drew a bunch of boardwalk empire characters bc somehow i've only been able to draw al and charlie consistently despite being hyperfixated on the show for at least a year. i still have room on the page so i'll probably draw ralph n frank later. i'm also open to recommendations so if there's a character you want drawn hit me up. i'm planning on drawing a bunch of kaiju next so stay turned for that too.

Will you ever draw papa bull and duke together as a comparison of what they look like? I’m genuinely curious to see duke in your artstyle.
sure thing! i was already working on a drawing anyway, so any excuse to exercise a quick sketch never hurts.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
—all rights reserved to @monstrouslyobsessed, the beastfolk characters, papa bull and duke for character design sketch, with a bonus doodle of dorothy fawning over devon with her faceless spouse and child (being held by the bulls' darling in a very vague appearance) in the background with some random expression tests and two babies, devon and dorothy's still-nameless baby.
additional details/ramblings under the cut.
im not really too good with drawing furries so they probably look pretty awkward. anyway, yeah, you can tell there's a lot of resemblances between duke and papa bull. i actually copied and mirrored on purpose and just changed certain details (mainly age and fashion sense).
i tried to make papa bull to look softer, kinder, in his eyes, while it's harder to interpret with duke, other than him being a bit awkward.
they all do have hair tho! a bit more mullet-like, i suppose, but i don't think they can help that considering how their anatomy works (and i'm somewhat trying to keep true to the irl animals as well so there's not really any 'rainbow anime gravity defying' hair going on there). papa bull have a bit more hair than duke, since he had a beard whileas duke doesn't.
if you noticed that duke didn't have the nose ring, good eye! i figured it's a specific species cultural factor, that the head of the family has it (regardless of the gender).
they're actually supposed to be darker, closer to black, but i also wanted to show the wrinkles and other finer details in their looks thus the brown. i...think i might like them better that way, but eh.
as for dorothy, she adore kids regardless of who or what they are. she's always happy to see the little devon and fawn on them lol i kind of tried to keep her to look like a (summery) farm girl, with a lot of body confidence in herself, but it's pretty sketchy so i don't think thats obvious. she's a big, happy gal though.
yes, i just wanna doodle her lol
if you're having troubles reading the text because my handwriting is crappy, i gotchu
"hoovedfolk babies are so heavy..." "i can hold them?" --Dorothy, who traded babies for a minute --Devon, in dino onesie
thats about it for my nonsense, hope my doodles are passable?

Hi! I'm Ruben, and this is my art blog! I mostly post silly OCs and original stuff, or whatever I happen to be hyperfixated on at the time! Read on to find out more!
---
About
I am Ruben, but most people call me Bean, and I also go by Ben - so feel free to use any of those names, I'll respond to them all!
I'm 28, Non-Binary, and I use They/Them pronouns. I've been doing art pretty much all my life, and I do it somewhat professionally. I enjoy all types of art, but my mains are drawing and animation - but don't be surprised if there are some crafts or other medias here and there too!
I am autistic, and have severe social anxiety (among other disabilities), so please be patient with me if I take a while to respond, have an under/overreaction to something, or do not understand something right away! I also tend to forget things a lot, so you can always give me a reminder, if it has been a while - just please do not spam me!
I love getting asks about my characters, and AUs, even if I cannot answer them all - I have many askblogs for more specific characters/settings, which are linked below if you wanna check them out!
Please keep in mind that some of my characters are villainous, aggressive or just plain mean, and any actions or responses may be rude, violent or upsetting! When I respond in character, I am just playing a character, and their actions do not reflect me, and should not be taken personally!
DMs I am more hesitant about bc of the mentioned anxiety, so if you wish to DM me, please have a reason to be doing so - I don't tend to respond to just 'hi', and asking for free art will probably end up in a block. I also do not RP at all, so please do not ask.
I tend to vent a lot! I use art as a form of catharsis and to avoid hurting myself irl, so there might randomly be some upsetting content posted, but I do tag these with 'vent tag', and the appropriate CW tags - please see below for them
My art (and characters) is not for free use! So please do not repost, edit, trace my art, and please do not use it in videos/games, or for AI bots/databases. If you see my art somewhere, that I did not approve of, and regardless if it is credited or not, please let me know!
That being said, if you really want to use my art somewhere, please ask first! Usually the use as an icon, or in a silly meme, is fine - just ask first!
I don't do requests for things I am not interested in, and I probably will not draw your OC for free. I do take suggestions for things I am interested in, and might do the occasional art trade with mutuals/friends. I do also take commissions (but my sheet needs a big update, so prices may change soon).
I switch sonas around a lot! Bean is my main one (in a semi-realistic style and a more cartoonish one), but do not be surprised if I am sometimes depicted as a furry or a monster now and then.
These sonas are also both a representation of me, and characters in my stories. I try to define when I am 'in-character' and 'out-of-character', so please keep this in mind when commenting/asking.
Fanart of my characters and AUs is okay, and always appreciated! Please try to represent the characters(s) the best you can, and ask before doing making significant design changes (such as a 'Genderbend' or 'Species Swap' etc). Again, I am forgetful, so if I do not acknowledge it within a week or so, please give me a nudge!
I don't mind minors following, as most of my stuff is SFW, but please keep in mind that I am an adult, and may upload an occasional suggestive post or joke. These are also tagged as needed.
Good golly this is so long, but I think that's it for this part
---
Interests
I am currently mainly into Pizza Tower, and the OCs I have created for it, so that is mostly what you will see at the moment! - I have currently two AUs I am focused on, mainly the one where it's just my interpretation of the game (no name for this one yet), and then my secondary called 'Cheeseshop AU', with Brick the Rat as the protag, and species are swapped! (So Brick is human, Peppino and Gustavo are rats etc)
I also have a lot of original stories, characters and concepts, and will post those too! I tend to jump from idea to idea and back again, so do not mind if I am talking about one genre in one post, and then it completely changes the next post. (Although most are just slice-o-life with fantasy elements)
Other interests are: FNAF (previous hyperfixation, kinda comes and goes and may have occasional posts here), Bugsnax (also a previous hyperfixation, mainly when the game came out but not so much any more), Pokemon (not a hyperfixation, I just think they're neat), and... That's pretty much it, that I can think of! I don't tend to get into fandoms much, and I just focus on one thing for years haha
I am also not really looking for other things to be interested in, so please do not take it personally if I do not look at or get into anything suggested to me.
---
Content Warnings
As mentioned before, I vent a lot, but I also enjoy drawing some body horror or gore for fun, if the mood strikes! These are tagged simply as '[thing]' for blocking purposes, but please let me know if there are tags I have missed!
Common, will not be tagged: Mild Body Horror (things like extra eyes or limbs, or slightly melty people etc), Scars, Foul Language, Depictions of Panic Attacks/Meltdowns, Use of Caps and Glitched/Zalgo text
Uncommon, will be tagged: Eye Strain, Alcohol Use, Smoking (mostly regular cigarettes, but maybe weed too), Partial Nudity (bare chests mostly), Mildly Suggestive Jokes or Imagery, Emetophobia/Vomit, Blood, Violence, Moderate to Severe Body Horror (like excessive amounts of extra eyes or teeth, beings fused together etc), Guns, Self-Harm, Suicidal Thoughts, Gore, Implied Cannibalism, Implied Death
Rare, will be tagged, and under a read-more cut: Very Suggestive Jokes or Imagery, On Screen Cannibalism, On Screen Death
---
Tags and Other Blogs/Links
My text post/ask tag is 'bean talks too much' and OC tags are 'OC: [OC's name]'. Other tags are for organisation, or just me talking to myself - and I do that a lot.
I am SmallTimidBean pretty much everywhere, although I mainly only post here, my characters to my Toyhou.se or ARPG stuff on my DeviantArt - and I have a Kofi, if you want to send a tip my way! (Not necessary, but very much appreciated if you do!)
I do have a Discord, but I am not comfortable giving it out unless we have interacted at least a few times! If you do find it by chance, please do not just send a friend request, I am unlikely to accept it for my own comfort.
My main blog, and the one that I follow from, is @smalltimidbean-reblogs - mainly just reblogs of art I like, animals or funny posts.
My currently active askblog is @ask-the-totally-real-peppino - an ask blog for Pep (my version of Fake Peppino from Pizza Tower)
I have several other askblogs, and just blogs in general, but I will put them under cut, as most are inactive or plain dead (I just keep them for archival sake, or the rare chance I may return to them)
@ask-the-music-man - Inactive FNAF askblog for Music Man, DJ Music Man and other FNAF characters, might return to it at some point but not right now
@we-bear-wicked-smiles - Inactive FNAF askblog for Nightmare and the other Nightmare animatronics, might also return to it but also not right now
@ask-lionel-ottaviani - Inactive askblog for a monster security guard named Lionel, will probably never return to it bc the group it was a part of disbanded, and I have bad memories with it - however Lionel and his friends show up here and an AU version where he is human feature on the Music Man blog
@bensnax - Inactive Bugsnax blog, was mostly reblogs, but I did intend to post my Grumpus characters there too (I think there's like one post of some of them) - probably will not return any time soon, as Bugsnax is not a major interest right now
@ask-a-genectric - Inactive Pokemon askblog for a Gengar/Manectric hybrid called Lexus, would like to return to it but unlikely
@the-bashful-skuntank - Inactive Pokemon askblog for a Skuntank named Fleur, would also like to return to it but unlikely
@thedailyzangoose - Previously a daily blog for the Pokemon Zangoose, but was revamped into an askblog for a troop of Zangoose characters, inactive and unlikely to return to it
@little-beast-bakery - A suggestion based blog to create little characters for people to adopt, never got off the ground and probably never will
I have a few other blogs that were OC specific askblogs, but I never posted to them, so no reason to link them. I did also have two NSFW blogs that are still technically up, but were nuked after the NSFW ban of 2018 - I am not going to link them for obvious reasons, but if you do somehow find them, keep it to yourself please!
Okay, this is very long, but I think that is it! Thank you for reading if you are down here!

- Intro Post ⋆。°✩
| Hello! My name is Max/Bee/Star or V1 and i am 19. This is primarily my otherkin/personal blog, however ill probably post whatever. ^^
i'm an artist and occasional animator, i also do livestreams every so often. i love drawing robots or fanart of things i like, i also draw furries. I am autistic, adhd and likely (quiet) bpd.
i am agender, my pronouns are they/he/it/bot. i do not mind most gendered terms (although i tend to prefer the masc ones, there is exceptions) so you can use he or "look at the little guy!" the way you would if you saw a little robot wearing a fancy hat. Im also Greysexual and Queer.
My Kins/Kintypes (will go more in depth another time)
Robotkin/Machinekin - Nonspecific, i feel this with anything that could be referred to as a machine, electronic or mechanical. Although with robots im most attached to ones with non-humanoid faces. This was the first kin-thing i discovered about myself!
Angelkin - i believe this is also nonspecific, but im most drawn to multiple winged ones, the statues of angels, or depictions of them being abstract like beings of pure light.
Fictionkin - v Here is a list of my fictional character kins v
Starscream (Transformers) - My highest(and most intense) kin, mainly G1 starscream or similar versions (earthspark and some comics). He is incredibly important to me. Skyfire also plays an important comfort role to me because of this kin, I do ship them so i am incredibly attached to them both.
Bumblebee (Transformers) - Much less intense of a kin, i mainly kin G1 or the bumblebee movie version (or similar ones in some comics once again)
V1 (ULTRAKILL) - Realised this kin at the same time i realised i was robotkin! Was also a very intense kin, however its calmed down as im hyperfixated on starscream/transformers at the moment.
Questioning/not sure
Starkin - This may link with Angelkin, as i do see stars and angels as connected/appearing similar.. not sure.
Birdkin - Same thing, i do very much relate with having wings. some of their behaviours i also feel attached to, but im unsure if its just because i associate them with other kins..
Deerkin - Ive had certain shifts that seem to align with deer, ive always been quite drawn to them.
Foxkin - i connect a lot with the way foxes act and used to identify with them a lot in my early teen years, some shifts ive had could also align with them.
Interests (some, at least..)
Transformers (current special interest) | Robots/anything mechanical (also special interest)
Space/Sci-fi | Character analysis (or overanalysing..) | Art/Animation (of course)
(Any kind of) Science ( i am not smart enough to understand it fully but im autistic enough to find it exciting regardless /hj)
Video games in general (ULTRAKILL, Undertale/Deltarune, Fnaf, Splatoon, Portal, to name a few) | Phasmophobia/Lethal Company/Among us
Clowns/Jesters | Markiplier (his videos and his projects) | Good omens
Other
With fictional kins i do tend to feel discomfort with doubles (people who share the same kin) however you can still interact, i do try to look past the discomfort.
DNI if youre a weirdo (proship, homophobe/transphobe, racist, ect.)
i'll likely never post anything entirely nsfw here, but im not sure about suggestive stuff,. it will be tagged if i do, so if you dont want to see that it should be easily filtered out! i'll likely leave it all below a "read more" anyway just to be safe.
Dont be shy to interact! whether its to ask questions or anythin!

@prayforelves I almost missed this cuz it wasnt in an ask but SURE HERE WE GO
4. Fav character/subject that's a bitch to draw
ARMOR. Also women in general really give me the business. I'm slowly getting better but everything I draw tends to have a masculine twinge to it regardless.
Also, hands, which I feel like is a fair answer. I wish I was better at drawing them because they are SO expressive.
12.Easiest part of body to draw
Nothings easy to draw what are you talking about dsjgdfg
With humanoids honestly its less what part is easiest and more what level of clarity is most comfortable. I get the most enjoyment out of art when I'm in the tie-down stage of a sketch, so in that sense, everything's easier cuz the idea is already down from my gesture, but I'm not trying to make everything look good with linework.
Beyond that, my default "easy" subject is always dragons, and if we're going to go there then it's their wonderful toothy faces.
25.Something your art has been compared to that you were NOT inspired by
For a long time, Pokemon, especially since back in the day I drew a lot more creatures than I did humans. Double that down by the fact that I drew INCREDIBLY cartoony and you had anyone who didn't actually know what pokemon was thinking I was drawing pokemon.
These days I get asked a lot if I watch anime, which I really don't, but I think its the catch all term for anyone who doesn't know anything about media. If it's semi realistic and not "Disney", it must be anime.
26. What's a piece that got a wildly different interpretation from what you intended
All my art tends to be representational so I haven't encountered this problem, but used to get people who thought I was a furry. Which, wasn't a surprise, since I took a lot of furry commissions back in the day, but I never considered myself one. These days it doesnt happen at all since I completely pivoted and stopped taking commissions altogether.

Hold up one second, I don't know if you're still taking requests atm, but are there any rules or conditions that we should be aware of? Do they have to involve certain fandoms and such? And are crossovers also allowed?
SOOO just as a general answer for requests:
Not gonna do anything nsfw
I’m not good at drawing furries/animals but i AM willing to try just as a doodle :)
They don’t have to be from anything in particular! If I don’t know the character, obviously it may not be as accurate as someone who does, but I’m still willing to attempt!
Crossovers , OCs , literally any character is allowed as long as you give me a good enough idea of what I’m doing— photos or descriptions appreciated for OCs of course :)
Requests will never be ‘closed’ (unless it’s in my bio) so feel free to ask me to draw stuff whenever, though I can’t promise I’ll 100% do all of them— but my ask box is always open regardless
AND MOST IMPORTANTLY! I’m just doing these for fun! I may not get to everyone’s requests, and they may not all have the same level of detail or effort put into them, it’s just what I feel like doing at the time I decide to do it! Otherwise, I’d ask for money. Also, may take differing amounts of time because of school and such..
Basically, request away— within the guidelines of ‘i am 17 and am not going to draw anything creepy or weird’, at least.

[Image description: An Undertale textbox with the name “Toriel” in the middle, between two of Toriel’s talksprites. The left one is wide-eyed and blushing, the one on the right shows an open-mouthed smile. End of ID]
Toriel is often referred to as Goat Mom, and love for her as a mother character is consistent throughout the responses. Some people are overwhelmed by the grief over her lost children, which makes her one of the most tragic living characters in the game. Others feel connected to her as if she were their own mom, wishing that she could be present in real life. Still there are others who acknowledge her role as a mother, and are glad that canon gives more depth and autonomy to her character than that, even if fandom does not always follow in canon’s footsteps (see highlighted response #2).
Aside from her role as a mother, Toriel fans appreciate both her rage and her silliness, showing the complexity there is to her character.
Responders also liked her visual design. Not all responders elaborated on what specifically appeals about it, but a few mention that she looks like she would give good hugs. Others refer to her as a “MILF” or are attracted to her as a furry.
In comparison to other Undertale characters, it’s notable that no responders mentioned Toriel being personally relatable. This may be why she has among the fewest fans of all the major characters. Only 2.3% (60 responders) picked her as their favorite character. Several responses noted the difficulty of choosing, so it is possible that responders who picked other characters debated choosing her.
Regardless of how many responders picked Toriel as their favorite, those who did have a lot to say about her. Read the highlights below for more details on what her fans love about her.
Highlights: (under the cut)
This was a really difficult decision for me because I am so deeply attached to many of the main characters, and it is so very tempting for me to put sans because he is the one I have spent most of my energy on and most of my friends associate me with him. However, my true favorite is Toriel. I think her being the first monster you meet to be kind to you unwaveringly and yet all of her actions are so heavy with grief and fear… I think about her. I think about her choice to lock herself away and what it must be like to raise and release child after child, knowing full well what will happen to them and that she would have the power to stop it if she would leave the ruins and I wonder what keeps her. I think Toriel’s choice of inaction is what draws me to her, and I love her relationships with the rest of the cast—especially in the true pacifist ending. Goat Mom Is Dear To Me <3
Big cozy goat mom
She's very powerful but lives a quiet peaceful life by choice and I admire her for both of those reasons. Also she's a milf and I'm very gay
Her character and whole back story interests me, how she vows to protect the lives of children and just how much she has gone through.
Toriel is a strong female character that shows femininity is not weakness.
I think she's a fantastic example of a character who is a woman, whose flaws are natural extensions of her positive qualities as well as her trauma, and who's a bit selfish and messes up, but is still viewed unquestionably as a good person. I also like how at the end of the game, her arc doesn't have her immediately forgive Asgore and get together with him, nor does it put her with anyone else. Asgore's shown to be a good person, but she's still allowed to establish boundaries, and I think it's a lot healthier for the both of them. That said, I would like it a lot if she were allowed to be single in comics and fanworks more often. Most of the time I read her, she's Sans' or Asgore's girlfriend, or Frisk/Chara/Asriel's mother first, and an autonomous character second. I think there should be more fics where Frisk goes missing and instead of Sans doing a rescue mission, it's Toriel. I think if her stats match Asgore's, she should be allowed to go a little feral, allowed to have some cool weapons and fire attacks. She's not demonized like Chara or Asgore often are, but I still think it's a shame her complex character is so often flattened to 'perfect wife and mother', and her trauma isn't explored as often as, say, Sans.

Some of the most visible words are: Toriel, Mom, Love, Think, Kind, Cool, Give, and Goat, which represent the most common words in the essays people wrote about her. End of ID]

if it's not too much trouble, could u do a fit rating of kawaii-chan/nana? there's quite a lot of variety i think! <3
sure anon!! kc has a habit of never looking at the light source so apologies in advance for the quality of the images.
MYSTREET FIT REVIEW- KAWAII-CHAN/NANA ASHIDA/KC
MYSTREET SEASON ONE - CASUAL
Tumblr media
KC's first fit always gave me pink Miku energy? The miniskirt and the no sleeve top with the armwarmers are cute, but impractical as her all season fit. The color scheme of the fit is mostly good though!! The pinks are light enough to stand out from her hair, and the white looks nice. The gray bands on her arm are ugly and match nothing. Also I think they changed her back bow for this fit alone?
4/10
MYSTREET SEASON ONE - FORMAL
Tumblr media
Not a fan. For whatever reason they lightened her skin for this fit (it goes back to normal after this episode) so the white sundress fails to stand out. The pink accents are similar in color to her hair, making it hard to tell wear her hair ends and the stripes start. Speaking of hair, KC's bangs were edited by an enderman casually removing chunks and placing them down wherever it wants.
2/10
PHOENIX DROP HIGH - CASUAL
Tumblr media
The fit itself is cute!! The soft pink sweater with the purple miniskirt is adorable and the colors chosen go great together. The color of the sweater is similar in value to KCs skin, and the bright pink bows dont fit with the rest of the outfit. Maybe if the bows were the same purple as the skirt it would look better?
5/10
PHOENIX DROP HIGH - PJS
Tumblr media
bunny pj,,,bunny slipper,,short hair kc
9/10
LOVE LOVE PARADISE - CASUAL
Tumblr media
Extremely relieved the skinmaker used KCs hairbows as the color for the actual outfit. The fit looks intentional, and not just slapping pink all over her because thats her designated color. The design of the bikini is cute enough considering this is minecraft, and the shade of pink compliments her orange eyes without clashing with her hair. Not a fan of KCs change in bang style since the old one was unique to her, but the new one doesn’t look bad. This is also the season Jesson began using 3D models for all the furry characters, and regardless of how bad they may or may not look still disapointed they changed KCs ear color from white to pink.
8/10
MYSTREET SEASON 3 - CASUAL
Tumblr media
This fit slaps!! The color pallete is simple, making the fit look equally cute and professional! The bright pink of her dress is in a similar cool shade as her hair, and the bows are also dress purple! The puffy sleeves are rendered well and the necktie draws the whole thing together. Mature KC for her buisness owner arc
10/10
MYSTREET SEASON THREE - MAID
Tumblr media
I don’t really know why KC is in purple since the cafe uses extremely literal color coordination and Aph works here, but the purple used looks cute!! The actual design of the maid outfit is a neat maid outfit! The bows are out of place maybe make them purple?
8/10
MYSTREET SEASON FIVE - CASUAL
Tumblr media
I like the fit in theory. Pastel pink is her brand and the pop of blue actually looks nice. However, the pink is really similar in value to her hair and the blue, and the bikini bottom and top have two different pinks for no reason? The bows are back to the earlier seasons warm bright pink, and dont match the fit. KC’s hair gradient makes the bow look like an extension of her hair.

MYSTREET SEASON SIX - CASUAL
Tumblr media
I’m sorry the HD bows are ugly. S6 at least gives KC an excuse to not match the bows to her fit, but literally why is she wearing them they make her easily recognizable. The short sleeved hoodie is disgusing, and the purple is literally the same value as her hair. And the khakis? The khakis??
1/10
MYSTREET SEASON SIX - FORMAL
Tumblr media
Why are her bangs straight? Why is the mask her hair color? Why are the ruffles rendered so unflatteringly? How did they find the worst shades of pink? Why is the center ornament yellow? Why the black shoes? Why does she stand like that? Who thought of this? Who approved this?
0/10
TOTAL SCORE - 5.1/10

INTRODUCING THE PURPLE SASQUATCH
Hey everyone! I wanted to let you all know that I’ve been cooking up some OC’s recently and I really want to share them with you all!! Unfortunately I don’t have any artistic talent, but I’m sure that if I give a half-hearted visual description, then I can sit back and hope that you all will love them enough to provide that part!!!!!!!!!!! :D!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(under the readmore)
So these OC’s are a member of a central group known as the “Purple Sasquatch”. They are a small group of cowpokes that travel around the Wild Wild West together. But not just any Wild West. A different Wild West than what we might know. One overrun with great beasts and cryptids. They are infamous for being a close-knit team that always wears the color purple in some capacity and are known by some others to be “in the pioneer business for selfish reasons” only bothering to fight monsters near native villages and not even bothering with helping build the new towns. They each conceal their true identities, opting to use a codename reflecting an instrument used for artistic creation due to the head of the group’s belief that the earth supplies a grand canvas and beautiful materials. It is simply up to them to use what is provided to create masterpieces in collaboration with the earth. Additionally, once one has become a member of the group for long enough to prove their loyalty, they are marked by wearing iconography of a bug on them in some way.
Oil is the head of the clan, always donning his trademark purple Stetson that has seen quite a few rough days. Incidentally, it was noticed that the somewhat torn hat looked exactly like the head of a beetle. This was what inspired him to put the Sasquatch together. His short sandy blonde hair and deeply tanned skin contrast each other like nobody’s business, and he wears a dark purple vest over his large muscular frame. He founded the troupe of pioneers after he and a couple others came across a cryptid that had been terrorizing a native tribe and they managed to subdue it together while also protecting its life from another crew of pioneers who wished to hunt it. He acts as a moral core, being the strong leader that everyone finds only fitting to follow, but is never afraid to get tough when he needs to.
Chisel is considered to be the second in command, and is one of the most wanted people in the country. She is a Beastial (which is an in-universe version of a Furry lol) of the Fox variety, sporting a dark crimson fur coat. Despite the darker fur coat, she still opts to wear a beautiful purple poncho weaved by a tribe that she and oil had helped when they had first formed the Sasquatch. The poncho has beautiful patterns of mantises sewn upon them. Chisel is most wanted because she will not take no for an answer and won’t tolerate injustice for even a moment. This gets her into trouble with the wrong people, but when you’re as handy as Chisel is with a revolver, that sort of problem settles itself.
Clay was one of the three founding members of the Sasquatch and was indispensable for helping to somehow, against all odds, subdue a number of the cryptids they meet. With a heart of gold and an adoration for the beasts that walk the earth, it seems almost magical how he can make the Sasquatch’s horses run almost twice as fast simply by giving them a genuine pep talk. Others have wondered if he can talk to horses, but he denies being able to. He sports a short buzzed head of red hair and green eyes along his freckled face. He’s usually found wearing a purple fringe jacket, with each fringe having a very small hand-sculpted ant he sculpts together after he makes a friend. However, if you threaten his friends, then he’s perfectly capable in a fight. After all, he’s learned that some people unfortunately don’t want to be friends.
Watercolor is an exciteable zoologist who wears thick glasses to frame her brown eyes, almost always wearing her frizzy purple-dyed hair in a ponytail. While she’s far from equipped for any danger, that doesn’t save her from her own curiosity as she was originally found by the Sasquatch trapped in the web of a monstrous spider. The group never let her live it down, granting her a spider-shaped bolo tie. that she wears over he denim overalls and purple flannel. She isn’t incredibly helpful in a fight, but she has quite the mind for strategies on the fly and is always able to lighten the mood.
Brush is an Avian Beastial (a Bird Furry) with bright orange feathers and a white tuft around the chest. He’s considered to be the one that’s most “out there”, constantly tinkering around with any machinery they might be able to find, always attempting to create “an imaginative window into the future!”. Some of these inventions can be useful, such as stun guns and keeping food cold. Others are mundane (such as a ball that can “read your mind so long as you answer its twenty yes or no questions first”) or simply don’t work. But seeing what Brush has whipped up is never a dull experience, especially with his theatricality regardless of how dull the item itself comes across. He almost always wears a denim jean jacket and denim jean shorts, usually covering anything else he can wear in denim. This has been mentioned to him multiple time and he simply does not care. On the back of his denim jacket is a sick looking purple dragonfly design
I might have more one day, but I hope you enjoy these cool characters!!! I know that I don’t really do original characters that much, but I wouldn’t be shocked if I end up shifting my content around these little bastards! They’re just so unique, I doubt I’ll do anything like them again!
If you decide to draw fanart of any of them I’ll die in real life! Send it over my way!! Thank you all!!

Hazbin Hotel and VivziePop Drama
I've been hearing/seeing a lot of drama concerning Hazbin Hotel and it's creator VivziePop, and while I don't know her personally or really care what people think, I do hate slander and the spread of misinformation. Truly nothing in this world upsets me more than when people believe rumours while making no effort to fact check, and that's exactly what's happening right now. That said, I wanted to try and clear up some of the rumours going around about Vivzie and the show, because I think some of them are absolutely outrageous and need to be addressed.
1. Vivzie hired an abuser onto the show.
Now, I’m not here to burn anyone at the stake, especially since I don’t know anything about Chris Niosi (the alleged abuser), who I believe openly admitted to the allegations? Regardless, this is a moot point. He’s not credited anywhere at the end of the episode. So either he was booted before production wrapped up or he had nothing to do with the show in the first place.
2. Vivzie supports bestiality.
Admittedly I thought this one might be true, since she draws so many anthropomorphic animals. In the very least, I figured she was probably a furry, but I haven't seen any evidence supporting this accusation either. Near as I can tell, this rumour started for two reasons. One, because of her famous Zoophobia comic, which revolves around a therapist named Cameron who gets assigned to work with human-like animals. Ironically, poor Cameron suffers from crippling zoophobia, which makes for some pretty decent comedy. I didn't read the whole comic because, quite frankly, it’s not my cup of tea and I just don’t have the time. But from what I saw there are no examples of bestiality anywhere in its contents.
Two, this message, which blew up all over social media:
Tumblr media
To me, this just proves that people are more interested in virtue signalling than checking to see if their claims are actually true. Everything about this message is 100% false, which I’ll touch on in my next point.
3. Vivzie is a pedophile and she’s drawn child porn.
This is hands down the worst allegation and holy shit, I really wish people would stop using it to defame someone when they don't have any proof. This is a life-ruining accusation and you're disgusting if you believe it based solely on hearsay. This rumour began to spread when Vivzie allegedly shipped the two underage characters in the above photo and drew them NSFW-style. At the time, one character was 19 while the other was 14, and the relationship was a very illegal student-teacher relationship.
This is WRONG! The characters were not 14 and 19, they were actually 18 and 19, the legal age of consent! Additionally, the relationship wasn't student-teacher. One character is a student and the other is Alumni (a student teacher). This one pisses me off the most because it’s obvious the person who sent that message didn’t even bother to conduct any research. They said, “He’s a teacher, she’s a child.” Both characters are MALE!
Since then, Vivzie has apologised for any NSFW art she drew in the past and stated that it's not a reflection of her art today, and I'm inclined to believe her. Almost every artist has drawn NSFW content at some point in their career, and hers wasn't even distasteful. Other than this one example, there is no evidence anywhere that suggests she’s drawn “child porn”. In fact, she’s never even drawn explicit NSFW.
Please stop spreading this rumour. It’s dangerous and completely incorrect.
4. Vivzie said the "N" word!
No, she didn’t. It was a fabricated tweet. That is all.
5. Vivzie is copyright striking every video that criticises her!
No she isn't. YouTube’s DMCA is automatically striking people who are using full clips without permission. Vivzie has gone public several times, telling people exactly how to avoid getting a copy strike from the algorithm, which is something she absolutely does not have to do. At this point, she doesn't owe you anything. In my opinion, she should just sit back and watch these channels burn.
Tumblr media
6. Vivzie copies and traces other artists’ work.
This is another one I’ve seen going around, but I looked into it as thoroughly as I could and failed to find any concrete evidence to support the allegations. As of right now, there are only two examples of Vivzie “copying” or “tracing” other artists’ work, and both of them can be explained. The first is a gif she made with a character from her Zoophobia comic, which looked a lot like the girl from ME!ME!ME!:
Tumblr media
Damn, that’s pretty incriminating. She obviously stole-- oh, wait. This gif was part of a ME!ME!ME! MEP (multi editor’s project) and Vivzie didn’t take full credit, despite the fact that it’s not even a direct trace. It’s supposed to look like the original, which she fully cited. The second example comes from a short dance sequence from her Timber video, which seems to have been inspired by several Disney movies. As Vivzie herself stated, that was an homage to the original animations. Lots of artists and shows do this, including the beloved Stephen Universe series.
Tumblr media
Regardless, this doesn’t count as stealing character designs or plagiarising someone’s work. It’s meant to be respectful, an admiration of other projects. Other than these two instances, however, there is no evidence of her tracing or stealing other people’s art. From what I’ve discovered, all other designs she’s been accused of “stealing” are characters she bought and paid for. They’re quite literally HER characters.
7. Vivzie supports problematic creators.
I’m getting really tired of guilt by association. Vivzie follows and enjoys some controversial figures, but who cares? We can argue all day about whether or not the accusations against them are true, but it ultimately has nothing to do with the show or Vivzie as a person. I do the exact same thing, to be honest-- follow and listen to people on all sides so I can learn, understand, and form my own opinions. The fact that some people think this is bad, to me, is absolutely mesmerising. Vivzie doesn’t control what the people she follows post, and if they do something overly questionable she publicly criticises and denounces it.
From Vivzie:
Tumblr media
Now that that’s been dealt with, I’d like to address some complaints/claims about the actual show.
8. Vaggie is an angry Latina stereotype and a lesbian stereotype. Vivzie is appropriating Hispanic culture and misrepresenting the gay for profit.
First off, I see a lot of people passing around yet more misinformation regarding Vivzie's race. So many people seem to think she's white? Well, I'm here to tell you they're wrong. Very incorrect. Vivzie is in fact Latina, and Vaggie is meant to mirror some of her own personality traits.
Tumblr media
Second, who is Vaggie mad at? Context matters, and if we take a look at the episode, we see that Vaggie is literally only mad at two specific people: Angel Dust and Alastor. Why? Well, for starters, it's her girlfriend's dream to run a rehab hotel for sinners, and Angel Dust nearly demolishes that dream single-handedly. Vaggie has every right to be over-the-top vitriolic. Then there's Alastor, a known sadist, narcissist, and murderer who loves trapping people in his nefarious schemes. He invites himself in, effectively takes over the hotel, and pushes both her and Charlie aside. At one point he even sexually assaults her by slapping her butt during his musical number. So yeah, I think her seething ire is totally justified. Keep in mind, however, that when she's around Charlie she's calm, collected, and happy. I wouldn't call that a stereotype.
Thirdly, the lesbian stereotypes. I keep hearing this argument but I really don't see it. Both Vaggie and Charlie have so much personality and trust for each other. Maybe I'm wrong, but the stereotype I know always totes a more butch, tomboyish woman with a ditsy, innocent, naive woman. Charlie is optimistic, but she isn't stupid. She refuses to shake Alastor’s hand because she knows he’s likely trying to screw her over. She’s also not entirely innocent herself and uses words like “fuck” and “shit”. I also wouldn’t call Vaggie butch or tomboyish. She has a cute, girly presentation, complete with a pink ribbon in her hair, lace stockings, and a dress. She's protective of her girlfriend, as I think we all are with our partners, and there's nothing wrong with that. They're flawed characters, as every character is meant to be. This isn't a problem.
9. The show is racist, sexist, homophobic, transphobic, blah, blah, blah.
I’m amazed this is even an argument. The show is supposed to be a dark comedy that takes place in HELL. You know, the place the worst of the worst end up after they die? What were you expecting? Everyone gets a shot or two fired at them, but that doesn't make them bad characters nor does it make the show itself horrible. Take, for example, Katie Killjoy, the news reporter so many people are up in arms about. She says she doesn’t “touch the gays” because she has “standards”. Well, here’s a newsflash of my own: we’re not supposed to like her! She’s an antagonist. Not to mention ten seconds later Charlie insults her and isn’t the least bit slighted by her pretentious attitude. The characters are strong and don’t take shit from anyone, because to some degree they’re all terrible people who can throw down when it’s called for.
Obviously if you don’t like the show or think it’s offensive, I’m probably not going to change your mind. That’s perfectly fine. You’re entitled to your opinions and you don’t have to watch the show. Just stop lying and stop trying to take it away from everybody else. Stop attacking Vivzie and spreading misinformation without checking the facts. I realise a lot of people probably aren’t trying to be vindictive and only want to do something good, but just remember this: the road to hell is paved with good intentions.

Hello everyone, it’s Munday, which means I make one big OOC post so I don’t clog the rest of the week with ‘em! It’s just rando things that pop in my head or that’s happening in my life, basically. Not necessary reading, really a big Facebook post.
- I’ve really been missing cuddling Dart, so I’ve taken to holding the bison plushy that I got right after he died, as the other rodents aren’t snugglers like he was. - A box of new toys arrived for the ratties, and their new cage should be coming too! - Speaking of that, apologies there aren’t more photos of Maia and Sugar, they are VERY squiggly!! -  When I had my Phantom of the Opera phase (as many nerd girls do) my favorite character was, of course, the Phantom, like every other nerd girl who watched it and latched on to the lonely outcast side regardless of the whole. . . stalking and manipulation and murder thing. Now, as an adult, my favorites are Carlotta, Piangi, the Persian, and the Ratcatcher. You know what that is? Growth. -  Think of rats Think of rats fatly Portly and divine Please feed them Once in awhile Just promise me you'll try! - Confession: There is just something weird about how Dauterman draws faces, to me at least. He’s not a bad artist, everything else he does is lovely, nor does his work seem in any way problematic/objectifying/etc, just the faces look really stiff and odd to me.  -  Ratsquerade! Rodent faces on parade! -  Whenever I see vampires in media that are more resistant to sunlight than the rest of their ilk in that same piece, the general rule is that the vampire is older and thus stronger (as strength and age typically go hand in hand in vampire media). For instance, exposing Akasha and Enkil to the sun in The Vampire Chronicles didn't kill them or even really hurt him much, and the Master survived direct sunlight in The Strain tv series even if it was painful to them, while in both series younger vampires would go up in flames instantly. But I like the idea of younger vampires being more resistant to the light and older vampires being more vulnerable to it despite their greater powers. It kinda makes more sense in my head. - One of the things I love about WtA (Werewolf: The Apocalpyse) is that werewolves and other fera (wereanimals) have a purpose. There’s a Big Bad (The Wyrm) and its agents to fight in what seems a neverending struggle, and they were each created to serve or defend Gaia in a different way. The idea of werewolves having a concrete objective REASON to exist is something I’ve never seen in any other werewolf media, and it forms the basis for much of their culture in this setting as well as giving them a USAGE for all their cool gifts, and foes against which those gifts aren’t necessarily always enough. It’s like, congrats, you are an eight foot tall furry killing machine with magical powers but guess what---you have to use them in the service of a greater being, against greater foes. I just really like it, not to mention that the fantasy of being an eco-terrorist who is largely unfettered by care for human life appeals to a part of me. No, I would never ever want to actually hurt anyone in real life, not even the most heartless polluter CEO or big game poacher or sadistic dog fight ringleader, but playing a beast in fantasy that isn’t human and doesn’t have much of a care for human life in most cases sounds like a fun release. Which, speaking of that, I also like how detached from humanity they are. Some individuals or groups may have strong opinions, like the Red Talons wanting to do away with all humanity, but by and large they’re indifferent to us, and their love or hatred of humanity isn’t what defines them as good or bad, which I like. I love supernatural creatures that AREN’T written with a human-centric perspective. - And one of the things I like about the “Bloodlines” Vampire the Masquerade PC game is how much people love it, to the point they make huge fan-made mods that not only fix problems with it (it was released REALLY buggy and glitchy) but expand it. There are mod packs you can get that add entirely new quests and characters, meaning they got people to not only make new skins but do voice acting for these new characters, all as a labor of love for this game. It’s really a cult classic because, again, it’s a mess in a lot of technical regards, but the writing, story, and characters are so great that countless people (including me) just fell in love with it. I just love the passion projects people made for it.  - Speaking of werewolves and vampires and such, I really want to get my muse back for supernatural-type RP boards. Those used to be my jam but now all I write is X-men. I tried to write at a friend’s Sailor Moon board but I just couldn’t keep it up. I’ve been watching this one place for months. I’m just not sure I wouldn’t crap out again. There’s also another X-Men board that I’ve wanted to join for months and they *want* a Shaw there, but they would also require six posts a month from him. And I don’t know if I can manage that with all my other commitments too, especially since I’m running an event at one of the other X-Men boards that I’m at, and plan to run more since I’m writing Shaw as an active villain there. - Also dfjdjsg I’m glad I’m doing this Rattober thing because it is the ONLY art I can seem to get done right now.

Since it’s Valentines Day, I guess it’s time for me to share the fictional crushes I’ve had on characters throughout my life:
My Fictional Crushes Throughout History:
Shadow The Hedgehog
Shadow was the first fictional crush that I had as a kid and the one that I can mention at the top of my head with some bravery and expectation of confusion and humiliation from others. I guess after learning of his existence in Sonic Riders (my first Sonic game) and onwards into the Sonic series (and a bit of Smash), I started to develop a crush on Shadow thanks to his design and personality after learning more and more about him. I believe that his portrayal in Sonic X especially had an effect. I mean, I wasn’t the only one to have a fictional crush on Shadow, considering how many fan girls he’s had over the years.
Mephiles The Dark
And then after Shadow, I eventually developed a fictional crush on Mephiles from Sonic ‘06. I believe I was 12 or 13 at the time that I did. I’d say this one is even weirder than the Shadow crush. But if it wasn’t for my interest in Mephiles and well, Solaris as a whole, I probably wouldn’t have discover my interests in the sources that beings like Solaris is based off of, like biblical mythology and other forms of mythology, space-time itself, and the sun and the moon. Therefore, they have been an important and influential character to me as unique as that may be to others. Delving more into Solaris in ‘06, I started to believe that he wasn’t the true villain of Sonic ‘06 as he was an entity whose power was being misused in the wrong hands of a very desperate and selfish human. That being the Duke of Soleanna, who wanted to save his wife from whatever presumed death that she had by harnessing Solaris’ power over time itself and even find a way to give humanity the power of time-travel in order to correct their past mistakes which mind you, is a bullshit and an absolutely dangerous, selfish, and idiotic idea. Perhaps one of the worst ideas I have ever heard in my life. Humanity absolutely does not deserve to be in possession of such abilities at all, PERIOD. Imagine all the recklessness, greed, bickering, fights, and just flat-out stupidity. Ugh, you’re just giving humanity the ability to not only make more mistakes, but potentially worsen their past mistakes. LIKE, WHAT THE HELL WAS HE THINKING?!?! I mean, when you learn that, it’s absolutely no fucking wonder why Solaris got all pissed and went batshit crazy throughout space-time. I mean, I would’ve too if some fucking idiot tampered with my power and form like that. And it didn’t help that Eggman was obliviously trying to repeat the same stupid action that the Duke did. I swear mad scientists tend to be the true evil and the creator of evil in existence. They’re one of the archetypes that do a great job at pissing me off. Well, they’re not called “mad” for nothing.
Solaris is just a misunderstood entity who just needed better guidance and treatment in existence. It’s why I even imagined the possibility of Solaris being saved and given a better chance towards redemption and understanding. After their backstory, I felt so sympathetic towards them as a character. Sure, Mephiles plan could’ve made more sense in the script by being less convoluted and more simple in the script alongside the time-travel plot itself, but we can’t forget that ‘06 was indeed rushed in development so it’s no surprise that writing for the game’s story was also rushed and didn’t have enough time for some scenes and decisions to be reconsidered.
But regardless, Solaris holds a special place in my heart and the inspiration they have given me has been a gift. So even if they’re outside of the existence of the Sonic universe, I shall never forget about them.
Crazy Hand
There was a time where I got really interested in Master Hand and Crazy Hand from Super Smash Bros. After discovering Crazy Hand’s existence in Melee, I suddenly started watching more videos featuring him and Master Hand, even if it was the same few videos. Like I was deeply analyzing the two hands in action. I was so fascinated, yet pretty intimidated by them. I believe that Crazy Hand had fascinated me the most, given the way of how he parallels Master Hand and his personality. Then all of a sudden, I started crushing on him...How utterly weird of me to be crushing on a giant floating disembodied hand of chaos and destruction....
Daxter
Daxter was my top favorite character of the Jak and Daxter series. Not to mention how much the series is a childhood icon to me. I also loved the design of ottsels/precursors. It inspired me in terms of anthro designs. I know, I’m pretty much a furry at this point with these crushes. I guess that I can now relate to Tess, who eventually became an ottsel/precursor just to officially be Daxter’s girlfriend.
Joker (P5)
Back when he was announced to be included as a fighter for Smash Ultimate. It was my first exposure to Joker and Persona 5 itself. And back when his Smash fighter self was still in development, I felt interested enough to research Joker then eventually look into Persona 5. I started to adore his design and silent protagonist self. His fluffy looking hair, glasses, phantom thief design, and personality, and that smile made me develop a crush on him. He’s pretty much the only fictional human character that I had a crush on out of all the crushes here and that’s saying something.
A Fan-made Genderbend Waifu Nightmare From Kirby
Okay....how the hell do I explain this..? So back when I had a peak interest (and fear) in one of the most underrated Kirby characters and final bosses, Nightmare, I looked up fan art of him and discovered this sorta genderbend waifu interpretation of him on the Internet. I was interested in the design, enough to make an original character of mine have their design inspired off of it and that’s mainly where my crush was targeted on. Knowing that this had to do with Nightmare from Kirby of all characters, this is perhaps the weirdest and most embarrassing crush of them all. This would just be the beginning of me getting invested into oneiric (dream) characters.
NiGHTS
When I was starting to really invest into the NiGHTS universe and NiGHTS themselves, I started to appreciate their design and personality to the point where I found it attractive and relatable at times. This crush hasn’t been a constant nor lasting one though, so I see it as a small crush instead.
Wizeman and My Own Fan-made Gender Bend Waifu Parallel of Him, “Wize-Chan”
Ah jeez, here we go again. So, um, like Nightmare, I had a notable interest in Wizeman as a character and was also greatly intimidated by them at the same time. I eventually started thinking that he was a bit cute in the first game. Seriously, why I do I eventually develop crushes on the same characters that I get scared of? Am I a psychological masochist or have Stockholm Syndrome or something? In order to ease my fear, I made the jokes on this platform on Wizeman and the other NiGHTS characters. Sometimes, fear can be a great motivator and that already scares me alone. One of those jokes involved redesigning Wizeman as a Waifu named “Wize-Chan”:
Tumblr media
When humanizing the design, I wanted to maintain the surrealism of Wizeman’s design, so I made sure not to humanize it too much. That’s why the shadowy legs are phantom-like and the robe acts more like a cloak than a robe with a presumed shadowy phantom body underneath. Probably think of it how Darkrai from Pokémon has these slim legs that it can make to stand on something. Idk. Jokes aside, I felt that this was an embarrassing thing to make. But recently, I’ve looked back on the design and I started to develop a fondness over it. She was just too adorable to ignore. It motivated me to draw more of her and establish a personality. She still maintains Wizeman’s personality and god complex, but with a tsundere touch to it. She also uses the insult “degenerate” occasionally since I imagined Wizeman in Journey of Dreams using it. (Example: “Eh? You want me to step on you? Ugh, DEGENERATE.”) She can get accused of being a furry, but she gets offended and denies it. There’s never a place for violence in a relationship, but Wize-Chan differs. I suppose Wize-Chan here can be compared to Bowsette, since it’s taking a villain and turning them into a Waifu character. You could look at it that way if you wanted to. Wize-Chan also likes to bully Owl whenever she gets the chance.
Speaking of Owl, I recently designed a Waifu form of him—
Arceus
Just a little bit. It was a minor crush. Afterwards I changed my mind and started seeing them as a mother figure instead. I like to refer to them as “mom”, “mommy”, “Mama Llama”, "o-ka'a-san" (Japanese for mom), and “Mother”. Arceus just naturally feels like a mother figure to me, as weird as that sounds. I mean, it makes sense, considering that they’re Pokémon God and God is always interpreted as referring to his creations as his children. That’s been interpreted the same for Arceus. I mean, it’s okay for your mother or father to be your valentine, right? That, and why am I so invested in creator entities/deities so much?
So over the years, I’ve had fictional crushes on 1 anthropomorphic artificial hedgehog with alien DNA, an anthropomorphic otter and weasel hybrid that also belongs to a race of ancient beings that run the universe as its god, a sun god of time, a giant floating disembodied hand that’s the destructive god of the Smash universe, Pokémon God itself until I started seeing it as my Pokémon mother, a Waifu form of a personification of nightmares, a disobedient nightmaren then eventually just their creator as well as a Waifu parallel of him, and 1 human..huh.

BNHA QUIRKS!!!
I'm organizing my notes for a character-insert story I'm writing and I felt like sharing them here!!! I think people would be interested in what I came up with.
FEEL FREE TO USE ANY OF THESE FOR YOUR OWN CHARACTERS!!
No credit needed. I made Flourish specifically with Shigaraki in mind because I know a lot of people would like to have a quirk complimentary to Decay so that Tomura can touch them safely.
and hey, self-shippers? I love you so much!! you're so awesome, pls send me some self-indulgent stuff sometime soon!!
also! Quirks that are present in my stories will be marked as IN-USE. this just means that what the quirk entails might change in the future.
FLOURISH - EMITTER (IN-USE)
touch-based quirk. complimentary to decay, rendering the user immune to decay. decay users are unaffected by flourish (cannot be healed). touching something with all five fingers heals/reverses any damage
i like the idea of decay and flourish canceling eachother out because they're complimentary quirks. shigaraki can touch you and??? you don't die?? and???? you touched shigaraki but he's not healing????? fun times
BOND - EMITTER(?) (IN-USE)
user has the ability to use a diminished version of someone's quirk if they share a strong bond with said person. Most commonly found in mutated individuals with animalistic features.
This isn't really a stand-alone quirk but more of an ability, but I still decided to include it because it has really specific requirements.
JACK OF ALL TRADES - EMITTER(?)
user can give themselves ANY quirk they desire (meaning that they can copy someone else's quirk, or create a new one entirely) this ability requires a lot of energy and while in-use, will tire the user out until the stop using the quirk or pass out. (think of it like charging your phone. eventually, the battery power will lower and you'll have to plug it in. Or you're one of those people who doesn't plug it in until it dies.) The more powerful the chosen quirk is, the longer the user will be out for. "OP" quirks like take more energy to replicate/use, and consequentially, will require a longer recovery period. Quirks like Overhaul or Decay will put the user into a comatose state. This quirk is literally just All For One Juniour Edition.
so basically like? all for one but fair. also the quirks aren't "saved" or anything, so if u want to use bakugou's explosion quirk, but ur already using tsuyu's froggy quirk to restrain something with your tongue, you'd have to stop using it and let go so you can use explosion instead.
NULLIFY - EMITTER
Touch-Based quirk. Touching someone with all five fingers will render them quirkless for 24 hours. Only works on one person at a time, and cannot be used on the same person twice in a row. Made with Shigaraki in mind.
i made this purely because i want to hold shigaraki's hand without turning into dust. also... imagine having to constantly remind yourself to keep ur pinky/middle finger off of whatever you touch. idk about you, but that's too much work for me. I'd rather just wear those gloves made for drawing tablets.
GRIM REAPER - EMITTER (IN-USE)
Touch-Based quirk. touching someone with all five fingers immediately kills them, allowing the user to harvest their soul (souls manifest as little cheeseball sized lights. they're all different colors, depending on who's soul it was.) souls can be eaten (they taste like gummi bears) whoever eats it has their body revitalized instantaneously, each and every individual cell replaced by a new and perfect copy. souls can only be captured in jars. they act like fireflies.
firefly rave... also this is literally decay but it only works on living things and also u get a snack. and a corpse. although idk i guess a corpse would count as a snack to someone. also if someone doesn't have a soul, they just die. lol
VAMPIRE - MUTANT TYPE
user is easily sunburnt, does not have a reflection, allergic to garlic (regardless of genetics) and cannot be killed unless the heart is damaged. User must drink a certain amount of blood regularly to avoid loss of inhibition (will attack nearest person to feed) and severe malnutrition, known as "bloodthirst."
honestly? this isn't really that beneficial... sunburns, no garlic bread, if you cant get enough blood you suffer and go apeshit... but I mean at least you've got circumstantial immortality.
HIGH ELF - MUTANT TYPE
user has pointed ears and is considerably taller than regular humans. naturally skilled archers, and have a strong connection to nature.
i couldn't help myself, i love DnD.
BETTA - MUTANT
fish subtype. user has fully-functional gills. The user's hair reflects the different kinds of tail types (plakat = short hair, crown tail = dreadlocs/separated strands, rose tail = long and flowy) and are naturally bright colors like red or blue. lethal close-combat skills and impressive speed. natural beauty is also a bonus
im surprised i'm not including this in my character insert story. it's my personal favorite so far. fishy!!!
WEREWOLF - TRANSFORMATION
exactly what it sounds like. full moons trigger the shift. user cannot control the shift. it's basically like periods except instead of bleeding out of your uterus, you turn into a wolf.
... yeah, i don't know what influenced this the most. the fact that i made vampires and felt obligated to also include werewolves, that i'm a furry, or that this gives me an excuse to push alpha beta omega dynamics onto bnha
GHOST RIDER - TRANSFORMATION
based on that one marvel comic series. when transformed, the user takes on the appearence of their skeletal structure engulfed in flames. the user is able to control flames and a vehicle/form of transport of their prefrence. when user establishes eye contact, the opponent will suffer the pain they have caused for others (if any.) cannot transform in direct sunlight.
i am incredibly ashamed to admit that it was only yesterday that i saw the 2007 ghost rider movie for the first time in my life. i fucking loved it. it was funny, freaky as hell, and so fucking awesome. i love ghost rider, i mean, cmon, like? that's literally what being a punk is about in a nutshell. skeletons. fire. leather jackets. metal spikes. chains. motorbikes. anti-heroes. also i really enjoyed the addition of genuine demon names. i got so excited when i recognized the name mephisopholes. the movie also gave me ACAB vibes so bonus points for that. and the little details like how johnny's fire turned blue whenever he focused on roxanne. god fuck it was a great movie i will be thinking about it for the next week or so. TL;DR THE 2007 GHOST RIDER MOVIE IS AWESOME I CANT BELIEVE I NEVER WATCHED IT. i always end up getting more attatched to the manga instead of the anime and this was no different.
P.S. lmk if you wanna know more about my character insert! i post a lot about him on my twitter account and i'm generally more active there anyways!!

Critters: The Making of a Comedy Horror Cult Classic
https://ift.tt/eA8V8J
Rupert Harvey knew he was on to something with Critters after one memorable test screening.  Specifically, it was the scene where the Critters, who had already been terrorizing the Brown family, were standing on the doorstep of the family’s home talking in their guttural language with subtitles translating for the audience…until one of them is blown to gooey bits by a shotgun blast (wielded by none other than E.T. mom Dee Wallace), and the other lets out a subtitled “Fuck.”
“It totally destroyed the audience,” Harvey recalls. “They just howled. We lost the next scene because they were laughing so hard and I thought: ‘Okay, this is probably going to work.’”
It had already taken a lot of work for Critters to get this far.
Bringing Critters to Life
Released on April 11, 1986, the horror comedy about a small town and farm-dwelling family under attack from little furry space aliens with a taste for human flesh was unfairly dismissed by some as a Gremlins knock-off.
But that did a disservice to the unique tone of Critters; a sci-fi comedy featuring belly laughs alongside genuine moments of terror. A film that owed as much to 1950s sci-fi B-movies as it did anything else, with its tale of picturesque Americana under attack from aliens.
It also overlooks the film’s quirkier narrative aspect like the pair of shapeshifting alien bounty hunters who arrive on Earth to hunt the Critters down, with one of them assuming the form of a popular Jon Bon Jovi-esque rock musician.
This surreal sci-fi tone, coupled with the copious violence, occasional bad language, and general unpredictability of it all helped give Critters the feel of a rebellious younger brother to the more mature Gremlins.
To many, it was the cooler, edgier movie and one that boasted underlying themes that remain universal to this day.
More importantly, the accusation of imitation was incorrect. If the two films were related, it wasn’t by design with screenwriter Brian Dominic Muir first writing the script for Critters back in 1982, two years before Joe Dante’s film hit cinemas.
“I don’t think I saw Gremlins until we were in post-production,” Harvey, who produced Critters and worked on two of its three original sequels, tells Den of Geek. “It was certainly not something we were thinking about very much at the time, if at all.
We were dealing with very different creatures and the fact that they were so different in concept meant I wasn’t terribly bothered by it. Gremlins were these mythical, earthbound, magical beings whereas Critters were extraterrestrial. People who say there are similarities are just influenced by the fact Gremlins was such a huge success, but it was a much bigger budget movie.”
Muir’s script didn’t see the light of day for nearly three years before he showed it to friend and fellow budding filmmaker Stephen Herek who developed it further. That was where Harvey came in.
The three men met while working on Android, a distinctive low budget sci-fi film Harvey was producing alongside independent movie trailblazer Roger Corman.
“Brian gave me Critters to read and l loved it,” Harvey recalls. “It was an archetypal American story about foreigners invading the homeland. It’s quite prescient given the current state of politics in America. There was this quintessentially American setup with this almost pioneering family struggling through adversity to come out the other side.”
35 years on, that notion of protecting the homeland is one Harvey feels is reflected in the inward-looking politics increasingly prominent in America and the UK today. That sentiment was already bubbling under the surface when Critters came out in the Reagan-era of the 1980s.
“It was novel to look at that then through the lens of Critters,” he says. “No one was seeing the film in those terms but that human fear of outsiders coming in has always been there and has been a fundamental part of cinema and drama since forever.”
Harvey agreed to develop the film under his production company, Sho Films. Though he mulled over an offer to produce a low budget version of Critters with Corman, everything changed when Bob Shaye and New Line Cinema came calling.
Writing Critters
“New Line was really a mom-and-pop operation at that point. They hadn’t made A Nightmare on Elm Street yet. They weren’t the New Line of today, but Bob offered to double our budget, so I did the deal.”
Even so, Shaye took some convincing on the choice of director.
Herek would go on to helm Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure, Don’t Tell Mom the Babysitter’s Dead, and a string of big budget Disney movies in the years that followed but had never directed prior to Critters, having previously worked as an editor.
“Stephen, to his credit, even though he had no leverage other than a script we wanted to make, absolutely insisted that nobody would direct it but him and if he didn’t it wouldn’t get made,” Harvey says. “He stuck to his guns and there was never any shift in that position on Brian’s side. I had to convince Bob on several occasions to go ahead with us and, even during production, to actually stick with Steve. But we were all very glad that he did.”
On the writing side, Harvey enlisted Sho Films’ in-house writer Don Opper. A fellow Roger Corman acolyte, Opper had written and starred in Android where he also worked with Herek and Muir.
He was seen as the ideal candidate to work alongside Herek after Muir became unwell.
“Brian, unfortunately, became quite ill not long after we started making Critters,” Harvey says.
Muir was reportedly battling Hodgkin’s disease at the time. Though he recovered, the writer, who often wrote under the pseudonym August White for Full Moon Entertainment later in his career, sadly died from cancer aged 48 in 2010.
“He was a very sweet, nice man,” Harvey recalls. “In Brian’s absence, Don worked with Stephen on polishing the script. One of the ways was to enhance the family and their relationships.”
By then the distinctive looking Opper had also been cast in the pivotal role of Charlie McFadden, the town drunk and a conspiracy theorist convinced the fillings in his teeth are picking up signals from outer space.
Like a cross between Randy Quaid’s deranged pilot from Independence Day and Billy Bob Thornton in Sling Blade, Charlie would eventually emerge as a fan favorite, appearing in each of the three Critters sequels.
He was one of several quirky locals introduced early on in Critters with much of the first third of the film dedicated to establishing the Brown family, their farm, and the characters of the fictional Kansas town of Grover’s Bend where the Critters land.
In one picture postcard scene of the perfect nuclear family, the Browns gather round the breakfast table in a primary colored kitchen, blissfully unaware of the approaching danger and disruption to follow.
That slow build-up may be less commonplace today, but it’s something Harvey believes was crucial to the success of the film.
“That was one of the things that appealed to me about the script,” he says. “If you set that up properly and the audience is in there with you. They gain an understanding of the family dynamic right away and they are engaged. It helps you then feel for each one of them subsequently…The rules are the same, and they have been since the first Greek dramas; storytelling is still about humans and the human condition. Just making stuff about what the monsters are doing has no appeal.”
Critters came during a time when horror comedies were commonplace in multiplexes.
“Studios started to notice in test screenings that the audience response was often bigger when you capped a scare or moment of high tension with a bit of wit or humor,” Harvey explains.
Post-screening surveys bore this out; using humor to emphasize or punctuate a terrifying moment drew a bigger response from the audience. Regardless of the visceral impact of the scare itself. It made it more memorable to viewers.
The Cast of Critters
It helped that Critters boasted an impressive cast to bring the script to life.
Blade Runner’s M. Emmet Walsh appeared as the grouchy local sheriff while Dee Wallace, who had starred in E.T. only a few years earlier, was also convinced to sign on as the Brown family matriarch Helen. Billy “Green” Bush was cast as the hardworking man of the house Jay Brown with Nadine van der Velde as his high school teen daughter April.
Despite some impressive names, Harvey ranks the casting of future Party of Five and ER star Scott Grimes in the role of mischievous central teenage protagonist Brad Brown as the most significant. It’s Scott who first discovers the Critters and Scott that begins to fight back against them using his slingshot and potent firecrackers coming off like a hellish Kevin McCallister from Home Alone.
“Scott was tailor-made for the role,” Harvey says. “He was at the center of the craziness and he had the audience’s sympathy and support because no one was paying attention to him.”
For all the acting talent on display, however, much of the movie’s success rested on the tiny shoulders of a few hedgehog-like puppets.
“The biggest challenge was making the Critters appear to be a viable threat as the antagonists,” Harvey says. “We were really fortunate that we found the Chiodo Brothers.”
A trio of siblings who specialized in stop motion and animatronic work, the Chiodos were relative newcomers to the movie business and would go on to projects like Elf and Team America: World Police.
“We knew from the script we were dealing with a fur ball that got around fast by rolling around and was all teeth and voracious,” Harvey says. “That was the extent of the design parameters. They came up with the drawings and the details as to how they would work.”
Harvey cites the Critters’ distinctive, almost limbless design as both a blessing and a curse.
“From a construction and manipulation point of view, they were relatively straightforward,” he says. “But from an action perspective, there was not a lot you could do with them.”
While other projects, like New Line’s later Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movies, would struggle with glitchy animatronics, there were no such problems with the Chiodos’ creations with each running impressively well thanks to a crack team behind the scenes.
“Even though the Critters were fairly simple creatures, there were times for some of those shots, when we had 10 guys running different cables and things to them to get them right,” Harvey recalls. “They had eye movement, mouth movement, lip movement even their little arms and legs move because these things needed to look as believable as possible. But it was still tough to make these things that rolled around something scary and frightening rather than cute and laughable.”
That was where Billy Zane came in. A good horror villain needs a good victim. Cast in the role of April’s unsuspecting boyfriend Steve Eliot, the then unknown Zane ended up falling afoul of the Critters in arguably the film’s standout gory death after encountering the furry fiends while enjoying a makeout session in the family’s barn.
“It was the first thing he’d ever done. I think he’d arrived in L.A. a week before,” Harvey says, recalling how uncomfortably hot that barn scene was for everyone involved. “It was 100 degrees in the barn. He had little furry creatures stuck to his stomach and was covered in fake blood. It was so hot and sticky. We stayed there for the whole day, getting all the inserts and various other bits and pieces to make the scene…But that setup in the claustrophobic space of the barn helped to make the scene much scarier because we could set it up in a kind of way that made the punchline, the payoff, much more visceral.
The Bounty Hunters
For all the machinations of the Critters themselves, it’s their pursuers from outer space, the two faceless bounty hunters, who almost steal the show.
Especially after one decides to take the form of fictional hair metal superstar Johnny Steele, the singer of “Power of the Night” a song so pitch-perfectly cheesy, you had to wonder if Steele is a real artist rather than musical theater actor Terrence Mann.
“I went to see Terrence who was appearing in Cats on Broadway. He’d been suggested by a friend and was seriously interested in doing the film,” Harvey says. “We had a friend in New York who was in the music business and had a recording studio. He put together some tracks and we created this imaginary band that he stole the identity of the lead singer from.”
Despite some striking similarities to artists of the time, Harvey insists Johnny Steele wasn’t set up as a deliberate lampooning of any one artist.
“The band was generically inspired by particular bands of the time,” he says. “There wasn’t any one group or individual. We were post punk and before real heavy metal. There was more of a glam goth influence.”
Teaming up with Charlie and Brad, the bounty hunters eventually destroy the Critters though it comes at a cost to the Browns, with the family home blown-up in the process. It was a powerful symbol of the way these invaders had shattered their lives but not their spirit. Unfortunately, New Line Cinema didn’t like it as an ending.
“Bob wanted it changed so that the house was rebuilt in the end but I was against it so we had a few arguments about that, but it was Bob’s money, and we did it and it came out very successfully.”
Shaye and New Line would occasionally prove tricky customers, with Harvey often forced to traverse the familiar pitfalls of independent filmmaking.
“We were in production and things were really tough and there was one point in time when Bob and I sat down in the trailer and he explained to me some things that I won’t go into,” Harvey says.  “Things were very tricky for a week or two financially, but they sorted themselves out. That was a typical attribute of an independent movie. ‘Oh God you’re spending $150,000 dollars a day, can you spend $100,000?’. Not unheard of but no fun at the time.”
For all the trials and tribulations of the film, cast, and Critters themselves, however, he has fond memories of working on the film.
“We weren’t stuck in Los Angeles in some smoke-filled space,” he said. “The set was built on Newhall Ranch, this huge bucolic area of land outside of L.A and there we were for five weeks shooting in relatively hot temperatures.”
Critters Sequels and What’s Next
After a quick turnaround in editing, Critters was released in cinemas, proving to be a hit with over $13 million made at the box office off a budget of $3 million. This kind of success made sequels inevitable.
Though Harvey was unavailable for the second film, he returned for the third and fourth movies, which were filmed back-to-back and released direct to video.
“By then video cassettes were a huge component to New Line’s early success and helped finance the Nightmare on Elm Street and Critters sequels and all of the other movies that they then started making in order to become the powerhouse they became,” Harvey says. “I think it funded something like 40 to 40 to 50 percent of New Line production for that period of time.”
Harvey was initially hesitant to get involved, citing Shaye’s wishes to make the sequels for even less money than the first film. However, he ultimately relented after agreeing to film them back-to-back.
Harvey has mixed feelings about the two sequels, particularly the third movie, which he had conceived as being “much darker and much more violent” than what eventually made it to the screen.
“I wanted to do a George Romero homage for the third film,” he says. “I was very much interested in the claustrophobia of the tenement building in New York City, that kind of atmosphere. Boy, did it ever turn out differently.”
Having also agreed to direct the fourth film, which was set in space and wrap up the franchise, he found himself too busy to oversee work on the third movie.
“It was different. I didn’t have as much to do with Critters 3 because I was directing the fourth film. We were shooting back to back. We had a week down in between the two. All the time we were shooting Critters 3 I was prepping Critters 4.”
While the fourth film featured both a young Angela Bassett and Brad Dourif on top scene-chewing form, the third entry has become among the most noted in the years since thanks to the presence of a young Leonardo DiCaprio in the main role.
“It’s the movie that shall remain nameless on Leo DiCaprio’s resume,” Harvey jokes.
He doesn’t have a lot of memories about DiCaprio on set though there was already a sense he was destined for big things.
“One day he told me he needed some time off. He had to go and audition for this movie. After he came back I asked ‘How did it go?’ and he said ‘Robert De Niro is really great’. he’d been off auditioning for This Boy’s Life…And of course, when he did that movie, it was like, ‘Holy shit. Well, where was that actor when we were making Critters 3?’”
While Leo is unlikely to return to the Critters franchise anytime soon, Harvey, who had no involvement in a recent TV revival, believes that there is life in the old furballs yet.
cnx.cmd.push(function() { cnx({ playerId: "106e33c0-3911-473c-b599-b1426db57530", }).render("0270c398a82f44f49c23c16122516796"); });
“It’s not a franchise that’s going to go away,” he says cryptically. “Whatever comes next needs to be something that is responsive to contemporary sources. I can’t really say too much about it, because nothing is final. All I can tell you is that I don’t think this is the end.”
