#i really enjoy the idea of service pokemon

Someone in a discord server I'm in shared a link of different drawings of service Pokemon; and honestly, if I was in the Pokemon world, I'd want one that was physically strong enough to carry me if I fell, passed out, or was having too much pain that day;
So I drew a Machoke with a service vest. I like the idea that I had this Machoke before shit hit the fan and he took it upon himself to help, so we made the vest together and he put the different patches on. The hat on top says 'Pokemon At Work', with the patch saying 'DO NOT DISTRACT'; He's blue skinned with his vest being tones of grey, with orange stripes for catching others attention.

my @mcytblrholidayexchange gift for @onawhimsicot! i decided to go with a pokemon au, explanation of their teams below!
tallulah's team:
galarian weezing: this is a gift from wilbur! it's essentially a service pokemon for tallulah, as galarian weezing purifies the air around it, making it easier for her to breath
chimecho: tallulah's partner pokemon! i like to imagine they met when tallulah was playing some music by phil's house and they've been together ever since
carnivine: on the wiki it said that tallulah had several venus fly traps, so i decided to give her a carnivine! carnivine was one of the first pokemon she caught, with her and chayanne spending a long time staked out in a swamp to find one
eevee: my friend roleb suggested eevee! she really seems like she would have one aksjdfhlaksdf eevee and carnivine get along really well! no idea what it would evolve into though lol
flabebe: i think chayanne and tallulah found this flabebe injured during their journey and immediately got attached while nursing it back to health! more flowers for tallulah askjfhskladf
pumpkaboo: a gift from chayanne! i imagine she hangs out with pumpkaboo when she's feeling lonely
chayanne's team:
lechonk: he has this for technoblade related reasons aklsdfhlkasdfha
capsakid and farfetch'd: these two are together as they're both cooking themed pokemon! i imagine the farfetch'd was a gift from philza and chayanne just woke up one night to capsakid staring him down and was like yeah alright. farfetch'd also evolves into sirfetch'd, which is part of the little knight motif i wanted to have for chayanne
riolu: another suggestion from roleb! this is chayanne's main partner, and he's a very fighty lil guy
charcadet: knight motif part two! charcadet also provides some needed firepower for chayanne's team composition which is something i imagine chayanne is concerned about
absol: this is actually one of phil's pokemon! he sent it along with chayanne and tallulah to keep an eye on them because absol can sense danger
pokemon not pictured but still a part of this au:
phil's rookidee: it's brian! he takes messages between tallulah and chayanne and phil
phil's darkrai: tallulah and chayanne's babysitter when they were little
phil's tatsugiri and dondozo: i nearly gave tallulah and chayanne these two before deciding to keep their teams small and mostly in the baby stage, but i like to think phil let them play with them sometimes
unrelated trivia:
you may be asking "mags, why is chayanne's floatie a ducklett and not a psyduck" i am a dipshit who forgot psyduck existed
you may also be asking "mags, aren't overalls bobby's thing" by the time i remembered that i was already halfway through lineart
the plot of this au is tallulah and chayanne going on their pokemon adventure while dealing with the villainous federation. tallulah is doing concerts while chayanne goes through the gym challenge!
hope you enjoy!

What's your pokemon party like? Do all your mons get along? I think Juice's name is really cute lmaoo
Pretty well, I think! Everyone is laid-back (except Klefki, lmao) which is purposeful on my part, since I prefer a calmer household. I think it’s important to keep in mind how complementary personalities are as well as species and type etc
Tumblr media
Here’s everyone hangin out :] Jingle (klefki) and Lala (chimecho) are two mons who like constant social feedback, so they’re both very happy to be conversational partners lol
Sorbet (espeon) was my starter and later became my service pokemon, and though he’s got plenty of tasks to keep him busy, bringing in Sci-fi (elgyem) as a playmate is something I definitely don’t regret. I think psychic types do well with having another pokemon that interacts with the world and thinks like they do since they can get bored so easily.
Juice (corsola) has an inexplicable thirst for SPEED and DANGER despite being a Rock who can only go .4 mph on her own, I promise she’s safe and having a blast being their ball and probably is wishing they were throwing her into the ceiling for real
And Cardigan (wooloo) is just… happy to be here lol. The party is his flock, and he follows everyone around to stand next to despite having 0 idea what’s going on ever and probably thinks all of his friends are weirdly shaped wooloos
Tbh I don’t think any party is without SOME arguments and bad days! sometimes Jingle can overwhelm or annoy the other guys; sometimes Cardigan is Not in the mood to play “Sci-Fi alien kidnaps Cardigan” etc etc but generally everyone enjoys each other’s company and things are harmonious over here :]]

I have no idea what happens in the pmd explorers games, would you say my lack of knowledge of the original story is preferred for reading obt, or would it be better if I had already experienced eos’s story?
// oooo a fun question! I like to think that OBT can offer some new and subversive elements for old fans of explorers, but I try to make it accessible to folks unfamiliar with the games as well. really I'd say the only risk is potentially getting "spoiled" in comment sections for future plot points (or through my ooc asks and tags and such). though since OBT hardly follows the games anyway outside of using them as a skeleton, it's hard to predict which way things will go. (also I'm of the thought that spoiler culture is often exploitative on behalf of streaming services that want you to Pay Money As Soon As Possible Otherwise You'll Get Spoiled, where a truly good piece of media should still be good even with spoilers. but that's a completely different tangent LMAO)
I'd also like to say OBT could in theory be enjoyed by non-pokemon fans as well, but so far I'm 0 for 2 on that one with my mom and a family friend as my judge of that. they were very confused, but liked the colors LMAO. it was really this in action

I just got a Gastly from a friend. How do I take care of Gastly and Haunter and Gengar??? They aren't native to my area and I've never had an amorphous or poison or ghost type before.
Gastly. A tricky pokemon, though not without its sweet side.
General notes: A ghost/poison type, this line does require a lot of care and attention, but rewards loyalty with lifelong devotion. And beyond.
General care: This line doesn't require normal food, being classed as a vitavore. In other words, it takes sustenance from the life energy of those around it. Thankfully, unlike poor pokemon like greavard, this line has some level of control, and doesn't seem to require much. Still, it's a good idea to maintain your own health as well.
Gastly and haunter in particular require good ventilation, as though you'd need to stick your head right in a gastly to get really sick, the lingering fumes can cause headaches. However, be careful with this, as gastly struggle in strong breezes, which dissipate its form. A strong enough gust can even fatally injure it. Ideally, it should be kept inside on windy days.
Haunters are very light sensitive, but unlike zubats, never really get used to it. They really do need darkness to be comfortable. Blackout curtains in a spare room or a well ventilated attic are good places for a haunter to roam free when not in its pokeball. They have a bad reputation for stalking but really just like following people. (Admittedly sometimes because starling strangers is funny) If you ever stay up late, it will follow along behind you.
Be very careful of the entire lines saliva. It's strongly poisonous.
Gengar is much more solid and sturdy, though still fairly lightweight despite its size. They're heat sinks, and absorb ambient warmth. They can't control this, you may have to get used to wearing warm clothing. Gengar enjoy playing in shadows, and may tag along in yours.
Ghost pokemon often have different needs to other pokemon, but their basic care tends to be simple, as few need to eat or sleep.
This line is functionally immortal, so I would advise having a plan for what to do with them once you pass on. Care rating: Green
Training: It's vital to remember that this line rewards loyalty and kindness. And harshly punishes neglect or cruelty. A well cared for gengar with a strong bond to its trainer is mischievous and playful, being careful with its life drain. A bitter, angry gengar is lethally dangerous.
These pokemon are loyal to a fault, and cemetaries have a reputation for being haunted, not by the ghosts of the departed, but often by pokemon in this line, unwilling to leave behind their departed master. Socializing them and encouraging them to be friendly with other humans is a very good idea, as this makes it easier for them to move on and live a happier life rather then sheltering under gravestones for centuries. Training rating: Green
Safety:
Wild members of this line should be avoided unless you're trying to catch one, and even then, do this in company. Though they acclimatize well to captivity, the wild ones can cause serious harm.
This lines saliva is dangerous, causing convulsions and heart palpitations upon skin contact. Wear long sleeves and other body covering clothes when handling them in case of accidental contact. In case of contact to others, wash it off with water immediately if it is safe to do so, and contact emergency services. In case of contact to yourself, it is recommended to have a medic alert bracelet if you live alone, so you can activate it between convulsions. If possible, recall your pokemon into its ball to keep the paramedics safe, as it may be panicky and reactive.
This is not a line that is safe for children, the elderly, or people with underlying health conditions, though much of the danger can be mitigated with good training and socialization. Safety rating: Red
Overall ranking. A decent ghost type, but one you need to be alert and present for.

Heya... Mars here. This is a little awkward, but Miss Cynthia seems to think it's a good idea, so... FAQ??
Q: Team Galactic? The doomsday cult?
A: It's not a cult anymore! We've been busting our butts in that court mandated therapy!
Q: Why are you still around?
A: We just want to fix things. The Champion and Cynthia did a really big favor, keeping us out of Forever Jail. Plus, some of us didn't have anywhere else to go. There's only about... 33 of us now?
Q: Why is Mars running this shebang? Wasn't she like, bottom of the totem pole.
A: Rude. But true. Saturn is technically in charge, but he's... not been doing too well. Can't blame him, really. It's a miracle he lasted this long. Jupiter went to Hoenn to work at some space place because we kind of ran out of money. So that leaves little old Mars! Jupiter thinks shes superior still, but I'm not the one with a live in Interpol agent.
Q: What do you even do?
A: Classic community service stuff. Also, working on reuniting stolen Pokémon. And cleaning up the lakes after the whole bomb thing. That was Jupiters idea, by the way. NOT mine. Oh, and about half the grunts have day jobs, for previously stated broke reasons. Saturn does some online coding stuff that I don't understand in the slightest.
Q: Is Cyrus alive?
A: I don't know.
cassini starts another blog, part... 11??? main blog @plasmaapologist blah blah blah. i could use this app to get an autism diagnosis i think
this blog is based on an au of my own dppt interpretation/au. it is canon based but not compliant. ye have been warned. blog will deal with heavy topics from time to time, all will be tagged
- the plot was that of platinum, for the most part
few things to note:
- this blog takes place very closely after dppt. only the events of kanto, johto, and hoenn have happened. asks relating to things in the other games will be answered, but will likely be met with confusion
- the start of this blog is 5-6 months after the events of the game
- charon does not exist. hes stupid and i dont like him. 👎
- lucas is the champion, dawn is the professors assistant
- dawn is probably one of my most heavily headcanoned characters. just a warning ♡
- despite being based on platinum, lucas failed to capture giratina. he later gained the trust of dialga, though their relationship is more of friends than pokemon and master.
- mars and saturn genuinely have good intentions. however please feel free to accuse them of otherwise. (jupiters only acting good to stay out of jail)
reoccurring characters blah blah blah. you know them but i thrust my headcanon upon ye
mars: she/her, 20. main poster. interim leader while saturn recovers. trying her best
saturn: he/him, 26. may occasionally post. not currently acting as leader after a mental breakdown, but still handles finances and does announcements when he can.
jupiter: she/her, 28. currently working at mossdeep space center in hoenn under the very careful eye of interpol. she never actually cared about team galactic, but its keeping her out of jail...
---------------------------------------------------
lucas: he/him, 14. current champion of sinnoh. has been helplessly busy since becoming acting champion. someone give this man a break, please. hes got a bit of a hero complex now. enjoys hanging out with barry and dawn when hes free, which often puts him around team galactic when hes with the latter.
dawn: she/her, 13. professor rowan's assistant. a quiet girl with a melancholic side; her real passion is art, but no one seems to appreciate it. has an odd but strong friendship with mars, and likes helping out.
barry: he/him, 14. impatient as ever. does not get why his friends want to help those galactic freaks so much!? why can't we beat them up and put them in jail forever?!?! main goal: blow up beat his father in battle
cynthia: she/her, 34. former champion of sinnoh. trying to enjoy her newfound free time, but she's been tasked with keeping an eye on team galactic. she secretly doesn't mind, and has developed a friendship with saturn. she wants to visit unova sometime soon, but she's just so busy...
professor rowan: he/him, old. early 60s? haven't decided. it's the professor, man. pretty much dawns main family, since her actual one doesn't seem fond of her. he doesn't really like her hanging with former terrorists, but also, doesn't want to control her.

Mind if I share some sid canon on you then: maya's main goal is to introduce pokemon as support helpers for physical and mental issues. Maya herself is a test for this, she has severe (though treated and medicated) anxiety and sid is her support, he signals when she's about to have an attack and get her out of the situation and calm her. Her ogerpon is also in training for it. What do you think?
//I actually really like that! I enjoy the idea that there's support Pokémon out there. It's like how there's service dogs and support animals in real life.
Maya wanting to have some Pokémon as support helpers is actually a really cool thing for the Pokémon world and I would love to see something like that in canon.
Honestly if I were a trainer in the Pokémon world, I'd want a Trapinch for support. They're friend shaped little guys who have a cool shiny and a sick evolution (the Flygon line are some of my favorite Pokémon)
Also Sid is best boy :D

Dried Mushroom: Do Not Drink
heyyyyyyyy this started as me being being in @r0-boat ‘s ask box and I wrote it. Planning on doing a part two. This is also posted on my AO3, nasabasa
I’ll come back and fix formatting when I’m on my laptop
Content-Trigger warnings: drugging, kidnapping, manipulation/gaslighting, volo is not a nice man
reblogs greatly appreciated | kofi tips greatly appreciated
"Ah- there's my favorite customer!"
I jump, turning without a thought to face the voice--
"Hello, Volo," I sigh, my blood rushing in my ears starting to soften as the prospect of something dangerous around me leaves my thoughts.
"Out late tonight, are we?"
Volo smiles down at me, his look always a bit bewildered, the dim but illuminated night only reflecting a psychotic grey.
"I meant to head back to a camp earlier but time got away from me," I politely laugh, crossing my arms over myself; the chill of the night making itself known as my hair raises on my skin.
"Ah, that's understandable," Volo relaxes a little, his gaze a bit less intense, "I have set up my own camp for tonight, would you like to accompany me?"
He looks deranged right now but it's better than an alpha tearing us apart.
"Sure," I smile, his hand outstretched to take my own- taking his and immediately being led along.
"I'm afraid the path is a bit muddy, do tell me if you start to get dirtied up."
I hum in response, his hand notably warm as I subconsciously squeeze it, the night chilly and calm. The mud is very real, sticking to my shoes in an uncomfortable weight; the coolness of night just enough to make the mud a bit more unbearable, the chill seeping through to my feet.
"This mud is horrible," I quietly grumble, trudging my feet along, following his steps in an attempt to not sink too far into the mud.
"I have no idea what has made it so unbearable around here," Volo comments, stopping ahead of me, "How bad are your shoes?"
"They're... not great."
"Here."
Volo pulls me closer to him, the mud getting deeper than before- picking me up and holding me against his chest.
"Like a bride."
That is the creepiest thing you could have said in this situation.
I shoot him a look, meeting his exposed eye- a laugh leaving him.
"I'm teasing."
The not-so-great noise of the trudging through mud is one of the only sounds as Volo tightly holds me, his grip strong and sure.
"You didn't need to do this..."
"I can't have you getting sick from a chill, now can I?" Volo notes, softly glancing at me.
I hum, resting my head against his shoulder without thinking as my eyes slip shut.
"Has your research been going well?" Volo asks.
"I... Yeah, it has," I sigh, exasperated.
"Hmm, that's not your normal tone; what's the matter?"
"Do you know me that well now?"
"I would say so, now answer me."
I open my eyes, watching the trees move past us--
This camp is pretty far away.
"I just don't... really want to do it. I do it because I have to, you know? I'm doing it so I can live comfortably, not because I want to."
Volo knowingly hums, readjusting me in his arms.
"I completely understand; what would you do instead of this?"
"I haven't given it much thought..." I trail off, catching myself to think for a moment.
What would I do?
"I think I would like to just.. live, you know? Having a library, maybe a garden, taking care of myself and my pokemon... I think that would sound nice."
Volo hums in agreement, his grip on me tightening.
"Do you enjoy staying in Jubilife?"
"Well. I wouldn't say it's bad, but I don't like really... being around people," I admit.
Volo hums again, glancing down at me and meeting my gaze for a moment; there is something that Volo is always hiding, it feels, but it feels more dubious than normal- perhaps the customer service persona is wearing off for tonight.
"We're almost there."
I close my eyes again, deeply sighing as I relax against him; a twinge of anxiousness in my chest from the newfound intimacy of the situation.
"Here."
I open my eyes as Volo sets me down, sitting me down on a cloth as he kneels before me, taking off my muddied shoes.
"Make sure you stay close to the fire."
I nod as he turns his attention back to other matters, my own mind wandering as a sleepiness settles on me.
"Are you feeling alright?"
"Yeah... well, just. Tired."
"Understandable."
A blanket startles me as it rests on my shoulders, Volo adjusting it to wrap around me.
"Volo?”
"Hm?”
“Could I just... rant to you, for a moment?"
"Of course," Volo smiles at me, returning to the pot of water on the fire.
"I'm really emotionally tired over being physically tired; I can always sit down and take a second to breathe, but I can't get out of my own head to relax."
I pause as I look up, Volo offering me a cup.
"Tea?"
I rest the tea in my lap, the warmth of the cup soothing my chilled hands, Volo sitting beside me.
"Continue."
"I'm just really tired of doing everything for everyone. I don't want to sound greedy or like a jerk, but I never feel like I get to do stuff for me. I'm always working. I suppose that's how you are as well."
"I can definitely say I understand the sentiment."
I pause for a moment, contemplating on his tone; his voice changed from the overly friendly smile tainted tone to a more relaxed one, his voice a little deeper and raspy.
"I really just don't want to work just to survive, although that does seem to be the option presented…
I want to be taken care of, I guess. Not dependent, but I don't have to be so self-sufficient. I want someone I can lean on and have with me.
I am getting very tired of being a strong independent woman and I want to simply be a rock."
Volo laughs, taking a sip of his tea, his smile still not leaving his face for a moment.
"I think you should be able to desire a more relaxed life; Mistress Cogita certainly is self-sufficient while not working herself to death."
"Yeah but I'm convinced she's a witch."
Volo laughs again, leaning a little closer to me.
"She might be but don't tell anyone else I told you that."
I giggle, finally taking a sip of my tea.
"This is really good, Volo," I quietly praised him, our closeness sinking in.
"Thank you; I hope it warms you up enough."
I hum in response, his shoulder resting against mine.
"I guess I just feel a little worn down, a little tired of everything that doesn't appreciate me back."
"Mhmm," Volo takes a sip of his tea, "I know for a fact you shouldn't have to work yourself to death to live; you, of all people, should enjoy life for what you can make of it."
I blush at the directness, turning my gaze away from him.
"I mean it; you're one of the bravest, strongest people in all of Hisui and I'm sure it feels like the world is on your shoulders, doesn't it?"
I nod.
Volo moves closer to me, carefully pulling me to him, careful of the tea.
"You should be allowed to have a warm home with someone who loves you. You shouldn't have to pick survival for that to happen."
A wave of vulnerability crashes into me, a quiet sniffle escaping me.
"I'm sure your pokemon would enjoy a break too."
I nod, unable to trust in the stability of my voice, leaning against Volo.
"Oh come here, hand me your tea; it's alright, I have you," He quietly soothes me, holding me against his chest as I bury my face into the fabric of the coat.
"You would enjoy having someone to share dinner with, wouldn't you? Someone to hold you when your body is too tired for its own bones."
I nod against him, one of his hands gently cradling my head.
"I promise you there is someone."
I hopelessly hum, Volo readjusting me to sit on his lap properly, gently stroking my hair.
"How about you finish your tea? Perhaps that'll help you a little."
Volo hands me my tea as he readjusts me- again- to face the fire, his front against my back in a comforting weight and heat. I sip on the tea as I slowly relax against Volo, his hands naturally wrapping around me and holding me against him, a sleepy haze finding home in my head.
I jump as lips touch my ear, Volo firmly holding me against him as he softly kisses my ear.
"Oh don't worry, dear. I have you."
"Volo- what are you-"
"Have you finished your tea yet? It really doesn't need to get cold."
He's right.. right?
I hum, continuing to drink the tea as I pull my legs to me, trying to keep my warmth to myself as Volo continues to hold me, effectively trapping me with him.
"Thank you," I smile, lightly slurring my words together-
You're not this tired, what's going on?
"Volo?..."
"Yes, dear?"
I nonsensically hum as I try to wiggle out of his grasp, his grip lessening.
"Where do you think you're going?"
"I... I don't wan-na ..be here," I stumble, trying to shake the tiredness away-
You were never this tired- what did he give you-
"Darling, don't say things like that," Volo coos, standing and following my unsuccessful stumbling.
"What-did- did you do--to me?"
"I didn't do anything, dearest,"
"Stop-calling.. me that."
I shakily walk forward, trying to identify his footprints leading to the camp-
"You told me that's what you liked being called," Volo pathetically says, hurt.
"I.. No?"
The sounds around me mesh together for a moment of panicked blur, the environment surrounding simply blurring together into nonsensical shapes-
A hand suddenly grabbing me, roughly pulling me backwards- landing against Volo as a hand covers my mouth.
"There's an alpha nearby, you know."
I squeal, trying to thrash against an iron grip as he lifts me up, covering my mouth with a sure hand.
"Now now, don't make me gag you."
My clothes burn against my skin as I continue jerking, Volo effortlessly carrying me to his mat, gently laying me down whilst pinning me down.
"I really didn't want to bruise your pretty skin, darling."
I scream as his hand leaves my mouth, his irritated growl not escaping me as his hand wraps around my throat.
"Do that again and I kill you."
A weak sob leaves me as I go limp against the mat, his strength outmatching my own.
"Now now, I didn't want to do that," Volo coos, his hand cupping my face.
"I'm-sorry," I slur, tears blurring my vision more than before, "I'll be-good- don't-hurt me."
"Darling, I have never hurt you," He places a kiss on my cheek, "I promised you that a long time ago, remember?"
Remember?
"N-no..."
Volo sighs as he straddles me, his touch gentle and knowing.
"Your memory has been getting the best of you recently, but I'm here to take care of you, alright?"
I nod.
"Good; I hope one of the clan members didn't drug you, I have no idea how you could be acting like this otherwise."
Tears stream off of my face, my gut twisting in confusion and betrayal-
What's going on?
"Oh goodness," Volo wipes away my tears with his thumbs, "How about we go home? It's always more comfortable to sleep with you, dear."
I nod.
"Just relax... I'll carry you home."
I nod.
A whimper escapes me as I readjust, my body heavy against the bedding.
"There you are," Volo's voice soothes me, his hands running down my arms, "Is this better?"
I weakly nod, not opening my eyes as I try to snuggle closer to the warmth beside me.
"Your Pokémon are very worried; I had to give them a supply of berries to calm them down," Volo quietly says, his breath tickling my neck.
I moan, I think.
"I'll be here until you wake up, darling."
mhmm.
"Volo?"
"Good morning, darling."
What?
I blink slowly, letting reality set in for a moment, the sun streaming into a window onto the floor in front of me.
"Would you like me to close the curtains?"
"What's going on?"
"We're home, darling."
"What are you talking about?" I breathlessly ask, pulling myself up in the bed.
Volo looks over at me, a warmth in his gaze that could be mistaken for fire, letting itself make its mark in my soul.
"I brought you home last night; I hate to say it, but I believe you could have been drugged."
I groan, rubbing my forehead for a moment, memories falling but out of their places, not quite making sense but not wrong enough to dispute.
"I don't feel good..."
Volo hums, pulling the curtain halfway shut, coming to the edge of the bed and sitting beside me.
"How about you lay down and I'll bring you some tea?"
"I don't think I can stomach anything," I groan, his hand on my shoulder pushing me down to the mattress again, "Why didn't you take me to jubilife?"
"Because, you've told me multiple times that it's too crowded for you, how it's too noisy, so I brought you here."
Did I?
"Okay..."
Volo readjusts the blankets, pulling them up enough to cover me again, a weight at my foot alarming me.
"What's-"
"Your Pokémon were very worried about you, dear, so I brought them out so they could watch you."
right...
"Now, I do need to go to work, but I have food and supplies here for you. You do need to rest today, alright?"
"What about survey work?.."
Volo chuckles, stroking my hair,
"You don't need to worry about that, darling," He whispers close to my ear- a gentle kiss startling me.
"We aren't together, Volo.."
"Yes, we are."
His tone is pointed, cutting sharply through the peace.
"Are we?..."
"Yes, darling; I do hope whatever you ingested doesn't hurt you any further. It pains me to hear those things."
Volo gently kisses my cheek, stroking my hair,
"I need to go now, I love you, darling."
what?
"Darling? Why didn't you say it back?" Volo painfully asks after a pregnant silence.
"I love you, too," I say after a moment, his finger gently tilting up my chin, my eyes opening again to meet his.
"Be good today; I'll try to be home early, alright?" His gaze is gentle as he looks down at me nodding. He smiles, pecking my lips softly. His touch leaves me as my eyes slip shut again, his footsteps distant as he leaves, the Pokémon at my feet readjusting;
Just rest now. He has you..

I really enjoy the pokemon AU, and I love the idea of the BotW map being a pokemon region, I think it works really well! If it's not spoilery, where are all the gyms located? Or other classic pokemon locations, like the league?
You have no idea how happy I am to hear that you're enjoying my au!! Most of the location's aren't spoilery, but there are a couple that are not in this list that are important.
All the main towns in botw are still there, but they're all expanded. Since it's not a post-Calamity setting, there won't be all the ruins and destruction around. But there are also more towns and settlements. I've got a fun little powerpoint to help me remember routes and locations, but since that does have some spoilers on it, I'll just describe the basics below the cut. But tl:dr, here's a brief map with most of the main points of interest marked off:
Tumblr media
Kakariko village - This is the place where Professor Flora and Professor Sun have their "home base". The two of them are pretty mobile with their research, but their physical lab space is located here.
Hateno Village - Location of the first Gym. Also the location of Purah's lab, a scientist who's main research subject is the pokedex. She's the one to go to for cataloging, reporting, and recording encounters with pokemon and compiles all the data for trainers.
Dracozu Village - This is one of the towns I've made myself. It's located around the Spring of Courage in Faron Woods, and home to the second Gym. It's very similar to the Village of the Dragons that Iris is from from Pokeani. It's a small, tight-knit community, and can be intimidating for new trainers to go to.
Lurelin Village - The coastal village on the other side of Faron and home of the third Gym.
Old Castle Town - Up on the Great Plateau, another town that I've built. This on is much busier and lively, centered around the fourth Gym, which in this au is the Temple of Time. There's a smaller town on the other side of the plateau (which is where Hyrule is from), but most of the central hub is in Old Castle Town.
Kara Kara Bazaar - The site of the fifth Gym. Gerudo Town is still around and still has its vai-only rule, but the bazaar is much more expanded. There are merchants from other regions that will travel and sell their goods here, and it's a very culturally diverse area.
Ordon Village - The valley directly south of Mt. Satori is where Ordon Village is. Similar to Dracozu Village, it's a small, tight-knit community that has its own way of life. The villagers there honor the Lord of the Mountain over other Mythical or Legendary pokemon, and it's a high honor to be named the Warden of the Lord of the Mountain.
Satori Mountain - Home of the Lord of the Mountain, Satori. Under joint protection of the Rangers and the Warden from Ordon Village. It's a sanctuary for pokemon, and often a target of poachers because of it.
Rito Village - The central part of the village is similar to botw, but there are more houses and businesses along the road looping around the lake. Home of the Rito and the sixth Gym.
The Flight Range - Home base for the Hebra-Tebantha division of the Rangers. Also the location of the Seventh Gym.
The Forgotten Temple - A historic site of interest for Professor Sun.
Hyrule Castle - The surrounding city is Castletown (not to be confused with Old Castle Town), the largest city in the region. Hyrule Castle itself is a very important building, as it houses the official Elite Four and Champion battles, as well as the Ranger HQ. There is also a section of the castle dedicated to the Battle Chateau, a rather elite set of fields to compete on outside of the Gym Challenge.
Mabe Village - Located southeast of Castletown in Hyrule Field. Home of the Lon Lon Academy for Service Pokemon, although the actual ranch is just outside of town. It's a pretty small village, and the hometown of Elite Four Member Legend and Top Coordinator Fable.
The Lost Woods - A mysterious forest that is rumored to be cursed. Those who wander in never come out, except there are rumors of sightings of Elite Four Member Time navigating the woods freely. Another target for poachers, though the threat of the mist is often deterrent enough.
Akkala Citadel - An intense training ground for trainers. Elite Four Member Warriors spends most of his time here, training and battling alongside top trainers in the region and beyond. There is a small city built around the cliffsides, though the area is much more of a visiting place than a living place.
Tarrey Town - Home of the eighth Gym. Just outside of town, further up the hill is Robbie's research lab, and the leading expert on pokeballs. He has also been recruited by Professor Flora to aid in her research into ancient technology, providing prototype replicas with varied success.

Oh look, more new pokemon opinions. 44-53
Frigibax
The Ice Fin Pokemon, a dragon/ice dual-type which is nice to see, I just have no idea what it’s supposed to be. At first look it looks like somebody tried to cross a frog and a koala. Fingers crossed the pokedex will be informative there. Until then, it has the new ability Thermal Exchange that makes it immune to burn and raises it’s attack when hit with a fire move. Apparently they live in forests and craggy areas, absorbing heat and then converting that heat into cold that it uses to chill it’s nest.
4/10, I have no idea what this it besides an air conditioner
Arctibax
Okay, at least this fucker looks like something. I sailfin dinosaur I guess? Or maybe one of those fuckers from before the dinosaurs, I know the name but damned it I can remember it off the top of my head. Don’t care, bitches look like something now. They freeze the air around them into an ice mask for their face and to turn their back fin into an ice blade, which they attack with by doing a front flip.
5/10, I have an idea what it is now, still not impressed
Baxcalibur
The Ice Dragon Pokemon that wants to be Godzilla. Seriously, it looks like a knock-off ice Godzilla pared way the fuck down. Again, maybe the 3d model is better, but this isn’t doing it for me. It launches itself into battle by flipping upside down and blasting freezing air at the enemy. Finishes them off with it’s dorsal blade, probably with another flip.
4/10, I know what it is now and it’s lost points for it
~
Tatsugiri
The Mimicry Pokemon, water/dragon dual type (never gonna complain about more of them). It looks like something you’d see in Putt-Putt, and I mean that in the most loving way. Comes in three color variations as well. New ability- Commander: goes into Dondozo’s mouth, can no longer take dmamage, Dondozo can no longer switch out, Dondozo’s stats go up two stages. Well that’s not too fucking broken. Apparently the forms change depending on where they were caught and are as follows- Curly Form: described by the pokedex as living inside Dondozo’s mouth to protect itself, also extremely cunning, it feigns weakness to lure in prey. Droopy Form: pokedex explains that the different forms are to better attract different prey, also that it plays dead to attract prey and uses it’s intelligence to survive despite being small and weak. Stretchy Form: Tatsugiri is, according to this one’s dex entries, one of the smartest dragon pokemon, this one hunts bird pokemon with it’s Dondozo partner and inflates it’s throat sac to lure then in.
8/10, not the best dragon ever, but certainly delightful in its own way
~
Cyclizar
Everyone knows this one by now. It’s a dragon, it’s a motorcycle, it’s a friend. Precious thing and the best dragon of this gen so far in these reviews. They’re depicted in 10k year old murals letting people ride them, can reach 70 mph, and enjoy the warmth human riders give off. It’s a mutual relationship.
9/10, good lizard
~
Pawmi
“Achi! Look! An electric type!” To which I can only say... eh? Not really impressed. I mean, look at the competition! Bellibolt exists! And Pawmi... tries, bless it’s little heart. It’s an electric type and so I give it more benefit that I would otherwise, but it’s not doing it for me. The sacs on it’s cheeks are underdeveloped and it needs to rub them to get them to generate power, the pads of it’s paws, meanwhile, can also generate power but to use it they have to stand up on their hind legs and they’re not good at it.
6/10, a serviceable electric type
Pawmo
Electric/fighting now, nice combo, it’s gotten lighter and can stand on it’s hind legs now. They defend their groups with attacks that combine hand strikes with zaps of electricity... Okay, they learn Thunder Punch, I’d have had to kill somebody.
6/10, still serviceable
Pawmot
The Hands-On Pokemon. Once a Pawmo walks 100 steps in the overworld they evolve, get darker, and get scruffy looking. Or maybe just fluffy looking. It’s fur can store as much power as an electric car, and while they’re slow to reach they’re lightning fast.
7/10, a bit better
~
Wattrel
We have a flying type, this is not a drill! And it’s an electric type too! The Storm Petrel Pokemon, with the new ability Wind Power- getting hit with a wind move boosts the power of it’s next electric attack. It looks, like a bird, bit of blue-grey, bit of black, bit of yellow. Makes me think a little of batteries and a lot of seagulls for something that’s not a seagull. These pokemon’s bones generate electricity while they coast along on the wind, then they use it to stun their prey while they dive into the water for them. Their nests are built on cliffs, have a crackly texture, and are- you guessed it- fucking eaten. This region, man.
6.5/10, it’s a good bird
Kilowattrel
Oh, this fucker looks cool. Darker colors, a more defined shape, the Frigatebird Pokemon is definitely an upgrade. A poor swimmer, it stores the electricity it’s wings generate in it’s throat sac. It can cover over 430 miles in a day.
8/10, better bird
~~~
Can’t have too many electric types, you really can’t
If you can do the game for Mr. rain is like if but I’ve also been tempted so I’m tell you more about him, he has two jobs; he works at a train station because trains and also he works with scientist so he hold all of his Pokémon on him, he also is blind but refuses to wear his glasses, and like me he blacks out and doctors got no idea why, so all his Pokémon are registered service pokemon yay, he has horrible anxiety and he follows ingo and emmet on twitter, he’s a trans man and he’s cupioromantic, he’s probably adopted at least half the people that work at the subway he doesn’t work there, he just sees them not taking a lunch break, gets them lunch and tells them to eat at some point. Ingo and emmet have no idea., Mr. Rain thinks ingo and emmet are cool and would love to talk to them, hes to scared to thou
I have a backstory to,
He was raised to alway to forgive people who hurt him, he’s down fall in the end, he was severely bullied throughout elementary school because of his adhd, so he got really quiet, and by middle school he became a dad to anyone with horrible parents, as leaving him as the rebound friend, and lover. It didn’t turn out well, he was left with a lot of relationship trama and a fear of losing people, I’m not gonna lie nothing changed through high school i mean he left it, to become a trainer, he made it though a whole gym challenge. After that he got a job and the train station and later on with the scientist ( not the ones that turn people half Pokémon )
Sorry if that’s a lot.
Tumblr media
Also here’s all his Pokémon
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Here’s his team :)
Tumblr media
Renee wants to be Mr. Rain's friend! She can see he's a kind man, bringing lunch to those working at the station, and she'd like to get to know him. She also would love to introduce her team to him and his team, taking photos of the interactions! She wants to show him the world and take pictures of his smile, because she thinks it's a very nice smile. She also wants to be around as often as possible to help if he were to suddenly faint.
Tumblr media
I can see Renee having a crush on Mr. Rain, since he's so kind. She admires his strength and kindness, and thinks they'd make a nice couple together. But she can sense that he doesn't really feel the same, and once she knows of him being cupioromantic, she accepts that he won't feel the same. She hopes he'll stay her friend, though. She enjoys hanging out with him and teasing him about not wearing his glasses.
He's a cute OC! I hope you don't mind me tagging him as Toby since that's what I did before. I can change the tags if you'd prefer something else, though! Let me know!
I barely recommend or tell anyone to watch anything. It is a rude behavior I have but ever since I was a child I would resort to watching shows to keep things out of my mind. I don't know why but anime/manga really was a hook for me as a kid especially when I learned that anime shows like Yu-Gi-Oh! originated from Japan. My instinctual response is "Experience it yourself". I remember making my best friend through some Yu-Gi-Oh! Fanfiction and it was nice.
I recognize that there are fans of shows out there too and the term fandom was introduced to me through tumblr. I barely interacted/socialized as I felt embarrassed and ashamed of still being a teenager and being drawn to both Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh! As *cough* these are geared to children *cough* and as a teen I was expected to "grow out of both of these".
Yes Pokemon is geared for children but I would argue that it wasn't wise for the US to dub Yu-Gi-Oh! especially for some of the mature themes and violence that went into it. I also remember that I'd watch DragonBall and had a love/hate relationship with it. I think the worst thing to do was to gear these things at children even if I was introduced to these shows as marketed to kids since they are cartoons.
I remember when I was in elementary school that there was a fight/argument I had with a boy and he would say that Goku would defeat everyone I mentioned to him in a fight as I had mentioned the Powerpuff Girls and he said that Goku would Kami Hami Ha them. I don't have a hate relationship to Goku but I didn't enjoy DragonBall because almost every episode involved fighting and it was growing boring watching fighting.
One of the worst arguments I see people say is "It's fiction. It's not real." Yeah well I have to tell you that the emotions felt when watching/reading it are definitely real. I remember that it was in part this reason that I was drawn to the "fiction" genre as I would read and sometimes write fanfiction to express myself. It made me feel better and happier but I have felt ashamed of writing fanfiction because "It's someone else's idea. What about 'original' ideas?" I would write to vent about my feelings and opinions while feeling fear and ashamed if someone read my 'works'.
Lately I can barely read or even watch shows as the choice in streaming services is hard and I'm not sure I want to be 'distracted' from life. I can barely write 'fictional' thoughts of impersonations as I would do before. I don't support hate and I wish to be One with GOD as GOD is love. I wish to present everyone with love.
So back when sword and shield came out, I was having a lot of fun making little 4komas and stuff for FGO. I had been playing it for a long time and decided to start playing around with character aspects I liked and dialogues and stuff and as I began playing through Sword and Shield…I wanted to do the same thing…but with a side character in the past. So because I don’t know that I’ll ever get to really write or draw it out I’d like to share it here for fun. I’ll share some of the little sketches for it I did next time! We’ll start with some of my original thoughts going into the story, then the main story of Galar’s fastest Corviknight, but since this is part 1 it acts more as introduction to all the characters and the story happening overall. Enjoy!
The first things I wanna talk about is what my ideas were going into this story. I really love the designs of Sword and Shield’s region and gym leaders and felt like they and the region had a longer history. What I decided I wanted to try though was brought on by the interst I had in, not the gym leader’s pasts or the region’s but in the Taxi Driver and his Corvinknight. They get several cameos in Twilight Wings which I really loved. My idea was that these friends likely had their own heavy developments to get to where they were. How is Corviknight known as the fastest? That waas something I was especially interested to explore. With the Pokemon x Miku collab, the little short web-series like pokemon concierge, it made me interested in sharing this story in even a little way. So this is sort of an outline and summary of the story I wanted to do. It includes how the Pilot and Corvinknight became a duo, how Corviknight became known across Galar as the fastest, as well as some of the gym leader’s historys and family (like parents, grandparents or them when younger, etc.). This means some of the ages are wrong because I can’t find them for some of the characters, but I tried to keep the logic in them as best I could and pretty much all of the characters don't have names unless they're directly named in SWSH. I’ve made some changes since the inital time I wrote the outline so you have the freshest most up to date version! Some things don't make sense, some things are still written wrong or oddly, but it was just gonna be a single one shot story (a comic one-shot) so it's got a few visual story notes that you wouldn't get from a fanfic that were written to help visualize things later. Hopefully though this gives the best overall feel of what things are supposed to overall be story wise.
───── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ─────
Pilot tells the Sword and Shield MC and crew about how he and Corviknight won the first annual race around Galar back in the day and encountered the legendary pokemon in the big area. From this Pilot goes on his day reminiscing about how he and Corviknight came to be as close as they did, almost 26 years ago.
Pilot worked at the old taxi service, at the time they originally only used land vehicles and pokemon rentals but wanted to test a new service using flying types, they’d been trying with one Corviknight for a long time and did fairly well. Pilot’s father and grandfather had worked and owned the taxi service with another guy, Boss, but it was recently bought out by a large corporation who are also pushing to help get air pokemon travel. To do so they’ve donated several Corviknights, recently evolved from Corvisquire. Pilot’s father is out sick so he, Pilot, is working with another guy from the service to get the Corviknights trained. The older Corviknight becomes temperamental and injures one of the drivers. Pilot is cautious but doesn’t neglect to treat the Corviknight just as well as the others. One day when giving all the Corviknights cold baths out in the sun, a guy Pilot has a crush on comes over to the Taxi service because he works for the community paper. He wants to write a story about the new initiative to help boost service use after the transition of ownership, knowing Pilot is somewhat upset by it and worried that the place his family has created won’t be something he can save if it fails. Pilot appreciates it and after a small pause he shows Guy around with what they’re doing that day and talks about what they have been doing in general to train the Corviknights. The older Corviknight, having watched the exchange, quietly fades into the space lingering around the hose. At somepoint just after Guy leaves, Pilot flushes and quickly but quietly Corviknight splashes him with the hose. The two then have a water hose fight. It’s a fun light moment.
In the days following Corviknight bonds, in an almost begrudging manner, with Pilot and Guy on the couple times they visit. One day Guy comes in mentioning that they received news there is some big event coming up, and that it’s a cross region race. It’s something being hosted by the Dragon gym leader and his Fiance from Alola. Guy says it may be good way to show both how well the Corviknights are doing and to test out their flight capabilities. Pilot likes the idea but they haven’t actually gotten to mounting the Corviknights yet. Guy suggests that he try to do so with the one older Corviknight but Pilot says no, that he doesn’t want to try too early, especially when he isn’t sure that Corviknight actually likes him. The Corviknight overhears this and seems to contemplate the wording by itself. Over the next couple days again the Corviknight seems especially quiet, not wild or aggressive, but not interested in doing anything. As the training is going well, plans begin to be set up for the taxi service to move buildings at the request of the larger corporation.
As the last of the Drivers return, one of which the older Corviknight gets upset and snaps at, Pilot locks up the backyard first. As he returns to the main shop, a couple enters asking about getting a ride although it's close to closing time. He says he can't because there aren't any drivers. The male of the couple playfully asks about a specific driver being around, who is Pilot's Father. Pilot says no that he was out sick and the man is surprised, immediately going into questions about it and then pausing. He asks if Pilot is related and Pilot says yes. The man becomes extra friendly introducing himself and his fiancé by name but not what they do. He then asks about seeing his father's Corviknight as he used to get rides from the pair often in the past. Pilot thinks about it for a second and then says sure but he has to lock the front and close so no one else comes in while they're in the back. They go and see the Corviknight and just as Pilot says to be careful that the Corviknight can be aggressive, the man pets it like it's nothing. They talk about how Pilot's father would always say this was the Fastest Corviknight in all Galar and about how excited he would get about talking about it. The woman remarks that she loves flying types or any bug flying pokemon. She's from Alola where the relationships with pokemon for transportation is pretty open ended. Pilot makes a small connection there in his mind to the recent things he heard about the Dragon Gym leader's fiance.
She immediately asks if he is the fastest then the Corviknight is must be entering the race coming up. He says probably not since the Corviknight is technically a working Pokemon and might be needed for Taxi that day, even though the Corviknights haven’t actually started work yet. Pilot asks if they're gonna enter the race and they both glance at each other and then back to him. He asks what's wrong. They mention they’re hosting the race and he connects the dots, and the reader would likely have that these are Raihan’s parents. The man laughs and pats Pilot on the back, saying not to sweat it but that he should ask if Boss would let Pilot race with Corviknight. Pilot says he isn't even sure he'll have time to race or that he'll be busy, very obviously trying to create reasons he can't go. The man interrupts saying that he's not demanding he has to enter or even really asking him to, but if it's something that Pilot or Corviknight want to do he'll have a spot open for them. The couple leaves, wrapping up the conversation and Pilot finishes locking up. As he is walking away from the Taxi building, a shadow (only to readers) is oddly watching the building.
Meanwhile earlier in the day, Honey notices a boat passing the Isles and mentions it to Mustard who decides to contact the docks about any boats they had out in the area. Characters that we as the reader would probably recognize as Nessa’s parents answer the call and mention that they’ve had an increase in water pokemon in the area but no strange boats. Mustard mentions he saw a few extra schools of water pokemon than normal as well. With no boats recorded out by the isle, they consider that the boat may be herding the pokemon for something. Nessa’s parents say they’ll report it to the police. After the call, Nessa’s mom decided she wants to check out if the other side of Galar has had any changes in water pokemon sightings, to see if it's perhaps an overall increase or just on one side. She takes the train out over to Ballonlea and requests help at the Fairy Gym. There she finds out that some fairy types have been disappearing and many of the weaker remaining have gathered closer into town. And after exploring the beach on outside the forest, notices a large lack of water pokemon.
The next day, Pilot goes out to the boss and asks what he thinks of the race the Dragon Gym is holding. Boss says it sounds interesting and he's gonna check it out, saying he might find some more ways to make quick rides with other pokemon. Boss asks if Pilot wants that day off to see the race. Pilot says not if it's gonna be a busy day, he wants to be sure they have enough help. Boss laughs and retorts with an "alright", but that it'll only be a half day in that case. Boss wants Pilot to be able to do things other than just work as he's still young enough to go out and have a good time. Pilot thanks him and then considers asking about racing with the Corviknight but doesn’t.
Pilot approaches Corviknight later, speaking to it about the race and flying, what it means to be doing the work they are. He feels that the Corviknight wants to fly but Pilot is well aware that this may be the last thing it wants to be doing too, but hopes that if they can show the taxi service works, Corviknight can leave if it’d like and be really free. The Corviknight seems to get upset at this, as it had begun to feel happy again at the Taxi service and Pilot saying this makes it feel… betrayed in a way. The Corviknight knocks Pilot down and flys out of the service hanger. It doesn’t come back the full day as Pilot waits and Boss tries to convince Pilot to go home. He says no and tries to clean up things although all the work for the day is done. Just they get ready to lock up and Pilot going into the hanger, someone enters the taxi service room. They knock out Boss and direct someone else to enter and being grabbing things. Hearing the items getting thrown around in the other room, Pilot comes back only to be pushed back by the robbers, and turned away from them so he can't see their faces. The robbers take the Corviknight pokeballs as well as the rental pokemon’s pokeballs. They say they’ll be taking the pokemon off their hands and knockout Pilot, proceeding to use the pokeballs to take the pokemon from the hangers and beds. In the shuffle of taking Pokemon, Corviknight returns and tries fighting off the robbers only to be taken too.
About two hours later Pilot wakes and sees all the pokemon gone. He rushes to check on Boss who is still knocked out and so he calls the pokemon center, police and Guy. The police have a special detective with them who is investigating pokemon thefts across regions, believing Galar’s unique types will make them the next target. He believes the Taxi service was targeted to take away fast traveling pokemon and impede the possible mobility of general citizens being raised against the thieves. The Driver is nursed and taken home and Pilot is told the scene needs to stay as is till it can be fully inspected. Guy, having gotten the call from Pilot, arrives and after being filled in, walks Pilot home.
Meanwhile the thieves have taken up hiding in the Weald. They go over plans and, to the reader, confirm that they stole the taxi pokemon in order to impede people from getting around. Their plan is to use a part of the upcoming racing event in order to take other pokemon before trying for the remaining legendary pokemon at the southern end of galar. The leader among them, a young woman, thinks on her own goals and her hopes to be accepted back into Team Rocket. She decides to try bringing out one of the pokemon the next morning, to see if it will listen to her orders. Unfortunately she isn’t sure which pokemon will be in the ball she chooses and sends out Pilot’s Corviknight. The Corviknight reacts fast and flies off before She realizes which Corviknight it is. As this happens, they also being to hear an ominous howl they hadn't before. They decide as Corviknight flies off that it’s not worth the chase and it’s easier to relocate, assuming that howl they hear is the pokemon of a Galar citizen.
Over the night of the theft, Guy and Pilot remain at home where Pilot lets his dad know what happened. They talk through it and Pilot feels crushed that what seemed to be great progress ended up like this. His dad reassures him thats everything is of no fault on him. Theres still the chance Corviknight will be back, not knowing it had been taken in the same moment. Guy stays to help Pilot get some rest in and then walk him back to the taxi service in the morning. Pilot takes the chance to mention that he is happy Guy supports him and would like to be able to hang out more, making more memories with Corviknight and such. Guy agrees, thinking this was going to be a confession but appreciates the smaller moment instead.
The next morning the two head over to Taxi service after calling to see if they were allowed back in. The police apparently locked up and were done investigating. They mention that they’d be happy to keep Pilot in the loop as much as they can to help find the missing Pokemon. Pilot and Guy head over to the Taxi service. They quietly spend the day cleaning up and informing customers they’d be closed until the pokemon are found. As they wrap up some cleaning for lunch, Pilot hears a sound from the back. He rushes back and opens the hanger doors to see Corviknight landing down. He jumps up happily and hugs Corviknight. Corviknight lightly lays his head to Pilots shoulder accepting it. Pilot begins trying to explain what happened but Corviknight interrupts grabbing a saddle, trying to ask Pilot to get on with urgency. Pilot understands and gets on, telling Guy he’ll be back.
Corviknight flies Pilot near the Gloomwood forest, unable to properly enter. Here they run into a young girl and asks her if she had seen any strange in the area. She remarks just that the Corviknight had shot out of the forest earlier. The Corviknight interjects trying to signal to the forest. The girl mentions she know a shortcut in if they needed to get in there somewhere. Pilot agrees and the three, the girl, pilot and Corviknight, walk into the gloom. The girl leads them through a rough path with downed trees and they arrive at what was a cleared out spot for a camp. Pilot recognizes one of the leftover pokeball containers as being from the Taxi shop. The girl says that she didn’t know there were people staying in there and wonders how they were getting in and out if they weren’t from there. Pilot asks how the girl learned to get around as they head back out. She talks about how she grew up wandering around the forest with her buddew and wooloos. They’d somehow always know the way out. The girl lets Pilot call from her house to inform the police of the items he found. With this news begins to spread in Galar that the taxi service had their pokemon stolen.
The Rocket Leader decides she wants to scout before the event, which is a week away. The detective approaches Pilot with a request to help find the missing pokemon.
AND Thats part 1. Theres a few things about the climax and end I want to touch up and include drawings for. There are also some drawings I want to post separate to this post, but also want to rework since I feel like I have nailed the timing a bit better than when I originally wrote this idea out. I want to make the chracters look more like how I imagined they would have 26 years before SWSH, especially given it's the characters parents or their younger selves. So please look forward to it, I don't know when I 'll post the next part or the drawings just yet but this is the basis to start us off! Thanks for reading and I'll see you next time.
Hello guys! Welcome to this little blog!
I’m really just a random guy on the internet. I enjoy drawing pokemon and creatures, including type swaps and fakemon. However, I still find myself not knowing what to draw most of the time Xd.
As such, I’ve decided to make this account, so that random people on the internet can request for doodles. I’ve no idea if this is a good idea or not but I guess we’re about to find out! (Please don’t make me regret this)
So, here are some ground rules:
1. You can request pretty much nearly anything (not just pokemon, though that would be preferred.) besides NSFW content. OCs are allowed as well!
2. I will only be doing requests that interest me/I feel like drawing, so NOT ALL REQUESTS would be drawn.
3. Do not expect anything good if you do request something (and it gets drawn). I made this account so that I’ve prompts for when I’ve no idea what to draw. This is NOT a commission account, but a free service. The quality of drawings here could vary from literal shitposts to full art pieces (though full art pieces would be rarer than shiny pokemon)
5. Updates here will not be consistent. I’ll only draw when I’ve the time and energy to do so.
6. You can request multiple times, but please don’t spam me with too many requests at once. (At most 10 at a time)
More rules will be added if needed.
i just finished all of my dailies for pokémas and sonia was the one who greeted me upon login sooooo professor sonia from swsh :,) you can even throw in sonia nevermind if you’re feeling saucy lmao
OOOOOOO TWO SONES COMING RIGHT UP!
Sonia Pokemon!!! I really really enjoyed her in SWSH and I LOVED that she took over for her grandmother! Like most characters in SWSH she's a stellar character with interesting story that carries a horrendous plot. Her design is lovely and I have nothing but fond thoughts of her :) a delight to have onscreen
HARU VERDICT: sighed and twitched in his sleep. 5/10
Tumblr media
ms. nevermind...
Every thought I've had about Sonia is so complicated and conflicting. and overall I LOVE her as a character. Other than the fact that I was suspicious of her the entire time I genuinely thought she was really funny and the idea of a serial killer-obsessed princess is SOOOOO so good. I hold nothing against her and EVERYTHING against the sdr2 writers.
Unfortunately Sonia really gets the "flat survivor character" treatment in sdr2 imo. I felt like she didn't have much development outside of her relationship with gundham and when he died I feel like her development completely stopped.
in general I feel Sonia's agency and potential as a character was forefeighted to service two male characters while she just continued to try to keep everyone together and it makes me sad 😔 I love her but I think exploring her as a killer or victim could have been interesting as opposed to... Whatever the hell they did to my girl.
HARU VERDICT: made an uncomfortable noise and shifted as he woke up. 3/10
Do you adopt out any rehabilitated Pokémon? I was considering trying to get my first Pokémon but have no clue where to go! I’m pretty sure you can only get a starter if you the starting trainer age.
Sure, we adopt out as much as we can in terms of the rehab pokemon. Those who are well adjusted and safe, we do allow older trainers to come and meet, not youngsters though, as rehab okemon require far more care and concern, to keep everyone safe. Also a lot of Pokemon are born and bred here, we house a lot of species, and they breed here of their own accord, many of these young are perfectly healthy and happy, looking for new homes and lives, even adventure! They will know the way the island works, and go to the designated adoption areas to see if any humans come by that interest them, or show them kindness. from there, simply go with the pokemon to the main lab, and our active staff will begin the process to hopefully pair you and a pokemon up. like most facilities, we run background checks, and ask necessary questions to assess if the pokemon and human are well matched, and have what they need to safely live with each other. At the labs, we also give interested parties a chance to get a little background info, or additional care tips for any pokemon they enjoy the company of. We ask that people accept a pokemons decision, many younger children do not always understand this, so we have to clarify. If you want to keep a pokemon, they also have to want to go with you too. It has to be a two sided thing. You can imagine the tantrums we've seen over the years because of this, so i've become very clear on the matter, at every opportunity. Most folks are really cool with the idea and just enjoy their stay, searching for a potential match!
It is a shame the whole starter industry is directed at children, there are a number of adult-targeted programs that help people find their first partner, they’re just so hard to get details on.
Though some professors handle children and their starters exclusively, many labs, breeders, and rehab centres offer the starter service to all people. Our labs actively distribute to adults, along with another small centre near goldenrod city. There’s on average 2-3 facilities per region that will provide this service, and you should ask at local pokecentres for details in your area.
There’s plenty of people who wait till later in life to get a Pokemon. I personally think it’s a healthier time in life to get a powerful creature as a house pet. Better to know how to care for yourself first, save a little money, research and prepare for your first partner. Safer to travel as an adult too! Don't fret buddy! plenty of opportunity for you to get a perfect pal, I see people well into their 80s getting their first pokemon, and they're able to approach the whole thing with far more wisdom and resources. You've been very responsible!
