I haven't listened to the podcast episode but fundamentally what those people don't understand about the power of a long walk to pittsburgh part two is that it's entirely led by TOPANGA it's HER choices it's HER desires it's HER actions however insane they are that drive the entire narrative and of course because it's cory's show it turns back to him defending their relationship but what really seriously matters that a girl who pushes a boy up against a locker when she's eleven and proceeds to be pursued for years decides that she cares so much about this relationship that it is so spectacularly important to her she does something astronomically stupid!!! It lets us see through one action the world of topanga we have never been privy too even if it's still not the full thing. the faith someone as smart and rational as topanga has to make her way back philadelphia just to be with cory. not even considering that she'd be sent right back! and how deeply lonely and miserable she was to do something like that I mean it's so clear to ME that she loves her parents but they aren't very good at parenting her she's so utterly alone... so did something crazy and stupid and only in the movies she did a third act grand gesture just like cory did last season because they're soulmates and it slayed.... BTW! and if it's stupid teen melodrama no it's not!!!!!! shut up!

But I actually, and even though I don't necessarily agree with the, the idea that the, the big swing is these two people are gonna, are supposed to be together and come hell or high water, they're gonna make it work together. Why? I may, while I may not agree, and I feel more like an Amy Matthews in my real life, there is a part of me that takes, if I take myself out of it, I really just respect and appreciate the big swing and the bold choice. And I recognize how unique it was for its time to do that. To say, what if we're the show that says two people who love each other, no matter how old they are, should fight come hell or high water to be together. And instead of the idea that you should just go and hook up with many different people until you decide to pick one and then settle down, what if it's okay to only love one person and to be with one person? So on the one hand, I, I personally Danielle feel more like Amy. On the other hand, I actually love the idea of taking the freaking risk and ta and taking that move. -Danielle

Topanga gives her aunt a giant hug and relief then embraces Cory knowing they'll be able to stay together. The audience gives them a huge round of applause. And Amy and Alan gaze at the two with happiness as they hold each other lovingly. And that's it. -Danielle
