i don't like the way spop and toh separated the main couple from their other friends.

OBVIOUSLY, l/umity is a hundred times better than c//a and i appreciate that we could see luz and amity being a cute couple instead of them getting together only in the end, but i noticed that luz barely interacts with gus and willow in season 2 and beyond. in turn, hunter ended up replacing luz to be part of their trio (and gus ended up ignored too so h/untlow could become canon). i also hate that, in the series finale, luz only reunites with amity and camila. we do not see luz tearfully hugging gus and willow (and hunter, who, y'know, was the only person luz felt like she could count on in thanks to them. their friendship was completely ignored after that). they were best friends! why were they pushed aside?

spop does a similar thing in s5. adora is separated from glimmer and bow so only c//a gets the spotlight. i do believe spop was even shittier to platonic relationships bc toh at least prioritizes luz, eda and king's bond in the final battle. even then, i hate that both shows decide to ignore the main character's friend group to make way for the romance.

MOBILE BOOPS

Ok so if you log into Tumblr on a mobile browser, you might be able to unlock super boops and evil boops!!!

There are two types of "boop buttons." The textual "boop" on posts and the colorful paw icon when you're on someone's blog. You can use either for booping (I was not previously aware that the textual boop button allowed for super/evil booping)

Click and hold the Boop Button

It will ask you if you want to regular-boop them

Click X (or cancel, I guess)

Click and hold the Boop Button again. It should start to spin on you. (Be careful of your finger placement so you can count the spins) The paw will spin 180 degrees clockwise, then back. One to two forward+back spins gets you a super boop. Two and a half or more spins gets you an evil boop. Note: I had trouble with the evil boop at first and have a tentative hypothesis that you might have to be evil booped first to unlock it, but I have no proof. (please does anyone know the parameters around the evil boop???)

i think the biggest issue with catra's redemption is that it only serves to make c//a canon.

catra's redemption isn't about her realizing she abused adora, that she was like shadow weaver, that she indirectly killed angella, that she nearly destroyed adora and glimmer's relationship, that she drove scorpia and the horde trio away, that she manipulated entrapta and betrayed her, that she also took advantage of hordak who was feeling abandoned. and ofc, catra destroyed lives, killed lives.

but sadly, none of this matters. catra is just destined to be adora's girlfriend in the worst way possible.
