i’m really curious bc i feel like i see a lot of people against mithan (not me personally, i’m p neutral on them!) but i’m curious to know all your thoughts on them! thoughts on their canon relationship, their fanon portrayal, the backlash against them/mia accusations, and your headcanons? i’m just really interested!!! hopefully that’s not weird :”)

i heart mithan... i think that they can be so cute...

i personally hc them t4t and i like to think that the dated in highschool before they both had fully transitioned

mia likes to bake and ethan likes to scrap book and he always likes to take pictures of mias cakes/ baked goods and has a album for them 😭

i am a multishipper so i draw a lot of ethan ships so my girl is left out sometimes and im sorry mia 😔

i actually really like their relationship, its a really complex dynamic that i like to talk about with my friends

i think the issue is that when talking about mithan or mia in general, theres just SO MUCH misinformation that its honestly a pain the butt to talk about

people still think that she was responsible for the creation of eveline, people still think that she experimented on eveline, people still use examples of her attacking ethan as if she did it on her own will instead of being mind controlled

in reality she was just someone who oversaw the transportation of evie. im not excusing her or anything because obviously she knew what she was doing, but people really try to accuse her of doing something she didnt and it bothers me alot lol

the problem with the fandom is that people either try to water her down to girlboss who did nothing wrong and fail to acknowledge the complexity/ moral grayness of her character and the other side is misogynists 😭😭😭😭

its hard to talk about her without people either going "stop trying to villainize her and make her look bad!" or people ACTUALLY villainizing her and acting like heisenberg would have treated him better 😭😭

mithan is such a sad relationship because they loved each other so much and that ended up being the reason their relationship fell apart (sort of... its not like the broke up... ethan kinda just straight up died)

i get a lot a trouble for saying this, but mia is a selfish person.

its not a bad thing! well i mean it is but it doesnt make her some evil witch who is somehow worse than the guy how made a werewolf american ninja warrior. its just a major character flaw she has! which is good! mia being a flawed person who makes mistakes and morally gray decisions make her a more interesting person!

she is selfish in the way that she wants to keep her family with her no matter the cost. even if it means lying to ethan about her job so that he wont think different of her. here is a interrogation from the re7 DLC, which is easy to miss!

she isnt necessarily trying to apologize for the things she has done, she is more of a, "u wont need to forgive me in the first place if we just forget it all and move on"

she doesn't try to redeem herself for what she has done, she tries to move on and return to the normal life that she wants so bad. which is fine! everyone copes a different way and she has to right to move on from her trauma. the problem that lies in this is that she has a shared trauma with ethan who still has no idea what went on in dulvey and still effects him till the present (he is mold! this is a important thing to know! most people would want to know if they were a walking corpse)

she played a direct part in what happened in dulvey, and im not referring to the email, she did not send that. she never wanted ethan to come in the first place. she tried her best to send a video to him, begging him to forget about her because she wanted to protect him, BUT it didnt send.

he got involved because she was involved. its honestly a series of really really unfortunate events.

THOUGH! she did know what she was getting into. im tired of seeing the narrative that mia was innocent and didnt know what was going on or was simply a bystander. she knew what she was doing, she knew eveline was a bioweapon, she knew eveline was a child. she used a MACHINE GUN! she knows how to use weapons and was obviously trained for it.

she tried her best to keep everybody out of the mess, ex: warning the bakers not to take them in, warning ethan not to find her, sacrificing herself for ethan in the later half of re7

but again, those are the consequences of HER actions

her consequences just happen to get really big and end up hitting ethan on the head like a metal sheet 😭

their relationship is really so interesting, it makes me really sad to think about sometimes 😭they both went through something that nobody else would ever understand, in the end they really only have each other. they get moved to an entire different country and the dulvey incident gets covered up with a "gas leak"

its really tragic because their marriage definitely had some flaws and bumps. and i know im repeating myself but its because people always take this in the worst way possible but just because i say their relationship was rocky doesnt mean im saying they dont love each other!!! thats the entire basis of mias character!! saying she doesnt love ethan would destroy her entire character!

you can see in the re8 DLC how fondly ethan talks about mia! he loves her so much, though im not sure if his comments in the DLC are him narrating current (post re8) or his thoughts before everything went down and he died (pre re8)

everything mia did was because she LOVED ethan. she would never do anything to intentionally hurt him, she is not a cruel person. she hides the truth of her job from ethan pre re7 because she loves him and doesnt want her job to drive them apart. she CONTINUES to refuse to tell ethan the truth post re7 because she wants to move on a live a happy normal life with him and knows something like her being directly associated with the connections would probably cause (more) problems. she refuses to tell ethan that he is mold because again, hard to live a happy marriage with your husband after you tell him hes a bioweapon.

obviously i dont think it was right that she did this, thats what makes her selfish! she did it for herself! she did it for her family! she thought it would work out, she thought that they could move on and be happy together.

the issue is that ethan didnt want to forget. he wanted to know what happened, he wanted to know the part mia played, he wanted answers! which is reasonable! he knows to some extent that mia was partially responsible for his involvement and he was always suspcious that mia was lying to him about her job which is implied when mia says "you were right, i did lie to you"

she doesnt learn, she doesnt stop lying, her lies get bigger and worse and it sucks yeah but it makes her so interesting!!! she keeps doing stupid things under the idea that this is whats best for her and her family, that if she hides this everything will work out and it will be for the better but its not!

just because telling your husband hes dead and a bioweapon is a hard subject to bring up doesnt mean you DONT bring it up. people shouldnt use that as a reason to excuse mia 😭, its a very bad excuse and honestly highlights how horrible their communication skills were. you cant just not tell your husband that he is actually infected with the mold and not tell him for the tree years between post re7 and pre re8.

im not saying these things to put mia down, or try and villanize her. these are all just actual things her character does! she isnt evil, but she isnt a knight in shining armor either. we need to be able to have talks about complex characters without crying everytime someone points out a flaw. characters have flaws! and mia just happens to have a lot of them!

im not mad at her, i dont dislike her because i think this way of her. shes a fictional character! you can like characters that are morally gray, or villains that drink blood and make corpse soldiers. they are fictional! pointing out the flaws of a character does not mean i dont like them.

i wouldnt call her "the real villain of re8" but i wouldnt treat her like a damsel in distress either. she is a competent person, she knows what shes doing, she has her reasons for doing them. she made bad descions with good intentions behind them! they can coexist and we should let them!

i like mithan! its a complex relationship because they both love each other so much but hurt each other in the process

talking about them is just a pain in the butt because talking about mia is a pain in the butt lol

i really hate how she keeps getting sidelined, its super frustrating to see mia get put in a cage in every game 😭

its even more frustrating that mia straight up just disappears???? in the shadows of rose DLC... like she just stops taking care of rose and theres nothing said about it. no reason or explanation. i dont think mia would ever ditch rosemary because she didnt care about her, but we probably will never know because capcom sucks at writing and they probably forgot the mia ever even existed.

all in all, i think the fandom is really just full of misinformation which make people either think mia is some horrible evil person, or its full of people who think that saying mia messed up is the equivalent of comparing her to wesker lol.

i really love mia, shes a incredibly fun and complex character, its just hard to enjoy her sometimes with the people in the fandom haha.

Don't mind me but.. in that question where Danoriddler is "Hacking" with his little and cute pink cat Earphones, i read in his glasses "Hack Dad" instead of Hack dat? And in took me this long to realize, but yeah the question is, who of the riddlers is most likely to know about technology (?

(I love telltale grandpa but i genuinely feel like he would be like some older ladies who ask hers sons if they know how to send a voicemail to her friends 😔)

When you mentioned the part about Telltale being the older lady of the group who doesn’t understand technology, my dumb brain thought you meant that’s how he would hit on older ladies. This ask is good anon, but my idea might have the potential to be great…

Unburied - He’s moderately good with technology. Not a total computer genius but enough to get around. He prefers puns and word puzzles.

ZY - This guy ranks pretty high on the technology smarts. I believe he would make his own computers and I know he programs his own little robots. How well they work is another question, but that’s still saying a lot.

Dano - He's literally a little computer nerd. I hc that he also acted as an IT guy at his job, pre-riddling. He needs that kind of knowledge to hack into and sift through emails detailing dirty dealings.

YJ - He thinks he's such a tech guy, but in reality, he thinks resetting his password is a great example of his skill. Don't get me wrong, he is tech savvy, but if you asked him to build a computer, he'd look at you like a lost puppy.

Gotham - Not a computer guy. He knows bodies, not technology. Of everyone in the house, I'd say he's the most incapable. So, how do I create a...folder?

BTAA - Hack master. Girl, you don't know about his skills. Rivals Dano in his ability to hack into places he's not supposed to be. Loves to know everyone's dirty secrets for no good reason.

Arkham - So, we know he's good with heavy machinery, but he also shows himself to be pretty good at jamming signals. He didn't become the GCPD's data guy for nothing. Also likes to dig up secrets for no reason.

BTAS - Less malicious hacking for this guy and more creation. He loves putting pieces together and having them work in harmony to make something work, especially coding for a game. Honestly, his favorite part is when people get the chance to put his creation to the test.

Telltale - Okay, he could be good with computers. However, as funny as it might be, he was born a little too early to get a natural affinity for computers. If he put his mind to it, he could be just as good as any of them, but, honestly? He likes building the little puzzles and things. That's what does it for him.

I would love to hear you talk about grandpa style tea bc every time I go for a tea I’m not familiar with it turns out either far too weak or just very bitter 😔

Ok so first! You get a nice loose leaf green or oolong tea. Green tea is a little touchy because if you hit it with fully boiling water it can get extremely bitter and gross, so if you don't have a temp control kettle and you don't want to mess with a thermometer to check your water temp, you're better off with oolong.

I have infinite $5 coupons from adagio I can send out by email, so if anyone out there wants to take me up on that, you can get some nice sample size teas from there. Adagio isn't the best place to go once you're diving in deep but they're a great place to start. (I'd be happy to talk higher grade sellers and help recommend specific teas if anyone wants please ask me I love this stuff I would have so much fun.)

If you're like me and want the full forest puddle experience, you need a clear mug, but that's just preference.

And then… get this, this is the magic part. You put like a tablespoon of dry leaf in the cup, fill it up with boiling water… spend several minutes watching the leafs unroll… and once they're all sunk to the bottom, you just drink it like that.

Once the cup gets close to half empty you refill it back up to the top with hot water.

That's it. If you have the right amount of leaf and a good quality tea, it will still taste like tea all day as long as you don't drink more than half of it at a time.

I'm having so much fun with tea lately, please let me know if any of you do this so I can hear how it went for you, it's so good.

Oh my god.

You were mortified.

Absolutely mortified.

As soon as you'd slid into the taxi taking you back to the airport, you'd realized just how mortified you'd been -- and you still were even now that you were standing on another plane, greeting the arriving passengers as they stepped inside.

Because you had kissed him!

I mean, not a kiss on the lips, but still. You'd kissed his cheek and that was more than enough to be embarrassed about. More than enough!

You had just met the guy earlier that day! And not only that, it was your first day of work!

You weren't sure it could get any worse -- only if you'd actually kissed him on the lips. That certainly would've been worse. As far as your humiliation goes, at least, because you had an inkling a real kiss with Yunhyeong would've been wonderful.

But, anyway.

You were back on the job now, so you had to try to focus. You had to try and keep all thoughts of Yunhyeong -- embarrassing or otherwise -- out of your head.

You were mostly successful, but only because your co-worker on this flight wasn't nearly as helpful as Yunhyeong had been. She was nice enough, but when you'd told her you were new and this was only your second flight, she had simply grinned gently and said "Well, good luck."

Thankfully, Yunhyeong's tutelage had been sufficient enough that you knew what needed to be done. You weren't particularly great at anything yet, but you tried your best and only had to field a couple of complaints from the passengers.

When you stepped off the plane this time, though, you didn't feel quite as accomplished as you had earlier that day.

But you were back home, and your next flight wasn't until tomorrow, so you could go home and sleep in your own bed -- which sounded heavenly.

As you rolled your suitcase behind you, your heels lightly clicking on the tile floor, you slid your phone out of your pocket and turned it on.

After it booted up, notifications from during the flight flooded your screen. Unsurprisingly, you had a message from your dad, some unimportant emails you really needed to unsubscribe from, reminders to play a mobile game you'd downloaded a couple of months ago, and...

Oh.

You stopped walking as soon as you saw a message notification from...

Yunhyeong.

To be honest, it had kind of slipped your mind that you'd exchanged phone numbers during dinner earlier.

You held your breath as you wasted no time in clicking on it, your heart pounding as your phone unlocked and showed you the message.

I had a nice time, too! Let me know how the flight went after you land 😊

It wasn't until another notification popped up on your phone that you realized you were just standing there, staring at your screen absently.

The email pulled you out of your trance, though, and even though you really wanted to give yourself more time to reply, he had asked you to let him know how it went after you landed. You didn't want to keep him waiting too long in case he thought something bad had happened -- you weren't entirely sure he would think that much about it, but he did seem like a really kind, caring person. Maybe he would worry if you took too long to respond!

So, you quickly typed out:

It was okay!! I'm back on the ground, at least. I only messed up a few times, I think.

After you pressed 'send,' you typed out another message before you could second-guess yourself.

My co-attendant wasn't nearly as good as you, though! 😩😔

She hadn't been nearly as attractive, either, but you decided to keep that thought to yourself for the time being.

Just a few seconds after you put your phone to sleep and began walking out toward the airport exit, your phone buzzed yet again. You brought it back up to your face without stopping this time, and a wide smile split your lips when you saw Yunhyeong had already responded.

I'm sure you were great! When you get a chance, send me your schedule? I doubt it will match mine, but I can probably tell you about good restaurants in all the places you go to!

You replied back with an Okay! and made a mental note to actually do it -- send him your schedule -- once you got home. It would be super late, and you would be super exhausted, but you didn't want to forget!

So, as you sped toward the exit of the airport and got into a car to take you home, you told yourself over and over again -- send your schedule, send your schedule, send your schedule. Even as the soft hum of the engine and gentle motion of the car began to lull you to sleep, you didn't stop reminding yourself.

About halfway through your ride, you received another message. When you clicked on the notification, you saw Yunhyeong had sent you his schedule. You didn't look too closely because you were afraid that none of his flights would sound familiar -- you didn't want to be disappointed just yet.

When the car finally pulled up to your apartment complex, you paid and thanked him as quickly as you could before hauling your suitcase out and rushing to your door.

As soon as you unlocked and stepped inside your apartment -- like, literally, as soon as. You didn't even turn on the light in the entryway. -- you opened up your email, scrolled through to find the schedule you'd received last week, took a screenshot, and sent it to Yunhyeong.

And then you clicked on his schedule, zooming in and looking at all the flights he would be on in the next few weeks.

A gasp escaped from your mouth when you saw he was going to Paris -- you definitely weren't going there, and you wouldn't even try to hide your jealousy.

Just as you were coming to the realization that none of your flights matched, you felt the soft buzz of an incoming message in the conversation you currently had open -- a message from Yunhyeong.

Darn. Nothing. But I've been everywhere you're going, so I can definitely give you some pointers!

You messaged back right away.

And I think you should also give me something from PARIS. I am so jealous! 😭

Even though you were still standing in a completely dark apartment, your unopened luggage at your feet, and you knew you needed to start getting ready for bed... when you saw the three dots of Yunhyeong typing, you just couldn't bring yourself to move.

Your eyes widened briefly with shock, and you hastily typed back,

I was kidding!! But a croissant would be nice.

You let out a breathless chuckle, shaking your head as you replied to him.

A small voice in the back of your mind was screaming at you to ask him for selfies specifically, but that would absolutely be a weird thing to do.

But, you weren't exactly sure what to send next, if you were being honest. Your exhaustion was catching up to you, and your brain was swiftly turning into a heap of befuddled mush.

Thankfully, Yunhyeong was typing again, and when his message appeared, you almost wondered if he had some sort of psychic powers.

Go get some rest now, okay? And, seriously, you can come to me any time with questions.

You replied with a thumbs-up emoji because that's really all you could manage at the moment, and Yunhyeong sent a Good night! before you put your phone on Do Not Disturb mode and turned off your screen.

It wasn't until you woke up the next morning that you remembered how mortified you'd been because you'd kissed Yunhyeong's cheek before leaving his hotel room yesterday.

Somehow -- miraculously -- Yunhyeong's text messages after your flight home had made you forget all about it.

And you realized now that, while he hadn't brought it up, he had been perfectly friendly and nice. The same Yunhyeong he had been in person.

So... you had to assume that he hadn't really cared, right? Or, at the very least, he hadn't thought you were trying to seduce him or something.

Truly, you still didn't even really know why you'd done it.

I mean, yes, you had gotten a bit distressed because you weren't sure when you would see him next. And I guess that distress had turned to panic? And you'd wanted to make sure he knew how thankful you were for his help and how much you'd enjoyed spending time with him? So... you'd kissed him?

His cheek.

You'd kissed his cheek.

That is an important detail.

But... like... why? Why had you thought a kiss on the cheek was the appropriate way to convey your gratitude?

He was still your co-worker, after all! You wouldn't see him five days a week, eight hours a day like your average co-worker, but he was your co-worker nonetheless! You could've just said 'thank you' and been done with it! Or maybe sent him some cookies if you were feeling generous.

But a kiss?

You'd never done anything like that in your life -- to anyone much less a co-worker you had just met earlier that day!

But, to your surprise and appreciation, Yunhyeong hadn't brought it up. Nor had he acted at all awkward about it.

Plus... you couldn't quite bring yourself to regret it. It had been completely out of character, and it would probably make you cringe for years to come... but you didn't regret it. Yunhyeong was just that appealing to you.

When your thoughts finally settled down, you turned on your side to face your nightstand, reaching out and fumbling to retrieve your phone. Your clumsy, tired fingers unlocked it, but you were suddenly incredibly awake when you saw you had four new messages from Yunhyeong.

Sitting up, you tapped on the notification, your brow furrowing gently as you read through the first message.

As you should've guessed, he was merely sending you restaurant and sightseeing recommendations for several of the places you'd be flying to over the next few weeks.

...Did you really think he would've been declaring his romantic intentions for you and asking you out on a date?

Even if he did already harbor some more-than-friendly interest in you, he wouldn't have asked you out in a text. You barely knew him, but you knew he wasn't that kind of guy.

You carefully read through his recommendations, ignoring the slight pang of disappointment you felt, and typed out a brief but well-thought-out reply.

Thank you so much!!!! I can't wait to actually try these places. They're nothing compared to Paris, I'm sure, but I'm still excited!

Once you pressed send, you took your phone off Do Not Disturb mode, locked it, and set it back on your nightstand; it was still fairly early in the morning, and judging by the timestamps on his messages, he'd stayed up late last night. He wasn't going to be replying to you any time soon.

To your surprise, as soon as you stepped into your bathroom after getting out of bed, your phone buzzed.

But surely that wasn't him responding, right? It must just be an email or something...

You decided to leave it alone for now because you needed to get a move on with your morning routine. You had work in a few hours, and you wanted to switch out everything in your suitcase before you left for the airport.

But, of course, as you were brushing your teeth and washing your face, you couldn't help but wonder what the notification had been.

What if, by some odd but delightful twist of fate, it was Yunhyeong replying back to you?

You tried to tell yourself not to worry about it. It wasn't a big deal. It most likely wasn't a text from him, but even if it was, you didn't have to read or reply to it now! What you needed to do was get ready for work!

...But you also found yourself rushing through your skincare routine, slapping on your serum and slathering on sunscreen without letting the serum sink in at all.

And as soon as you finished half-heartedly rubbing the sunscreen over your cheeks and forehead, you scampered back out into your room and headed right to your nightstand.

When you picked your phone up, your heart did a little flip as you saw Yunhyeong had replied to you already.

...Did the guy ever sleep?

One day you'll go to Paris, I promise! And please send updates if you do end up trying any of the restaurants I sent!! I mean, if you have time. No pressure!

You had to press your lips together to keep from grinning like the biggest idiot in the universe.

You wouldn't say that he was flirting with you or anything, but he was definitely trying to start a friendship with you. At least, that's what it seemed like!

And a friendship with Yunhyeong was more than enough.

updates on art book stuff i guess ?

i uh. worked on the concept for a couple months about a year ago now with the intention of submitting it as a proposal for a local art grant. i submitted it in august i believe ? with the grant work period scheduled to be 1/1/24 - 6/30/24.

late december comes around and i keep messaging the arts council for an update and they say they are running behind because of an influx of submissions. eventually by like mid late january they do the public reviews/scoring zia zoom. now i had read the rules again and again for months. i knew all i needed was a score of 70 or above to be funded. i was the first submission (bc i had planned for months lol) so they reviewed it first. i got a score of 76 so i was !!! so happy. they say emails will go out about the details in a couple weeks

i wait a couple weeks and they send out an email saying they changed the rules and that you need a score of 80 or above to be funded because they "ran out of money" in order to fund everyone who got a 70 or above. with my 76 it meant i got my hopes up for nothing lmao.

they did say they would look for spare funded and send another email by mid april with info if they are able to find spare funding for everyone in that extra 10%. welp like 2 weeks ago i got the email saying "welp we found no more funding so ur shit out of luck"

so no grant funding for the project. i know i was docked points bc "even tho it was all well planned, they cant tell who the target audience of the book is" imo i think thats really funny considering i specifically wrote ive been a student for the past decade and focusing on that so im not sure exactly who my audience is. my plan was to use some of the money to set up a space at our local first friday to be able to connect with people irl and find who my audience is but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ thats not enough i guess

anyway idk if this thing of "rule changing" and all the delays in information is a normal thing bc its my first time applying but god it annoys me.

anyway again, the plan was to be able to release untitled book project for $15 a book so the grant could cover extra expenses but that isnt the case anymore 😔 the books will prob be around $20-$25 instead (i really wanted to make it more affordable bc asphodisles was so much to get printed)

anyway a third time, we as a society really need to give all creatives a basic income to live so i can just make art without having to think about how it can be marketable

good morning! I crashed hard around 9 last night and woke up at 5. ran to the grocery store before 6 and honestly I might start doing my shopping then! I was the only person in the store apart from the employees and it was very peaceful. today is thursday and I do not expect to hear about the job today—for whatever reason I feel convinced it will either be friday or (much more likely) monday or tuesday of next week. I think/hope asserting that aloud will help me get a little mental distance from it today, as yesterday was kind of a queasy anxiety day that did not feel good.

I haven’t double checked my schedule yet but I think this is what today looks like:

6-7:30 coffee, lounge, look at job postings

7:30-8:30 log on at work, send a calendar invite and email about that june meeting, update my list of april/may projects

8:30-9ish I did not go for a run alas I lay in bed looking at patio furniture 😔

9-9:30 shower/get ready

9:30-10:30 work on articulate course

10:30-11 AS mtg

11-12 LF (I have to be camera-on but I don’t need to be especially attentive as it’s a giant group meeting so I can keep working on the new course)

I think there’s an onboarding session shortly after that I was supposed to observe but my lead took that project yesterday so maybe I don’t have to go idk

1:30-2 DR mtg

then sometime this afternoon my sister and I are going to go trail rollerblading, which should be fun and maybe a little terrifying since I haven’t skated since last summer. I would also like to do at least a short walk with the dogs at some point! oh and that reminds me—recently I read an article about the #1000hours challenge (which I think is a parenting tiktok phenomenon?) where families try to spend 1000 hours a year doing activities outside together. it’s obviously a bit gimmicky and I’m sure people are insufferable about it on social media haha but I do kinda like the idea of challenging myself to find more ways to spend time outside every day, especially as the weather gets nicer. I want exercise and social outdoor time to be a big part of that (I have some ideas for summer activities I want to try) but I also just like the idea of doing more casual hanging out and working outside. my sister got me a hammock for my birthday and my HOA just installed a big communal picnic table right outside my place so I think some future IUI cycle goal might be to build a habit of reading outdoors for 30 min a day on a regular basis. I’m not actually aiming for 1000 hours but I like the idea of trying to spend 2-3 hours outdoors most days this summer.

mm okay at this point I’m just procrastinating on starting the day sighhh. time to get up and face my job again.

Which site do you use fpr commission? Or do you use email? Because honestly i want to do commisions online but i am very suspicious of bots and scam accounts 😔

1. I take orders on all social media I have (twt, insta and deviantart, here i haven't yet had anyone ask for a comm)

2. Communication with the customers is done depending on what they prefer. Either dms on that social media, or discord, or email (which is very rare)

3. I have never been scammed by a commissioner. I've had only one instance when someone didn't pay me for months after I finished their work, due to things going on in their life, but they did pay me in the end.

4. Don't take commissions from empty accounts, if you're taking comms on social media. It's easy to tell if you're talking with a bot or a human if you start discussing details on the commission.

5. Ask to get paid upfront, or half upfront. I don't do that because of personal reasons but it's the standard practice.

6. I know there are scammers that might do chargebacks or not pay you at all after you've finished their commission. My advice is to be aware of the discussions you have with them. Do they seem actually invested in the commission they're getting? What are they asking for? Most. normal people who love your art will most likely be following you on social media, will have liked your art before.

7.I have never had anyone directly message me on email or discord for comms. I don't think I would trust just a random email asking for art.

8. You always have the risk of being scammed. Always , always ask to get paid before you send any high resolution final pieces. Paypal allows chargebacks. If you worry about that, I'm not sure about the legalities of using it for work, but kofi doesn't do refunds. I would look into their tos though, since it's primarily a donations site.

9. I have in my TOS (terms of service) that if a customer fails to pay me I reserve the right to alter the art I made for them and use it to make up for the lost profit. I also always check with customers that they've read said TOS.

Hope this helps. Doing freelance commissions online isn't always safe, but if you avoid obviously suspicious accounts reaching out to you, you'll mostly be fine! I definitely recommend DeviantArt for advertising your commissions and art and getting safer customers, most people there are at least art lovers if not artists themselves, and you can also see how old an account is. Someone who's been there for five or ten years is less likely to scam you, in my experience. DeviantArt needs some work to get your art to be seen, but if you learn to use the groups function and you wiggle your way into communities/interract with others, it's a more straightforward way to find customers than praying to the instagram algorithm gods to favor you. Twitter is also useful and in my experience has less wierd people coming into your dms asking for free art than Instagram does.

I have no clue! I’ve got no flagged posts and every couple of days (recently) I’ve gotten a notice that some years old posts need a mature label but I label them and send them on and I’m still broken!?

Like, I’ve tried opening my messages on the browser version of tumblr on my phone, and it just freezes completely. Can’t do anything. My tags aren’t even properly alerting people from what I can tell @werewolfqt

Why are so many of Hui’s new BP fans so scary? I think CUBE may nix a group comeback and only focus on a Hui solo. As much as it pains me to say, it may be for the best. I fear Hui’s new fans would unleash so much anger on the other members since it’s not a solo and would argue they take unnecessary attention away from Hui. I can only imagine their anger if a PTG comeback didn’t do well, they’d say the group brought Hui down. Some of these “fans” detest PTG and want the group over.

I don’t know. They’re terrible and I really don’t understand how you end up liking Hui but decide to be so incredibly nasty towards his best friends and their fans who are protective of the group Hui is in…

However, I really doubt they’ll just end up doing Hui solo stuff because Cube doesn’t listen to fans that much as it is (people have literally been sending batches of thousands of emails about Yanan for a year now), and Hui’s solo stans are…not that many in comparison to Universe. They act like they are more than us, but Hui still is the third least followed member on Instagram, he has about the same amount of followers as Wooseok. About 3000 people joined Pentagon’s Weverse after Boys Planet (the community currently has 45k). Of course, the ones who hate Pentagon and want them gone the most would never join that, but they would still follow Hui on Instagram, I’m pretty sure, lol.

I don’t even think a Hui solo would get much more GP attention than a Pentagon comeback, since everyone so heavily associates him with the group he’s been in for nearly seven years…?

I do worry they’ll attack the other members, they’re not used to Hui’s interactions with people he’s more comfortable with and I, too, am scared they’ll take the usual teasing as bullying or whatever (like jinyoung solo stans did with c.ix) :/ I guess we’ll just have to show that it’s what they’d usually like.

It’s actually wild how actively they hate and want the group gone, though. Where does the idea come from that in order for Hui to become more famous, the careers of eight still active and talented people who did nothing wrong need to crash and burn?

I also find it… very … unsympathetic how many people wanted him to “save himself” and it didn’t matter if the group disbands from him redebuting because he was acting smart and from a self-preservation standpoint, like, even if you’re not a fan of the others, do you really want their hard efforts to stay active ruined because it’s how you think the industry works? Do you think he’d like to leave and potentially sabotage his best friends of 10 years like that, because it’s “the way of things”? This creeped me out because there are “unis” talking like that too, and if he wanted to do it as an individual disconnected from the group or whatever (Really? it’s Hui we’re talking about) he shouldn’t have mentioned them in his intro, describing a fabricated situation no one else knew about that made the whole group seem less appealing lmao

The comeback doing well, well, we’ll (sorry, I had to do that) see what happens. I think there will be more attention from the general public/general kpop community (which would’ve happened if they’d had a comeback with Hui returning without the show too). I hope the k-unis who left because of Boys Planet feel like they can come back now 😔
