Thinking many many thoughts about how Jean was Riko's partner for a YEAR and was still rooming with Goon #3. Because that was how unwilling Riko was to let go of Kevin. And how that implies that Jean was placed as his partner both because of the practicality of Kevin being gone AND as a punishment for letting him go in the first place. Being partners with Jean could actually slow Riko down depending on how often he's hurt (because I don't think Riko was all that exempt from the rules to the point where his partner's performance would completely not matter) and he was still placed there. Riko was just THAT angry at him over Kevin's escape. And all the while he was keeping Kevin's side of room like an altar, even back when he didn't even think Kevin could PLAY, because of an injury he caused.

Realizing you can never please anybody can be a devastating loss... until you internalize exactly what that means.
When you sacrifice so much of yourself for others, you forget that you leave yourself behind. Not being able to please everybody means you can start learning how to fully embody who you are instead of juggling everybody else's baggage, trying to make something work out.
You might feel devastated about this, thinking you're terrible for not pleasing everybody. The truth is, it was impossible from the start, and learning who you are is infinitely rewarding

You know, I think the most heartbreaking thing that I've experienced in I was a Teenage Exocolonist so far is that despite being able to remember your past lives and saves, despite being able to save so many people that died in previous lives, despite being able to go out of your way to save people and kill a faceless.
There's no way to save Kom. Kom's jersey will always be retired in the rafters before he was ready to hang it there himself. Anemone will always lose her brother and become susceptible to the human supremacists' idealology. Anemone and her family will always be hurt. All this cosmic power and intervention, and still some deaths and tragedies are inevitable. No matter how hard you try and how badly you just want everyone to be okay.

WAIT OMG GUYS ABOUT RHE SUPPOSEDLY OVERBLOT GRIM
we all notice how riddle and vil seem to have minimal like influence over his design as opposed to the rest..so imagine if their influence is like in his powers? imagine how cool it would be if one his powers is releasing a poison that affects your magic (like riddle's magic) like that would honestly be so FUCKING cool😭
but also i just thought f this cuz i was imagining if yuu did overblot what their voice lines would be and k think them saying "who's magicless now" would be so cool

Okay but like. Two things about the volume 8 statue [redacted] chapter.
Firstly. By god no amount of "yeah it was unhinged" comments on this website prepared me for whatever the fuck that was. I need at least 5 business days to process.
Second, was I the only one who read that scene as:
Hua Cheng, teeming with self-satisfaction to see Mu Qing near writhing with scorned disgust and fury: this was a 100% successful trip
Xie Lian: our statues are fucking in Mu Qing's palace oh god oh fuck what do you m e a n successful
Hua Cheng, smirk getting even bigger: this was a 100% successful trip

Honestly it doesn't really make sense to me that Jack and Felix are canonically not close as friends, moreso having a business-type friendship. Seeing how Jack's kids call Felix uncle, along with how involved Felix is with the Waltens overall, it'd only make sense that they're connected right? Putting aside all the horrible things that eventually happen, they've had history together for a long time; knowing each other since college... I think them being entwined together as best friends could serve as another tragic aspect to the narrative they've been placed in. I know canon is canon, but I wanted to share my opinion on the whole thing!
