I got back into playing totk at the very beginning of January, and gradually, ever so slowly, I was getting Goron brainrot the whole time. The hyperfocus crashed down on me so hard and now I can't be normal about them. I see my friend Yunobo and I go asdcfghh GRAAGRAAARAA. You know? Anyways I've been designing a Goron oc, and the entire time I just can't stop thinking about how large and imposing their bodies are, but they're so soft and gentle. You can lay down on their chiseled round bodies, their hand delicately draped over your back holding you close. Their fingers curl around your small body, their touch so broad and warm like a blanket. 🥺🥺🥺 Guh.. I yearn......

Ugh friend, you are in FANTASTIC company here. There is something just so darling about those big snuggly Gorons - the fact that they hold this INSANE amount of strength but most of them are so sweet and friendly. Especially when it comes to Daruk & Yunobo, oh those two…truly two rock men after my heart. I’m right there with you on the Goron brainrot, you’ve no idea all of the fluffy & smutty things that flows through my head on a daily basis.

ALSO YES CAN WE CLAP IT UP FOR THE MEAN YUNOBO TROPE IN FULL SWING WITH TOTK?! The complete 180 threw me for such a loop…….but then it also gave me ideas - the back you into a wall, tilt your chin up with one finger while he’s eyeing you down, imposing and crowding you against his hardened physique kind of ideas.

Oh but please, tell me more about your Goron OC, I always love hearing about people’s OCs! 🥰

Ahh I can’t apologize enough for disappearing once again - seems like life has been dealing me a bad set of cards lately. While I’m physically fine, my partner lost his job recently which had me put school on pause so we can figure out what to do. Job market isn’t great right now unfortunately, but we are optimistic despite our situation.

So while I’ve had SO MANY ideas and I’ve been getting some excellent ones in my inbox (Thank you Anons 💕), I’m going to do my best! My free time is limited, but I really do miss writing.

Your hands reach into the softened white whiskers, the tips of your fingers resting gently against the rounded jawline of the Goron champion. Upon your touch, he smiles, loop the largeness of his fingers at your lower back - drawing you in as close to him as he can. He lips brush the plusher skin of your cheek (so contrasting to the thickened, rougher skin that covers his body) and his beard tickles your neck. When you giggle at the sensation, he does as well, albeit several registers lower than yours.

The heat of his breath still remains against your cheek; you grasp onto him as much as your smaller frame will allow. You want him there, just present and holding you, for eternity should Hylia allow it. The warmth of the sun paled to his love, there would be no trade comparable for it.

"Love you" his earthy whisper rolls past your ear. Your lips tug upward in a smile you wouldn't dream of holding.

"I love you too, Daruk."

Song of a Champion - Daruk x Reader (Part 3)

This must’ve been your fourth time here this week, though at this point you had lost count.

You eyed the stone memorial, the large bronze Goron emblem glaring back at your tear-stained face. The events replayed in your mind, hellish nightmare that it was.

There was fire everywhere - descending off of Death Mountain and Vah Rudania respectively. You were kept inside your home, a warning for you specifically from the Elder as you were not built to handle the heat and flame as Gorons were. That did not stop your heart from sinking at the awful feeling you had. It would be days before you were allowed to come out, the flames and rubble finally ceasing their assault on Goron City. You took in the destruction it had caused, melted metal and chunks of volcanic rock jutting out of people’s homes. The sudden smash of what sounded like a small explosion sounded behind you. Heart sinking into your stomach you watched in horror as Vah Rudania scoured the side of Death Mountain, it’s original blue hue (as far as you remembered seeing the Sheikah schematics when Daruk last showed you) now having an eerie red glow to it.

You knew in your heart something was wrong.

Shouts and gasps rang in the city, the citizen’s attentions turning toward a group of Gorons returning from the mountainside. Their faces shown of pain, and together they hauled something heavy with them.

No…

You shoved through the crowd of Gorons, stopping as soon as you reached the front. Though you tried to move forward, the Elder’s hand caught your shoulder. Momentarily you looked up at him, his expression solemn and straight. When you whipped your head to peer back at the Goron group, that was when you caught a glimpse of it. The scream you let out shook the entirety of the city, many Gorons having to look away from your anguished cry. You threw your head into your hands, sobbing uncontrollably - the only comfort being the Elder’s hand gently rubbing your back in understanding.

In their arms was the Boulder Breaker, heavily damaged and slightly melted, blood coating the steel ridges of it.

You would learn that it was found flung far from Vah Rudania, down the mountainside, and when they looked up - a vile beast of red energy roared in what sounded like a battlecry. All in Goron City hoped and prayed that their champion would descend from the top of Death Mountain victorious…but that day never came.

You remembered the funeral. A warrior’s goodbye - held within the safety of Goron City and with no physical body to bury; each Goron fearing for their life to get anywhere near the volatile machine to even try and retrieve him. Thinking of your beloved stuck on that deathtrap, lifeless and cold, made you sick to your stomach and only served to break your heart further.

Words of kindness, of strength, of bravery and heart all were spoken on Daruk’s behalf, leaving not a single dry eye at the gathering. Many who knew you and Daruk well enough lent you their condolences - a testament to how much you meant to one another. Your tears would not cease their falling; you felt hollow, a large piece of you indefinitely missing. Even now, as you blankly stared at the metallic grave in his honor.

The Mighty Daruk has fallen. And in your immense heartbreak, so would the hopes of a future you had desperately wanted.

Two ethereal sides of the same coin.

And I'm sure they felt that magnetism towards one another. But where Zelda is more diplomatic and calculating, Midna is a little more brash and free-thinking. I imagine Zelda watched on as the impish form of her beloved faded into her full-figured state - fiery locks and crimson eyes a blaze of beauty against the deeper hues of her skin and garb. There was her princess.

I imagine Midna, now renewed in her true form, feels the warmth of Zelda's light and smiles. Her time on the side of light, no matter how brief, always leaves her feeling whole; she basks in the gentle glow of the goddess' chosen, a comfort the realm of Twilight could never give her.

She loved Zelda's honesty. Her ability to never lose hope. The fact that for all of Zelda's poise and perfectionist demeanor, when it came to Midna, there was softness. Zelda adored Midna's mysterious aura. How Twilight gleamed and shimmered even in the shadows. How her laughter held life and love in every note that passed her lips. They complimented each other. They loved each other. The light and shadow exist to keep each other whole.
