synopsis. when a certain special song comes on, you and riki meet eyes across the large and crowded room, moments before he decides to ask you for a dance.

a/n. so many ppl ik are graduating hs this year and so this is rlly giving ✧ prom ✧ ,,,,,, i miss my prom :’> even tho it was kinda sorta a big disaster ,, but uh ,,, that’s a story for another time :’>

the mildly chaotic atmosphere mixed with the heat emitting from hundreds of bodies filling the room, you swayed side to side, doing your best to mask the hidden gloom you were feeling inside.

you had come to your school dance with your friends, but being too immersed into the music and the energy of the night, they eventually found themselves drifting off to go dance with others they took interest in, leaving you all alone at the corner of the dance floor, moving around awkwardly to look like you were busy and enjoying your time, when really, you felt lonely and pathetic.

eventually, the upbeat, hype song ended, and on came one you immediately recognized to be by none other than fujii kaze, one of his pieces called nan-nan. you smiled at the memory it brought to you from a few months ago…

you were sitting in class beside one of your peers you wished you had the opportunity to grow closer with, nishimura riki. after knowing him for some time you found there was some unique charm to him, from the way his boxy smile would fill the room with a glowing aura, to the way he would make those around him laugh at his silly behaviour. there was just something so attractive about him, and one day you began to realize the way your heart would pound abnormally whenever he would do as little as say your name; or the way your stomach would flutter with butterflies whenever he would share a new favourite song of his with you, and how his eyes would light up whenever you expressed that you liked it.

you began to like this boy called riki ever since.

and so when nan-nan began playing, the instrumental in the intro leaving the speakers and filling the echoey room, you somehow found and locked eyes with riki, perhaps through some crazy coincidence or maybe by fate, and you smiled at him immediately before he returned it, as you were reminded of the time he happened to share that exact song with you in class just a few days ago.

he was dancing with his own friends and having a good time, but after meeting eyes with you, he immediately made his way over with that goofy, excited grin on his face. and your heart went wild.

he looked stunning in his white button-up, sleeves rolled up to highlight his forearms perfectly. it was a typical outfit for all the guys at this dance, really, but somehow, in your eyes, riki pulled it off infinitely better than any of the other hundred boys in the large room, dancing their worries away.

his hair was slicked back, exposing his forehead which you didn’t get to view every day, for most of the time it was hidden under his fallen bangs.

and why was he looking so stunningly tall today? there’s no way he could have grown so much in just one day…

and before you knew it, the boy with the growing grin was standing in front of you with a hand out, asking for your own.

you glanced down at the welcoming gesture and gulped before blinking and looking back into his eyes that searched your own.

“you looked a little bored dancing all the way over here, but the fun is in the middle. wanna join me?” he proposed, practically yelling to get his words in over the blasting music. “and plus, it’s our favourite song.”

‘our favourite song.’ just at the use of a simple three-word sentence, a heat stronger than the one already surrounding your body made its way up from your neck, all the way to your ears.

you nodded, accepting his invite and placing your hand in his before he smiled at you and led you to the middle of the dance floor.

he turned to face you, and you chuckled, voice wavering.

“your hand’s shaking,” he pointed out.

“a little sweaty too, i guess—sorry,” you blurted out.

“are you nervous?” he asked with utmost care in his voice, a contrast to the usual tease he was to those close to him.

you pressed your lips together before displaying a small smile and tilting your head side to side, a way of saying ‘kind of, maybe a little.’

understanding and giving you a look of empathy, he grabbed your other hand before bringing them to his shoulders.

“just follow me, okay?” he told you.

and you nodded, wrapping your arms around his neck as his met your waist.

you two then danced along to the music that made your hearts happy, and you found your nerves disappearing in an instant, forgetting any stresses that were previously on your mind as you enjoyed your time together in each other’s hold.

and whenever he wanted to change things up once in a while, being the dance talent he was, he would guide your body along with his in moves that were simpler to pull off than they looked (but maybe that was just because he was a natural when it came to this kind of thing), leading you to do turns here and there, or pulling your bodies apart and then meeting closer once again. anything he did with you on that dance floor made you two look amazing amidst enjoying your time with one another, and he just made the experience all the more worthwhile.

and whenever his moves would slow, he would take that time to dramatically sing his heart out, and you’d follow along playfully, making each other laugh.

once your favourite song ended and another immediately began to roll around, both your movements naturally slowed, and he pulled away slightly before speaking.

“thank you for the dance.”

“thank you,” you smiled softly.

he smirked, “your dancing’s not too bad.”

“i could say the same for you,” you followed with a chuckle.

“we should do this more often,” he suggested. “or maybe that’s just an excuse for me to show you more songs sometime, who knows?”

“you know, both don’t sound too bad to be honest,” you replied.

“yeah?”

“yeah.”

“cool,” he said, unable to hide his proud smile for just getting the girl he liked to do some of his favourite things with him in the future, in the form of which was already sounding like a potential date. “in the meantime, this song sounds a little too good to skip out on… care for another dance?”

he held out his hand to you for the second time that night, a smile painting his lips.

“i’d love to.”

a/n. so story time in regards to the prev a/n bc i have no love life <//33 ,,, basically at my prom one of the literal four things i remember from that night was how me and this old guy friend who i kinda liked at the time and i think he liked me too (but we drifted apart a couple years ago,, and to put this into perspective, this took place exactly one year ago) kept making eye contact throughout the whole night and created this super thick tension. ok the thing is :’> i hadn’t seen him for a whole year cuz he graduated the year before me, and we used to be pretty good friends but didn’t rlly keep in contact after not seeing each other for one whole year. and so we kept making eye contact, probably wanting to say hi, but it eventually came to the point where it would be awkward cuz it was so obvious we had both acknowledged each other’s presence for the past 30 mins !!! it was so awkward omg and jsnsjd wait hold on don’t even get me started on how we even ended up later then sitting at the same table but still not saying a word to each other djdndjd T-T and then by the time we all finally went our separate ways, i was left feeling a sense of emptiness and regret T-T ,,,,,, the tension y’all i cannot stress it enough !!!! ugh ihateitihateitihateit but anyway, switching topics while i try to erase this forbidden memory from my mind all over again,, about the drabble, i hope you guys enjoyed <3 if you did, letting me know through more than just likes (rbs, comments, asks, etc.) helps out a lot !! i rlly appreciate it, thanks for reading !!

at first you're like very inquisitive of where she came from (considering that you view her as a man at this point), how she enjoys the party and what not

then you're suddenly like ik what you're doing. you're not from here.

Mizu's thrown off bc haha this is an international gathering of sorts and like ppl here are mostly foreign

you're like well its bc you're so obvious when it comes to occasions like this that I've already spotted you from a while back

and so youre like dancing and all and Mizu has no choice but to extract info from you

she reveals that shes looking for a white man, and that he may have connections here in the ph

and coincidence cuz you, who's also a part of the resistance, have been tracing the weapons provider of the spanish army.

so you guys work together. you give her intel, she helps you hunt down the provider and their little goons

it kind of starts like an enemies to lovers .... kind of a forced situation where Mizu has to deal with the resistance in order to get to what she wants but rlly theres no other way around

despite your privileged upbringing, you're deeply interconnected with your roots, and have been fighting for the filipino people

you guys fight over the simplest of things, like how she doesnt wear things right or holds weapons correctly

you definitely bond over weaponry though and its history. the first time you've seen her katana, you were so amazed. in return, you showed her a kampilan—a sword carved and forged by your grandfather. she had so many questions.

yeahh overall i think what pulled you together was your shared anger and desperation for justice. No matter the situation, whether it be a resistance against oppression or looking for the man that caused a hellscape within your life, y'all resonated with the emotions and trauma that came with that.

Hi!! I was wondering if you could write something for aegon along the lines of aemond and reader are married but bc aemond wants to give her space and “spare” her of his company and doesnt wanna scare her bc of his appearance and demeanor they dont talk at all and theyre like strangers, sort of like aemond thinks he’s doing the right thing by leaving her be but in reality she just wants to be loved by her husband and one day aegon finds her sobbing about aemond bc she just wants to be loved by him. Bc shes crying abt his “perfect” brother he feels better abt himself bc hes thinking “my brother isnt the perfect son” and so he decides to befriend her and they kind of bond over the fact that theyre both really lonely in kings landing. Ik this is probably rlly off for his character tbh so if you dont want to do it thats okay! Ik some ppl r really iffy abt writing abt aegon so if thats the case just ignore the ask im sorry to bother! But I love ur writing sm and hope u have a great day~

gwen’s note: i need to say this before writing your req because it is important to me. but i really think aegon, as well as many other characters from hotd, is very complex. however we can’t overlook the awful things he’s done, that’s why i think that the only way of writing him is by trying to understand from where it comes, why he is the way he is, etc. (but not defend him, never defend him for being a rapist) and diverge from his character. hotd writers made it really hard to sympathize with him given that the first scene they gave us of older aegon was THAT scene. and again, i would never defend aegon from what he did, that is inexcusable, it does not matter how much he suffered or how alone he feels, he should have never done that. that is why if i write aegon i would always try to get as close as possible to what i think of this complex character (just as i have been doing with aemond) and always have his feelings and experiences in mind, i will never minimize what he and everyone has been through. and bc in fanfic you can write whatever you want, i’ve been saying that since the beginning. aegon is not a good person but i believe that if they give him a chance, he would definitely try to be better. and i fully believe that aegon has a heart and deep down he cares, we see glimpses of that in the show. so after saying that, if i diverge from what the show has showed us about aegon or what YOU think about him, remember that everyone has their own opinions and if you don’t like them, be respectful and simply block me (this is not directed at you but to everyone in general). hope you enjoy! <3

crying in public was not a good idea, but being under the weirwood tree made you miss home.

“do you feel well?” a man’s voice startles you, and you are quick to wipe the tears still falling from your eyes, trying to pull yourself together before turning around.

you are surprised to see prince aegon standing a few feet away from you, genuine concern on his face.

you want very hard to say yes but you can’t say the words, so you just simply shake your head as more tears start falling from your eyes.

aegon doesn’t know what to do. he never knows what to do when someone cries in front of him, he’s not used to this kind of behavior. he can’t remember a time when someone from his family cried in front of him and he comforted them. or if they comforted him. because that never happened. so he doesn’t know if he should keep walking and leave you alone, or ask what’s happening. however, his legs are moving towards you before he can make a decision.

and you don’t know what to do. should you excuse yourself and run out of there? but your legs don’t move and your eyes can’t leave his face, lilac gaze studying your body, but not in a creepy and sexual way. it’s also the first time you and the prince are alone and you thought when that happened, you would feel uncomfortable, rumors fly fast inside and outside the red keep and prince aegon is the main protagonist in all of them. however you feel strangely calm.

“does this have to do with my brother?” aegon dares to ask. he knows your marriage is not an easy one, mostly because aemond is very cold towards you. he has seen you alone together just a couple of times and in all of them you’ve been looking sad and uncomfortable while his younger brother showed nothing with his expression.

it is sad to know prince aegon knows why you’re sad. does everyone in the red keep notice how unhappy you truly are?

aegon sits beside you, his hands on his lap as you move away making space for him on the little bench.

“i just feel so… alone.” you let your guard down, after all he is the one asking and you so desperately need someone to talk to, anyone, and if that person turns out to be the prince, then so be it.

aegon laughs bitterly, looking to his feet playing with a few leaves that had fallen from the tree. he knows that feeling too well, he has been feeling alone his whole life.

“and— and i can’t say anything to him because he doesn’t listen to me. it’s like i’m talking to a wall.” you sob, wiping your nose with the back of your hand.

prince aemond is your husband. but he’s also a total stranger too. you barely talk, he almost never looks at you and you haven’t consummate your marriage, something everyone is expecting for you to do. but how are you supposed to do it when he openly shows how much you bother him?

“i’m a burden to him!” you hide behind your palms, tears still falling from your eyes.

aegon feels a little better to know that his brother is stuck in a loveless marriage just like him. they might be very different but neither of them were able to escape from duty.

however, aegon feels something weird growing in his chest, something that doesn’t make him feel that much better. not while knowing that you’re hurting because of his brother.

aegon parts his lips, debating whether or not to say what he has not say to anyone. ever. because open up to someone is not something aegon targaryen has done before, he’s pretty good at hiding his feelings in a bottle of liquor. or a couple.

“i feel alone, too.” aegon looks for the right words but they don’t come to his mind and he feels very vulnerable. “i am a burden to everyone. my family. the servants. my own father doesn’t want anything to do with me.”

what the prince says is no surprise to you. you’ve heard the servants talking about the prince and how they wish to never be in the receiving end of one of his outbursts.

“see?” he says and you lift your gaze, turning to look at him, who is already looking with his lips curved in a small smile. “we have something in common! we’re not entirely alone.”

the kind gesture of prince aegon of trying to make you feel better is not something anyone would do, not in king’s landing at least, much less by saying something so personal. but it makes you smile through your tears.

it is strange, sitting on a bench with aegon targaryen, talking and being vulnerable. this definitely wasn’t on your list this morning when you woke up, but it is something you’re always going to remember.

“now,” aegon says, drawing out a handkerchief and holding it out to you. shyly, you accept it. “i am sure you miss home and i have nothing else to do… so why don’t you tell me everything i need to know about winterfell?”

your heart fills with pride and longing. and as you wipe your tears you start telling him about those cold and happy days of your childhood while prince aegon listens very closely.

and YES you get it omfg…..the little freak plagues my mind constantly he is SO loved and supported by his family. he’s a very practical guy to me so unless he’s going out for work or has visitors or something he can’t really be bothered to get dressed up or bind. he used to when he first started working in the castle,, but now he feels a lot more comfortable there and if he’s just gonna be hanging around at home he’s not gonna go through all the extra effort. and him feeling safe enough to do that is SO important to me!!!!! it makes me so unbelievably happy that people are able to notice all those details and i’m just so,,, oughggghh

ALSO!! the detail of the binder in particular is actually one of my favorite things i haven’t really gotten a chance to talk about it here…..i’m kind of a history nerd also and although tts doesn’t really have a set time period (and i honestly don’t want it to), i enjoy adding in some historical references here in there cuz i just think it makes the world feel a lot more immersive. but heres a fun fact for you if you want to read:

most modern binders are made up of some kind of nylon or spandex, both of which weren’t invented until around the 1930s or 50s. most people use bandages to portray trans characters in fantasy settings, but bandages by themselves wouldn’t really do much unless they were compressive, and compressive bandages as we know them today also weren’t invented until around WW2. THIS is where corsets come in.

corsets get a rlly bad rep most of the time honestly, because for some reason most people are still convinced they were like. medieval torture devices. and they were used to promote a slim silhouette a lot of the time but so were a LOT of other garments!! corsets alone were undergarments worn on a day to day basis, both by rich and working class women and even by some men in the victorian era. they were just used the same way we wear bras today!! it wasn’t any different!!!

but boned garments like this also had the ability to shape and form the body, and though obviously i can’t confirm anyone was making corset binders in the 1800s people have been able to make modern replicas with similar materials that have almost the exact same effect as a modern chest binder, which tells us that it would’ve been completely possible for someone to hide their chest with a corset like garment AND!! it was quite literally PROVEN to us during the 1920s flapper era!!!

i could go on and on about the flapper era and it’s influence on the general social culture but basically, a LOT of inherent gender roles were being challenged, so women were wearing shorter skirts and haircuts, and women’s fashion trends in general started to take on a much more androgynous silhouette to reflect that. a boxy, more boyish shape was actually strived for and a lot of women with larger chests would wear bodices advertised as “bust reducers” to create this appearance, a lot of which were made with similar materials to corsets of the time!!!

they obviously aren’t exactly the same as a binder we would have today but its shockingly similar i think, and it’s just neat to know that people really have been doing this stuff for centuries :’3

okay, so i've been doing some thinking. i've been scrolling through your blog and i stepped upon these "cheating on cove with Baxter and the other way around" scenarios. (i'm sorry, i wasn't able to read them, my heart couldn't take it ;-;) but!

what if mc was like, in a normal relationship with Baxter. you know, a couple, maybe married later and stuff, while of course still being besties with Cove. later mc and Baxter have a kid together, maybe still a small baby but! plot twist! Baxter gets into an accident or something and dies. (i'm sorry, he's my favourite man but i had to kill him for that scenario:'))

mc is completely devastated and also a little panicked, because what about the baby? and then Cove stepps in, deciding to help his best friend take care of the little one and basically becomes its father. i recently watched a video of a dog "helping" a cat take care of her kittens, and there you have it.

this one may be boring, so feel free to ignore, but i can't stop thinking about it.

which technically you haven't, since you've never dated before. but cove would go so far as to find out your favorite color, song, animal, food.. all over again, even though he has it memorized and knows your likes better than his own.

once cove is sure you're ready for this (after much talk between the two of you and even with your therapist that yes you've made enough progress and are emotionally ready for this) does he finally put a label on it

now if you get married...

I imagine cove won't propose at all

like I think you'd have to talk n almost beg him...

in that case he would do a small but grande gesture to propose. or he'd propose to you before you've even left the bed for the day... no inbetween

but like 8 times outta 10, you're gonna have to propose to him

he'd cry and hug you n say yes of course.

and unless you want to keep this outta your wedding, I think cove would include baxter in your wedding.

first, ofc you'd have the picture to honor his memory

but I think he'd even go so far as to have smth in his vows. but to start, he'd say smth like:

"I know the reason we became closer was unfortunate, but I'm so happy to be able to call you and [Child] my family. and I hope I can be a good father and husband"

and "baxter will always have a place in our hearts. even though he and I didn't get along at first (watery chuckle)... I'm glad he got to love you, and I hope he trusts me to love and cherish you the same way as well.."

also if you don't want to give up your wedding ring from baxter, I think cove would even go so far as to suggest combining it with his.

okay now, for YOUR bands, I imagine they're either black or silver and yk those infinity(?) bands? that has the 2 types of metal or whatever

that's what cove would suggest doing. and if you are worried abt people asking why your bands are different, he'd get the same twisted band but silver with say a black diamond or smth. just smth to make it look like it's intentionally different colors but same design or smth

or if you don't wanna do that, I imagine you can just slip it on a necklace or leave it as is, whatever you want. he wouldn't mind even if you kept wearing it, cove would never ask you to get rid of baxter's image or memory in any way, not unless it was a real problem and your attachment to him/his things was unhealthy anyway.

now for baxter's band... well if you didn't bury it with him, I imagine you'd give it to your child

another thing I think you could do w your wedding band as well, and give them both your bands to do whatever they want with. or if they don't want it of course you're not forcing them to keep it

even though they didn't get to know baxter, the way you and cove still cherish baxter's memory does help them feel something of a connection.

I also imagine baxter would take lots of photo n video w the kid, even though they're young n just a babe, theres so many videos of baxter looking n acting so loving w them

and even a couple where he's teary-eyed n all "imma do you right by you. I love you so much.."

of course, if the kid doesn't feel that connected to baxter since they were too young to know or rmbr anything, and they don't feel anything much other than sympathy and the occasional sting when they see how much baxter loved them, you don't force it.

you both know that baxter was basically a stranger to them and even though they still respect baxter and he has a place in their heart, they don't feel like they're lacking anything.

"I don't really know what to say.. or how to feel... I see how much [P/N] misses you sometimes, and we have pictures of you, and they talk about you and stuff...

cove happily listens to anything they have to say on how they feel abt baxter btw. he accepts any of their feelings, be it that they don't feel anything at all, sympathy for others, or they feel sad abt losing him.

if they do say smth like how even though it's unfortunate and they feel bad for everyone who mourns baxter (for example/especially you), they see cove as their dad and don't feel like they're missing anything and they're happy to have cove for their dad.

ofc he cries n hugs them n tells them he loves em and he's happy n he comforts them if needed of course

I also think cove is very scared abt being a father

especially in this way... even if the kiddo doesn't remember anything, or it's hazy at best, he worries about replacing baxter.

he'd probably worry abt not living up to baxter

baxter was always much more mature, at least it seemed that way most times. cove just worries about if he has the backbone and the ability to parent the child well and be someone they can look up to and/or appreciate for being a good father

if they do it before you start dating, I imagine it's one of the catalyst that cause you to talk abt your feelings for each other. or if it's in the early stage..

cove prbly freezes and runs away to the other room n freaks out, definitely cries. if you don't talk to him like right after he calls his dad n cries n shares his worries n fear

either way, when you do talk he's biting his nails n trying not to pace around the room and he's like "if you wanna distance yourselves so that they don't call me dad any more I totally understand, I mean idk it's prbly weird for you-"

OOOH that's a tough one. once again not a topic im in a great position to comment on as i don't rlly watch streamers or keep up with specific internet personalities much........

im still gonna have a go at guessing though hehe

obv cat would be a beauty guru type. that's the most obvious idea for him lol. maybe mingled with other stuff like dancing and general fashion/clothing design videos? ik in canon he makes his own clothes sometimes, so i could imagine him posting videos about his clothing creation process from designing to actual sewing, although it would less be a tutorial and moreso just a way for him to show off lol. i can also imagine him making short little weekly vlog type videos where he talks abt things that he likes, esp food, or rants abt stuff he hates if he's in a bad mood. he'd also be infamous for getting into horrendous beef with ppl lol

lister....... i mean. my instincts say Gamer. he does play video games sometimes in the later seasons so yknow.......... i don't think he'd be dedicated enough to the idea of attracting a following to stream super often but he'd enjoy it occasionally. something tells me that he'd prefer retro games and weird little niche indie things but that he'd also have a softspot for sports themed games....... like a zero g version of the fifa games or smth lol

rimmer would post "video essays" that are actually just him infodumping unscripted for 3 hours straight into his grainy webcam with a shitty mic. he gets 5 views on each video. sometimes he might post a vaguely offensive political opinion that makes a couple of ppl mildly irritated at him and for the next 6 months he'll mysteriously talk abt how he was "cancelled" online even though it was like 3 ppl involved max lmao. but mostly it's just barely incomprehensible infodumping on his obscure interests i think

kryten would do asmr. not in a Weird way but he'd make like, cleaning and polishing and tidying up videos. those are activities he enjoys and i think it would make him happy to know that he would make others happy just by recording himself doing the stuff he likes. maybe sometimes occasionally he'd do a little q&a or the odd vlog here and there. he'd generally be seen as nice and wholesome but would maybe lose some viewers due to his instinctive tendency to do product placement every 5 seconds even without any sponsors

There’s nothing wrong enjoying your gay ships, but maybe don’t vilify female characters only bc they ‘get in the way’? It reminded me WAY TOO MUCH of my time in the Sonic fandom (I’m still a part of that fandom, always, love that silly blue hedgehog <3), and ppl would do the same to Amy in a lot Sonadow fics. WHICH DROVE ME INSANE.

I will always believe the hc of: wingman Yona, supportive wife Yona, or Poly Yona. They’re all wonderful <3 Just have these bitches love each other. It’s way more fun. I know once I complete TKSD I’d rlly rlly like to write a fic about SidYonZeLink, polyamory relationships are very dear to me, and I love exploring how complicated yet wonderfully caring they can be.

BUT OMG, I ALSO LOVE KENNEDUCK!!!! The Secret Confessions comic is just *chef kiss* GLORIOUS! I’m almost POSITIVE all of ya’ll have seen/read it, but if not—YOU BETTER GO RIGHT NOW AND DO SO!!! Their Yona is also so so so wonderful, she is so soft, and she and Sidon are so soft together. I love it.

I’m excited and nervous for chapter 5! I know a lot of y’all really wanna get to Link, but it felt important to write about the Sage’s to set up a couple of future events. I meant for it to be fairly short and then have a larger section dedicated to when they find Link, but thats… not exactly what happened. Atm the doc is at an even 19k word count (dunno how i managed that), and i still have a decent amount of things to write, SO…. Yeah. A lot of this chapter is really just about the Sages and the Sage’s bonding. If that’s not what you want than you can obviously wait til chapter 6, which spoilers, will be Link’s pov and ONLY about his recovery.

school of dragons baby whispering death model t pose my beloved

whispering deaths will forever and ever be my number one fave dragon. they were so important in riders/defenders and i thought they were just the COOLEST. they have rows and rows of teeth that rotate to dig through the ground which is so often SOLID ROCK on those islands in the barbaric archipelago and blow RINGS of FIRE?? ALSO THE LACK OF IRISES AND PUPILS UUUGH THE GHOSTLY EYES!!

she's a bog burglar who's a musician!! she plays the lute mostly but she dabbles in other things!! the flute, pan flute, the lur (basically a wooden trumpet vikings played!!), and more!! she genuinely enjoys making and playing music and she uses it to her advantage! she plays in public places to distract people while her fellow bog burglars are pickpocketing :)

she's born and raised a bog burglar, her mother is a bog burglar & she doesn't know and doesn't care to know who her bio father is bc no bog burglar does bc ew men. she's as vocal as any bog burglar comes and is not a fan of men. she's quick-witted, dry, passive aggressive, and very empathetic, despite trying to hide it due to a slight worry of judgement from her fellow bog burglars (some do judge, not all). she's all talk and doesn't have much of a bite but her talk will have you so confused she escapes or you'll be on the floor crying.

smth i've mentioned but haven't gone in depth abt is her fear of dragons. it runs deep and is paralyzing, due to witnessing a friend of her's and camicazi's be killed by a hideous zippleback during a dragon raid (bog burglars experienced similar dragon raids like the hooligans). when rumors circulate abt berk amassing a dragon army/training dragons she laughs and finds it to be the most ridiculous notion of all time.

until she meets snotlout and hookfang. hookfang helps her slowly get over her fear, although she nevers gets a dragon herself. she thinks snotlout is pathetic but can be alright (for a boy, of course :)) they're never in a fully commited relationship but when they're around each other they have each other's full attention & when ermintrude realizes she's fallen in love... he fell first, she fell harder. but at her core she can't bring herself to leave her life as a bog burglar and it's why they never marry. but they write to each other. she writes songs for him and he'll write poetry to act as lyrics & she's one of the only ppl he'll do that for.

depending on the au they have a child together :)

i'm still working on her and her story but!! i like developing characters as i write & figuring out how they respond to situatuons rlly quickly narrowing down their personalities!! i gotta do more with her ;_;

Haiii i wanted to know how u would feel abt my own current situation or life rn since i think ur pretty wise... im kinda rlly emotionless and struggle w it but i am in college and have no social life except close family but am rlly close to group of online friends :3 im not asking for help but i just wanna know how someone else would think

forgot to answer this when u sent it the other day, gomen anon <3 ur situation is very similar to mine. due to several factors such as my introverted personality & moving around so much all throughout my life, i have only 1 irl friend rn, and we are also in love, so it feels different than a regular friendship. however i have a lot of ppl im close to online. for my entire 20s i felt like this was a huge character flaw of mine but i,m seeing it differently these days.

even when i was a child i loved being alone, my mom always remarks that she found it strange the way i never needed anything from anyone around me, completely able to occupy myself w my imagination & playing alone. versus my sister who was very needy & clung to everyone like glue. people just have different temperments. there's a lot of societal pressure to fit in & be popular, which leaves the loner types feeling inadequate like there must be something missing from their life.

but every time i try to insert myself into the real world & make friends it doesnt turn out that great. usually leaves me wishing i hadn;t even tried in the first place. its hard for me to connect. i dont think that makes us emotionless </3 i just have a lot of walls that idk how to bring down. online it's easier for me to act like "myself". so i end up attracting ppl who resonate with the real me, vs. irl where i have trouble not falling into the same old routines of masking. i do enjoy irl interaction with people, but its hard for me to form deeper friendships that way.

tldr; everyone is different so just do what feels right, if ur content with the way things r dont change it just because its not "Normal" <3. -PMD9

OK heres my real cons list for fae farm after like 25 hours

1. some of the quests and shit are REALLY esoteric and unclear. like early on the mayor asks you to make a decoration "with flowers". this is not elaborated on and theres no early acquisition recipes that actually involve flowers or even LOOK like they involve flowers. and like any potted plant item will work for the quest but i had to google that. its BAD. thats kinda the worst example but like when your barn gets unlocked they basically DO NOT TELL YOU. the appropriate entires are unlocked in your almanac and thats your only clue that new stuff unlocked. or the fact that you have to buy alternate wing styles from the wisp mother but it never tells you that you just have to go back to the wisp mother and notice theres an option to open her shop inventory. what in the goddamn!

2. ive encountered one bug thats impacting my gameplay, where the animals in my coop have stopped producing. apparently its fixable if you sell and buy new animals but its like is it just gonna happen again. pls patch soon

3. the shallow npcs havent really bothered me, i click thru a lot of the day-to-day greeting dialogue anyway and my imagination can do a lot of legwork in fleshing out dynamics, im not worried about it. but one thing that IS very weird is that one of the non marriage plot npcs is nhamashals cousin right so nhamashal talks about how they grew up together in one of his date scenes. he calls this character by name BUT in the friendship menu hes just 'the marquis' and no one ever calls him by name that ive seen except in one of nhamashals mid to late optional romance cutscenes. thats pretty wild!

and i mean i know its shallow as hell like i said but its still disappointing that even if youre engaged to nhamashal mathelion (the marquis) doesnt mention it at all lmao. and ive never seen him mention nhamashal either, his cousin he grew up with. sad!

thats just an example where even if basically nothing else changed abt the romance characters and the way that worked they could still improve on the worldbuilding and shit just by acknowledging it

G5 MLP

It truly isn’t as bad as ppl make it out to be. I will counter every point Ik of that haters use against g5

“Sunny became an alicorn too soon and too easily”

We only saw the climax of her alicorn arc, which was the movie. You’d say the same thing if g4 opened w/ their “twilight becomes a princess” episode. Sunny worked all her life to try and change the minds of those around her, the only help she had was her dad who disappeared at some point in time. He probably died but whatever. She willingly let herself be ostracized by everyone in Maritime Bay except Hitch JUST bc they were doing and saying things she didn’t support, and thats just the backstory. I don’t know why ppl think bringing pony tribes back together again AND restoring magic to equestria isn’t a princess worthy task. She’s only a part time alicorn anyways, I believe it’s bc she didn’t create new magic but I won’t get into that here. I see ppl say “she did nothing compared to twilight” and it makes me so upset, if they want to boil down Sunny’s lifelong journey of reuniting ponykind to just a short adventure then you have to boil down what twilight did to “finishing a spell”. Why is being the twilight of your time not a princess worthy task?

2. “the animation is tacky”

Yes, animation in chapter 1 was a MAJOR downgrade from the movie, but that’s to be expected. The animators were just getting used to 3D animation in that style and they didn’t have that big of a budget to work with, the latest chapter was so animated it was amazing. I will admit, that thing where they lean forward and their hooves scrunch is kinda weird but it’s easy to get past with everything else to look at on screen.

3. “I don’t like how the show is set up”

I usually see this for one of two reasons, it’s either too “childish” or they don’t like how it’s connected to g4. MLP has always been a kids show, directed at young girls in the past but now it’s more for everyone. G1, g2, and g3 were pretty “mindless” and didn’t make much sense at times but we all still love them bc it’s what we may have grown up with. G5 has an actual story to tell, just in a simpler way bc it’s a KIDS show. G4 was a FAMILY show, there is an important difference. A family show may be inherently for a younger audience but still has the capacity to make older audiences laugh and enjoy the show, like Bluey. A kids show is a show just for kids, it may not/doesn’t appeal to older audiences, like The Loud House or smth. I’m not all that familiar w/ popular kids shows because the audience the show is meant for is too young to be on the internet. I personally enjoy that I can take everything at face value in g5, it gives me a break from all the complicated values and conversations I have throughout the day and in other more complex media. And for the connected to g4 thing, that wasn’t a choice made by the team for g5. Hasbro told them to connect it to g4 in hopes that the g4 fans will come over to g5, which didn’t rlly work obviously. Considering that they HAD to make them connected, I think they did a good job.

4. “It got rid of all of twilights hard work”

things change, history gets muddled and sometimes it repeats itself. It’s actually a saying that if you forget history you’re doomed to repeat it, we know that the things taught in Maritime Bay’s history classes are actually false and that’s why everyone went to disharmony again. Twilight and her friends are regarded as being from “ancient times” so g5 is millennias in the future, you can’t seriously possibly expect things to stay the same FOREVER. Equestria may be a magical fun land but it isn’t a perfect heaven. In the first episode of g4 ponies thought that Nightmare Moon was just an old mares tale, and that was just one millennium. Let alone enough to get the current time out of “ancient times”.

I rlly think anyone reading should give g5 a chance, you can’t knock it till you try it. The earlier chapters are harder to rlly love but it’s worth it, tbh that’s the same for g4. I tried to rewatch it from the beginning but I just couldn’t stand all the meanness to pinkie pie. We just have to remember that g5 isn’t meant for us, it’s not meant for an older audience. It’s a fun little kids show with a simple story, simple characters, and some songs. G4 got the exact same hate from g3 fans when it first came out and look how great it turned out to be.

In the end, it’s fine if you don’t like it. But you have to admit that g5 has done nothing wrong, it’s just not your cup of tea. Since when is a show deserving of hate for not being what you want it to be? When it’s not even for you?

@kissohee - its so hard to describe her with just three words! but i would say chaotic, lovable, and genuine. i never feel stress when talking to her and we've grown comfortable with one another quite quickly. i think we just have had this connection from the beginning and she just made me so so comfortable. she's also so loveable like im gonna hold her hand fr she's so cute. and she's so genuine, i always feel that she means everything that she says and it makes me even more comfy with her. she's also just like me we're both so random and we both talk a lot so its the perfect pace for me. the convos are always so fast like idk if ppl would be able to keep up with us and how much we switch topics LMAO but yeah! i hope that we just get closer and closer in the future and that she's always happy <3 (also open-minded would be a rlly good one for her but only her and i know why and that's the way its gonna stay LMAO)

@bubblegyu00 - energetic, humorous, and chatty,, our convos are extremely fast paced and go on for the entire day. i'm always laughing at smth or we're always losing it over smth someone did (usually a zb1 member or nicho tbh). she's energetic and keeps up with my pace and i do the same with hers. she also makes me laugh which is why i said she's humorous. we're always going on and on abt the same 3 things yet we never get tired of it like its gonna eat every single time PLS. @xhdream - we've started to talk in the dms now and dinna's such a sweet girlie :(. i would describe her as easy-going, charming, and friendly. dinna's sooo so cute and always so sweet to me and she has been since the beginning. talking to her has been so fun so far cuz she's very approachable and she engages in the conversation so so much. our time difference is very big so we have to catch each other at a specific time but it's worth it everytime. there's just something about her that's so fun and so kind and that's why i said she's charming. her and her blog just have this good and sweet energy that i really really enjoy <3

TW! ed mentions> tips on how to get ur binging under control

i recently got my binging under control which i forgot to say but it’s kinda obvious cuz i’ve been losing weight again and fasting! so i decided to share some tips i guess:

the first thing i’m gonna say is that it takes time! start off doing the easier things and then eventually u could bring ur restriction levels higher if u chose to! one of my biggest mistakes is at the PEAK of my binging i was doing all of the most difficult restrictions and it led to MORE binging!

-stay OUT of the house. if you get the sudden urge that ur gonna binge once u get home here are somethings u could do:

1.) go into a random store and buy urself something like gum, an energy drink, wtvr else and then enjoy that before you get home. listen to ur fav sadish or ana playlist while u do that and genuinely EVERY TIME my urge to binge goes away(lmk if u want songs)

2.)(not recommended if you are still deep in ur binge cycle cuz it could be dangerous to some ppl SO BE CAREFUL> you know urself, if ur still gonna binge on this don’t do it) go into a random store and buy gummy vitamins , they’re usually like 5-10 cals, even if u eat like a handful(don’t recommend cuz they're still vitamins but if u do it like once it’s fine).what i do is i buy them and then take tiny bites of the serving size or suck on them until they dissolve. plus it usually lasts u like a good couple months depending on how big the bottle or serving size is!

3.) just don’t go home until the binging urge is gone, take urself shopping, do something tedious outside your house!

4.) if you don’t live in a big city like me, they’re might not be as much to do! but don’t make excuses for urself, if u live in a boring neighborhood who cares, go for a long walk with a nice playlist or podcast! if u have pets, walk ur dog. it doesn’t sound that entertaining but i’ve grown to really enjoy my alone time walking. you’ll also get ur steps up! walking a lot is definitely gonna improve ur mood and a good mood is great to avoiding a binge

okay the second thing you should do is have 0-10calorie food options at home. this is definitely harder for some people because we don’t live alone! but if you hide little things around your room, you won’t need to go into the kitchen for stuff that you didn’t buy but ur tempted with!

-for example yesterday i had 5 calorie jello! the serving size was so big i almost didn’t finish it all

-i also crush ice in my blender until it’s super smooth like snow and add 0 calorie flavorings into it!

-i have gum ALL over my room

-0 calorie drinks

-tea

-coffee

3.) MAKE SURE UR DRINKING WATER. being dehydrated can make u feel like u need to binge, but realllyyyyy all u need is some water!

4.) -play tedious games like the sims! it’s super fun and u could make sims that look like u but at ur goal weight! ik that sounds weird but it’s honestly rlly comforting LOL

-another game could be roblox… embarrassing ik but it’s fun

5.) if ur like me and have a shit ton of hw or even work for ur job that you have been putting off, make a day out of it! bring ur laptop or ur work to a nice coffee shop or park spot if u don’t wanna do it at home :) the options are unlimited! and if u trust urself at home, do it there. the fact that you’ll have just SOMETHING off ur to do list is gonna make u feel so much better

6.) this is if ur at the PEAK of ur binge cycle: buy NUTS! i’m telling you guys BUY NUTS! don’t get discouraged by the calorie label, ik it looks like a lot but our body intakes calories differently with different foods and u absorb nut calories less than u would others if that makes sense

^^^they take a long time to eat and they’re so filling! i know that even if ur full u still can feel like u have to keep going but that’s never happened to that extreme with nuts for me! if this doesn’t work for u tho, think of another healthyish food

7.) if you can’t leave the house take LONGGGG baths!! like 2 hrs im serious it helps to calm u down and clear ur head!
