a while ago i was trying to explain to a friend why i love sakuatsu so much, and for me it's the idea of two incredibly flawed people who have never compromised themselves a day in their lives actively working so that they can be together

it's the idea that love is an active and continuous choice for them, and even though it might be easier to be apart, it's worth the effort to be together. they dont just love each other despite their flaws, but they love all parts of them, and the idea that you dont have to be an idealized version of yourself to be loved. the idea of seeing someone else for everything that they are, including phobias, bad jokes, asshole behavior, and prickly exteriors and choosing them all the same

Mickbell doesn't cry here because he's afraid for his own safety or scared of what just happened. He cries because Kuro put himself into great danger and got killed.
