Read on { AO3 } - Part 1 of 2
Head Boy Draco x Head Girl Hermione
Summary: Hermione had dreamt of him again.
Cloaked in black, she ran through the dark halls, seeking the solitude and warm water of the Prefects’ Bath, but when she entered, she suspected she was not there alone.
The hard, male body that came up behind her confirmed it.
Draco had clearly been expecting someone else to join him tonight. But when he kissed her, she couldn’t bring herself to tell him to stop.
Excerpt:
Hermione issued a soft sigh of relief as she finally reached the refuge of the Prefects’ bath. Standing outside the door, she checked her surroundings one last time, muttered the new password under her breath and dipped past the door. But just as the latch slid back silently back into its place, Hermione realized she was hearing a lot of noise for a bathroom that was meant to be empty at this time of night.
With her back still turned towards the room, her hand froze on the door’s handle as a voice bellowed over the sound of running water -
“I didn’t expect you to join me tonight.”
She would know that voice anywhere. Deep and drawling, Hermione had spent many hours this year with the owner of this voice.
Against her will, she’d also heard it in many of her dreams, too.
The changed man, the shining student who was all but celebrated for his dedication to the cause of restoring Hogwarts to its pre-War state.
This year’s Head Boy of Hogwarts.
She could hear his bare feet shuffling along the floor as he stalked towards her.
Shock flooded through her senses, completely dulling her ability to react in any sensible way. She knew what to do, how to flee, but some disconnect between her brain and her limbs caused her feet to stay planted to the uneven ground. In her defense, her hand currently rested on the handle of her wand, as if to protect herself. But the truth was, she felt no threat to her life in here.
Her inhibitions, however, were about to be tested.
Before she could process another thought on her situation, Draco Malfoy had already closed the distance between them, in a way that told her her cloak was doing its job at hiding who she was. She felt his body first - using one hand to prop himself against the door, he came up behind her, leaving not even an inch of space between her back and the hardness of his chest. His free hand snaked greedily around her waist, a gesture that confirmed Draco might’ve expected someone to join him in the baths tonight, but it wasn’t supposed to be Hermione Granger.
She gasped audibly at the strength of his fingers as they pressed into her hips, like they were handles to aid him in getting what his usual guest would’ve given to him, had it been her instead of Hermione who’d shown up tonight.
Draco let his hands roam freely and Hermione didn’t stop him. Why couldn’t she remember the words to say that would make him stop?

Be careful young witches and wizards of Hogwarts. For breaking the curvew will always result in detention. The Head Boy and Girl are the most feared and none has ever managed to escape.
They always know where you are.

five scenes from the harry potter books that altered my brain chemistry (re this ask)
Tumblr media
SCREAM.... HERMIONE GRANGER YOU WILL LITERALLY ALWAYS BE FAMOUS!!!!
[power gap] [power gap] [power gap]
Hermione punching Draco in Book 3. Not the moment in particular, which is beautiful and well-earned, but specifically the fact that he doesn't say shit to her for the rest of the series. Hilarious. Incredible. He goes from mocking her every chance he gets to just like, occasionally snickering when something happens to her, or going after Harry or Ron (while ignoring Hermione altogether). And what's more, he doesn't retaliate. Draco "my father will hear about this" Malfoy doesn't tell anyone that he got smacked (and we know he's not too proud for it; he whines forever about Buckbeak). But nope, not Hermione. He's literally just like "holy fuck, never mind, point taken." You ever punch someone so hard they spontaneously manifest the ability to mind their own goddamn business?
Draco's bathroom scene in Book 6 — it's a humanizing moment for someone on the other side of the conflict, and it hammers home how young he is, how young they both are, despite the fact that they're becoming principal players in the war. It also shows how he's trapped by his family, which is a choice that he's made, but also something that he can't easily throw off —this is the scene that spawned a million "the boy who had no choice" edits, which I disagree with from a factual point of view, but I appreciate the elegance of it as a thematic counterpoint to Harry (who is, you know, if anybody, actually the boy who had no choice).
Hermione's Yule Ball Cinderella moment, which is so beautifully done and treats my girl so well, but also specifically the fact that Draco Malfoy canonically thinks she's beautiful. It's a great moment for the whole fandom, really, because if you like Draco then it's cute, and if you hate him then it's funny/ironic/well-deserved bit of comeuppance. Everybody wins!
When Sirius is talking to Harry in Book 5, and he's disappointed that Harry won't let him sneak out to Hogsmeade, he gets really catty and cruel: "You're less like your father than I thought. The risk's what would have made it fun, for James." Like, wow! What a fucking horrible thing to say to an orphan who's trying to save your life, jackass! But also: how fascinating, and what a great insight into Sirius's character, and also what a great read on how Harry and James are different people — added to the layer of complexity that we don't know if that's even true, because Sirius is in a snit right now, and lashing out, so we don't actually know if James would endorse this — if it risked his best friend's life, or his son's, he probably wouldn't! Or — or or or — the more likely possibility that fifteen year-old James would've jumped for this, but twenty-year-old James wouldn't have, suggesting that Sirius is conflating Harry with the younger James in order to try to relive his glory days as a Marauder, likely as a trauma response — I could talk about that moment forever, but TLDR, it's the key to Sirius's whole character, in my opinion.
bonus: "there is no need to call me sir, professor" (certified classic, a legend for a reason, no notes).
five scenes from the movies that altered your brain chemistry:
"She only likes you because you're the chosen one!" "I am the chosen one 😏" [WHACK]. they're siblings your honor
The moment they're all gathered to console Ron after he asks out Fleur to the Yule Ball, and Hermione's like oh she said no, and Ron shakes his head, and she goes: "...She said YES???" 🤭 and it's just such a babygirl moment. Emma Watson gives Hermione a very expressive face — it is, admittedly, what Jenny Nicholson might call an "eyebrow heavy" performance — but it's just delightful in scenes like this, where it's clear she absolutely cannot hide her feelings to save her life.
Not really a scene, but all of Draco's fun little outfits. Motherfucker will NOT wear his school uniform and I love it. We have the Iconique black suit from book 6, the turtlenecks, the cable jumpers, the disheveled-shirtsleeves look from the bathroom scene (whore), and especially the big dumb fur hat he wears outside (hideous. fashion icon).
McGonagall telling Neville to get Seamus to blow up the bridge to Hogwarts ("boom?" "boom!" what the fuck. she's so cute); followed by Seamus's immediate, absolutely doubtless "I can bring it down!!" like the total confidence he has... it's just a really adorable moment between a teacher and her students who clearly all love each other a lot. it's about community! they're books about community I could go on for HOURS—
Much darker moment, but Amos Diggory's reaction to Cedric's death. The actor sells that shit so well it scarred me as a kid— that ragged, unhinged, scream of grief he does when he sees Cedric's body, the way he cradles it to his chest, those heartbreaking two little words: "My boy..." Oh, my God. It goes so far beyond the emotional level that the books operate on, because it's live action, and the actor understands that this realism is crucial to you believing what's about to happen. You are watching a parent mourn the death of his only child, and it's CRUCIAL, because it's the turning point of the whole series. The death of an innocent child is the point at which Harry Potter becomes a series about war, and Amos Diggory is the first one to know it.

“Hogsmeade Date”
Being a known war heroine’s finally taking a toll on Hermione. Pair it with the monikers “Golden Girl” or “Brightest Witch of her Age,” she’s become Desirable no. 1. Her very public - but amicable - breakup with Ron didn’t help at all. To everyone, she was available.
“Herm-Miss Granger, would you do me the honor of going on a Hogsmeade date with me?” A third year Hufflepuff cornered her as she made her way out of the library. She only hopes that she let him down gently.
She recently had a slew of Ravenclaws approach her to tutor them. After one tutoring session, she realized that they already knew the material. Instead, they used that time to pry into her private life.
She’s taken to having meals in the kitchens after a parliament of owls showered her with letters and packages. Most of which were from strangers offering her hand in marriage or wanting to whisk her away to some grand estate.
She can’t even study in her common room because all the 1st yrs stare at her in awe or everyone else wants to reminisce with her about the “good old days.”
One day, she finds herself ranting to her fellow Head Boy. “I can’t even step foot in the library because someone’s always waiting for me! The library!“ She huffed as she paces around the Head Boy/Girl office.
Without saying anything, he gets up and takes her by her wrist. With purpose, he walked them to the Great Hall before placing a chaste kiss on her lips.
Silence permeated the Great Hall. All eyes were on them.
The tension was broken when Theo shouts, “Fucking finally!” At the same time, Ginny shouts, “It’s about time you two stopped hiding!”
“And that Granger is how we solve your problem.” The white-blonde boy smirks at her, intertwining their hands.

Dear Hermione
Tumblr media
Read here on AO3
Summary: Hermione Granger was the one Draco felt he’d wronged the most, and his mind-healer reminded him weekly that a reconciliation with her may be the key to moving forward. Weeks passed, and although Draco kept returning to the scribbled on and scratched out lines of failed apologies, he couldn’t put to words the things he needed to say. So, he didn’t. But maybe he would try again tomorrow...
Hermione and Draco return to Hogwarts after the war and become friends, but the lack of apology weighs on both of them, and Draco finds himself falling in love even as he struggles with reconciliation.

Read this fic a while ago and cannot for the life of me remember what it was.
8th year and I think theo and hermione were head boy/girl and had their own rooms. Theo was friends with draco. I think hermione was drinking and her scar never healed and it kept bleeding, and theo found her in the middle of the night bleeding so he asked draco to heal her but she wouldn't let draco heal her so theo did, but he didn't know about malfoy Manor.
Various Storms and Saints - viridianatnight - E, 48 chapters, Words: 199,835 - After the war, Hogwarts has been rebuilt and classes are back in session, much to the dismay of Hermione Granger. Forced to be Head Girl, Savior Muggle-born, and Golden Girl to the wizarding world, she is struggling to keep herself together. A tangled mess of grief, memory, and insufferable pain, Hermione yearns to find someone just as broken as she is. Maybe that someone is the only person she hates. Maybe they have blonde hair and devastating silver eyes and maybe, just maybe, she finds them just as fucked up as she is. Maybe she hates herself for it, for not wanting to stop, because she knows that it isn’t the worst of it.

Remione Halloween AU
Tumblr media
He resisted with all the stubbornness of his nature. Almost an hour and a half was spent on painful persuasion: dozens of arguments could not convince Lupin that his appearance at the Halloween party would not be a crime. Everyone's waiting for him. Harry, Ron, Ginny and the first years students. The last ones look at him with adoration - they've already heard about the great secret of the kindest DADA professor. None of them thought it's awful. Quite the opposite! Just think, such a polite and delicate person, brave war hero, by the way, fights a terrible wolf inside him all his life! Not only resists, but conquers. Its cool!
"No one is forcing you to change into a werewolf costume, Remus," Hermione sighed heavily. "Just come. Drink butter beer. Eat a caramel apple or witch's fingers. Tell a scary story…"
"About real life?"
For his "witty" hairpin, Lupin was immediately awarded a reproachful look. He didn't know why he was so opposed to this generous offer. Sense of eternal restlessness? At Hogwarts he hadn't felt superfluous in a long time. He likes everything here: his job, excellent colleagues and headmistress McGonagall, who was always supportive of him, constant communication and exchange of knowledge with inquisitive students, evenings in his favorite library or on the shores of youth by the Black Lake. And besides, no, more important than that – gentle look and quiet smile of the Gryffindor's Head Girl, daily greeting him in the great hall "Good morning, Professor Lupin".
"For Merlin sake!" she crossed her arms in desperate indignation but suddenly changed her mind and leaned forward gently touching his lapels. "It's me asking you, Remus!" Me! Come along with me. For me".
How could he refuse?
The Gryffindor common room filled with loud laughter until almost midnight. Students and former students surrounded their dean, who became the main guest of this party. His presence didn't bother anyone at all. Everyone asked him about ghosts and vampires, mystical houses and legends, real and unreal even in the magical world.
"Is it true that the Shrieking Shack is haunted by the ghosts of a family that was burned there?"
"Dracula could theoretically exist in our latitudes?"
"If I meet a werewolf in the Forbidden Forest is there any chance to run away?"
Lupin answered the questions chuckling at their naivety. Sometimes he embellished stories making it more chilling. Sometimes he assured the frightened boys and girls that they shouldn't be afraid of anything in the castle. Whenever he succeeded in impressing his audience his eyes turned to one particular listener and received in return her silent approval. Hermione sat in the corner of the room, rarely speaking, but knowing perfectly well that everything had turned out the way she wanted. Anyway…
There was another part of this evening that only the two knew about. When the students yawning but happy will go to their bedrooms, Mr. Filch will dim the candles in the corridor and the castle will plunge into magical twilight, at the second turn from the library rustling a chocolate wrapper in his left pocket he will wait her on a date – quite mysterious, almost like the All Saints' Eve.

Excerpt:
“I want to stay.”
And those words had barely left her tongue before Hermione was whisked around, suddenly cradled in Draco’s arms again and any worries about intentions or reputation were discarded, like her cloak now lying on the bathroom floor.
At that moment, they could’ve been any two people in the world - war-torn history and House loyalty temporarily forgotten.
Supposed to be enemies, but their lips melded together all the same.
She could feel the strength of Draco’s arms on her back as he kissed her, this time with a surprising intensity that forced the air from her lungs and it quickly became apparent what he’d meant about ‘not being so nice’ this time. His grip on her hips felt tighter, possessive, his mouth claiming hers with no hesitations. Not an ounce of this kiss was tentative or gentle. It was all encompassing, enveloping her in a heat hotter than the water of the tub she’d sought out tonight.
In a shock to her senses, Draco’s hand began to graze gently down her neck, rivaling the harsh movements of his lips. He ran his fingers over her skin distractingly until they reached her breasts and it took only a few strokes there before he realized that Hermione was missing an important item of clothing.
He broke their kiss, and she looked up to see Draco’s eyes darkening, peering down to her chest where the cotton of her white nightgown couldn’t hide the arousal his kiss had caused. Without needing to look for herself, she knew her nipples would be peaked against the fabric; an undeniable admission to how much she wanted him.
Maybe this would be enough proof for him as to why she hadn’t bolted from the room or refused his touch.
Maybe he didn’t care anymore about the reason she’d stayed and felt only the primal need to keep his deliciously sinful promises.
She was unsure what thoughts were running through his mind, but when his gaze came back up to hers, she knew one thing for certain - she wouldn’t be leaving this room until she’d slept with Draco Malfoy.
