There were many things the puppet formerly known as the Balladeer needed to sort out. The Traveler and Paimon weren't quite sure whether he'd stay somewhat friendly towards them or whether they'd find each other on opposing sides again eventually. Nahida had argued that his path was unclear and no one truly knew where he was headed, least of all himself. So as a companion of the Traveler, there was still reason for you to be wary of him. Fortunately for you and him, you were never one to care much about being wary.
"You seem to be enjoying this", you teased and gave the Wanderer a grin to which he hissed. "This was the only way you'd shut up", he mouthed between kisses, holding the back of your head as his lips collided with yours once more. You didn't know whether he was doing it to feel something; to experience something people wouldn't expect from a puppet but you knew it was far too early to discuss any feelings with him. He'd just make a mocking comment and try to shut the conversation down. So for now, you were content letting him kiss you as he was sitting on your lap; another thing that was probably a bad idea to comment on if you didn't want him to exit the room.
Your arms were tightly wrapped around his waist and you relished in the feeling of how soft his lips felt on yours. He focused on kissing you more passionately to try and distract himself from how your gentle hold on him was making him melt into you and how weak the soft touches of your fingertips drawing circles onto his back were making him. He cupped your face with his hands, basically squishing it, and his tongue slipped into your mouth to meet yours. You kissed back equally as fervently, deciding you've had enough of his cocky attitude. He tried his best to ignore how there were goosebumps all over his arms and shoulders. But how he was feeling was evident in the way he pulled you even closer and sighed into the kiss, furrowing his brows. Your hand reached up to his face to gently caress his cheek. You smiled into the kiss when you felt him lean into your touch like it was the easiest thing in the world to do for him.
"Remember how you told us to just call you whatever? That you're curious what we'll come up with?", you smirked at him when you pulled away from him, having to place a hand to his chest to stop him from leaning in for another kiss, "how about 'love'? Or 'my dear'?" You teased and he crossed his arms, his expression darkening. "Don't you fucking dare. Who do you even think you're-" His voice cracked and got caught in his throat when you started trailing kisses down his neck. You glanced up to him to see he was blushing furiously, probably embarrassed by how easily he'd melt into your arms and how much his actions betrayed his words as he was once again wrapping his arms around you and pulling you close. "You have some nerve trying to tease me", he hissed and could feel you chuckle against the skin of his neck as you nuzzled him gently. He could snap at you all he wanted, you knew he was starved for love and affection. He may have plenty of enemies who should be scared of him but with you he was all talk and no bite. The way you kissed him so gently, the way you touched him as if loving him came just naturally to you, made his voice tremble when he tried to speak and made him scared he'd tear up. He didn't want to be vulnerable around you. Not yet.
So he allowed you to continue kissing him. "You don't let anyone push you around. I can respect that", he gave you a smile and a quick kiss to your lips, "I wonder what your companions would say knowing what you're like around me." He chuckled. You shrugged. "Are you trying to make me feel guilty for kissing you without Traveler and Nahida knowing about it? You know, I actually find this situation very amusing", you smirked at him and kissed his cheek. "At least you're not boring", he laughed and closed his eyes as you continued kissing his neck gently.
Everytime he'd try to make another snarky comment, your lips found one of the more sensitive spots on his skin, kissing them repeatedly, which made him struggle to finish his sentences or stutter, much to his dismay. You were trying not to chuckle at how sensitive he was, knowing with enough embarassment he'd pull away from you. You smiled at how his breathing got heavier when you kissed the spot just below his ear. "Relax, are you trying to break my bones?", you raised an eyebrow and chuckled and he noticed how he had grabbed your wrist and squeezed it a little too much. He let go quickly. "Mind your own fucking business", you could see him pout. You smirked and kissed his cheek softly. "I don't know, to me it looks a lot like you're part of my business now, don't you think?", he huffed at your flirty tone and decided it was time for you to shut up again, pressing his lips to yours. Your kisses were gentler and slower now, making him feel every touch of your lips. It was not that he didn't like that, it was more that it was making him feel more emotions than he had been prepared for. Still, he didn't pull away, allowing him to lose himself in your kisses.
You made him feel more than he felt in a long time. At least when it came to experiencing positive emotions. You made him feel warm and safe, something he had long forgotten. He held onto you tightly, part of him still fearing you'd pull away from him and abandon him, betraying him as so many people have. That you'd see him as an abomination and leave him lonely and broken. But there was something in the way you smiled at him that made him feel like you'd catch him if he let himself fall. That he should take a leap and the net would appear. He had been anything but kind to you and the Traveler in the past and yet you chose to hold him so gently; to treat him like he was fragile. You paid attention to every expression of his, to every sign of his feelings; ready to give him the reassurance and care he needed when doubts would arise. So he let himself fall.
Unable to contain the emotions he had bottled up inside him anymore, you could hear him quietly sob, tears streaming down his cheeks as he was clinging onto you. You hugged him closely, running your hands over his back to comfort him. You knew coming to terms with his feelings would be messy. His breath was shaky and he felt a little light-headed, biting down on his hand to muffle the sobs he couldn't stop. You held his hand, rubbing it gently with your thumb, signaling him I'm here for you and I don't plan on letting you go. Not now, not ever.
He eventually calmed down, resting in your arms. You were pressing soft kisses to his knuckles as his breathing got steadier. Your fingertips were drawing circles onto his shoulder. He may be convinced that he didn't have a heart, yet you never had a doubt that he had one. And part of it was beating for you. It showed in the way he was kinder to you than anyone else. In the way he'd melt into your touch and let you hold him. And it showed in the way he pressed a kiss to your cheek that night and reached for your hand when he thought you were sound asleep.

hi!! i was wondering if i could get your perspective on something, as i really respect the resources you share about being faekin and i want to know more about it! i am irish reconstructionist pagan who works with the good folk, and i admit that i often have trouble reconciling my religious beliefs with 'kin posts that i see. i was wondering, if you felt comfortable responding, what your perspective on the clash that sometimes occurs between faekin and the cultural evolution of the fairy archetype is? if this is offensive i apologise and absolutely did not mean it as such! i'm still relatively new to the nonhuman community (my nonhuman blog is foxwyrm!) and am trying to learn more about it :} regardless, i love your blog, and appreciate what you share!!
Hi! I'll start by saying this is not even a little bit offensive! I know you're asking a question in earnest and I'm honestly really grateful to get the opportunity to voice my perspective.
And really, I wasn't sure at first how to approach all of this at all. My brain and beliefs are scattered, and to be quite honest I make it up as I go along. That's why I used to be petrified of doing any kind of spirit work, especially with the Good Folk. So only recently have I combined my own Neopaganism with my Otherkin experiences. I am still learning. But I'm learning a lot, especially now from others who walk a similar path.
I'll admit I had to look up just to make sure I understood what an Irish Reconstructionist Pagan is, and it seems to be exactly what I was hoping it would be! I may not be strictly of that faith myself, but I'm highly grateful that there are people who are, who keep that alive. I'm so fascinated by pre-Christian Celtic faiths and I do wish it were easier to find the old stories. But stories survive through people, and I enjoy sharing videos I've found where Irish people who coexist with the Good Folk, talk earnestly about their faith and how it impacts their lives. I think those collective experiences are very real and important and culturally valuable. I see parallels in our perspectives, when they speak of mutual respect and of leaving nature undisturbed. I highly value the words of the people who live where there are said to be Faeries.
Still I'd hesitate to discuss being faekin with someone of that particular tradition. I do get overcome with doubt and worry about myself. Is my very existence disrespectful? Just yesterday I ran off into the woods in tears with a question of who, what, am I?
I have discussed being Otherkin with the trees before. I'm an animist at heart, and I like to keep company with the friendly spirits of trees often.
Tree spirits are good listeners, and they understand the humans they live with. When I talk to the trees, I don't have to explain what I am. I show them. They understand. They accept me. They don't judge or argue, and they accept strange contradictions like me being human and nonhuman at the same time.
I see lots of things in the forest. Things that renew my belief in magic every time in different ways. I have hardly a choice but to believe in all manner of beautiful spirits, fae big and small, even gods. I believe in monsters too, but I believe in myself more, and I value my autonomy, and so I choose not to let my spirit be harmed.
And because I value my autonomy, I am drawn to the Otherkin community, where you don't have to have all the answers, just be who you are and you will be accepted in the best of our circles. We respect each other's minds, bodies, and spirits, and each of us walks a parallel but completely different path into ourselves. I'm glad there are others like me, who don't know why they are nonhuman in some way, just that they are, and that we have carved out a space in which to exist as we are.
I don't have all the answers, and probably never will. But I find little congruencies that allow me to slip through the cracks between what is and isn't. Here are some of them.
Many Faeries do look like humans. Changelings of course, and selkies, and Hulder and Skogskra, and nymphs and elves and many others. And much folklore seems to have it that people who seem to be human turn out to be Fae.
But I was born to humans, I know that for sure. And as such, I consider myself a Human Fairy. Of sorts. Like I said, I value my autonomy, and my right to say what I am and be what I am.
For me, the difference between a Faery and a Fairy is that Faeries are the beings that already existed, living at arm's length from most humans for most all time. We only remotely understood them back then, we only remotely understand them now. But we respect them, and many do respect us back and seek friendships with us.
The Fairy, on the other hand, is that cultural archetype you were talking about. A Fairy can be created by a human, it can be a human, it can be a character, and most importantly, it can be the link between people and magic. I have an affinity for pixies and pillywiggins, flower fairies, gnomes, brownies, dryads, sylphs, and all manner of tiny winged beings of nature, and yes, Tinker Bell, who was my personal introduction to the Fairy world, and the idea that there are magical beings who live in another world but also interact with our world. My first 'kin feels' would have been daydreaming myself in Pixie Hollow/Fairy Haven as a tiny fairy with wings and a talent, just the same way Prilla blinks to the Mainland. I still clap sometimes, because I do believe in Fairies.
And I think that the spirit world contains multitudes. I think it contains Faeries and Fairies all at once, and that thoughtforms, spirits, fae, and gods are all a big part of what makes humanity who we are in the first place.
And even still, I don't know if I have all of my facts and beliefs straight. But I know that I don't have to. If I waited until I understood myself completely before going and living my life, I'd simply never get the chance to. And so I just go live it. As I get older I care less about the labels and more about the experiences. But I love being a Fairy. I love being Otherkin. And I love talking to the kindest of the Good Folk. And I'll love this whether or not I will ever fully understand any of it.
I truly hope this is something like the answer you were hoping for.

You haven't answered my other V ask so you might be wanting to move on from this topic but I just have to ask. Don't you find 10 million USD on album sales excessive?? I'm talking about V's fanbase by the way. Isn't that money amount obscene to believe? Not to sound too conspiracy minded Peachy, but how can a kpop fanbase raise that amount of money? Can they do that through legal means or should sane people be worried? Also don't you think armys are acting irresponsible wasting that money on albums that they don't use when they could be using it for charity instead? I really respect your thoughts so I'm hoping to read your reply. Thank you in advance Peachy.
***
So... you're asking me how a fandom that raised $1 million USD in 24 hours for a Black Lives Matter charity with zero notice btw, how the fandom that raised $100,000 USD in hours for charity in Megan Thee Stallion's name, can raise $10 million USD over a three-year period for albums?
It's basic arithmetic, is it not?
I guess it seems like a lot of money for someone uninformed on just how big the k-pop market is and on how much k-pop fans typically spend on comebacks (note: solo fanbase funds for Seventeen and Stray Kids easily exceeded $15 million USD this year, and it's reflected in their album sales). Also, I'm not sure how long you've been following me Anon, but when I talk about the size of ARMY fandom in absolute numbers, when we discuss things like fandom dynamics that replicate those seen in political systems, or insane ticketing rituals that are more complicated than those used by the Bey-hive, and merch prices etc, what scale exactly, are you picturing when I mention these things?
ARMYs are a lot of people. Lol I'm not sure you understand. And many ARMYs in my circle are working professionals and audiophiles who didn't blink when it came up in conversation that I've spent > $45,000 on speakers. Not trying to be a bitch, but I do think it's important context to know the demographics of the fandom, and to know most ARMYs just buy one or a few albums for themselves. Those with the means carry the bulk of the donations, however ARMYs huge absolute numbers also mean even micro-transactions or donations from people who perhaps cannot afford more, are several magnitudes more than in other k-pop fandoms. The ARMY fandom is literally constantly growing, and that's why BigHit can realistically stagger seven solo debuts in a one-year period and all seven artists will still outperform active k-pop groups.
"Also don't you think armys are acting irresponsible wasting that money on albums that they don't use when they could be using it for charity instead?"
I'm not sure I like your tone here. (1) Because it's pretty clear ARMYs can damn well do what they want with their money. It's incredibly patronizing to presume to know what other fans individually value or to dictate how you think other people should spend their own money, to presume nobody here can think for themselves to know what and how best to spend their earned income. We're in a hobby space, anyone who's already opened a fan account/blog is already in too deep no point sugarcoating it. We're here because we want to be and are getting something we still deem worthwhile for our own pleasure. So what if we spend whatever the fuck we want on our hobbies as within what we deem as appropriate? And (2) ARMYs already and comfortably do both. There's no k-pop fandom that's as heavily involved in charitable causes as ARMY. Take it from someone who's been around. Do you think mobilizing a fandom of hundreds of thousands of people to raise $1 million in 24 hours would be possible if that culture and the fundraising channels didn't already exist?
And this was before Dynamite. Before 60% of the fandom that's already here, joined.
The only place I agree with you, is in that a solo fanbase was so involved and could raise that amount of money in the first place. Because giving influence to solos is just a recipe for disaster. In my experience, akgaes are just fundamentally less intelligent people. Akgaes and solo stans or people who lean towards solo stanning (not including casual fans), are also more reactionary and impulsive, verbally/emotionally abusive, paranoid and prone to conspiratorial thinking. These are people with nearly zero ordered thinking skills and unwavering tunnel vision. They won't think twice about applying blatantly illegal methods or acting rashly if it means getting the result they want. If there's ever a massive scandal on the fandom or BTS, I can almost guarantee you it will be because an akgae fucked up or went too far. Also, I'm actually not certain all the funds raised by Taehyung's fanbase did so through legal means. That's what I mean about solo stans. Too many of them are literally just that stupid. And I mean, just by virtue of being a C-bar, it's fairly common for some bars to be linked to members of wealthy/political families in China and SEA. There's only ever been rumours, but it wouldn't surprise if it were true that some money involved was made by illegal means.
Which is one reason I hold on to my hope that people will refrain from partnering with solos, regardless of how things evolve for BTS, but given the way things are going, by 2026 the fandom will likely be a 65 : 35 ARMY : solo ratio, from what I assume to be 90 : 10 now. It's kinda bleak actually. But it is what it is.
Jikook will still be jikooking anyway and the music will still be dope. So BTS and HYBE will keep getting my money.

SIGH
Tumblr media
I think I've spent one too many blog posts addressing the complexities behind hybe finding the balance between respecting the autonomy of BTS as global superstars with all the privileges and star power they have accumulated and enforcing their company policies and contracts.
And I have ranted one too many times about Hybe and the Fandom infantilizing these grown ass men for yall to circle back and assume I would be insinuating at any point in my blogs that these men are boys who get treated like children by the company on a daily basis😤
While BTS are not children they are also not free to do whatever they want. I've said this a countless times. They are bound and constrained and limited by the terms of their contract with hybe- A contract I have said many times might be slightly different from one anothers.
Unless yall mean to tell me such a contract does not exist at all and these men are simply doing Hybe charity for working for them, thus can do whatever they please and face no repercussions at all.
Hybe is a company with it's own rules, principles, values and guidelines which I'm afraid are legally binding on these men as long as they have read and understood the contracts and have appended their signatures to it.
Some of these rules may just be soft guidelines or unspoken rules or even customary practices tooted in their cultural norms or business practices while others may be hard rules whose breach may sever the relationship between the boys and the company and ensue in law suits for damages.
The values and principles of hybe, which may or may not include guidelines on how to handle their private relationships so not to create a public ruckus, guidelines on how to film lives so a box of condoms don't just pop up on screen and have fans speculating, guidelines on drinking and filming live, or even using copyrighted music during lives as well as showing branded products on live.
Insisting on these men following any of these guidelines is not treating them as children. It's treating them as parties to a contract.
Also, while these guidelines may exist, the boys themselves may have their own laid out principles and rules which they apply and follow in good faith due to their own personal principles or based on their shared values. An example of this is them reminding Hobi they had all agreed not to film live content while drunk.
And as for scolding, notwithstanding the above assessment, they still get scolded or do scold eachother still. We all saw JM pop up in JK's live to remind him not to drink and film live. And Jungkook equally talked about the possibility of the company giving him a call.
However, this form of 'scolding' isn't as what most fans assume it is. Most fans when they think of bts being scolded by members or the company, they still picture the boys as these powerless voiceless individuals being controlled and told what to do and being punished if they failed to do that.
That might have been the case some years back when they were children but have you seen them lately??
Tumblr media
That said, they are still susceptible to peer "review" if pressure or scolding offends your sensibilities.
I've seen Jimin grab Jungkook's neck and shake him up and threaten to whoop his ass if he failed to do stuff for him on his birthday. That to me is scolding, review.
BTS are grownups but, no, they are still not allowed to discuss their private relationships or use their name image or likeness to promote their siblings' brands without the express knowledge or permission of the company- mind you that happened not too long ago.
BTS are free men but that freedom is exercised within the limits of their contracts, a breach of which comes with legal consequences.
Grownup or not they are still required to conduct themselves professionally for everyone's sakes. Showing up on set with a hickey a band mate gave you is anything but professional. I would have covered it with a concealer at least.
And Jin's expression- he might have just said it outloud. If it leads to fans speculating and spreading rumors and crossed eye media outlets reporting on it and calling the company to ask for a comment then calling them in and giving them a talking only seems fair.
I think in general BTS are treated with respect and reverence when they mess up these days, especially Namjoon and the hyung line. BUT being grown up does not mean being perfect- they still mess up and do an oopsie every now and then, and perhaps instead of a beating or having their phones seized or allowances cut, they are called into long meetings and reminded of the company guidelines and their obligations under their contract.
And perhaps to avoid a repeat of these mishaps they insist on the boys following the rules and guidelines to a T as stipulated in their contracts.
Yall get the nuances of this?
The black and white approach you take to some of these things when I touch on them can be a bit exhausting. Love yall tho
Tumblr media
And if you still don't get it, then I must ask you,
What do you think happens when BTS breach their contract or go outside the guidelines set by the company?
I don't suppose the company sends out flowers and a thank you note to them💀

In retrospect, it would have been wise to try and find another place to hide from the looming presence of the GCPD on your tails. But you panicked, worried that you didn’t have enough time to find another spot. So Jonathan would just need to accept it. Which he was having a surprisingly hard job doing.
“Look, I’m sorry, but at least this way we know the other one hasn’t been caught!”
“And if they happen upon the lab and find us, then we’ll both be taken in, and there won’t be anyone to preserve my experiments, to carry on the work until the other can get out.”
“Huh…yeah. That’s…”
“Please, just be quiet.”
He shifted from you, back against the wall, your body pressed into him, no escape from you.
“Would you like to…discuss the latest batch of toxin?”
“I absolutely would not. Shush.”
“We could play a game of I Spy!”
“In the dark?”
“Hmmm.”
He let out a dry chuckle.
“You know, for someone so smart, you surprise me with your stupidity sometimes.”
“I’m glad I can still surprise you after all this time.”
He laughed again. You were lucky you could do that, it had saved you from being reprimanded, or worse, on more than a few occasions. And it was such a pleasant laugh he had, when he let himself be happy, supressed the urge to maintain his façade.
“You annoy me so much, it’s almost gone full circle.”
“Does that mean you like me, Crane?”
He said nothing. You didn’t think he would. It would be too much to ask for him to admit any feelings for you beyond vague respect and gentle appreciation of your assistance. You instead had learned to live with his faux sardonic sentiments, taking them as statements of his adoration, whether they were intended that way or not. And riling him up was the best way to get him to utter those sweet notes of sarcasm that filled your heart with warmth.
“So, I get an intense, personal audience with the great Doctor Crane, no distractions around him and I’m not even allowed to talk?”
A deep sigh, his breath warm on your cheek, close enough to you that it warmed your face. You rested your palm on his chest.
“I suppose there are other things we could do in silence…what do you say?”
You spoke with a giggle, almost a mocking tone. Trying to get a rise out of him. Though you could feel his heartbeat rising with your suggestive touch, he pretended there was no interest, that he had no idea what you were insinuating.
“You’re very…I can’t believe no one has killed you yet.”
You leant in and pressed a kiss to his lips, just light enough that you could make out his features.
His lips tasted of stale coffee, cigarettes, and yet you lapped at them, savouring it. He pulled back, clearing his throat before he spoke.
“How much longer do you imagine we might need to stay in here?” He questioned, trying to calculate in his head.
“I’m not sure, but I hope we have a little bit longer together.” Another kiss to his slightly open mouth. “Is it wrong that I’m enjoying this?”

You know, here *takes you and sits you on my knee like an ol granpappy* once you give up trying to define yourself in labels for others, then you truly find identity in happiness. I've done my research in queer identities and seen historically how little it mattered someone what flavor of queer you were. All you had been in the past was someone who was not part of the big heteronormative culture and so you didn't deserve love, respect, dignity, rights, or even life. I don't need microlabels to make me happy? I can use them to discuss my experience, sure, but I don't use them to mark who I am at all points in my life.
You don't need to know or scrutinize every portion of my life to know my whole identity. Fuck it, I can't even remember the last time I even thought of a friend's identity beyond the pronouns they wanted to use for themselves. I'm not asking friends "do you still identify as a transmasc demiboy who is alloromantic and pansexual?" because that shit's their personal existence and not my business despite being my friend.
Being loose with labels is definitely something my circle is no stranger to. My friends are all reclaiming slurs and so am I, because what's it to you that I use your approved language if you deem me just as bad as the bigots do for not conforming to your style? My personal experience leads me to never have had a normal life, so why should I want your norms in my daily practice? I could go further into why I'm writing this on my furry blog, what I'm identifying as, but none of it matters. Over 1300 of you follow this shit and I think maybe 5 of you actually know my name, or even my pronouns without looking in my bio. You need to sort out less of what kind of queer you are, and more what kind of person (or not even that) you really want to be

Hey, just wanted to tell you I am sorry you are being targeted and your words are being twisted. I don't really see what resolution does that person want? To publicly self-flagellate? What do they want to achieve? Feel free to not answer this ask obv. Just here to offer you support.
Thank you I appreciate it.
The whole thing is very frustrating and quite sad. I agree with her on the issues of fandom racism. I have never not agreed on these things. She has been attempting to twist my words and use them against me but I stand by my words. With all things there is nuance involved. There is a difference between claiming that yes, fandoms are racist and in general lean towards shipping white male characters. Yes, I do think that had Lucienne been played by a white male actor and remained Lucien as in the comic that the ship might be more popular as well.
But thats not the same as claiming that all Dreamling shippers are racist. That if you DON'T ship Morphienne you are racist. The minute you start using racism as a reason to shit on a ship you lose my respect because its no longer about a genuine concern for racism and instead becomes a game of "my ship is better than yours". The minute you start mocking Dreamling shippers and calling them "delusional" you've lost me - I have a huuuuge issue with people calling shippers delusional I was in SPN fandom for fucks sake I had 7 years of people calling me delusional and I really don't appreciate it.
I don't know what the end goal was. Whatever it was, they were going about it wrong. I desperately want more focus on other characters outside of Dreamling, anyone who follows me knows this about me. My blog is very much a mix of all Sandman content, both show and comic, and I always reblog everything I can find about the other characters to ensure that creators of fanworks devoted to other characters are getting noticed and supported by the fandom.
I have also never denied Hob's problematic side. I have never tried to excuse Hob for his crimes and have had extensive discussions about this over the past year. I am baffled that this has happened now. I think it must be a build up of frustration over the past year as Dreamling has become more and more popular and dominated online Sandman fandom and whats so annoying is that I totally understand how that could be frustrating. I feel for people who don't ship it and would rather focus on Lucienne, or Calliope, or Rose Walker, because I have seen how little content there is for them and its not always easy to just say "well go make it!" because even if you do make it, its not getting anywhere near the amount of attention as a similar fanwork for Dreamling or Hob would get. But that's no excuse to resort to hateful rhetoric. That's no excuse to start pointedly claiming racism because you don't like how popular a ship is.
In the end I did block her. She basically told me too. I think if I didn't the conversation would have kept going round and round in circles. I don't like it though. I'm hoping that in time we can put this behind us and engage in civil discussions again, but it just all became petty with the flashing of receipts like "gotcha's" and racism accusations of anyone who hinted at disagreement.
I want this fandom to be a safe space for poc, and I want us to be able to discuss the racism inherent in fandom spaces without spiralling into shipping wars, and I will always be happy to engage with anyone who wants to discuss these issues and how we can tackle them appropriately. For the time being though, I'm gonna go pour all this energy into my Lucienne x Gault meta. Hopefully something good can come of this in the end.

I noticed the comments you sometimes get from people with NPD… as I have. It makes me laugh because the way they approach it… the way they try to get their point across is by using the very techniques that they’re saying we can’t call abuse. Gaslighting… feeling as though they deserve special treatment and feel they have a right to dictate our feelings and using a term that is widely accepted and used in mental health, emotional black mail, insults etc.
Do they not realize this?
Hi there thanks for your support <3
NPD is one of those disorders, lots of people love to talk about it but very few want to actually educate themselves on what it really means to have it. I think because "narcissistic abuse" and "narcissistic personality disorder" sound the same they like to get discussed in the same circles, regardless of how little they have to do with one another. I do try to ensure when it comes up on my blog I deal with it in a way people with the disorder find respectful so I really appreciate you coming to this page being open about your diagnosis and your support. It means a lot to me.
I tend to get abuse on this page in two distinct categories. The first is really aggressive violent abuse. Usually from people who are self diagnosed with NPD or ASPD, usually they self identify as narcissists and usually their blog is full of edgy posts about how cool it is to be a narcissist or to have a cluster B disorder. The second are mostly younger people in with leftist ideals who have all the right politics but don't really have any real world experience in left leaning or social justice spaces.
The former tend to be the group coming in with the vile abuse. "I hope you die", "your parents should have beat you harder", saying "you deserved it" in my post replies and flooding my anons with cruelty. Usually this group don't stop till they are blocked and I have had some come after me on multiple accounts just to continue the abuse.
I had one who wouldn't stop even after I'd blocked 4 or 5 associated accounts, so I screenshot his blog with his vile comments and shared it to a cringe subredit. Very quickly he went from powerful abuser to wounded puppy, posing as his own partner in the comments begging I remove the post as people with his disorder can't help it and people who are not narcissists should know better than to hold him accountable. My post stayed up and he's left me alone since then, but it does open a door to explore the mindset.
Usually, untherapised and undiagnosed people who suspect they have NPD have an understanding of what it means to have the disorder that isn't consistent with reality. They tend to think that NPD is "abuser disorder" and therefore claiming they have it gives them the undisputed right to abuse and bully whoever they like, however they like, and anybody who calls out their abuse are being ableists for expecting them to behave in a way that is generally expected in polite society. To them calling narcissistic abuse what it is feels personal, they know it describes who they are and they feel that it is an unfair criticism of their selves, after all, its the mental illnesses fault they're a cunt, right?
Generally I don't like to reply to this type on my page. It only furthers the misrepresentation of NPD, promotes their own delusion that this is normal behaviour for NPD, opens the doors for their fan boys to flood my asks and falsely represents people with the disorder as obligate abusers. It really isn't useful to my blog at all.
They know they're being abusive, they think I am being abusive too, they think it's okay for them and not for me because they "have NPD" and I don't. They know its illogical, they do know better and they're aware of the optics of abusing someone for discussing abuse. This is why they hide behind side blogs and anon asks. To me they're a great example that personality disorders shouldn't be self diagnosed and as they have nothing of any importance to say, they get blocked immediately.
The latter tend to abuse via gaslighting and stonewalling. "I hope you die" is a common one in this group too but its also comments like "you have no right to use the term narcissist", "just call it regular abuse" and accusations that I am armchair diagnosing my abusers with a mental health disorder I routinely explain on my page has nothing to do with the way they behaved.
Usually these people feel rightous in their abuse because they are convinced that they are protectors and hero's for people with NPD who (for some unspoken reason) can't speak up for themselves. Usually they too are misinformed about what NPD actually is and will parrot weird ableist notions such as that people with NPD "can't help it." (Yikes) or will assume that my abusers had NPD based on the descriptions of abuse that I share on my page (I have never disclosed the mental health diagnoses of any of my abusers.) They beleive that narcissism and NPD are one in the same and that accurately describing narcissistic abuse is ableism against people with NPD for that reason.
Generally they come in hard with the accusations of ableism and insistence that every abuse specialist and victim advocacy group who acknowledge narcissistic abuse are ableists, but will quickly stop replying when I gently ask them why they think the solution to this problem is to harass strangers running abuse recovery blogs and victim support resources.
This type of person is absolutely blind to the contradiction in their "support." They genuinely don't understand how making statements publicly like "you just want your abuse to be special" and "I don't care what experts say this type of abuse isnt real" is super bad optics for the group of people they're claiming to be protecting. Every person new to this discourse seeing that won't assume that the person with the long heartbreaking posts about getting yeeted down the stairs as a 4 year old and is openly disabled and neurodivergent is secretly a hideous ableist out to destroy people with trauma induced personality disorders, they're going to think that to support people with cluster B disorders you need to be pro abuse and anti victim support.
What's important to me is that when people come to this blog they're not coming to a place that unfairly pins their awful experiences to a mental illness that nobody who has it asks for. Whenever I get comments, no matter how well meaning, that present NPD as a disorder that causes abuse, I have to break it down and explain how it isn't, not for people who think coming to my blog to gaslight and harass me to jump on my side, but for the people coming here for support who deserve to be educated on what happened to them.

hi! I'm part of a traumagenic system,
and im starting to be less bitter about endo systems.
I'm mainly just asking why some non-disordered/non-traumagenic systems use the term alters, I'm also wondering why you and others use the term system anyway despite the controversy? especially given they both have history in the medical field
(alot of old plurality sources reference that they borrowed/where inspired by the term system, and I think another tumblr blog went into detail about it)
also I hope this doesn't come off negative or we are also autistic so i hope it doesn't come off too blunt or rude,
i just genuinely want to understand better /gen
I have no idea what controversy you're referring to, unless it's the idea that endo systems are "stealing words" by using these terms, but I'll try my best.
The term "system" has its first roots in the plural/multiple community, taking from the definition of a system as "a group of things working together"; the first self-identifiers of "plural systems" or "multiple systems". In the medical circles of back then (aka, back when the community was first getting its footing), we were mostly just known as "people with MPD", and not very well respected or even humanized, which made these early communities (and their budding discussions on self-identification and understanding who they were) important. So, as for why non-disordered and non-traumagenic systems use the term "system" – well, it's our term. "System" is a community born term that's been here for decades, and psychiatrists adopted the term from us, not the other way around. Even then, though, we're still often only known within the contexts of specific dissociative disorders; you're more likely to find a medical text referring to, say, a "person with DID", rather than a "DID system". Using "system" to describe yourself, whether you're referring to yourself as a system of parts, a system of people, or a system of some secret third thing, is to partake in the community building that has been going on for many years now. And also, as I'll go into more in just a second, it's just a very common term to use, which makes it appealing. Take just a few glances around any corner of the community and you'll find someone(s) who identifies as a system, no matter what the type or origin of system. Outside of the medical circles I just mentioned, it's pretty much one of the default terms for someone who is more-than-one.
Alters is, admittedly, more medical, coming from "alternate personality states", but even still... it's just the default term for us in a lot of places. "Headmates" has been gaining traction in recent years, but "alter" is still the more commonly used term to refer to any member of a system, regardless of their origin or how their system works. I can't really fault people for deciding they're going to use the most common term for who they are, especially when it comes to discussions with others. Think of when you wish to talk to someone about your system – "alters" is probably the term that a person unfamiliar with plurality or systemhood is still going to recognize and know what it's referring to, thus making the term appealing to those who don't wish to give a vocab lesson whenever they talk about their system. Moreover, a lot of these alternative words for "alter" are very based in the English language; when we speak to our French friend about systems, while we may refer to ourselves or fictional systems with terms like "headmates" and "others", she defaults to "alters", as that's the only term either of us have found to refer to system members in French. When a term is this common that it's the default in multiple languages, it only makes sense that systems of all origins and types would use it, even if they're not traumagenic or disordered. Aside from that, folks may have their own individual reasons, but as I am not every system out there, I cannot be sure what these are.
I think I have the sources for these things and more context somewhere in my #resources or #history tags, but there's a lot in there to sift through, so, dig in at your own discretion. I'll tag this post with those tags to help you find whatever. Thanks for being kind in your questions, anon. I hope this helps you understand just a little bit better.
Edit: I do want to clarify something, as I went back through my own tags myself, and realized something I spoke of may not be clear – in this post, I write about how "system" is a community born term, which is true. However, I mean this in the sense/context of "system" being a community born self-identifier that helped reclaim a system's personhood in the face of dehumanization, and the general attitude of this is still present in today's usage of the term, thus making the term something systems of all origins and types may wish to also use as a self-identifier. The word "system" does have psychiatric usage before the era I spoke of, but it was much more general, and, as I mentioned earlier, is still far from a typical term to use in medical texts. Furthermore, despite this history, there are accounts that suggest that terms like "plural system" and "multiple system" may have originated organically (without influence of this past usage of the term), and thus would not be related to this past medical context. It was only after the term became known as A Thing™ in association with being more-than-one that it actually started picking up traction and became known as something specific in psychiatric contexts, which is why I refer to psychiatrists picking it up from self-described systems. Due to all this, "system" is not often considered much of a medical term, but rather a community term. Apologies if that wasn't clear.

Hi Luta!
I have 2 questions for you, if you don’t mind answering them? The first is…what’s a white crayon? I’ve been reading along with your Love in the Air commentary and you call Rain a white crayon a lot but I’m not 100% sure what that means, sorry if you’ve already explained it somewhere and I missed it!
2nd, I’ve been reading another kinkster’s commentary on LITA, and they seem very caught up on the lack of discussion of kink between Payu and Rain (mainly Payu domming Rain— who is clearly uneducated about sex and kink —without any clear discussio. not going to name the person bc I think differences in opinion are valid). Now, I’ve been a long time consumer of BL and Yaoi, and discussion of…anything is rarely on the table, so it doesn’t really bother me. But I was wondering your opinion on so many shows that have some D/s dynamic not really showing the side of irl kink that I find really admirable and interesting, which is clear communication. Would you want a discussion of things like safe words, limits, etc. in a BL show?
Sorry if I used any terms wrong/didn’t address you right! I’m somewhat familiar w bdsm but I’m ace so most of my contact with it has been online and through other people, not personal experience. I love reading your blog, it’s refreshing to have a blunt opinion on something a lot of people are too afraid to discuss!
Hey Hey Anon!!
White crayon- Not the brightest in the box.
I appreciate you not naming or linking. I will never call out another kinkster for a different opinion or verbiage. Not all communities are similar. If it doesn't effect the safety of another, you do you boo.
If done right. Guidelines take days, remember this is lifestyle D/s not scene D/s and there is a difference. Depending on the couple and if they have been circling each other, the guidelines can be done in a more soft manner than a scene. I won't go into more detail than that not even if someone ASKS because all newbies should just know Safe, Sane, and Consensual. Anyone seasoned in Kink will get me and vanillas don't need to know.
So no, I don't want that in my series. I recognize movie magic for being movie magic. And I don't expect a show to represent us that much. I mean have you ever watched an investigation show, a lab result takes a hell of a lot longer to come back than that. Nobody wants to watch days of nothing. I hear it now, Luta! What if someone watches and thinks this is how it is. Then they are a White Crayon. You don't watch one investigation show and think you can be a PI?
You addressed me. It's called addressing because it's just like addressing a letter. You are saying, excuse me can I have a bit of your time. That's why we address a sub as well. Power imbalance doesn't mean a lack of respect. Unless they want it that way, I should say.
Thank you! I appreciate you taking the time to read my blog! 💜💜💜

I would love to hear more about your Angel !!
Tumblr media
oKAY SO ANGEL
his tag on here is angel (train’s version) for reference. also my old rp blog for him is @aithrioch which has some things like headcanons and aesthetics.
Okay gonna make an effort to not repeat myself though I also can’t completely remember what I’ve already said so B)
More emphasis on his time homeless. Like it’s brought up in more when it makes sense and it becomes especially important in ATS and becomes a point of bonding and discussion between him and Gunn.
Dating Buffy is probably his biggest lapse in judgement since wandering into an alley to get laid in the 1700s and it shows. Like he walked in knowing this was a bad idea, saw every red flag and did it anyway. It’s not a reemergence of Angelus behavior it’s Peak Liam Nonsense and it’s left his relationship and feelings towards Buffy very complex and fucked. I think from like BTVS S4/ATS S1 on his primary feeling towards her isn’t really love but guilt. Guilt over how much he fucked up her life and not just as Angelus but you know, as an adult engaging romantically with a teen.
Angelus has more of a Hannibal Lector vibe.
Heavy substance abuse in BTVS as part of coping. When we see him in btvs he’s literally JUST stopped living on the streets in the Depths of Despair. So in btvs S1-2 he’s smoking and drinking heavily to try and make it through another moment on this bitch of an earth. The drinking isn’t as obvious an issue until Buffy’s with him more. Ironically angelus drinks and smokes a normal ass amount because he’s not Lamenting and angel stops doing both in s3 since you know.... fresh outta hell and all that. don’t worry he’s back to chain smoking when he gets into ATS lol. It becomes a Running Issue with him and his Very Human and Lung Dependent Staff.
He listens to the smiths, the cure and similar music. He’s that kinda person. yes. also still listens to barry mannilow. he’s a man of many facets.
He’s Very Normal about Darla. So Normal.
Angel(us) has a Complex around his visual age and how it tends mean that he isn’t given much respect. Part of what fueled his actions back in the day was clout building so he’d get some fucking respect and stop being treated like a baby faced loser.
Circling back to the Buffy thing he realizes in ATS S2 that he perpetuated the cycle of abuse/grooming with her that Darla perpetuated on him. Because Darla 10000% groomed and manipulated him.
Darla and Angel have a Louis and Lestat vibe (but like..... more the new series version of them you know????)
Falls back into Catholicism after his time in hell for the comfort of it. he was born in 1700s Ireland where church was the center of life and Catholicism is like, the most ritualistic version of Christianity. It’s the familiarity and ritual/schedule of it that are comforting/helpful for him, less so the religious stuff. Even so ats needed more catholic stuff in it. Catholic ideology is a staple of angel’s thinking, the bedrock of it really. Literally all this shit about sin and redemption and shit is so aggressively catholic. He’s literally out here looking for a priest who can tell him how many Hail Marys he needs to say to atone for the Atrocities.
Is actually very jealous of Spike later into BTVS/ATS. When Spike’s hanging out with the Scoobies n shit just fine because Spike’s capable of that kind of interaction without a soul while Angel has one and still struggles with it. It’s one of the few things in which he gets jealous of Spike over, how easy it is for him to straddle the soul/morality/dark impulse control chasm. Like it’s very unlikely he’d ever say it out loud or tell the Scoobies but Angel knows just how difficult chip or no chip some vampires would find it to be even remotely civil let alone actually work with them. it frustrates him endlessly that Spike has it so easy.
Yes even as Angel he DOES have an EGO.
Angel(us) is just a metric ton of complexes in a trenchcoat. ATS is just a guided tour through them.
In my brain he’s a mix of Marcus from Deadly Class, Stefan from The Vampire Diaries and Hannibal Lector from the Movies and Shows. Along with some Columbo and Stock Lovecraft Protagonist for flavor.
He’s so pretentious, so lifeless and pallid. He’s like a drive thru attendant with an MFA in fine arts during a graveyard shift.
okay this is all I’m doing on this for now as opposed to the fucking NOVEL for Xander because I don’t have the energy/brain power for it now and if I waited for that to happen to write another novel it could be another 80 years lol

Hello, I'm a writer who wants to write a story that involves human trafficking. I've seen you're open to questions through your blog and your writing. I want to respect you and still ask if you wish to answer my questions. I don't want to be someone bothering you and force you to be a teacher.
While I'm not entirely uneducated on the topic, I would like to learn more to better inform myself. Especially for female readers/writers who I know around my writing circle.
Sorry, this is quite long, moving on to my questions.
Similar to Daredevil and Black Widow, if I'm having characters try and combat human trafficking. Not as a whole, but some groups involved, what are some tips on having my character be educated on the matter? Also similar to your one fic, I want to show that not the main character might not understand that it isn't as simple as removing the girls. Including, the way the operation works and the people who are involved might behave.
Once again sorry if this is all too much, and thank you if you respond.
Blanket trigger warning: I'm not going into detail here, but I'm mentioning a lot of potentially triggering topics.
That said - Hi! First off, this isn’t a bother at all! I am so passionate about this topic, and always willing to talk about it. Also, I am THRILLED that you want to write a story that will explore the complexities of human trafficking! The world needs more well-researched stories on this topic!
Preliminarily, I want to share this post I wrote a while back discussing some of the inaccuracies of human trafficking in Daredevil specifically, an in media in general. These are just good things to be aware of so you don’t accidentally perpetuate the same misconceptions, and you can even try to challenge some of these misconceptions head-on if you want your main character to start out believing some of these misconceptions.
I also think a good start for you would be figuring out what kind of human trafficking you want your story to address. Or maybe you want to address all kinds! That would just involve a lot of work. And certainly for the sake of doing good research, it will help to have specific issues to research. For example, in my DD/Black Widow fic, I’m focusing on domestic sex trafficking—primarily via pimps, but also, at some point, via porn. Trafficking via those two methods looks a bit different than trafficking that occurs in strip clubs, massage parlors, etc. It also looks quite different than trafficking perpetuated by gangs. (You mentioned “groups” so I’m wondering if you’re wanting to talk about the intersection between gang life and trafficking? I have a LOT to say about that…) I’m also focusing on sex trafficking rather than labor trafficking, but labor trafficking is also a horrifying reality, and one that’s often talked about less. And, obviously, I’m focusing on domestic sex trafficking rather than international sex trafficking. There are small discussions of international sex trafficking in my fic, but it’s not the focus. As you write your story and research, I think it will help for you to figure out which variants of trafficking you want to explore, because what applies in one case will not necessarily apply in another.
You might also want to figure out which issues related to trafficking you want to explore, such as:
the legal implications of sex trafficking
the relationship between sex trafficking and law enforcement
the psychological impact on victim-survivors
the idea of “rescue” (please be careful with this one—there are a lot of hero-complex narratives that want to “rescue” victim-survivors without considering the needs of victim-survivors)
what healing looks like
the relationship between sex trafficking and LGBTQ+ issues (especially the experience of trans youth)
what would lead someone to become a pimp/trafficker
if you’re talking about fighting “groups,” that again makes me think of gangs, and there’s a lot of interesting research out there showing how gangs are finding it more lucrative to traffic in people rather than trafficking in drugs, weapons, etc.
what goes through the minds of a john (someone who buys sex)
the overlap between consensual sex work and sex trafficking
the intersection between sex trafficking, homelessness, and the foster care system
methods of fighting human trafficking (the good, the bad, and the ugly)
the relationship between both sex and labor trafficking and immigration
All of these are simply angles I’m offering so you can research those specific ideas and decide whether or not you want to explore them in your story.
Some good resources to start your research (that you may have already found) include: The Polaris Project, the National Human Trafficking Hotline, and also please check out the Dressember Podcast. Dressember is a challenge to wear a dress (or a tie or something else unusual) every single day in December to raise awareness of human trafficking and to raise funds to combat human trafficking, and their podcast interviews survivors of sex trafficking so you can hear their stories and their perspectives.
And also please, please, please send me more asks (or even dms!) as you get more specific questions. I would love to brainstorm with you and share more resources and just overall be as helpful as I can.
Thank you again, so much, for wanting to write about this.

I'm sorry but you could have genuinely done colored blocks or circles instead of literally stealing artwork/assets. It just doesn't look good on you as a developer and a site.
I mean yeah, definitely. If I could go back and change things, I would. I was like 16 (for reference I'm nearly 22 now) when I drew the assets that people pointed out - many assets, both ones on the site and on my private computer that I removed, I don't even remember drawing. I do feel bad about it, and Krisgoat and I have talked and worked everything out, as of a day ago. However, I don't think hiding it is a good way to go about it either, it doesn't sit right with me to just delete and censor anything related to it. We see enough of that in our everyday lives and personally I find it a relief when someone is genuinely like "yeah, I fucked up."
I used to be very, very insecure about my art, and would usually only have 1 - 2 references for a drawing. In hindsight it was obviously bad practice, but I wasn't really involved in the online art community nor had friends or mentors who were artists, I had to learn more or less on my own until I was 19 or so.
CC started out as a Goatlings clone for me to learn off of. I wasn't exactly in the best place at the time, and they were an escape for me. I had thought I had removed everything that was either linked from Goatlings directly (and Flight Rising) or that were heavily referenced. I did this before I started hosting the site, around a year ago.
Clearly, I missed a handful of things. Realizing that was a punch in the gut, and I felt incredibly stupid for overlooking them, especially the mouse plushies. Sometimes, when you work with something for years, without anyone else to give input, you get tunnel vision. That's one of the main reasons I started this blog, and clearly I needed feedback haha.
However, what's done is done, and I'm at peace with it. I can acknowledge my shitty actions in the past, and feel okay knowing I'm not the same person today. I think putting developers up on a pedestal and not allowing people to grow from their mistakes is a toxic mindset that's been made much worse in recent years by the prevalence of social media. Obviously, people make mistakes, all the time. People do shitty things, but that doesn't necessarily mean they're shitty people.
I've already apologized to those who deserved to hear it from me, namely Krisgoat, and have discussed the best ways to move forward in good standing with Goatlings (which are already in progress). I'm much more comfortable with my skills as an artist and developer than I used to be, and this project will continue for myself first and foremost, as this has always been a passion project, and of course it's also for anyone else that weigh my actions and still decide to stick around.
There's a lot of things I could've done instead, certainly, but I can't turn back time. The only thing I can do now is show those who are willing to listen that I'm someone who's respectable and worth their time. There are definitely some people who are going to turn away, and that's fine.
Regardless, Crescent Cove will continue to exist for as long as I can afford to run it, as it has up until now. I'd love nothing more than to share it with others, if they're willing.

I come here because I’ve found very few blogs of girls a similar age to me discussing english rugby. I’ve been reading this blog for a very long time, and I have always just skimmed over the personal posts. I don’t think you are a bad person, or a bad feminist, I just noticed that these comments had become regular recently. I know you have said it’s sad they feel the need to do all this, but you also posted a week or so ago calling these girls ‘ugly fake tanned’ and ‘plastic barbies’, and have said similar things before.
I’m 21, live in England, go to university and play on one of the sports teams there and I can tell you with certainty that it is rare you will see a girl in any of those circles, especially at university, who either doesn’t have lip filler or fake tan at the very least. It’s also very rare you will meet a rugby boy who doesn’t do any of the things these boys do unfortunately!
Like I said and I think you have said in the past, it’s sad when people are not as great as you expect them to be. Never meet your heroes they say😅 They may be lovely to meet as players when they’re working (although even then…), but if you met them on a night out as just a girl rather than a fan I would bet they wouldn’t be so lovely! It’s the typical rugby boy culture of knowing they can get girls and so treating them badly. That’s also why they don’t care what these girls are posting about on their social media, they are more interested in their looks and what they offer sexually.
I wasn’t saying you were jealous of these girls, I don’t believe you are. That was speaking from my own personal experience with boys. I was trying to say dislike can often be triggered from another emotion. From everything you’ve said in response I understand you are frustrated that there are never any girls who are ‘natural’, which is very normal. You had said a while ago that it minimises the impact on you when they look ‘normal’, and so I understood that to mean that you wanted to see a part of yourself in the people they date to help your confidence. But maybe I had misread that.
I agree that things can be and often are posted or done for male validation, but once again, seeking male validation is because you are not confident enough in yourself and want someone else to validate your beauty, so it does all come back to being insecure. And this validation is not female exclusive, you could say the same about anytime a player posts a photo topless knowing people will like it.
And these enhancements are only the same as Freddie getting braces, the difference is his just wasn’t plastic, but it’s something he wanted to change that a professional didn’t think medically needed to be or it would’ve been done when he was a kid. I would put money on a fair few England players getting sunbeds every now and then too.
Of course it is your blog and your point of view, I respect that your opinion is different from my own. I just felt like what I believed your reasons for disliking some of these people were seemed slightly unjustified when it was because of their looks alone. Much like you are saying these kinds of girls bullied you at school, I understand that is why you may view them in a certain way, but don’t bring yourself to their level. You may not be saying it to their faces, or commenting on their photos, but as soon as you hit send anyone can find it.
I also don’t know any influencers personally but I’ve always thought it was a very odd career choice. But hell they’re making more money than I probably ever will😅
The girl you mentioned talking about skin cancer, I don’t know who she is or follow her so I can’t personally comment on what she posts about but obviously I agree that if you have a platform you should use it wisely. And it is very much justified to dislike people who promote hateful or morally incorrect things.
My comment to fredanon was more about managing how you’re feeling because it is easy to be caught up in someone else’s reality. I’m not offended on behalf of my friends, I was simply pointing out that disliking someone for their looks alone can be shallow because they could be the sweetest person. As for their comment about ‘not coming to the blog’ if I didn’t like what was posted, it seemed quite hypocritical considering they don’t seem to like seeing what these girls or even players post or do yet continue to look or even follow. But like me, they follow these because they are interested in other things they do, as I’m interested in what this blog posts about rugby.
I don’t think you came across as rude Amelie, and I’m always very impressed with your English to say it’s not your first language I believe?😅. You are allowed to have an opinion, and you can obviously post whatever you would like to here, I wasn’t trying to stop either of those things. I was just offering a different perspective, and hoping that your dislike for these people wasn’t based on the fact you didn’t like how they chose to look. I myself fake tan sometimes, and I would hate to think I would be disliked because of that or equally I would hate to think people would dislike me because of the things I choose not to do too.
Similar age ( I want to hide in a hole omg🙈😭 if only I was 21. ) I am sad you are skimming my personal post as it is part of the blog really otherwise getty images is your friend I don't do much.
Let's say for one and for all I value MORE natural beauty over artificial addings to make it look natural yes. I agree. I don't think you should change anything for anyone. Ok so you state facts but aren't you sad about those that at uni already they are doing procedures that aren't necessary ? Isn't a bit sad they cannot stop to follow a trend and use rather huge sugery procedures that will change them forever with sometimes non reversible dammages in the near future?
Doesn't make you angry ? Because why exactely are they doing that, to fit in ?
I still have hope they are a bit more than that but I currently agree, boys will be boys and they are deceiving. No that is true I think it ease my mind a bit when I see how they look without their artifices , you didn't misread that. I assume it makes me believe we are just all the same.
I still think it is a lot of sexism in beauty industry that promote those kind of behaviour and yes play on insercurities of women MORE than men and we aren't equal on that matter. A girl is considered aged around 30.
I still think it cannot be compared to the mortality ratio that plastic surgery creates on very more and more younger girls each year. You cannot compare Freddie job teeth and a boob job on a teenage girl no I am sorry even if I get what you are trying to say it is not the same.
Oh really the pressure on boys and girls is not the same please. Don't dare to tell me that. If a player do sunbed he will not be called fake tanned bitch but a girl yes ( I just use my own comment to proove you that misoginy is more present than ever and creating gaps between us all , even women. I don't say I am right I just it is more likely a woman will receive bad comments or comments on her appearance than a man and they will have less hateful ones ).
Mmmmh do not agree on that point as I assume my discourse. I don't think I am doing any wrong in what I voiced. I may think twice before I criticize them because of yours messages but still from what they show and it is 90 % their naked bodies and nothing else I am left with 10 % of really nothingness and they validate my first impresison : kind or not kind they usually act : artificial / shallow/ money interested / only appearance and apparel / superficial / ...
But I get for the 1% who is not I gave you the point and will think twice.
Yeah she was promoting coconut oil as sunscreen and staying she had skin cancer removed last year saying maybe it wasn't the best choice tho like oopsie and promoting her life when she ended up in dangerous situation but it is not an isolated case and influencer use a lot their power on underrage audience or very vulnerable people and I hate it.
I think with them when you are into their spiral it is hard to get out. We peak through their life and what they show us so it is logical to want a bit more from time to time.
As for content I can start tagging personal stuffs so you can avoid it and use the anti tag.
Nop' first language is french :) then dutch then english so thank you ! I studied english only for some years at school.
I liked the different opinion as I am always ok to discuss topics and not entitled to a final oppinion but I surely wasn't a fan of the tone which looked patronizing at some points even towards Fredanon.
I am really ok with this message tho and you seem more open to discussion so am I.
You gave me some good points but I still think some of mine are valid as well.

Week 9 my guysssss
It do be time for another blog, semester is going pretty good surprisingly, grades are thriving as well as they can be.
Now when it comes to me thriving might be an understatement but between working and paying rent it to be a struggle. But that's okay!
To what the main point of this is, my project for my WRD class, aka the whole reason I even have this account. Included in this weeks blog will be my podcast proposal and annotated bibliography. So here it is besties!!!
My podcast will be titled “Campus Chronicles” I will cover the many issues currently happening on campus right now. From parking, housing to the many, many protest we’ve all experienced at least once.
I plan to use an audio recording for this podcast, possibly doing it in multiple parts of the different topics split into different “chapters”.
Many students are struggling to find rooms due to everything being changed over besides one dorm. For many college students, campus housing is an integral part of their higher education journey. It offers the convenience of living close to classes, fellow students, and campus resources. However, as the first taste of independent living for many, campus housing isn't always the idyllic experience it's imagined to be.
Inadequate parking on a college campus is a recurring source of frustration and inconvenience for both students and faculty. The limited availability of parking spaces, combined with the often questionable parking skills of some individuals, can turn the simple act of parking into a major headache.
For those who must endure the daily struggle of finding a parking spot on a crowded campus, it can be a significant source of stress. Late arrivals to classes or work due to parking woes can impact academic performance and productivity. It's not uncommon for students to circle the lots for extended periods, hoping to spot a rare vacant space, which can be a time-consuming and energy-draining task.
While college campuses are often seen as places of diversity, inclusion, and free expression, they can also be venues for anti-LGBTQ+ protests that promote discrimination and intolerance. These events can be deeply unsettling and have wide-ranging consequences for the campus community. These events can lead to Emotional and Psychological Impact, feelings of isolation and fear among LGBTQ+ students, who may worry about their safety and well-being on campus . As well as bringing a ton of stress and anxiety.
The podcast delves into the frustration students often face when trying to find parking spots on campus. Not only can it be a daily battle, but it's also costly. The prioritization of generating revenue over ensuring the convenience and well-being of their students. It prompts us to question whether financial gains should take precedence over accessibility and the overall quality of the educational experience.
Overcrowded housing is the second issue discussed. Many students are forced to live in overcrowded, inadequate conditions due to high rent prices and a lack of available housing. This housing crisis highlights economic disparities within the education system, as marginalized students often bear the brunt of these challenges. The core message here is that we urgently need affordable and equitable housing solutions to ensure that the pursuit of higher education is not compromised by living conditions.
The third element of the podcast's message revolves around LGBTQ protests on college campuses. These protests represent the ongoing fight for equality and acceptance, emphasizing the importance of safe spaces and inclusivity for all students, regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity. They deliver a compelling message about the need to respect diversity and support the rights of individuals to express their identity without fear of discrimination.
In summary, this podcast effectively weaves together the issues of college parking, overcrowded housing, and LGBTQ protests to deliver a powerful message: the education system requires reform. It encourages listeners to think about the broader implications of these issues and to stand up for a more inclusive, affordable, and equitable educational environment that benefits all students. It's a call to action for positive change in colleges and universities.
The podcast's multifaceted discussion not only offers a unique insight into the intricacies of college life but also provides a broader perspective on the complexities within higher education and social justice. College students are at the forefront of the intended audience, given their direct connection to the topics explored. They can identify with the daily battles for parking spaces, the housing challenges, and the ongoing struggle for LGBTQ rights on campuses, making this podcast an engaging and relatable resource for them.
Parents of college students are another vital audience segment. As they navigate the challenges of sending their children to college or supporting them through their higher education journey, the podcast equips them with a better understanding of the hurdles and concerns their children might face, from housing difficulties to social justice issues.
Educators and college staff members are also among the key target audience. By engaging with this content, they can gain valuable insights into the lived experiences of students, which can inform their teaching and administrative roles. Understanding the pressing issues faced by students enables educators and staff to be more empathetic and responsive to their needs.
Higher education policymakers hold an essential role in shaping the landscape of colleges and universities. This podcast serves as an educational tool, providing a detailed view of the challenges students encounter daily. Policymakers can use this insight to inform their decisions, potentially leading to systemic improvements that benefit both students and institutions.
Furthermore, advocacy and social justice groups, especially those advocating for LGBTQ rights and affordable housing for students, will find the podcast as an informative resource. It aligns with their missions and provides a platform for raising awareness and sparking important conversations.
For a broader audience interested in social issues, inclusivity, and the state of the education system, this podcast offers a thought-provoking exploration of the intricacies of higher education and its connection to social justice. It encourages critical thinking about the roles and responsibilities of educational institutions in addressing these matters.
Lastly, community leaders invested in the welfare of students within their regions can gain valuable insights from this podcast. It equips them with a more comprehensive understanding of the conditions and opportunities available to students in their communities, potentially motivating positive changes at a local level.
To effectively engage with these diverse target audiences, tailoring promotion, content, and messaging to resonate with their specific interests and concerns is of paramount importance. The podcast's ability to appeal to such a wide spectrum of listeners underscores its significance in addressing the multifaceted challenges within higher education and social justice.
Your podcast is poised to connect with your audience for several compelling reasons. Firstly, it addresses issues that are highly relatable and impactful for your target audience, which includes college students, parents, educators, policymakers, advocacy groups, and the general public interested in social issues. These topics are not only pertinent but also have a direct bearing on the everyday lives of many individuals. Listeners can connect with the content on a personal level, as they likely have experienced or are concerned about college parking, overcrowded housing, and LGBTQ rights on campus.
My podcast's power lies in its ability to bridge the gap between these seemingly disparate issues, illuminating the common thread of systemic challenges within higher education. This holistic approach offers a comprehensive view of the issues, providing valuable context and insights that can resonate with a wide array of listeners. It helps them connect the dots between different aspects of college life and recognize the broader implications and interconnectedness of these challenges.
Additionally, the podcast encourages critical thinking and constructive dialogue. It prompts listeners to reflect on the state of higher education, question the status quo, and contemplate potential solutions. This call to action can create a sense of shared purpose among your audience, fostering a community of individuals who care about making positive changes within the education system.
Furthermore, the diversity of perspectives featured in the podcast, including student experiences, expert insights, and the voices of advocacy groups, enriches the content and ensures that your audience receives a well-rounded view of the issues discussed. This inclusivity helps your podcast appeal to a broader range of listeners with varying backgrounds and interests.
In summary, my podcast's ability to relate to the real-life concerns of your audience, its comprehensive approach to interconnected issues, and its capacity to foster critical thinking and community engagement will all contribute to its success in connecting with your target audience. It has the potential to inspire, inform, and empower listeners, making it a compelling platform for discussing and addressing the challenges within higher education and social justice.
“It is a tale as old as cars: everybody complains about parking. Every few years, an article in the Charger Bulletin surfaces about how bad parking is at the University of New Haven.” (https://chargerbulletin.com/the-historically-bad-parking-on-campus-keeps-getting-worse/) Parking isn’t only bad on our campus, It’s an issue on many MANY other campuses. This article covers the difficulties that students run into when it comes to parking and how it builds onto the many other issues students already face when it comes to being in college. Campus parking has been an issue for way longer than it should, with so many complaints and many many parking tickets given out you would think that something would be done by now to help students be able to have a safe and open spot to park.
“Where college students used to fear a budget-friendly ramen noodle diet, now 1 in 5 students have dealt with housing insecurity, according to a recent survey from student loyalty network, Student Beans. The company defines housing insecurity as someone who “finds themselves without a permanent place of residence while studying.” (https://www.cnbc.com/2022/11/30/20percent-of-college-students-struggle-to-find-stable-housing.html) Between financially not being able to afford it and now the fact that its next to impossible to even get into a dorm students are worrying more about where to stay then worrying about the degree itself. Students shouldn’t have to worry about being able to eat every day or affording to live on campus and having to live over 15mins off campus by bike (Myself included). It’s not easy at all just to be able to go to a college of the students choice. When housing becomes harder than the classes and keeping a good grade that’s when its really an issue. UK has built new building after new building but none of them have been new dorms to support and house the many MANY freshman coming in because of the 98% acceptance rate which in itself is crazy.
“They held a sign that read “HOMO SEX IS SIN” on one side and “LIVE HOLY OR HELLFIRE” on the other while preaching their anti-LGBTQ religious beliefs to passersby for more than four hours.” (https://kykernel.com/93556/news/anti-lgbtq-evangelists-spark-controversy-on-campus/) LQBTQ+ protests are also affecting students freedom to be who they are without being beyond judged for being who they are. Students come to a campus expecting to be able to be themselves. Being LGBTQ+ friendly is a big thing that UK advertises. Yet students can’t even do so without being yelled at and targeted by protesters just for what they choose to wear.
I plan to use those same sources I used in this essay as well as others in my podcast. I figured laying out what I want to do now while using the same sources will help it be easier for me In the long run.
