Secretly, Eddie’s favorite pastime is dancing. That’s not a secret, what is, is the time and sounds needed.

The trailer park is full of sound, not all of it mixes well, there’s different types of music and some yelling. There’s animals making noise, the wind is blowing causing the leaves to move. But it’s one of best times.

It’s raining and the sun setting causing nice lightning.

He grins, hops up and holds out his hand with a wiggle.

Steve looks up at him with amusement, not taking the hand yet. “What’s got you excited?”

“It’s raining Stevie! We gotta dance!” Eddie quickly twirls and sticks his hand back in Steve’s face with a wiggle, “come on, honey love!”

Shaking his head, he takes the hand and goes with him. Shaking his head with a smile spreading on his face, he squeezes Eddie’s hand. Getting a squeeze back before they stop. He can faintly here Kate Bush coming from Max’s trailer and the sounds of dogs barking, “we’re going to dance to this?”

Eddie nods, letting go of his hand only to shift them into an simple sway. Steve goes with him easily, resting his head on Eddie’s shoulder.

“I love this” Eddie whispers, “it’s my favorite”

“Yeah?”

Eddie let’s out a hum, pulling away only to move into a holding both of Steve’s hands. Still swaying, grinning. “Dancing in the rain was a dream, Stevie! When I was growing up, I’d be playing inside and I’d hear the rain start and jump up just to get my mama. We’d go outside and dance around.” He explains as he spins them around, going with Steve as he twirls him. “Haven’t been able to do this in a while”

Steve smiles softly at him and pulls him close, “Sounds like a good time”

They continue the sway for a little longer enjoying the sounds of the trailer park, the sky getting darker. Rain coming down a little harder.

Eddie laughs and let’s go of Steve’s heads to spin around, head leaning back and his eyes closed. Steve stops to watch him, admiring the look of pure happiness on Eddie’s face.

It’s things like this that makes him fall harder for the other.

“Dance, lover boy!” Eddie giggles away as Steve rolls his eyes with a smile, goes to grab hold on his hand again. Eddie smiles back, before darting his hand out catching Steve’s hand and pulling him close. “This is perfect, the rain. The sounds, you- us.”

His cheeks burn and he ducks his head against Eddie’s shoulder to hide. “Nah, you’re perfect”

Eddie hums, shaking his head and shifting his arm to hug Steve close, moving his head to press a kiss to Steve’s head.

“Then we’re both perfect,” Eddie whispers, swaying them slowly, “I love you, sweetheart”

“I love you, Eds”
