little rant type shit about azzi and paiges current and kinda future media presences

i think azzis reposts are like her way of letting people know shes gonan be okay without having to be actually present and ibteractive on socials. she was literallt just comibg back from her drought/break/pause (wtvr u wanna call it) and likely wont post for a while because dawg camp and the draft content was like the most we’ve had from azzi in so long. i think shes probably doing alright considering the amount of support shes surrounded by and honestly she didnt really seem like in any hurry to suddenly become active like an instant unpause after not beibg active for so long, like i dont rlly think her being “on a break” was all that deep she was probably convinced to post but didnt really seriously care to upkeep not postibg in the first place so itd be practically no change in her lifestyle to go back to not posting i dont think she was like resisting the urge to post or anything. specifically now post-situation it might not be “i dont psot often but i sometines do wheneveb i feel like it” instead she might purposely stay away and actually jsut take time away from media focus for a little and we’ll get like a crumb once and a while.

and i think paige being active rn is a mix of moving on from the incident and also the fact that the season is over and shes back on media and does like beibg on it like for example on lives and stuff. i feel like shes trying to show that shes moving past it as well as not letting it effect or stop doing what she enjoys. i also think that if paige had gone media silent after what happened it mightve brought even more attention to it with people speculating the effects it had or twitter running wild as it always does. i think her vague-ish thanking for support tweet near when it happened was good because it further fueled people who had been covering the timeline and helped speed up efforts to get tweets taken down but didnt actively add crap tons of spotlight on it. plus her normally posting and tweeting helps spread around what people are focusing on when she appears or if shes mentioned and it js moves the crowd on. we also know shes been described as/has said about herself that shes the type to put on a strong front in stressing times so even if shes beibg active on media and seemingly doing alright she could be doing it for all the reasons i just mentioned about moving the public on (like damage control/reputation padding) and still be literallt depressed behind the scenes and js doing it bc she feels she has to. either way we have no way of knowing whats actually happening and we will probably never know, i can only guess abd assume just as much as everyone else, i could be insanely far off or completely spot on, even if it doesnt match how any of us assume or imagine her acting just remember that we literally do not know any of these people!

i hope things settle and we can see them together again i dont think the situation would have effected their relationship with eachother theyre like ride or die and its not like its their fault it happened. obviously no one wouldvt wanted it to happen but i like to think that behibd the scenes theyre supporting eachother or they could be givibg eachother space but all n all i dont see this being the reason they suddenly drop eachother and i have ful lconfidence theyll come out the other end still side by side.

Hi stiff!! I was writing this as a comment but I think it’s a better ask. It’s very long and I will not be upset if you don’t answer! :3

I think part of peoples aversion to it is that it doesn’t conform to the style people are used to seeing online by popular artists. There’s this sorta phenomenon I’ve noticed where people tend to move their style towards a very cartoon/anime ish style with little variation because it’s pretty and that’s what people/algorithms like. People gravitate moreso if they intend on selling their art though.

So, when someone has a stylistic choice that doesn’t really fit that mould people find it “weird”. Exaggerated features (or in this case and many others like, a feature people just have???) are often seen as ugly or strange. An example of this is the person on TikTok who drew characters with big foreheads and lower eyes and got bullied off the platform for it! Another example could be “the tumblr art style” where commentary channels bullied artists who drew any minority ever or “ugly” features. It really exemplifies to me how online culture (especially on western apps) views western standards of beauty as the only way people can be beautiful. And why, in their mind, would someone create art that isn’t beautiful in that way unless they’re trying to be weird or make a statement? When, in reality, the beauty is in that they’re drawing what they see, what they want to see, and what they think is beautiful. Without diversity in what we consider beauty there is no beauty.

In this case it also feels a bit. Weird. To have the big nose be such a big issue. I don’t see people getting mad at hooked nose scar? How is this any different? There is nothing different about the way you draw scar now and the way you drew him before aside from that. You’ve always drawn him with body hair and fat and with these details that really just. Humanize him. And I think the point I’m trying to make here is that drawing people with big noses or crooked eyes or acne scars isn’t bad or weird and only adds to your art. It only makes you a better artist and I’ve genuinely watched you improve really really fast as you’ve drawn these characters with so much body diversity. Anyway. Big nose scar sweeeeep

honestly yea. sometimes when i see people draw certain characters it almost feels like theyre afraid of making them "unattractive" if you know what i mean? like i dont know how else to describe it but its really weird.

making their nose smaller, giving female characters bigger eyes and fuller lips, drawing only skinny characters, drawing older people with less wrinkles then they actually have or should have etc. and like people can draw whatever they want of course but tbh i see those "unattractive" parts as beautiful.

like i genuinely think wrinkles are pretty. i think big noses, hooked noses, small noses, crooked noses or just any kind of noses are beautiful. i think someones lips dont have to be full to look pretty. i think fat people and skinny people and just all kinds of people are beautiful. acne scars and and skin markings of any kind are beautiful.

idk just all those things and imperfections even make people beautiful to me.

like i find diversity beautiful and its kinda sad that some people dont see it that way? not everyone is skinny and buff, not all women will have the perfect hourglass figure or full lips etc.

those body types are beautiful too of course but sometimes i feel like people should see beauty in other body types and features as well.

this isnt the first time ive been asked for writing tips so im gonna give a lot of info. youre bound to find something useful in this mess

im so sorry but one of my solutions to giving myself confidence in smut-writing was to literally fuck and fuck a lot

after losing my virginity it still wasnt enough experience tbh. so i gave myself room to explore my sexuality and was privileged enough to do it with a partner that encouraged that growth. that experience of fucking sure didnt hinder my smut-writing ability if you know what i mean ;0 but everything else about writing i learned from years of practice. ive been writing since i was in elementary school like id come home from fourth grade and read and write on quotev klsdjfsfj smut writing skills came later post puberty

when i tried writing smut as a virgin i genuinely couldn’t get past the build up. i was fantastic at writing the build up, it was the actual sex part that was hard bcos even tho i had done enough research (i read a lot of porn) it didn’t instill me with enough confidence that i could write it correctly, and so i never did. however! i sure wish i’d committed to it more, so let me see if i can write out some tips that would’ve helped me in the past

(this is just how i write smut, im by no means an expert)

my timeline

the way i write smut is pretty formulaic so i’ll break it down:

hook line ⟹ settings ⟹ build-up ⟹ foreplay ⟹ sex ⟹ ending

☥ hook line. maybe: a dialogue piece to kickstart; an ambiguous line that reels you in; an exciting action. i dont like starting my story with the name/pronouns of a character doing something boring. i.e. “you were getting ready for the day…” idk it’s not the worst thing in the world and we've all done it but just writing out what i try to avoid.

☥ build up is key to me. i have such a hard time reading and writing porn with no plot. i’ll do it sometimes if i like the writer enough, but i rarely write smut without the build up bcos i feel like that’s where the juice is. its whats fun and what you get to play around with bcos the actual sex part of the fic is pretty predictable.

focus on what’s said and unsaid in dialogue between characters. focus on the emotion each of them are feeling and how that emotion manifests into body language.

⟹ dirty talk is not for everyone, but god i love it. literally get nasty with it, this is your writing and we’re all just readin it. build anticipation using dirty talk, make filthy promises, make threats. make your characters talk about the nasty shit they wanna do to each other.

imagine someone you really wanna fuck, imagine the things youd do to them if you had the chance,,, write it into your characters.

☥ foreplay. goes hand in hand with dirty talk, its where the touching starts. decide how you want to play it. who gets oral, who gets fingered. both? one of them? neither and they just go straight to fucking?? i like foreplay, but if youre writing a “quickie” scenario then it may not be in the cards.

lets say it is in the cards tho. so some things to remember:

⟹ foreplay gets the dicks hard. when dicks get hard they leak pre-cum. balls have like no cushion and theyre soft and have little sacks in em that move around. the skin of this genital is often described as velvety bcos its soft. ive honestly never had sex with an uncircumcised penis so i have no idea if there’s a difference between how they feel.

foreplay makes the pussies loose and wet. the inside can be lumpy. it can be ridged or smooth. it can be all kinds of flesh colors like brown and pink.

without the foreplay (which can be verbal communication, or touching of the body or genitals) its a little painful for afabs bcos theyre too tight or too dry. and a flaccid dick is a little unpredictable to try to fit in.

⟹ afabs can have multiple orgasms, amabs are less lucky. afabs can cum and squirt multiple times, amabs can cum multiple times.

�� genitals get really sensitive after cumming though. so if you write someone finishing, write out how they might need some time before they finish again or start fucking, or that they get overstimulated getting touched still after they came and that sensitivity is a little uncomfortable.

⟹ the head of the penis is the most sensitive and that’s what makes it cum/orgasm. clits on pussies are the most sensitive and its what makes cum/orgasms happen. its very difficult if not impossible to achieve orgasm (if youve got a pussy) through penetration alone without clit stimulation

⟹ you can cum/squirt and not have an orgasm

☥ sex

⟹ changing positions can change angles and hit new pleasurable spots inside pussies.

⟹ probably write a couple different positions during the sex part, just to keep things fresh.

⟹ sprinkle in dirty talk to prolong the sex scene and to avoid sounding repetitive because if youre writing p in v it’s pretty standard to thrust over and over again until youre done. its a lot less glamorous when you spell it out like that, so you gotta add shit to make the sex scene more enjoyable to the reader whos not actively experience the sex.

☥ ending. i usually end the one shot after the fucking is done.

the smut tips

☥ think back to a time you were really turned on. from a show, from a book, something someone said to you, your own sex life, porn you really liked,,, take inspiration from it. use it and channel that own arousal within you.

if youve got a dirty fantasy and it gets you so hot and bothered thinking about it, write that.

if youve got a partner that fucks you crazy good and supplies you with inspo for dialogue or for settings or for scenarios, write that too. theres been a whole bunch on my blog that was inspired by my boyfriend. not everything, but enough to mention it.

also! another thing that people underestimate is the inspiration you take from other blogs. like mine for example, if you like my stuff take inspo from it. study my writing style and you’ll see all kinds of little tips in subtext id never be able to list for you. i do that with other blogs, i dont copy them but i definitely learn little things i like from them and incorporate it into my writing for a more cohesive story. if i take an idea though i ask for their permission & credit them.

☥ the most important tip i can give you is be as self indulgent as possible. youre wasting time worrying about other people. “will they like this? will people think im weird? what if they think im weird for writing this?” fuck that noise. warn accordingly, and go ham. your self indulgence is your best friend. it’ll guide you through all those dirty things you want to say or do to someone, let it take root and write what excites you. chances are you will find your people, and your fic will be set apart bcos it’s so specific to you that people will be drawn to that. and if theyre not? it ends up not being popular? it doesnt matter! because you had fun writing it right? fuck yea u did

☥ the types of words you use are so important. words that invoke a certain emotion or sexy feeling. its difficult to explain but i try my hardest to use “beautiful language” paired with dirty, disgusting, cacophonous language. marry them together so you can convey whether youre “love-making” or “fucking”. i dont like words that dont look or sound good in my head. like when you paint, you probably use colors you like looking at to create the entire picture on the canvas that’s beautiful. so pick out paints that are pleasing to the eyes. the bold ones and the soft ones.

examples of words i dont use cos i hate the way they sound and the way they look: “vagina” and “penis” LMAO

even “butt” isnt a word i like to use. i’ll almost always use “ass” or “backside”

⟹ the smut writer’s dictionary

☥ i keep comedy out of it for the most part, ive never really seem humor added positively into a smut that added to the experience. its usually physical humor stuff like the characters bumping heads or stubbing their toe or something its just cringy to me idk. if i add comedy (i am not good at writing comedy)i put it before the smut. and if you must have some sort of lightheartedness id keep it casual, light, and personal. like an inside joke or something tongue in cheek. you dont have to hide your deepest desires behind humor , you can be serious

☥ your pain tolerance is heightened so run with that. get spanked its fun

more important tips i love and stand by:

☥ call backs are important to me. it’s like if you have something in the future of your fic to be used, try to incorporate it in some small way in your establishing settings or build up. but it’s not as important to others as it is to me. an example would be in my one shot “talk huttese to me”, at the end anakin fucks reader on the tool table. at the very beginning of the fic, when i had reader taking in the surroundings of the “garage bay”, she scanned the drawer stack where she set his broth she brought him, and the tool table he’d later fuck her on. its kinda like,,, foreshadowing (i think?). you’re setting up your reader to be like “?? i wonder why the author thought it would be important to mention the tool table.. wonder if anakin fucks her on it later.” but even if your readers dont react that way, i still think it ties things together nicely

☥ try to write 15-20 mins uninterrupted. create a ritual. i use the bathroom, refill my water, grab a fun drink like sweet tea, put on a silent youtube video (like my ahsoka star wars lofi live i love so much), listen to a playlist of music (preferably music you havent heard before so it can fade into the background. maybe even cultivate a playlist for the vibe youre going for in your story, aids greatly in creating an atmosphere in your writing if youre translating the music in your ears), and turn your phones notifications off (ofc i leave on notifs for calls in case of emergencies, but i can answer my friends’ texts after my writing session). set a timer so you dont have to keep checking the time.

☥ don’t stop in the middle of your storytelling to check the thesaurus or dictionary. write out whatever word/phrase first came to mind and highlight it to come back to later to alter or replace it completely. you’re interrupted your creative flow and its difficult to come back to it when youre checking the thesaurus every five seconds. this hack was crucial to my ability to stay on task i promise you

☥ avoid sounding repetitive by using the same words close together. you’ll create a fuller story by adding to your vocabulary using the thesaurus.

☥ avoid listing actions, break them up with adverbs at the start of your sentences if you must, or description of things or the place your character is in, or explain the emotion your character is feeling or what that emotion is causing within your character. starting sentences over and over again with the character’s name or pronoun breaks up the flow for the reader.

☥ really try to finish your works in progress even if you think its bad, the challenge of it will help you practice and learn to overcome your own mind trying to hold you back

☥ if you dont like the direction your fic is going,,, and youre experiencing writer’s block:: cross out the most recent bit and take it in a new direction. “oh but indy!! i really have a certain goal in mind!!” great, find another way to get to it because youre blocking yourself from finishing this forcing yourself into a non entertaining corner. switch it up! challenge yourself. “but indy!! i really liked what i had for this scene!!” yea but youre blocked right? youre not writing anything else for this scene and you cant, right? if you like what you have for this scene (an action, a dialogue piece youre proud of, a plot twist) save it! use it for a different piece !

His favoritism is blatant and as subtle as a parade float, that's nothing new. Yours is. At first it's just that he could get away with touching you, shoulder clasps and such, but after a while you prolonged it by not moving. When you realized it you then initiated it. Straight up walked up and leaned on him while he was talking to someone. Others are jealous, especially because he will not shut up about it.

The closest person to Peter's status is Hobie. He is a naturally touchy person so it's usually fine if you're neural or higher, it can be allowed, or at least shaken off. That being said, he's also the most punched out of everyone. Not that your always in a bad mood, he goes up to you at random sometimes and startles you, even if you were in a good mood.

Gwen was a yes in your book, she just really passed the vibe check the first time you met her. And she generally cleaned up her mistakes so it was usually forgiven on the spot. There are a few times it took a while to forgive her though. Like the time she opened your collectable.

Pav was so difficult to describe to you. He just ran around and said exactly what he meant. It was very nice for you. But he was also very adamant on his goal to be better than Peter and become the new favorite. It was very cute and you didn't really know how you felt about it so you just didn't think about it and enjoyed his company.

Now Miles was and is annoyed he started late in the race. To becoming your favorite of course. Everyone else knew you and he just got there. He tries to cheat and gives you things. Things that sometimes fail miserably or hit completely. If you smile at him your being polite and just taking it, the more strained it is the more you don't like it. If your face goes blank it's a hit. Added with the statement that is something like 'thank you' or 'you have no idea how excited I am' he knows he hit the jackpot. He also does this away from the others so they don't get any ideas.

Miguel and you share a common enemy; you're both not funny, at least not intentionally. But you're both kinda fine with it. He had work to do and you wanted work to do. The others laughing around you was nice though, another common thought you had.

As for hyper-fixations Miles is the first one to figure out things. You have a new book in your hands and pots of plants with a coffee press on the counter. Two plus two equals you're trying to make coffee completely by hand. Pavitr would be the one to take time to learn about the things you do to the fullest extent he could, balancing school and home life. But after all of that Miguel is actually the one to take you place to do things, he has money and a driver's license.

Speaking of Miguel, he would never admit it but he was also fighting for first place, he just didn't have a lot of time to do it. He's a busy man who takes work he really should just delegate. So if Peter's gone for awhile he'll pick up the slack before you start to decline. It's all under the guise of you doing him a favor or vice versa. You said he needed to go out and touch grass so it was a good way to make both of you to do it.

Having said all of this, Peter will still never be dethroned. He's not blind, you like everyone else, he's just better. To say you boosted his ego would be the world's biggest understatement.

How do you think they would get along? (Because y'know, he destroys, he protects)

tbh aside from input from the creators that they would be canon friends (IN MY DREAMS) i have a lot of thoughts on why they would make great friends actually:

First of all, there is the idea that they have to make peace with the innevitability that regardless of what they do or how they feel about creation or destruction respectively, the balance will keep itself going purely because thats how creation and destruction of fanprojects irl work!! no amount of encouragemnt from ink or pestering from error are ever going to truly eradicate/permanently keep the growth of creations and aus in the multiverse!! I like to imagine its the same kind of silliness that good omens has (ie angel/demon being friends and maybe lovers just having the oppositr kinda jobs) except they both actually enjoy their jobs lol

I also like to think that the way they view the multiverse is not so black and white as they first may appear!! We already know that error DOES have aus that hes fond of and will not destroy bc he has a certain attachment to it, making us see that he isnt just some mindless killer who destroys for the sake of destroying (i forgot what his actual reason was aside from the anomaly stuff so in my head its bc all the multiverses mess with his code and overload his system which is why he hates anomalies sm ((including original ut funnily enough? Bc ig thats why his suffering happened in the first place (to me at least))) he is just selfish and wants everyone else to adjust to his comfort

For ink, he also views pretty much everything else aside from him as characters, and is thus not as connected to them as you may think. The reasons on why he protects these aus is kind of selfish (to refill his vials + the satisfaction of feeling like a real living being But More compared to other characters within their own universes) despite the good guy facade he tries to make himself have hes also inherrently selfish with his reasonings on why he wants to protect the aus in the first place

(i also wanna say that alongside all of what im saying ink genuinely does hold a lot of love for the aus and has a lot of fondness for certain characters aus etc, but it is very much in a fiction vs reality sorta way, bc thats how he views himself vs every one else)

except error. (well. sort of. but it kinda goes both ways. hes close enough)

tldr despite feeling that they are above it all and seperate from the aus and characters that they create (canon info for both i think) i think they can (and do) acknowlege that the world is bigger than them both despite those feelings and find themselves kindred spirits in the sense that their views and pov of the world is very similar on a base level and see eachother as equals because of it (something i dont really see personally with p much every other sans)

like yes other sanses and characters can be aware of and have beef with the multiverse in whatever way they can but none will ever be as innherently connected to the multiverse and what created them as much as error and ink do,,,bc to most everyone else, it is simply a part of their lives to move through aus with, comapred to errorink having the aus be their reason for existing and acting (the other guys drama being centered around different things much smaller in scale compared to error and inks whole deal being with the entire multiverse as it exists if im making sense)

also also theyre both described as immature and insecure so. i think they can have a lot of fun having childish banter thats cute and for the funsies (both dramatic jokey guys please hear me out)

glance: At first glance, what stands out most about your OC's appearance? What's their distinguishing feature?

good question.. maybe her thick facial stripes? she has very fluffy cheeks and i like her hair too so maybe that. she has a kind of sleepy looking face

motion: How does your OC move? How does their clothing help or hinder their range of motion? Are they flexible, coordinated, clumsy?

she tends to 'stroll' would be the best way to describe her slower gait i think, or 'stride' and move with purpose! she leads with her shoulders and has heavy footing i think. not particularly coordinated but not super clumsy, her only flexibility comes from doing stretches pre workout and her arms/fingers/wrists move easily from being a musician playing bass. i dont know if her clothes rly help or hinder her range of motion she just wears like normal person clothes. they might seem kind of constricting to blue if he tried something like a button-up (he hates buttons) but their styles dont rly match up theyre both masculine in different ways

canvas: Does your OC have any scars, piercings, tattoos, or other markings? Do they display or cover them up at all?

she probably does have scars here and there just from living life but i wouldnt specify them on a ref sheet or really add them in drawings i think, but she doesnt have tats or piercings atm. she likes the look of them she just isnt really interested in them for herself. i think if she did get tattoos she wouldnt care about displaying or covering them she's just walking around

bling: What jewelry does your OC wear? Does it have any meaning?

she doesnt usually wear jewelry she'd probably just motion to her hearing aids and say they count. she may wear rings sometimes but likely not anything else. sometimes she might borrow or wear blue's dog tags (that can signal MANY different things in their relationship or lack thereof at the time)

favorite: Does your OC have a favorite article of clothing or accessory? What is it? What's the meaning behind it? Do they wear it all the time or do they wear it sparingly to keep it safe?

shes probably got cool work boots she likes that she wears constantly! she also wears cowboy hats sometimes so shes probably got some favorites she got in texas she keeps with her. i dont think she wears them a lot though

now for the other question, how my ocs in bands dress onstage vs day-to-day.. its a good question i think it rly just depends! ill go thru them tho.. its mostly blues band with a couple other ocs tossed in there, not all my musicians but not all of them perform on stage and also quite a few of them r newer characters or r going thru design changes so it might not stick if i did include them anyway

1. I feel overwhelmed bc i keep thinking it's necessary to write some extra scene in the fic? Like a silly goofy scene? Plus idk how to arrange the scene to make the fic look better

oh yeah i get that - i would say it's best to keep scenes that are relevant to the theme of the piece? i dont wanna sound too technical but i tend to have a theme / trope when i write and if the paragraph or scene doesn't fit i ideally try not to fit it in.

however everyone likes their own (and other's) writings in different ways so i guarantee there are ppl out there who like to read unrelated lore. tbh i unconsciously do it at times too and it's not a set rule i follow obediently, just a rough outline :)

as for arranging the scenes, as goofy as it sounds i like to read it out to make sure it flows. if something doesn't sound right then i try to pinpoint the problem or move the paragraphs around - sometimes doing that puts the story in a better pace!!

on the topic of repeating words etc, maybe envision how else you want to describe a scene? talk about the surroundings, the feelings the characters are feeling, whether theyve experienced this before or not, people's perceptions of them, ideally make the story as immersive as you can (then again!! diff writers have diff styles, im just suggesting a way to "avoid" using repetition)

timeskips work dont worry!! but i always like to make sure that the reader knows where and when theyre timeskipping to because it can get confusing at times. unless it's something that is meant to be read in between the lines (like the implication of a character having a medical problem and not wanting to tell their partner; the info that they withhold from their partner is also "withheld" in a way from us, that is until it timeskips to them in a hospital etc.)

that's the best eg i could come up w/ at the moment 😭😭 but that's i guess the gist of my tips that can hopefully help you <3 lmk if you need more help!!! 💌

jokes aside though i luv frenrey. frenrey means alot to me which sounds kind of funny to say. its an inside joke to several friend groups (3 friendgroups i can think of off the top of my head). its a comfort. it makes me unironically nauseous if i think about it in bad contexts. i couldnt look at it for a little bit due to bad associations. it also helped me figure out alot about myself (mostlu helped me figure out that im. fictoromantic </3)

as for what it means to me personally, at first i was annoying with hlvrai. i had the worst possible characterizations yiu could possibly conjure up because i wanted to frankenstein every fucking ao3 trait for benrey and gordon together because i thought that was the way to characterize them. i was also 13 so whatever. i also projected onto benrey HARD which made him more annoying and me more annoying also. at some point i projected too hard and got nauseous with the ship cuz i convinced myself that i was projecting trauma about my ex friends onto them.??? which was weird but i ended up reaching some closure regarding those ex friends a little while ago and also at the time i realised "hm. no this is stupid" and moved on. then i got on tumblr and became a bigger frenrey fan (really funny to say) and it started meaning more to me... my characterizations got better ovr time (same with my art) and everything was goung well. i had friends who liked frnerey and also i liked frenrey myself. peace and love on planet autism. and then the thing in june happened when my now ex friend told me something about literally everyone in The Frenrey Discord server which caused alot of stuff that i wont explain cuz i think you guys know it by now. that was embarrassing. i also couldnt look at frenrey because i associated it with that and it made me sick to my stomach to think about. at some point i got normaler and less mentally ill and stuff. frenrey also became a relaly big inside joke in my friend groups and stuff <3 i dont really make as much frenrey art as i used to now since im more of a darnrey enthusiast at this point but thats cuz i did figure out im fictoro bcuz of it (shoutout to my wife. girdon)

other than what it personally means 2 me its also a really funny dynamic. guy shows up and starts pestering you the WHOLE FUCKING DURATION of the worst days of ur life. claims he used to know you when you were kids (you fucking didnt). and ur brains response to this is "lets kiss with tongue" its so funny. in canon context its like. this guy plays a game and meets the most fucking insufferable npc of his life and falls in love with him when hes literally not even tangible. how do you store that much emotion towards a character from a game you could just turn off dude. theyre both pathetic i think. their dynamic is kinda hard to describe. i think its funny when benreys head over heels for this guy that hates his guts. i think its funny if they both hate eachothers guts and are simultaneously thinking "i hope this guy fucking goes to hell. i bet he wants to kiss me. good thing i dont want that". i think its funny if benrey doesnt care about gordon at all and just harasses him cuz he thinks its funny and gordons like "god this guy sucks. would it be weird if i kissed him. id hate that probably". idk its a very fun ship to play around with its very flexible.. they fit as queerplatonic, romantic, AND platonic. they work out in game and nongame scenarios. they work in aus because theyre opposites. its so fun. im like dr frankenstein and frenrey is my frankensteins monster that i test on just to see what happens and what works best. idk how else to end this paragraph and continue to the next one sorry

i dont think theyre actually very different in my mind than in the series. like. i used to think dororo being like her dad was a fabrication of my brain but no he really IS sometimes. his first dialogue in the show is asking her how she likes her new school. like. they’re one of those dynamics i like where i dont think there’s any improving on it. it’s pretty much the best version of itself as is.

I HAVE to like it bc dororo is my favorite character ever and koyuki is One Of my favorite characters in the series. i love found family. i Love Besties. i love autistic people. theyre just Very Fun, and Very Cute, and Very Funny, and Very Important

what about the individual characters involved? what does this relationship mean to them, what makes it unique among their relationships?

GOD IT HAS TO BE SO SO IMPORTANT TO BOTH OF THEM. LIKE. lets start with koyuki. She seems to be an orphan but aside from that her family situation is unknown, like idk if she ever HAD parents she Knew or not, and the ninja village she spent Most of her childhood in was kind of Against the formation of too Soft & Close of relationships. One of her lifelong friends Mukuro was always firmly against koyuki calling them friends because Ninjas Don’t Have Friends, and another one of her friends would help her out when she got tired or hurt during training as a little kid & she said he might get in trouble because he wasn’t Supposed to help her. Koyuki had friends anyway because she’s just that nice and determined but she wasn’t really SUPPOSED to and i don’t know how many people were close to her in like. A Warm Way Conducive To A Child Who Is Growing Up. Dororo is sort of Her Only Family, and he’s also the one Consistent part of her life - she had to say goodbye to all the people she’d known for her entire life when the ninja village was disbanded, and had to move on to a life completely different from anything she was used to, BUT Dororo had been living in the village for a few years (is the timeline I tend to go with) before that so she gets to have ONE properly familiar thing With her in her new life.

For dororo. First of all. Koyuki is the ONE person he knows that he has absolutely 0 grudge of any kind against. He’s at least a tiny little bit angry at everyone else he knows but koyuki has never done anything wrong to him ever in her life. She also like. Saved His Life. In the straightforward literal momentary sense and also in the existential metaphorical sense of when you experience a change so drastic that it completely changes you and then you look back and go I USED TO BE LIKE THAT?? THANK GOD I GOT OUT like . She literally saved his life when she found him caught in a trap which it has to be said was kind of a big deal for him already because he was taught to expect humans to be violent and cruel, don’t join the military. & she took him back to her village and took CARE of him and helped train him 2 be a ninja and indirectly/unintentionally showed him some of the Best of earth & humanity and the kinds of things he thinks are Beautiful and he got his life changed and threw the old life out and became someone he likes more. And she is always nice to him and is the one person who never forgets him :)

They just care about each other so much!!!! They both have other very close friends but they’re definitely each others closest friends on a very deep level. They consider it a Given that they are going to keep being best friends & family forever. Soulmates (familial)

favorite interaction they have in canon

NOOOOhow am i supposed to choose…. most of their interactions are really sweet or funny……. ummmm…. I like just sort of. Everything that’s about their friendship in 184. Koyuki noticing something is Weird with dororo and immediately spending her whole day making a protective charm for him. their friendship literally saving his life again in that koyuki (not for the first time) uses her awesome powers of Being Very Determined and Caring So So Deeply About Her Friends to overcome magic that’s supposed to be completely controlling her, & is able to just redirect her sword a little to hit the charm she made instead of hitting him.

Also I really like the scene in movie 2 where tamama goes “i feel like we’re forgetting someone” and koyuki immediately holds up dororo and goes “dororo’s here!” it’s really funny

i fucking hate bulgaria so much and i hate living in it, i cant move out because im a minor but words cannot describe how terrible it is

almost every person my age is an asshole, im not even kidding i have almost not met a single decent person, maybe like 3 people in my life and i had to leave one of them because they were transphobic, but either they will directly bully you or they will do that thing where they fake being nice or ask you innocent questions in a condecending way, you do something emberassing once and the groups of girls nearby will never let you forget about it, and theyre ruthless to teachers who dont deserve it and then wonder why those teachers leave to be replaced with a worse teacher

some things that annoy me in writing

when a character endlessly trauma dumps on someone especially their lover.

i mostly dont like this trope because one, why and two GET A THERAPIST. THAT SHIT IS THEIR JOB. not to say that their partner cant comfort them but sometimes it does come to a point where that character is ENDLESSLY relying on their significant other for 'validation' or for 'therapy' and then they get mad at themselves or at their partner if they cant provide it. this drops a lot on the other significant other because now theyre worried about their own problems, their partners, and whatever else the hell is going on with their life. and when i say theyre worried about their partners i mean theyre worried worried like its constantly plagues them and the partner AINT HELPING. like they miss a date and all of the sudden it 'where were you?' 'i needed you!' 'you know whats going on with me right now how could you!' like no. stop it. they can love you but they aint your goddamn therapist. get someone else.

2. the whole 'i dont deserve you argument'

yes its fluffy, angsty and practically perfect in nearly every damn way but god. its hardly ever done right. like everything feels forced, the reasons feel forced and i can never actually hear someone saying that. i can hear someone going 'you shouldnt be here' as in 'i dont deserve you' or in some other way. if the whole 'i dont deserve you' argument is underlying then its fine but when its upright in an 'emotional scene' the whole 'i dont deserve you' just makes me go 'ugh' mostly because it just feels so goddamn unrealistic. not to mention it takes all that emotional tension and instead of adding to it, it just fucking plummets it in my opinion. it feels anticlimactic like it was gonna be the climax but it failed. kinda like you save what you think is gonna be the best firework for last but turns out its a dud so now youre sitting their like 'well wtf was that'

3. when characters are actively being pressured by the cast to move on

like shut up, it takes the average person 4 years to grieve and then some. just because it was a really long time ago doesnt mean that it didnt hurt. chances are that it hurt A LOT. not to mention its usually like 'we/you cant do anything about it, move on from it' this is usually over traumatic experiences and im sorry but this just isnt healthy. not saying that you have to be stuck in that moment forever but you cant just go 'welp i couldnt do anything, sucks to suck buh-byeeee' like no, thats not how it works. you need to come to terms with what happened and what you did. not endlessly blame yourself or just say that it wasnt your fault even partially. thats not coming to terms with things thats denying the truth. never do this

4. when sad backstories supposedly make up for everything

suck it up. yeah no suck it up. you can have trauma from those experiences but it doesnt make up for what you did in the SLIGHTEST. its basically saying 'sir i only killed that man because my parents never loved me :((((' like honey there is no correlation. stop

5. unnecessary descriptions to describe a character. like when theyre lovesick, sure. thats FINE. but when youre just meeting them like slow your roll. im trying to process so many things at once already, i got the dialog their personality, what was currently going on in the scene. not to mention sometimes i dont like overly descriptive dialog because it takes away the room for imagination which kinda sucks because if i saw them wearing a skirt but now youre saying theyre wearing jeans it kinda fucks with my mind more

7. Have I mentioned how much effort and love goes into this show?? Genuinely, every episode I watch I'm like "god I hope Julia knows how much I adore this" like just- YALL. Its so good and so much work goes into and every episode has me in literal awe? the lost prince's house is warm when they enter it, they barely notice it as they're led into a hallway and up a long flight of stairs that don't seem to fit with the image they've created of him in their mind

"sorry about the long trip." he grins down at them, though it seems a bit strained at the corners and they frown. "it's kinda hard getting to the third floor when the elevator's constantly out of order."

"it's a lift." they mumble, and the lost prince stops for a moment, giving him an odd look.

"what?"

"it's a lift, not an elevator, fuck- fuckin' american."

the lost prince laughs, and its a sound theyve listened to hundreds of times before, both at night as he follows them and- and somewhere else they spend a lot of time at. they blink, their mind hazy.

"why do you live in an apartment complex?" they ask, before they can fully think it through

"fell out with my parents. i either left, or they got to continue ruling my life." the lost prince shrugs, then moves their weight to only one of his arms. "it was an easy decision from there."

they hear a lock click, and more warm air rushes out from the door that's just been opened, flooding their senses in a way that threatens to send them to cloud nine.

they snap a little more awake as they're pulled over the threshold, opening their eyes fully from their half-lidded state when they're settled onto a comfortable surface gently.

they blink as the lost prince begins to move away, leaning forward with an arm that feels like lead and grasping at the edge of his cloak. he stops, turning to look at them. they blink at him for a moment, no doubt gaping in a way that makes them look stupid.

the lost prince isnt wearing his mask, and it easily reveals the swirling patterns on his cheeks that theyve spent years memorising from across the exam hall, or while sitting opposite him in class.

"joey?" they ask, and his face scrunches up, staring at them for a moment longer.

"i'll be back in a moment." he slowly teases their hand free from his shirt. "im going to get a first aid kit." they allow their fingers to be loosened, staring after the person they've known all along as he disappears around the corner.

they sink back into the sofa, slowly covering their face with their hands. god, they've been so stupid. the one person they've always wanted has been in front of them the whole time. aeor above, joey's always talking about the fire prince at school, and he had been so easily available to them this whole time.

they groan, and a weight settles beside them on the couch as they lament their own stupidity.

"is that pain groan, or an im stupid groan?" joey teases, and they peek out from between their fingers to stare at him.

"im stupid." they groan, and he laughs.

"not really, you seem pretty smart to me, especially as you apparently know me."

"you know me too." they say. "im surprised you didnt recognise me before. always talking about the fire prince at school too." they tease, watching as joey's cheeks turn a soft pink colour that looks incredibly nice on him. they grin, and joey sputters for a few moments, looking away.

"youve heard that?" he asks, voice quiet.

"im sure everyone has." they grin, leaning towards him a little. theyre not sure if its the adrenaline or the proximity that's making them so bold but theyve found they dont particularly mind it. "youre not exactly quiet about it."

"mhm." joey looks back at them, a roll of bandage half unwrapped in his hands. "and who might you be then, oh so wonderful fire prince."

"how about we find out?" they grin, leaning forward the extra few inches to close the small gap between them.
