Kurapika and aunt Mito have 1 thing in common, and it's that they both took on huge-ass responsibilities heartbreakingly young (I did not realize how young Mito is?? She's 25 by current manga chapters, apparently?? I thought she was at least 30!) Those girlies should be at the club. 😔

Also, what was Kurapika up to from 12-17yrs?? Did he find someone to live with, or was he navigating society totally alone? What kind of jobs did he do to make a living? While the two flashback chapters before the massacre were great, I think a flashback chapter to his early teen years would be really fascinating!!

If surge learned how to use her electricity powers like killua she'd be a real problem.

It has been a hot second since I saw hxh but YEAH, Killua was a monster once he fully unlocked his electric powers. If I recall correctly, he was a) able to use them to speed himself and his reflexes up to supernatural levels and b) was able to just automatically dodge stuff. So yeah if Surge was ever able to do that I think she would be able to take Sonic in a fight, especially considering that she technically won in IDW #56. Even if she just mastered her own electrical abilities (increasing how much electricity she could use, preserving it in battle, maximizing the damage when she does use it, etc.), that combined with her durability and presumed ability to heal from even severe injury/death would make her a legitimate threat to Sonic even without the dynamo cage.

One of the funnier things to me about HxH is that it's both shown, and directly stated that Kurapika and his mother are cut from the same cloth, which implies she was a bit of a village shit-disturber herself (maybe not to the point of her son, however). I can just imagine the villagers thinking, "Oh, thank god, she's pregnant! That'll tame her down!" and then her kid turns out just like her, and she even actively enables him! "Oh fuck, now there's Two of Them™" It makes me wonder how well she fit in with everyone else, considering it's shown that the other villagers are much more complacent and happy with their lot in life, whereas she's very suspicious and frustrated by the imposed restrictions. (Also, if you look close, her clothing has a more feminine & less modest flair to it compared to the scant couple of women villagers we see. Granted, it could very well be an accident, but I thought it was interesting to note.)
