a Guide, a Champion, a Protector, a Friend
Wrongfully accused of a haunting crime and forced to flee the only home he had ever known, Lyre finds himself at the very heart of the “monsters” who haunted his cubhood horror stories… just for the occupants of the Vibrant Vale to prove themselves far kinder than anyone he had encountered before – and far more desperate as well, with their world revealing itself to be equipped with far more danger, intrigue, magic, and death than Lyre had ever known… All of which then entrusted to him to mend in the wake of great turmoil, based on words of the deified dead long past. Begged to leave once more, this time to chase more nursery tales while equipped with new goals, knowledge, and companions, Lyre steels himself with a promise to both himself and those now depending on him to find a way to fix what he had never broken… But such promises weigh heavy on young shoulders, especially as secrets unveiled grow increasingly grander, until a betrayal-torn and duty-battered Lyre finally must ask himself: Save his friends, or save the world?
Welcome to Ailurocide: a slow-to-update story initially inspired by the Warriors series by Erin Hunter, lending themes from other fantastical animal works such as Watership Down by Richard Adams, Tailchaser’s Song by Tad Williams, the Wings of Fire series by Tui T. Sutherland, and the Guardians of Ga’hoole by Kathryn Lasky, alongside the Fallout games.

It's weird o'clock again and I'm just laying here awake thinking about animals in the world of ATLA and that one farm full of pig hybrids and was thinking about how if any of those produced a regular pig it would probably sell well enough to save that village! But does anyone else wonder if a cow pig and a sheep pig could create offspring? Like would we need to pull out the punnet square to figure out the chances of a cow sheep coming from that? Would the resulting cow sheep be able to breed with a different pig hybrid because both parents were part pig? What about Bosco the "regular" bear? Would he need to mate with a skunk bear or something to make offspring? Would said offspring have a higher chance of being non hybrids or would they be exclusively the mother's hybrid type? Could Turtle Ducks and chicken ducks make super tasty offspring?

Centipede wolf
I have done it @sigery. I made the demons that hurt Blue Moon. Each of them are about 14 ft to 16 ft long. Their bellies are furry. A wagging tail you should never trust. Their legs can clutch onto anything. They will bite and pinch at anything in their way. Holding a venomous bite. Being able to hunt in large scuttling packs. Their eyes are pupilous and only stare back with red. May they haunt your nightmares.
Goodness I love doing creature creation. And this was just for laughs and giggles.

ChickenRay (Chicken string ray hybrid)
This chicken of the sea (ba dum tiss) is a bit of a dummy. They've got a chicken brain, after all. I think the only thing that keeps them alive is that stinging tail. They love to pick snails and other little sea critters off the ocean floor. I'm really looking forward to adding a background to this one, seascapes are so fun.
