that fair? He was an innocent man, among many others, I’m sure. I’m serious. With such system, who knows how many innocents where isolated in Azkaban during “war times”? We just need to think about the Second Wizarding War when so many muggle born and blood traitors were sent there. How many were left to serve as fucking appetizers to the Dementors?
But not only that. let me continue.
There are two known prisons: Azkaban for British wizarding criminals and Nurmengard, wich... well, apparently was exclusive for Grindelwald?
Lets talk about Azkaban first: It’s a fucking isolated island, used as prison since 1718, employing Dementors as guards. According to Sirius, most prisoners went insane after a short while, and some even stopped eating, preferring death to their lives within Azkaban. As it seems, each prisoner is in secluded cells. So they have only the Dementors to interact with. If the Wizarding world had anything like the fucking UN, they would be horrified by so many fucking  broken human rights. I mean, to me it sounds like Azkaban is for itself a death sentence.
Tumblr media
This brings me to another question: what happens with the minor criminals? What happens with thieves, scammers, etc,? Are they sent to Azkaban for just a short period of time? Because, according to the books, Azkaban can turn a man in to a demented in a few weeks. A simple pickpocket deserves that? I don’t think I have found anything about that (if you do, please tell me).
The worst is that, in almost 300 years, the only one who apparently tried to do something about Azkaban was Eldritch Diggory, around the 18th century. And nothing else until the end of the SWW. What the fuck.
There’s not much to say about Nurmengard. We know it was where Grindelwald was imprisoned (a sad fate, to be locked up in your own fucking fortress). Many will be of the opinion that he deserved what he got but… It’s still unethical and immeasurably pitiless, if you ask me. He was kept alive for fifty-three years, yet… he was absolutely isolated, with (at least so it seems) no means of entertainment. It’s implied that he regretted his actions at some point but, for what? If you ask me, it would have been more merciful to kill him sooner.

Idk what do you think but, the wizarding world needs to improve a lot of things, beyond his fucking pro-slavery and racists ways. Excuse my funny grammar. And please, if anything needs correction you can say it.

Vent/Rant post about Witchtok idk
Tw: CSA/Grooming mention
((TLDR: Witchtok seemed fun at first but pretty soon showed a very ugly side of itself that puts kids in danger. Meanwhile 'experienced' witches are out there are putting dangerous misinformation about religious practices. +Also a personal rant about how this whole thing has put me off from talking about my own practices with Pan.))
I've been a somewhat active "tiktoker" for a few months. I only really posted videos of my artwork and whatnot to sort of gain some traction and sell commissions, which was great! I met a lot of really cool people, and made some really sweet friends within the small community of artists on tiktok... And then I found the Witchtok tag.
At first I was uniquely excited, it was really cool to see other witches actively show off how proud they were of their craft and their religious practices. I saw lots of pretty good advice, and for me at least, it was absolutely wonderful to see how different and unique each person experienced their craft. I feel stupid now in hindsight for thinking this, but I genuinely felt something with how fun and welcoming Witchtok seemed to be.
And then all of sudden it became a fucking train wreck. There are lots of things wrong with Witchtok: Cultural appropriation, online harassment, misinformation, people throwing around hexing accusations with no proof, etc etc. A lot of really dumb shit. At first I was able to ignore it, because surely people will be smart enough to do their own research and not trust some random person on tiktok about entire religions, right? And then I realized how dumb I was for thinking that. There are people on Witchtok touting themselves as being experienced witches who are experts in everything spiritual, and beginning practitioners are going to naturally look up to them as positions of authority to consult on matters that they might not even be in the position to be consultants of. So many of these people are actual children too, and its become a very scary situation with how out of control it has become. I think the breaking point for me was the issues surrounding that,,, "Medusa" tiktoker who began trying to groom minors for illicit photos. I just couldn't do it anymore with Witchtok, that was too much. It already hurt a lot to see so many experienced witches actively condemn and shame children for not knowing better, but that entire thing just proved to me that too many people within the Witchtok community DO NOT CARE about protecting or educating each other. They all just want to one up each other in this imaginary game of who's the most correct, meanwhile AN ONLINE CULT WAS LITERALLY BEGINNING TO FORM, I'M JUST,, AT A LOSS FOR WORDS.
There's so much to unpack, especially from my perspective as a Hellenic Pagan who's worshiping Pan. I'm going to get quite personal but it's been on my mind and I need to share it for my own sake. Up until recent events, I was beginning to consider participating in the Witchtok community because I really do enjoy sharing things about my path, especially my relationship with Pan. I love sharing the things that I learn, and I want to record all of it as I go, so that one day I can look back and see how far I've come in my journey. My time with Pan has not only helped me grow spiritually, but my overall outlook on the world around me has changed for the better. To illustrate better what I mean by this, I am a CSA survivor, and for most of my life, sex fulfilment and healthy love were things I fundamentally believed I didn't deserve. By the time I approached adulthood, I had already accepted that I would never be able to enjoy sex or feel the kind of love I wanted. Pan at this point has obviously proven me wrong. He helped work through my trauma, he taught me that sex can not only be safe but exciting, and he showed me that my body isn't something to be ashamed of. Needless to say, my relationship with a deity heavily associated with sex and fertility is OBVIOUSLY intimate.
So it really fucking hurts when I see my fellow pagan peers tell me that my relationship with Pan isn't real, and that my practices based on tradition that I spent MONTHS researching before I started is just me being a 'stupid baby witch.' Or worse when people tell me that I should FEAR my God, my God who has done nothing but treat me with kindness and love throughout my entire time with him. Or even worse, when people who think that because they read up on a little mythology, they can tell me my God is a r*pist, and that I'm wrong for having a close and friendly bond with him. It's almost laughable how so much of what Witchtok considers to be "the right way to worship deities" is exactly what Pan would've hated if I behaved the way they deem to be correct.
Pan would HATE it if I was never friendly and comfortable around him. He is known for having a unique sense of humor, why wouldn't his followers be able to do the same? Obviously there are boundaries, but any deity including Pan will set up said boundaries when necessary. He loves when his followers are silly and playful! He loves when we explore ourselves in ways that are happy and healthy, whether spiritually, sexually, or physically! He loves when we let ourselves loosen up and forget about our chains, even for just a moment! If I talked at all about my practices with him I can guarantee Witchtok would eat me alive. To be honest, I wouldn't put it past them if the collective opinion of Witchtok was that he's dead because it says so in myth.
In retrospect, I'm very glad I chose to stay away from Witchtok, not only would I not be welcome, but children are watching. I feel like not enough people are thinking of that, and that's terrifying. I can't imagine how guilty I'd feel if I put something out there that was misinformed, or even DANGEROUS, and kids were seeing it. I just couldn't bear it. As an artist I'll continue to post videos on tiktok exclusively about my art, but I can't in good conscience post anything there regarding my religious practices. Which honestly saddens me, so much of my practice involves me drawing and painting works involving what Pan looks like to me, and I would've loved to show off that artwork had it not been for the absolute shit show I've been exposed to.
So in conclusion, Witchtok is fuckin yikes man.
