Some slight TOTK spoilers below

It was subtle at first. A skipped breakfast here, an hour less of sleep there. Yet when business began to rise, there was more and more to do. He enjoyed helping people, as someone with his title should. The people of Goron City and all its passerbys were important to Yunobo, especially when the town's economic renewal rested ultimately in his hands. A responsibility he was more than willing to take on no matter the cost. Even now, as he ran himself ragged some days, did he not notice that the cost would be him. That he would have to skip meals to take care of a business matter or lose sleepover the long hours of mining he chose to partake in. But you noticed. You didn't know Yunobo to be as soft spoken as he was now. His tone delicate and heavy with sleep. His eyes, even sleepier as you began to notice the deep crags sitting under them. Of course you'd ask him if he was alright, his answer always usually an enthusiastic "Yes! Just fine!" but the exhaustion in his voice and the immediate slump of his back afterwards was more than enough for you to know he wasn't being honest. It wasn't until you quite literally found him asleep at his work desk, stomach angry from hunger that you knew something had to give. You took it upon yourself to make several arrangements for the next few days. Quiet conversations about what's been going on with your Goron beau turned into friendly helping hands. For all that he's done for Goron City, they were all willing to give back. Upon wake up the next day, Yunobo began his routine as he usually would. Boulder Breaker at his back, he made his way to the entrance of HQ to prepare for another lengthy day of a some trade deals and plenty of mining. "Hold it, Sage of Fire" your voice called after him, stopping him in his tracks. He froze at your words, you didn't ever really call him by his goddess written title, so he knew you were serious. Your arms were crossed over your chest, though your smile was far more gentle, "You're not going to work today." Yunobo tilted his head in confusion, "Huh? But I have such a busy ahead." Your hands slowly slid into his; with a worried brow your voice grew quieter, "Don't think I haven't seen the way you haven't been taking care of yourself, Yuno...you barely sleep anymore, barely eat even. And I know what the importance of a rockfilled belly to a Goron is." His large fingers curled around your smaller ones, guilt bled into the roundness of his face. You leaned over, trying to catch his falling gaze, "I've already arranged for Slergo and Offrak to work with the crew and take care of a few things for the next few days...everything else Bludo promised to step in for." The sigh Yunobo lets out is lengthy, but you can see in the way he looks at you that he understands he's not escaping your plans. He nods with a small smile, "Okay, okay. I'll take a few days off." In those few days you make sure he gets three square meals - all taken care of by Cooke, who was eternally grateful for the timely supplies of stone cuts YunoboCo he receives on a weekly basis. The hours he spends chipping away at the mines is spent instead soaking in the hot springs, a much needed luxury to ease the tension and tiredness that plagued him. You would find out from Yunobo that he spending all that time in the mines to give his crew a break. Meanwhile, a little digging let you know that the YunoboCo team was actually also concerned their boss was doing too much work (and that they were more than willing to do their fair share) - they just didn't know how to bring it up with him. On the third day of Yunobo's staycation, you were pulled into a extraordinarily warm embrace, "...Thank you for all this, really. It's been nice to take a breather." Your heart rattles in your chest, and you try to will yourself not to tear up. He really does deserve to rest with how much he’s done not only for you but for everyone in the city. Returning his embrace you lean your head on his chest, " I’m glad...keep in mind I'm not the only person you're important to, Yunobo...there's a whole community that depends on you." He begins to explain that he knows, and that that's exactly why he's been going as hard as he has - but you put your finger to his lips, "But they won’t have you if you don’t take care of you first.” Yunobo sighs once more, but it ends in a knowing smile. You’re right and he admits it. Your hand finds his cheek, “You do so much already - you don’t need to everything all at once.” His palm lays over your hand, you can see endearment swimming in his irises. His opposite hand lifts you easily at your lower back and you’re swept in a quick, tender kiss. When he lets you go, he still holds your frame close, his expression soft as he scans your face, “I think I needed the reminder.”

BUT IM JUST THINKING ABOUT IN THE MOMENT OF IT ALL bc in the same chapter #ww asks for a chance for tomorrow and then gets news of earth ships coming. in this same arc vash is thinking of all the things he needs to #resolve so his home doesn't get attacked so the people he love doesn't have to die and the humans he wants to protect gets to live. #i feel like deep down they both semi-recognize that it can't be this easy and regardless of earth ships coming- there's still a wait for #them to arrive and they have to hold out. and regardless ww still has a mission to follow through and vash knows knives would find out #but in that mood of celebration the entire ship brought in - they can at least let themselves relax for a moment and indulge #how they basically engaged with no violence for the few days they were on that ship coaxing them into domesticity... i feel like their #thoughts would wander to somewhere soft and all #allowing them to push aside the tiptoeing and tenseness and be sweet for a night #ruporas art

Blob Meditation

It was no surprise that Sam had the worst temper among the three of them, Danny thought it was because she worried too much, Tucker thought it was accumulative stress. The thing is, nothing she did helped with calm her down, which was why she suggested her friends to leave her alone for a few minutes, she didn't want to punch them.

They agreed and Sam sat on the castle stairs, she was stressed about her parents, college and Danny's safety. She was thinking about how to get him to move with them to Gotham, where Jazz was working but Danny wasn't comfortable with that. He wanted to help as much as they did, and it was obvious he wouldn't be able to contribute anything if he moved.

The fact that he had to hide from vigilantes who never paid him any attention before also frustrated him.

As she was thinking, some blob ghosts came bounding up to her, she pushed them away and continued on, but they swarmed and enveloped her. In a few seconds all her stress was gone and Sam looked at the blobs in dismay, though they gave her an idea.

Frostbite commented to her that the Blob ghosts were relaxing due to the fact that they purify, negative emotions were part of that. Sam smiled and offered Danny his business idea, the halfa looked at Sam doubtfully but hesitantly accepted.

Soon there was a new business popping up in Gotham. A relaxation and meditation center run by a young man, although it seemed to have a confidentiality agreement if you became a member. Strangely, both Rogues and regular people were attending.

The Batfamily became suspicious and sent Red Hood to investigate. A few days later, Jason was a member and was as calm as they had seen him in years, not even angry with Tim or calling him replacement for a whole week. Bruce began to worry that he had been caught in some kind of mind control.

Sam was happy that the business turned out good, seeing the room full of Blob ghosts was not surprising, they all floated around Danny and his "clients" happily, she guessed they were feeding well, Danny also seemed happy to contribute something to pay his University and their shared department so everyone was winning.

Yuriiii, your brain is so big omgggg

First off, major kudos to Deuce and Ace if they have their lives together enough that Yuu and Jade trust them to babysit, lmao. Those boys are a train wreck, but we love them anyways!

They're happy for Yuu during their first pregnancy, all their friends are, and they're not surprised that they got twins on the first try. As Yuu's closest friends, Ace is a fun uncle and Deuce rather doting, and both become the twins' godparents shortly after their birth. Jade does ask that Ace please stop from making “The Godfather” jokes, they're not funny.

It's three weeks after the twins are born that Ace and Deuce come by to the shared cottage to watch the kiddos, while Jade takes Yuu out to a nice hot spring to relax and recuperate. At least, that was the original plan; but Jade suddenly remembered the little promise they made him before they first got pregnant, and the two have a little more fun at the springs for a few hours before returning home. But the two uncles are never the wiser and head off. So imagine their, and everyone else's surprise, when Yuu and Jade announce two weeks later that they're expecting. Again. Already.

Yuu deals with a few angry phone calls from their pseudo parents, Crewel and the school nurse, yelling at them about using protection. Crewel very specifically compared them both to rabbits, and begged that you don't let Jade touch you again for at least 3 months after this next birth. No one is surprised when you have another set of twins, just mildly concerned. Same as last time, Yuu gives birth to their twins (miraculously) with no major issues. The doctors do have them stay on bedrest for an extra week, just to keep an eye out for any complications. Jade's beaming with happiness, the now 10-month-old twins babbling happily over their new siblings.

Once Yuu and the twins are able to go home, Jade's parents asked for a quick visit with the new babies. Good uncles/godparents they are, Ace and Deuce babysit the older twins again.

As Yuu is leaving the house with Jade, each carrying one of the newborns, Ace is grabbing them by the arm and giving them a stern glare.

“Please, for the love of the Red Queen, do NOT get frisky with him. You do not, I repeat, do NOT need another set of twins for at least another year. I cannot mentally handle babysitting two pairs of babies. The D cannot be that good, man.”

Yuu laughed as Ace whispered that last part to them, waving him off as they promised to not have any more surprises. Jade hears, of course. So is it a surprise when he very much uses his parents as an excuse to take them away and see if they can try for triplets this time.

(For Yuu's sake, and Crewel's mental sanity, let's hope that it doesn't take this time… or do! Maybe Yuu's into that, hehe~)
