"In the wise words of Taylor Swift- welcome to New York." Jay grinned, dropping two suitcases on the apartment floor.
"Thank Cassandra's parents for us, will you?" Hailey hung the key on the peg by the door. "This view is amazing."
"No problem. It's been in their family for years. I tried to convince them to sell it for more- a three-bedroom condo with views of the Brooklyn Bridge has gotta be upwards of ten million these days."
"I mean, with the money I inherited when I got that stupid fucking death certificate rescinded, I probably could have paid them at least double that." Siv opened the floor-to-ceiling blinds, light flooding the front room. "Did you know my dad had over a billion dollars in offshore accounts? I have no idea if he got it legally or not, but honestly, I don't give a shit."
"Honestly? Me neither." Hailey dropped her bags on the sofa. "This place was such a steal."
"So... why Brooklyn?" Jay raised an eyebrow.
"New York doesn't really need more superheroes." Hailey squeezed her fiancee's hand. "That's why we wanted to move here. So we could scale back. Deal with city-destroying crises rather than world-ending ones."
"I want to go to art school." Siv said. "I mean, I need to finish my high school diploma first, but I'm pretty sure the knowledge I picked up just from my dad is enough to take care of that, plus at least the equivalent of a year or two of college."
"Never thought of you being an artist, but okay." Jay shrugged.
"I don't know, I want to try something new." Siv replied. "I'm trying not to live in the past anymore. I want to push myself to be something better than I was. And now that me and the Negative Speed Force are finally getting along, I won't have any more of those embarrassing incidents."
"I wouldn't call accidentally blowing up a building because you're pissed off a minor incident." Jay laughed. Siv elbowed him.
"To be fair, there was an attempted robbery and I was just trying to cash my paycheck, and I didn't blow up the entire building, I just accidentally overloaded an ATM that exploded and caused a chain reaction that made all the other ATMs explode." Siv corrected. "You should have seen that homeless guy outside, when all the money came flying out with the blast."
"Wait- that actually happened?" Hailey snorted. "That's fucking hilarious."
"I swear to god Hailey if you don't shut up now I'm leaving everything to Delilah." Siv clutched their cat close to their chest.
"What? You have to admit, it is funny." Jay replied.
"Remind me why we're friends again?" Siv rolled her eyes.
"Because you love me!" Jay elbowed Siv. "Duh."
Siv handed Delilah to Hailey. "See, I seem to remember finding some random weeb who didn't have any friends and inviting him to sit with me."
"Actually, if I remember correctly, I reached out to the friendless weirdo who everyone was terrified of because they kept getting in so many fights. And winning, of course."
"Smart addition." Siv jumped slightly as a portal opened in the floor, the rest of the suitcases and furniture being spat through to their new apartment. "Thanks, Cassandra, I guess."
"It's pronounced 'kuh-sand-rah'!" Cassandra yelled through the portal before it closed.
"That's... literally what I said." They frowned.
"You said 'cass-ahn-drah'." Jay said. "You know Cass hates that."
"Babe, where's your jacket?" Hailey asked, going through a box.
"I'm wearing it, Hailes." Siv laughed.
Hailey looked up. "I'm tired."

Okay but that Eris/Rick thing kinda reminds me of some concepts I'm playing with in a ficlet with Hailey and Arya
So if you didn't know already, Hailey was put into her undead state against her will by Arya, who wasn't ready to see her die after her Jeep rolled over a landmine in Afghanistan. Arya, knowing that a human can't enter the Otherworld (my term for the Fae realm) without their soul being split from their body, forms a portal, which will inevitably spit Hailey back into the human realm severed from her body, due to Arya being an exile and being unable to enter the Otherworld.
Hailey comes to, waking up next to her own burned, mutilated corpse. Because she's transgender, she also wakes up in essentially a genderswapped version of her previous body- where she was trying to stay closeted, she's forcibly outed, due to her spirit having a traditionally female form. She's also extremely uncomfortable with her new powers, since she can't really control them at first and ends up essentially being an actual ghost most of the time, completely intangible and occasionally invisible.
An argument with Arya ensues, since Hailey didn't want to be made into... whatever she is, and Arya selfishly chose to make her into a ghost without her consent because they weren't ready to lose her. Hailey kinda wishes that Arya would have let her die- she's grateful for a second chance, and the body that she always wanted, but she's also terrified of what this means for her. As a disembodied spirit, she will likely outlast the universe, only dying once the last of the energy that makes up this reality finally dissipates, and that terrifies her.
Also, her military career is effectively over, since she's unable to hold or interact with any physical objects most of the time, and she's tied up with red tape because at that point, women weren't allowed in combatant roles, and the higher-ups are all arguing over whether Hailey counts as a real woman, since before her death, she was closeted and presenting as cis male, and only now she's finally presenting as female.
It's all very confusing for both of them, since Hailey being split from her body was a split-second choice, and neither Hailey nor Arya are entirely sure they made the right decision.
Oooooh man that's such a tough situation, but so rich with storytelling potential!! And I really like the idea that Hailey's spirit is gender-affirming (even if it's an inconvenience in the moment, it's a nice concept as a whole, knowing that death will perceive you as who you are). And again, that idea of autonomy being compromised for the sake of life... or close enough. Very cool!!

An intro to enneagram 7
Alex Russo (WOWP) ESTP 7w8 sp/sx
Core Desire (Fullfilment)- They crave joy and happiness. They love the idea of a truly satisfied life.
Vice (Gluttony)- Will look to ignore reality in order to find more pleasurable outcomes in which pain isnt a possibility.
Fixation (Exploration)- They are interested in looking for multiple ways to find enjoyment in their life.
Wings
7w6 (The Pathfinder)- Due to the 6 wing this type 7 will focus in interpersonal side of joy. They will look for comfort and joy in the company of others. They are Enthusiastic and kind. They can be seen as goofy or childish. Maybe be a bit anxious compared to the 7w8. Since their wing is 6 they will focus on being more likable and approachable to others.
7w8 (The Opportunist) - The 7w8 finds joy on its own power and ambition. They are less jovial than the 7w6 and more grounded in reality and focused on the reality of things rather than distracting themselves with interpersonal connections. Due to the wing 8 they can be seen as uncaring and uninterested in anything concerning themselves.

Due to being a Soc type they will focus on the outer world in which they can create a world where everyone can expirience joy and happiness equally. This subtype will counter the 7s vice (gluttony) through acts of service and due to this they may look like E2.

Sexual (sx)- This subtype will focus on the look for an interpersonal relationship that can make them forget the world away. They want to find joy through an ideal relationship. Their view of the world tends to be more empathic and kind that it actually is. Often will ignore the bad of situations and others due to this. This subtype isnt interested in subverting their gluttony but finding it through interpersonal connections. They want to attract others with this idea of the world as a Utopia. They can look like E8 or E9.

With: My OCs Siv Thawne and Hailey Laurence
"When were you going to tell me that you were the Shadow?" Hailey pinned Siv to the wall by her shoulders.
"The Shadow, eh?" Siv raised an eyebrow, still cocky despite her vulnerable situation. "Better than the one I was using, I guess. I like it."
"This is no time for jokes!" Hailey growled. "We've been... whatever you want to define this as... for months! And now, I find out that you're the villain that we've been chasing since that explosion at Mercury Labs!"
"First things first, that explosion was an accident. My powers are erratic and hard to control. You and I both know that." Siv replied, effortlessly calm. "Second of all, villain? I prefer the term 'vigilante'. Sure, I'm no saint, but I have a code. I only go after the people who deserve it. No children, no civilians, no animals. I may not be Miss Goody-Two-Shoes Hailey Laurence, but I'm no villain."
"You blew up a bank last week."
"Another accident!" Siv insisted, wiggling out of their jacket and out of Hailey's grip. Hailey's face immediately turned red at the sight of Siv's muscular arms and stomach, though she shook off the feeling of heat that rose in her core at the sight of the other woman's body. "You don't know a thing about me, Hailey Laurence. I suggest you stop pretending that you do."
"Stop deflecting the blame. What have I been to you all these months, Siv?" Hailey asked, tears of anger in the corner of her eyes. "You knew who I was! I don't wear a mask, unlike some people, so you would have seen my face a thousand times when we fought. You should have at least told me!"
"Please, you would have thrown me in a cell the first chance you got. You don't know the first thing about me. You think I'm this mastermind, when really, I'm just... some person. With superpowers. You don't know me at all, or why I do anything that I do!"
"Then tell me!"
"I'm trying to right a wrong that happened a long time ago." Siv replied. "What do you know about the death of Regina Rivera? March 19, 2015?"
"March 19..." Hailey trailed off, eyes going wide, her gaze a thousand miles away.
"They'll tell you she died in the fire, right? The one that burned the convention center nearly to the ground." Siv started circling Hailey, reaching for the collapsed baton in their thigh pocket. "She was murdered by a man. A monster, more like. I'm just trying to get justice for her."
Hailey clearly wasn't listening, frozen in fear and shock. Siv had clearly hit a nerve. Siv reached out to touch Hailey, but their hand swept right through her body. "The fuck?"
Siv again attempted to touch Hailey, but each time, it was like interacting with a hologram, or an illusion. There was nothing tangible in front of them. They clenched their fists, charging them up with lightning, and pressed them to where Hailey's chest should be, before releasing a cloud of static into the taller woman's body.
"Ow!" Hailey shuddered, her body becoming tangible again. "What the hell, Siv?"
"You scared the shit out of me!" Siv retorted. "You were transparent and intangible! It was like I was touching a ghost!"
"That's because you were." Hailey replied. Siv could tell that somehow, Hailey wasn't lying.
"Looks like you have some explaining to do, too."
"Maybe. We should take this elsewhere."
"My place?" Siv offered, raising an eyebrow.
"Fine. But if my boss catches us..."
"Relax." Siv squeezed Hailey's arm. "So far, you're the only one who knows who I am. Except Jay."
"Wait- you know Jay Barron?"
"Yeah, we were like, besties in high school." Siv replied. "Like I said, we both have a lot of explaining to do."

Okay but what would Jimmy think of Hailey, given that they're both ghosts who've learned how to make themselves corporeal in order to interact with the living world?
I think he'd be immediately curious about her, since he'd never met someone who'd done the same sort of thing as him. He'd probably ask what her methods were, out of curiosity, and she'd probably be curious about how long he's been a ghost and what life was like in his time. It would be a lot of talking points about how the hell they each got into this situation, especially since they ended up here in completely different ways.
He'd definitely be friendly towards her, since there are very few people he's not friendly towards and he'd definitely want to connect with someone with such a similar situation to his own. I think the only thing he wouldn't quite get at first is the trans situation, he'd be accepting (as a queer person himself) but would need a little coaching at first because that wasn't really discussed or accepted at all in his time.

Cloud's Plight
Whumpay 2022 - Day Two: From Dress to Dressing / “You’re not dead yet?” / Gunshot

TW: blood loss, implied physical assault, blood, spitting blood, family issues, implied kidnapping
“Are you certain?” Cadenza states, eyes scanning over the refugees from Pikoro. “As I sad before I am familiar with Shadow Knights, and Vincent is a shadow knight.”
Hailey nods, “I am, it’s the best for my people, and my guards are already aware of Vincent’s nature.”
Cadenza waves up one of her guards and sins on a heel, “Make sure they get settled in well.”
“My lady,” he speaks up, voice muddled throgh his armor, “Lady Aphmau requests your presence.”
Cadenza pierces her lips and shakes her head, “Have her come up here, I am dealing with Pikoro.”
“She says-”
“If she so ergently needs to see me she can come up here,” Cadenza states as she oves her eyes back to her table, “Allocating recourses for these people are my current priority.”
The guard gives a curt bow before turning around and stepping out of the room. Cadenza picks up her quill and glances up at Hailey, “Unless there is an issue, we’ve allocatied a few multiroomed buildings for your people. If we don’t have any stranglers, each family should be able to have a room for themselves and those who are single and don’ have direct family with be sharing common rooms.”
“So far I see none,” Hailey replies, “I cannot thank you enough for this.”
Cadneza gives her a warm smile, “This time no strings attached, don’t think to much of it. I woudl want this for my people.”
Cadenza sees the deep bags under Hailey’s eyes from magic overuse and sleepless nights. She practically uses her staff to hold her upright.
“You should get some sleep Hailey,” Cadenza says as she signs the papaer, “Let me handle the housing issue.”
Hailey shakes her head, “I wouldn’ be able to until everyone is safe and warm.”
“Cadenza!” Aphmau says cheerfully with her arms open, “It’s been too long.”
“The pleasure’s all mine,” Cadena follows her armor clinking as she turns, “What is the occation?””
Aphmau looks between the two other Lords and says, “I was informed that you have alot of information on Tu’la and I was wondering if i could access it.”
Looking over to the wall lined with books, Cadneza sighs, “Be my guest, but I have a request aswell.”
Aphmau nods as she takes a few steps towards the bookshelf, “Anything.”
“Vincent told me that you, Garroth, and Katelyn had ventured into the Nether,” Cadenza asks as she compiles the mess of papers across her desk, “Did you see Laurence?”
Her hand stops right before she reaches the first spine. Aphmau looks down and off to the side, gae castng across the carpet. Turning to look at her, Aphmau gives a very weak nod. She slowly exhales and faces her. Aphmau says, “I did, but he wasn’t the same.”
“What do you mean?” Cadena demands, her eyes snapping up to Aphmau’s.
Aphmau sighs and pierces her lips, “He’s… when we wen to the Nether, Zane led us to this fortress that sat on top of this giant lake of lava and Laurence came out of it and attacked him. When he saw us… Laurence shoved Katelyn and me off the bridge.”
Cadenza stops everything and spins around. She exhales and steps out of her office onto the balcony. Hailey’s eyes follow her as she leaves. Looking over at Aphmau, Hailey asks, “Laurence really did that?”
“I told you not to go looking him,” Cadenza states as she puts her hands on the railing, “Why didnt you listen?”
“It’s been almost four years,” Aphmau says, “I was worried about him.”
“He needed space Aphmau!”
The room falls silent. Aphmau takes a step forward, eyes boring into the back of Cadenza’s head. “You knew why he left and yu didn’t tell anyone. We were worried about him and you said nothing.”
Cadenza speaks with her voice filled with nostalgic frustration, “He said to keep it between us. You were not apart of those conversations.”
“He was my guard.”
“He is my brother,” Cadenza etorts as she spins around, “I’ve seen him rip himself apart for years since he became a Shadow Knight. He needed solidarity!”
“Lady Cadenza!” one of Meteli’s guards came running into the room, “We need you attention, Cloud is back and it’s not good.”
Cadenza immediately pouches past Aphmau and nods to her guard. By the time she reaches the square of Meteli, Aphmau and Hailey trailing her heels, Cadenza can already see the blood across the cobblestones.
Cloud sits, eyes barley open with blood pours from multiple lasherations across his face and arms. Calling his armor mangled would be an understatement. Cadenza dashes to his side, helping other get his armor off.
“Cloud, what happened? Talk to me,” Cadenza says as she holds up his head, “Someone go fetch Maire!”
Cloud, with blood spitting form hsi mouth, barely mumbles, “Vince… It… We… It…”
“Come on,” Cadenza says as Hailey kneels by Cloud with her staff aglow, “You’re not dead yet, stay with me Cloud.”
“It took Vincent,” Cloud stutters, blood splatting across the plate of Cadenza’s armor, “To the Nether, dragged him in.”
“It?”
“Another…” Cloud tries before he falls limp in Cadenza’s arms.
