After much deliberation, I have decided on the final ships for the bracket. I'm sorry to anyone whose ship didn't get in, it was really hard to decide! I considered doing a bigger bracket but for the sake of my own sanity, I'm leaving it at 32.

I did a poll on how to long to run the polls for the other and majority said a week. However, I've given it some more thought and for the first few rounds, I'm only going to run them for 1 day. Semifinals and finals will run for a week.

I'm going to repeat what I said in the intro post: Campaigning is absolutely fine and encouraged, just please be respectful and kind to each other. Cool? Cool.

If anyone ends up making any propaganda, I would love it if you tagged me! I'll reblog it. The inbox is also open for propaganda! I won't answer or reblog anything putting other ships down though.

I'm unfortunately busy this weekend so the tournament isn't going to start until Monday, April 10th.

double dog dare you (or, a game of he loves me, he loves me not) (atsukenhina/ushisaku, 7487 words)

Supposedly, if you pick every petal off of a daisy, alternating saying, "He loves me" and "He loves me not," supposedly, the flower will tell you if he really does love you. Atsumu does not have any daisies and he does not have much faith in this game, but he's already sitting in the yard and he's already in love, so he might as well play.

hello hello hello! ヾ(•ω•`)o it’s me, casper, back with another fic rec list! kogagoshi is one of my all time favourite ships, so i’ve compiled some into this list!! there are, unfortunately, not many kogagoshi centric fics, so i thought this list might help my fellow kogagoshi shippers!!! feel free to add your own recs/recommend some to me !!!

Remember Our Youth by bumbl3b33 (NR) 4,729 words, 1/1, [Kogagoshi] --- Goshiki thought about their time together in high school for the next few days.

He thought about their brushing hands and wide smiles. He thought about the feeling he got, something warm but aching, when he looked at Koganegawa Kanji. Most of all, though, he thought about what would have happened if he had done something, anything. What would’ve happened if he had leaned over and pressed their lips together? Maybe he could’ve done it when they played video games, sitting at the foot of Goshiki’s bed. Maybe he could’ve done it when they sat down in the grass after playing volleyball in the park. There were so many possibilities that he didn’t know the answer to. Although, he knew one thing for sure. Koganegawa had no business showing up and confusing Goshiki all over again.

this is!! so adorable!! perfectly encompasses kogagoshi’s idiot energy; the odd umbrella backstory is so funny.

**E-Mail My Heart by asynchrony, girlkita (peerlessbellbird) (T) 4,754 words, 1/1, [Kogagoshi, Ushiten-ish, Aofuta-ish] --- Hey Koganegawa-san, what’s the deal with this picture? I’m not sure I understand what a sexy truck is, but I showed it to Tendou and he forwarded it to himself on my phone. He hasn’t stopped laughing about it for the last two hours either. Koganegawa and Goshiki exchange emails, and then much more.

GWAHHHH!!! they’re so cute!!! just two silly awkward teens with their first crushes. kogane is so cute :’). HE CALLS STUFFED ANIMALS “SOFTIES”, IT’S ADORABLE!!!

soldiered storms by AP0LL0S (g) 1,249 words, 1/1, [kogagoshi] --- “I’m proud of you.” Goshiki spoke softly. “Why?” or,, where the sendai frogs lose an important match and koganegawa has to face his emotions

so cute :’). just goshiki being an amazing partner, and sad kogane. very good hurt/comfort. i normally see kogane comforting goshiki, so this was a nice change of pace, though i like both !!!

**a snack by poutyongs (g) 2,575 words, 1/1, [kogagoshi] --- Koganegawa uses a pickup line on Goshiki without much thought, except Goshiki is painfully oblivious to anything that is not volleyball related.

THIS. this is exactly how i imagine their dynamic. goshiki is so oblivious :’). kogane having fun with the pickup lines, as he should!! ‘shiki trying to figure out the pickup lines is hilarious. absolutely freaking adorable!!!

nickname by kogagoshi (g) 1,131 words, 1/1, [kogagoshi] --- After training camp, Koganegawa exchanges emails with Goshiki (and gives him a nickname, too).

goshiki is flustered + panicking so hard, and i love him :’). i genuninely can’t tell if kogane is just dense, or intentionally teasing him. knowing him, it’s probably all of the above. just a cute, short little fic !!

There’s more to life than just volleyball, Tsutomu by WaterBear45 (t) 1,792 words, 1/1, [kogagoshi, semishira] --- “I guess now you know why I didn’t come to practice.” “Um… I do?” Goshiki squeaked. Semi frowned pulling down his hood and revealing a collection of matching red marks on his neck. “Haven’t you seen a hickey before?” “Oh!” Goshiki’s hands spasmed at his sides, balling into fists. “Sure! Lots of times!”

this fic is?? so weird?? and i don’t know how to feel about it?? not in a bad way!! it’s just- you need to read it to understand what i mean <(＿　＿)>. i do genuinely reccomend it, though!!

**kogagoshi fics <3 by london_artfully (t) 4,271 words, 3 works/?, [kogagoshi, ushiten, minor semishira]

The Rather Unfortunate Circumstance of Goshiki Tsutomu by london_artfully (t) 2,919 words, 1/1, [kogagoshi, ushiten, minor semishira] --- Shiratorizawa's third years know that Goshiki has a boyfriend... but Goshiki hasn't quite realized it himself. They feel the need to do something about this.

of angry birds and rainy days by london_artfully (g) 637 words, 1/1, [kogagoshi] --- On a simple rainy day at Kogane's house after practice, Goshiki introduces his boyfriend to a certain mobile game.

breaking point by london_artfully (g) 715 words, 1/1, [kogagoshi] --- Goshiki wasn’t like Date Tech, an iron wall. He wasn’t unbreakable, and he broke far more often than one might think. Why did everything have to bother him so much?

i genuninely love this series so much, it is spectacular. all of the fics in it are amazing, and i sing nothing but praises. please, please, check these fics out.

🐸 **Scaredy Frogs by copyrightings (t) 4,835 words, 1/1, [tsukiyama, kyouhaba, kogagoshi] --- In a feeble attempt to find out which one is scarier, Koganegawa finds himself actually becoming good friends with the Sendai Frogs' most terrifying players, Tsukishima and Kyoutani. To be honest though, he doesn't even understand why people think they're scary in the first place until he meets their partners...

even though this isn’t strictly kogagoshi centric, i just HAD to include this. kogane POV fics are suprisingly rare?? so this was like a breath of fresh air. this fic is hilarious, and i adore it. the sendai frogs are all so whipped. please read this :’).

**Ankle Weights by sophie_scribblz (g) 3,150 words, 1/1, [kogagoshi, ushiten] --- How big of a crush can you develop on someone in less than a week, anyway? Not that he has a crush on someone, no, that would be dumb. He barely knows the guy; there’s no way he has a crush on him. Yeah.

But then there’s the heart fluttering and there’s the weak knees and oh, for the first time he wants someone else’s mouth on his and it all seems so appealing all of the sudden— but that’s dumb, because he barely knows the guy.

He’s a little silly, Tsutomu supposes, the guy he likes. Tall, with about four times the amount of enthusiasm you’d think should be able to fit inside his body. Clumsy, but in a charming sort of puppy-dog way that makes you want to pat his head and tell him he did a good job.

But then there’s his laugh, the way his eyes squeeze shut and this sound that embodies his joy bursts forth, bright and loud, just like everything else about him does. There’s his drive to be better, the fact that every time his upperclassmen told him he was hopeless, it only made him want to practice more. His generosity, his passion, his never ending kindness. And he gives the warmest hugs.

(Sure, his hair is a little silly but Tsutomu will let that one slide)

i don’t really know how to describe my love for this fic but,,, they are so sweet, and soft, and i love them (and this fic) so much.

2019 Winter Exchange by snazzy_scarf (g) 10,492 words, 1/1, [kogagoshi]

Matchmaker, Matchmaker! by snazzy_scarf (g) 4,233 words, 1/1, [kogagoshi] --- It all started when both Lev and Hinata received two text messages around the same time. 8:18PM Kowenga: haha when did Goshiki get so cute lol 8:26PM Goshiiiiiikiki: hey so remember how i said liked guys? by guys i meant Koganegawa sjdhfbsjf

Say That You'll Hold Me Forever by snazzy_scarf (g) 6,259 words, 1/1, [kogagoshi] --- Goshiki's had a crush on Koganegawa for some time now, and finds himself getting flustered at every little thing he says. Is he flirting with him, or is it just wishful thinking? Maybe a series of awkward conversations and loving gestures will help him find out.

this one’s a lot longer than all the other recs, but it’s real good!! the first one is an outsider pov from lev, and the second one is just a normal fic from goshiki pov. it’s just all very soft and silly. they’re both dense, and it’s quite cute :)

pairing: sakusa kiyoomi/akaashi keiji word count: 1.0k a step into intimacy, in kiyoomi's perspective or, kiyoomi aches to hold keiji and musters up the courage to do so

the earliest stages of their relationship were marked with hesitation.

neither one was willing to be the first to reach out despite wanting to—horribly, desperately so. keiji, because he's vaguely aware of kiyoomi's idiosyncracies and he loathes to overstep. kiyoomi, because he's navigating through the uncertainty around keiji's feelings for him—whether he reciprocated out of unfounded obligation from kiyoomi confessing to him or if he truly felt the same.

doubt, in all its shades.

it comes to a head one rainy afternoon.

they're in kiyoomi's apartment, watching their third movie of the day. the dull thump of rain on the window fills the space that separates them. under the throw blanket, keiji is warm, hands wrapped around a mug of cocoa that he rests on his knees pulled up to his chest. he's warm, dressed in kiyoomi's sweater, eyes mirroring the colors on the screen. he laughs quietly at the scene before him. in turn, kiyoomi watches him, transfixed. keiji is warm—so warm—and kiyoomi is too. and oh god, how kiyoomi aches to reach out to him—to hold him.

so, he does.

kiyoomi lifts his hand up, shaking as his heart thunders in his chest. gently, he runs a finger down keiji's cheek. the light touch is enough to make him jump and snap his gaze to kiyoomi, who has his knee bent on the couch to aid the way his body is turned towards him.

"kiyoomi?" keiji whispers, voice barely heard over the movie. the flex of his fingers on his mug gives away his nerves. "everything okay?"

kiyoomi doesn't answer—can't answer, really. the words stick in his throat like honey. it doesn't help that his heart has started beating even faster under keiji's gaze.

(and, really, if kiyoomi is to do what he's about to do, he ought to cast aside every other thought, lest he gives in to his nerves.)

ever so gently, kiyoomi cups keiji's cheek. his hand trembles as he does so and kiyoomi can only wish that keiji does not feel it through his skin.

a gasp accompanies blue eyes widening.

god, his eyes are beautiful, disarming.

they look at kiyoomi in a way that has him faltering. dazed as he is, he barely registers when he starts running his own thumb across keiji's cheek.

when keiji slowly nuzzles into the touch, kiyoomi knows he's done for.

"i'm glad you're here." it's more air than anything but it's the best kiyoomi can do when he finally has keiji in his hold.

i'm glad you chose me. it goes unsaid but kiyoomi hopes his touch is enough to convey it.

when keiji moves, kiyoomi is immediately stricken, barely managing to stop his hand from reaching out to keep him close. all keiji does is place the mug on the coffee table, and then he's coming back. he sits closer than he has been in the past few hours and immediately takes kiyoomi's hand to rest it on his lap.

he's not looking at kiyoomi but the flush that slowly rises on his cheeks is enough recompense.

"i'm glad you chose me." the words come out raw from keiji's lips.

kiyoomi's breath stills. keiji feels the same.

the rain thumps on the windows of the apartment. the movie plays on and on on the screen. there are dishes in the sink that need to be washed. and keiji feels the same.

relief disarms kiyoomi and he sags into keiji, leaning in close and resting his head on his shoulder. keiji's hold on his hand tightens and, in a bold move, lifts it to his lips.

a gentle press.

kiyoomi feels breathless all over again.

he nuzzles into keiji; emboldened by keiji's previous action, he leaves a kiss on the corner of his lips.

"i wanted to do this for so long." comes the confession. mumbled into the sensitive skin of keiji's neck, making him giggle.

"would you believe me if i said i did too?"

"i'd believe anything you say, keiji."

a breath. "quite heavy of a statement, don't you think?"

"if it's you, it's not all that hard to promise great things."

"you spoil me."

"i want to."

it comes out more honest than kiyoomi intended but it was true anyway. being with keiji made him want to do more—with him, and for him.

he craves to give; all without expecting anything in return and it speaks volumes of the depth of his affections for keiji.

and so, it feels all the more sweeter when keiji meets him halfway. when his efforts are rewarded with sweet smiles and gentle touches.

it's not unlike a loyal disciple gaining their deity's favor and kiyoomi is the most devoted one there is. frankly, there is nothing kiyoomi isn't willing to do for the god that blessed him so.

he keeps these thoughts to himself, unwilling to let keiji carry the full weight of kiyoomi's devotion.

in due time.

"then, at the very least, let me spoil you too." kiyoomi is pulled from his reverie at keiji's words. "i like you too, you know?"

a beat and then, "a lot, actually."

kiyoomi rises from his place on keiji's neck to look him in the eye. he sees the earnestness, the need to let him know that his love comes with a return address and keiji is more than willing to send back as much as he has received. it makes kiyoomi smile.

"i know you do." and he really does.

keiji holds his gaze a little longer. when he finds what he's looking for, he turns away and snuggles closer into kiyoomi.

all the reluctance ebbing to make room for the need to be close.

"come on. we missed like half the movie."

kiyoomi laughs and finally, finally pulls keiji into his arms.

the mug of cocoa is forgotten. the movie is replayed. the rain outside slowly eases into a drizzle. keiji is wrapped in a sweater that's a tad larger in the shoulders and he is warm in kiyoomi's arms.

the lines crossed that one rainy afternoon promised sweeter things to come and, really, that's all kiyoomi could ask for. what comes after, like everything else in kiyoomi's person, he leaves in keiji's tender hands.

yamaguchi is straight.

the bible says that homosexuality is bad and he completely agrees, he thinks. he hopes. he prays.

because sure girls were nice and pretty and he's had crushes on a few, but there's just something about boys that made yamaguchi feel giddy and warm.

he tells himself that he just appreciates them, even when holding hands with a boy gives him the same swooping feeling of thrill in his stomach he gets from doing the same with girls. no, he just appreciated boys, and it was totally different from the way he appreciated girls.

i'm straight i'm straight i'm straight

he sighs in relief when the girl holding his hand has him feeling giddy. i'm straight, he celebrates when she leans in for a kiss and he finds himself eagerly kissing back.

yamaguchi introduces her to his family as his girlfriend, his heart immediately dropping to his stomach when his mother mentions marriage. no, he's still too young for that, he tells himself. they're still too young, he convinces himself that that was the reason.

one day his girlfriend is the one to bring up marriage and he breaks up with her.

no. no marriage. 'i don't want to get married, ever' he thinks, trying to erase the image of him at the altar with a boy.

i'm straight i'm straight i'm straight

a boy smiles at him from across the room and yamaguchi desperately tries to push down the blush that threatened to creep up his neck.

i'm straight i'm straight i'm straight, yamaguchi tells himself repeatedly as the boy kisses him, the two of them hidden in an empty room in the small chapel.

matsukawa's lips were soft against him, his tongue warm as it invades his mouth, and he ignores the strain in his pants when matsukawa's body completely envelopes him as he's pushed against the wall.

yamaguchi wakes up to matsukawa's warmth the next day and feels nothing but relief. he sobs and matsukawa wakes up to sound of his cries and the feeling of his shaking body against him. he let's matsukawa hold him as he cries. because he's not straight, he's not straight, he's not straight, and yamaguchi is finally starting to accept that.
