Sir Hiss, while still stubborn in his own rite, bit the bullet first (and thank GOD for that). He’d always been more affectionate than PJ and confessed his feelings in a very casual sort of light. He was probably helping the two royals get ready for bed and just mentioned that he loved them-

Then Frey just burst and immediately started reciprocating since he’d just been WAITING for somebody to mention it before him 😭 he didn’t wanna be the first in case they didn’t feel the same way

What would the adrift gang’s ideal days look like?

OHHHH THIS IS A FUN QUESTION...LET’S SEE...

Under the cut bc it long

I think Percy would love a beach day with the whole gang! He’s not a morning person at ALL but he’d want to get an early start to get as much out of the day as possible. (That said, he WILL get sleepy in the early evening.) They’ll have a breakfast picnic on the beach, and once the sun is high in the sky, they’ll go swimming! When they get tired, they’ll take a break on the picnic blanket, and then go look for cool shells and rocks and perhaps crabs <3 They’ll watch the sun set over the water, maybe from the docks so they can watch the ships, and Percy will probably fall asleep on someone’s shoulder. Florence and Hawthorne will fight over who gets to carry them home, but in the end Mariposa does it, and they all cuddle together in a big bed and fall asleep.

Hawthorne wants to perform! I haven’t decided on an instrument for her or anything, but she feels like a jack of all trades, y’know? Like, she absolutely dances and sings, and maybe a lute is overused in fantasy settings, but y’know what? Who cares! Maybe she’s a little good at a lot of instruments! She starts her day picking up a custom made outfit (that Florence paid for, of course) and then goes to a little corner of the woods to rehearse. And then that evening, they change into their outfit (something flamboyant and green!!) and go to the venue, probably a cozy pub, where the rest of the gang is waiting. They perform, and it’s fun and energetic and they pay special attention to Flor and Percy and Mari <3 When it’s over, they all have dinner and drinks and laugh and it’s wonderful!!

Mariposa would like a cozy day in. She wants everyone in one place, safe and sound, and relaxed. She gathers them all in the library, where desks and chairs have been pushed aside to make room for the abundance of pillows and blankets she’s laid out. There are snacks laid out on the desks, and there are sun spots on the blankets. They form a cuddle puddle, and Mari grabs a book and reads aloud to them. She runs her fingers through Florence’s hair. Percy snores softly, seeming to sleep soundly for the first time in a while. She used to do this with her sister, and she feels at peace. They stay in the library all day, eating snacks and reading books and chatting, and just relaxing for the first time in a long time. 

I thiiiink...Florence would like to go to a festival. I don’t think he’d want to be there for the whole day or anything, but maybe he takes the gang later in the afternoon! They get yummy festival food, and they watch people perform. Hawthorne chats the performers up, of course, and if there’s a joust? Oh, Flor, Mari, and Hawk are ALL watching rapturously, placing bets, chatting up the jousters, EVERYTHING, while Percy rolls his eyes, but he’s secretly enjoying himself. And then there’s the market, which is Florence’s favorite part! They spend. SO much time. At the market. Honestly Flor is fueling the local artisans. He gets gifts for everyone <3 When it gets dark, they get more snacks and head to the docks to watch the ships, and Percy makes pretty magic lights.

I don't know why I struggle so much but I am getting...somewhere. #Meta time: God damn I love how the chimera shows off the expertise and gap between Kabru and Laios. #The truth is: they are both *right* and they are both *wrong*. #This creature is a combination of monster and human and they only have the skillset to deal with one of those. #Kabru goes for all the human vitals - but she isn't human. #Laios tries to approach her as a monster and is struck down by the humanity he sees in her. #She is something new that defies what they *both* understand about the world. And that makes her such a perfect antagonist. #The damsel was the dragon all along! #...She is really so cute though. Terrifying! But adorable. I am so excited to see the boom of fanart for her.
