you ever think about how happy and good of friends they would have been had they met under better circumstances and lived long enough to spend any significant time with each other ☹️☹️☹️

So, I guess afo is dead, and all I can say is, well I feel better about Stain's death now. Not because the guy who killed him died, but because unless something more happens later afo was really unnecessary for this arc--just like stain was.
I understand hori wanting to give the big bad a backstory and all might and bakugou a good fight, but besides that afo was just time sink. I think there were ways to get similar results without afo being around that would have worked better.
It's just weird that so close to the end of the story it re-hyped afo as the big bad that needed stopped, then to have him accomplish nothing. Then turn around and be like 'well, back to shigaraki now'.
It really feels like we should have gotten the afo defeat/death sooner and then focus could be put back on shigaraki and the liv.
This final arc has felt really disjointed so far, and I have a sinking suspicion that by the end it'll feel like half of what happened and what characters were used was uneeded.

also in addition, i dislike the painting being a trigger for mike's 'realization' and byler getting together after mike realizes that the painting was from will.
it sounds like mike will only get together with will because of will's own feelings for him. and because only that he will realize will loves and needs him, not because he himself realizes he loves and needs will or because he loves will for who he is. it sounds like 'oh the person behind the painting was will? then if he needs and loves me and if it wasn't el, then i should get together with will.' is a shallow take and it is doing both mike and will's characters injustice. it sounds like mike would not have chosen will if it wasn't for the painting. or he'd just choose ''the person'' behind the painting regardless of if that person was will or not.
it also makes mike quite shallow, making him go from el's bf to will's bf because will loves and needs him, so mike will choose him because of will's feelings for him now. like... not only it makes byler seem shallow, but it also makes mike just... boring? it strips him off from his choice and development.
you're so me i've said or thought most of this before😁 i'm always team mike knows he loves will already at the end of the day because it means a lot more conflict for mike which i think makes it all so much better and more interesting

I was so scared that Phu was going to ask Nan to stay for him, but he finally put Nan first. Though I was about to throw hands because he didn't communicate clearly and explain himself AGAIN.
But I was wrong and very happy to be wrong about Phu for once.
He finally learned to let Nan know what he is thinking so that they can stop creating unnecessary angst. 🥳
This series started off decent but ended kind of meh. Nan and Phu got their HEA, but we never really got a fleshed out answer as to why Phu felt the need to ghost Nan for 10 years just because he was scared of confessing/losing him. We never got to see Nan angry about it and demand more from Phu. 😑 So them getting together but not really resolving what had driven them apart felt unsatisfying. Of course I had wanted them to get together in the beginning, but I just didn't feel like I got the payoff I wanted.
Oliang says goodnight. He was the best thing in this series.

hey remember the scene in barry where fuches fully is shot and dies in the cold open and then later in the episode wakes up on a cowboy ranch being taken care of by a kindly mexican family who offer to let him stay there forever and wed their daughter and escape the narrative etc and for like 5 seconds he appears to gain a new lease on life only for him to just immediately steal their car and leave because he hates barry so fucking much anyway do you think it’s a winky parodic reference to this bcs plot point or nah
