Can we talk about the chair scene in episode 6? The one where Crowley tidied the shop while Aziraphale was with the Metronome?

He was extremely comfortable in the shop. Crowley knows the shop like the back of his hand. He was most likely the first to visit the shop when it opened. In all the flashbacks you can see how comfortable he is with the furniture, choosing that chair by the window as his favourite. The bookshop is a safe space and like a second home to him (most likely first now that he's homeless and living in the Bentley). He's content because he's with Aziraphale in his safe space and he knows that if there are books, Aziraphale will be most comfortable and happy and that's all Crowley could ask for.

He can most likely resite where every book is and what they're about. He might act like he doesn't care about books but he definitely does, when he lets Aziraphale borrow the Bentley, he stays and keeps the bookshop tidy and makes sure not a single book is sold. During this time he also brings his plants with him (his second most priced possession after the Bentley) to the bookshop indicating he slept in the apartment above the bookshop (maybe in Aziraphale's bed??) which must have been a nice change of pace from sleeping in his car ever since he got kicked out of his apartment (what was that?? 4/5 years??). Most likely, he's spent many nights at the bookshop with Aziraphale just talking away or the angel working away while Crowley browsed or napped or read a book or whatever demons do when they're trying to seduce an angel.

Anyway back to the topic at hand: the chair. The chair reminds me of the one Crowley had in season one in his flat. The one Crowley had was a longer backrest and generally looked more royal and more dark. The one in the bookshop is a worn-in, bright-coloured piece that solidifies a piece of Crowley in Aziraphale's world.

So here is Crowley, miracaling the rest of the shop back to how it used to be except for the chair he takes personal effort to put back to how he likes it (the way it's always been and he's hoping always will be).

He's spent millennia carving out a place where he's safe and here, across an angel, in a shabby old chair he'd never pick for himself is where that place is.
