Had DnD on the mind recently after a couple posts about it popped up on my dash, so I figured I'd share the ref sheet for a character I hoped to play soon (enlarge to banish the blur)

His name is Cariton Corbett and he's like if Jekyll and Hyde were a really wretched little priest

Never known peace in his life tbh. He's a grave cleric for a Bloodborne inspired campaign one of my DnD friends was cooking up (hopefully that's still in the cards lol.) It took forever to get a solid design idea, but then I picked MHR back up and uh

"What if I combined a tailcoat with a cassock > you're a pain in my ass but you and your upgraded armor are so cool > hey what if I added inverted cathedral window shapes and cobweb tassels"

#he is soooooo prematurely grey #also yes his name is cariton corbett (car-iton corvette) because i think its funny #hes only supposed to have one gauntlet. i forgot and added a second aosjosns but thats his shield arm he doesnt need it #anyway hopefully the campaign is still on but our track record hasnt been great lately lmao fingers crossed #(i am not hiding the idea for a revivication campaign in my pocket what)#(ive co dmed two campaigns and multiple one shots i have that down at least #anyway not putting this in the tag i dont feel like it lmao #i will put it in #the jackdaw treasury #now theres a tag i havent used in a while #anyway i should probably level out the front of his coat the v shape was an accidental design stage carryover #forgot i was supposed to change it #hes sopping wet and pathetic but hell also hit you with 'mercy is my lords job mine is to send you to him'#absolutely wretched little half starved feral guy #also i should note NO he doesnt have lil flames on his boots #that is grave dirt but everything was already black and i needed a different color #otherwise id forget hes fucking dirty

#dungeon meshi #izutsumi #marcille donato #chilchuk tims #I still stand by my tags on the Izutsumi character study piece I did in January - but I will repeat myself on a few lines here:#I *really* love this character. I love that all of the dungeon meshi crew are complicated and have difficult to love components.#But Izutsumi is a particular kind of hard to love. I foresee a lot of people being turned off by her abrasiveness and lack of teamwork.#She is very self-centered and openly goes against what the party agrees on.#She's a picky eater in a story that is 50% about eating good and healthy food!#It is in part about her growth but admittedly even *then* she remains rather true to her self-centeredness.#Even though she isn't as nice or funny or compassionate as the others...Izutsumi is still someone worth loving.#Even the more difficult people are someone worth loving.#And those people in turn are people who have something and someone they love.#She may be a girlcat but she is the most human of them all.#I hope that if you are an anime only watcher and are feeling put off by her at the moment; you'll give her a chance.#By the way: *yes* I worked very hard to draw that skateboard pose. It was worth it.#EDIT: HAPPY 500th POST OF POORLY-DRAW-MDZS!!! What a comic to commemorate the milestone with!

Funny things I found out playing with language setting in Netflix while looking episode 15:

Chilchuck's scream sounds HAUNTED in brazilian portuguese. Give it a try if you can.

In spanish dub, Senshi says: "tocó mis senos de hombre", which means "he touched my man boobs" in Spanish. And I think that's the best dub line one so far.

as a kid i thought i would graduate from kid problems like cleaning my room to adult problems like jobs and taxes. but instead i have a job and taxes and still have to clean my room. cleaning my room is a lifetime problem. i will never stop having to put my markers away before bedtime. this is a rude way for aging to work.
