I think they’d all be solid husband choices, but so different from one another! So here’s some HCs

Hashirama

Congrats on snagging the ‘god of Shinobi’ and ultimate golden retriever

He’s got a vision and that is Konoha, but also his spouse

In a perfect world he’d be by their side all the time, growing old and turning grey in marital bliss

Duty calls (unfortunately), but he’s fairly good about making it seem like his spouse is the only one in the world most days

Better believe that he’s sneaking up for hugs and kisses no matter the place or time

Absolute sucker for scalp massages and loves when his spouse plays with his hair

Wants his spouse to visit him at work to sneak in cuddle sessions. They can sit in his lap while he reads over paperwork

But that’s also a slippery slope as it doesn’t take much convincing to get him distracted with them

Tobirama will probably have to tell his spouse to let the man work. It’s not their fault his brother gets carried away but they can’t keep encouraging him by showing up to his office like that

Will always kiss them on the forehead whenever he’s had to work late and they’ve fallen asleep

Gives them a flower whenever they’re feeling down he grew it

Absolutely will forget at least one anniversary and beg for their forgiveness

Gambling is his hobby, so he’d enjoy having them by his side either participating or watching

Will pout to try and get his way

Also will give drunken serenades when he’s feeling particularly good/lovey dovey

Tobirama

His partner is going to have to accept that he’s married to his work

Like, he’ll love them deeply, but he’s not going to skip work just to spend time with them

This man that acts annoyed with everyone has the softest spot for his spouse

He’s an actions over words guy, so his partner really knows he cares by the little things he does that make their lives easier

The way he sweetly kisses them before leaving for a mission.

How hungrily he kisses them while backing them into the wall when he returns

How his eyes soften when he when he sees their smile

How you’ll mysteriously have a fresh stock of your favorite tea after he’s been coming home from work late recently

Never misses an anniversary or their birthday. He will have one of his trusted clan members deliver the gift(s) if he knows he’ll miss it physically because of a mission

And the gifts will be PERFECT. It’s exactly their taste because Tobirama takes everything seriously, including his spouse’s favorite things.

Hates his spouses friends, especially if they’re the clingy types that always show up when he’s trying to spend down time with his spouse

Secretly wants kids. He’s going to claim it’s his duty, but really he just wants them

If his spouse has something to say and others keep talking over them, he’s going to give the loudest “be quiet” they’ve probably ever heard

Doesn’t care too much for PDA, but also wouldn’t hesitate to take his spouses hand if the streets are crowded

It’s too much of an unnecessary hassle to get separated, so they’re stuck holding his hand not that they’d complain

Has a side of the bed and he’s sticking to it

He’s going to debate his spouse at some point over something. Just know he loves them no matter how heat that debate may get

Gives the absolute best massages around. Perfection 🤌

Kawarama

He knows his spouse will be his spouse by the end of their first date

Because when he falls in love, he falls hard and fast

Unlike his two older brothers, he’s not of the same mindset when it comes to Konoha being of the utmost importance

He loves his village, he loves his family, he loves protecting people, but he loves his partner 10x more

Hope they’re into physical touch, because that’s Kawarama dominant love language

Be it hand holding, slinking an arm around their waist, leaning on them, them putting their cold feet under his butt for warmth, or being intertwined while cuddling

It makes him happier than anything to be able to be that close with the person he loves

Their touch lights his nerves on fire and he craves it

PDA isn’t a problem with him, he’ll most likely do it without thinking much of it

Only if his spouse has an issue with it will he actually show some self restraint

He is going to be a bit envious of the PDA couples though sigh. Must be nice

He’s down for almost anything his spouse wants to do, they only need ask

This man would turn his back on the world for his spouse, so be careful with that

I’ll talk to anyone who will listen about his spouse, they’re his favorite person after all

He’s bragging even if it’s a terrible mending job they did

Doesn’t forget an anniversary because he wrote himself a note and repeated the date to Tobirama until his life was threatened as a backup

Once it’s stuck in Tobirama’s head he’s not going to at least mention the date to Kawarama as it approaches extra back up

His gifting ranges from sweet flowers to rocks he thinks look cool, so if his spouse wants something of monetary value, they’re going to have to say it

Where he actually shines in the romantic scene is his date planning. He knows all the best secret spots with gorgeous views

Loves play fighting and will do things to provoke one

Prefers spooning in bed, big spoon or little spoon , but he’s also doesn’t mind being his spouse’s pillow

If his spouse falls asleep in a random place, he’ll lay down and take a name with them

Least likely to go against what his spouse says, their word is law to him

Itama

Shyest of the bunch

He’s very reserved with his love for his partner in public

Only really daring to hold their hand if they take his first

But in private, he’s very affectionate towards them

Helps with laundry, cleaning, and cooking because he likes doing acts of service

Will even help them wash their hair if they let him

He hates feeling useless. Please give him task to do, even if they’re small

He loves spending quality time together so just sitting and talking to them brightens his days

At some point, they will get a poem he wrote for them. In a very nervous but heartfelt way because he’s never actually read his poetry to anyone

Buys confections for them to enjoy together

hides the gifts he’s bought his spouse months early. He’ll make a Face unknowingly if his spouse gets too close to their hidden gift he’s panicking. Just move away from that area

He doesn’t cuddle to sleep but he likes holding hangs while drifting to sleep

He can be withdrawn from time to time do to him feeling particularly guilty about the past, but all he really needs from his spouse at times like that is reassurance

He doesn’t like arguing at all but will kindly try to get his point across when he disagrees with something they’ve said

Gets up extra early if they have a mission to be on and packs their rations

has sketched them a lot but hides those pictures because he doesn’t want anyone to see them, except his spouse

"This is wrong," she panted, but did nothing to remove herself from Harry's embrace as he continued to make a mess out of her neck. "You have a girlfriend."

"Only technically," he said, his voice muffled as he kissed around the top of her breast.

But that did make her pause. Was there something going on and he was trying to convince her there wasn't, or was he telling the truth?

"Technically? What the hell does that mean?"

Harry stopped kissing her, hovering so that they were nose to nose. "It's just a PR stunt. We're not actually dating."

"Oh."

He took that as the go ahead to continue, and she let him, trying to get lost in lust and attraction the way he was. But she couldn't stop thinking now. Harry had been flirting with her the last few days at the bar they both happened to frequent, sometimes even when his "girlfriend" was there. She rebuffed him, trying to deny the fact that she was attracted to him, but he kept on persisting, and there was only so much she could take before giving in. Tonight was the night. Only now she wasn't so sure.

Y/n wasn't a part of the music or acting industry, she wasn't even a celebrity; she was veritably no one. She wasn't familiar with the ins and outs of PR relationships, all she had known was that Harry was seening someone, and here he was, saying it was a technicality.

But what did that make her?

All of this was going through Y/n's head as she and Harry kept kissing on his bed and ridding themselves of clothes, but as he was loosening the belt around his waist, she told him to wait.

"Have you done anything with her?"

"What?"

Harry clearly wasn't expecting that question, and neither was Y/n, but she needed to know. So she asked him again, "Have you done anything with her?"

He couldn't give her an answer, but in a way, his silence was answer enough. Y/n wasn't the kind of girl that slept around with someone else's man, technicality or not. This had been a moment of weekness, but now she'd come to her senses.

"Right. I think I'm gonna go," she said, maneuvering herself out from underneath Harry and off his bed.

"Come on. Please don't go. It's really not a big deal," he said. His hair was all over the place from Y/n's hands running through it, and his bedroom eyes were very dreamy, but she held strong.

"I don't like to share. I guess I should've said that earlier," she said. "I'll see you around, Harry."

She left him, not turning back when he called out to her. Y/n was bummed, of course. Harry was very attractive and even more charming, but this whole situation reaked of messy drama, and she really didn't need to take part in it.

Was Y/n a little disappointed? Sure, but she also knew she was doing the right thing. It would make one hell of a story one day, though.

For the winter otp questions, could you do Yelena? I thought of her when I saw them. Don't know who to pair her with though! ☺️ Just pictured her all wintered up. Maybe some gen with Natasha? All the numbers if that's not too much? 👉👈 They're all so cute.

Is it this one that you're talking about? I have two Christmas prompts. I can't help in terms of shipping, but I was thinking Natasha and Yelena as sisters. This is in a verse where Natasha lives, because she deserved better.

Holly: Will you include the mistletoe tradition in your works? Do your characters participate? Have you ever celebrated this tradition in your own home? Yelena and Natasha refuse to do mistletoe in their own homes. The Avengers compound had one, but it caused too much controversy. Tony insists they stay at his parties, though. Melina and Alexei have one in the threshold of their bedroom where the girls will absolutely not go in and Melina and Alexei get their kisses anyway. If Natasha is dating someone, she MIGHT tolerate a mistletoe. Yelena will not.

Peppermint: Thoughts and opinions on ugly Christmas sweaters? Yelena: It takes some time because Yelena finds they clash with her fashion style - she's the more fashion conscious between her and Nat, but later on? Yelena LOVES them and can't get enough of them. She just had to find the right one to be interested. Natasha: Natasha might find an ironic one or one that is more of a meme. Not like a cat pics meme but a meme of the avengers that she's decided to adopt as her own. However, there is nothing too crazy with her. It's not her thing.

Chocolate: Reaction to the first snow of the year. It's meh for them. They grew up in Russia. They acknowledge it can sometimes be beautiful, but Natasha thinks of all the sludge that comes with it. Yelena finds it more beautiful that Nat, but only when it's the big fluffy snow which she does not see very often.

Tree: Who convinces who to get a real tree this year? Natasha is the one who convinces Yelena. Yelena is very environmentally conscious, while Nat is as well, Yelena tends to take it more seriously. They debate what is truly more "Green" (get it?)However, after rock, paper, scissors, Natasha wins and they find a real tree - which Tony volunteers to laser cut it while Steve volunteered to cut for them. They politely refused.

Apple: Something you’re characters like to do as a couple/group. Yelena likes selfies/family pictures. She can't help it. She wants to make up for lost time and make as many memories as she can. The pictures make these memories more tangible and despite the pictures of the past being fake, she still enjoyed the memories of taking those pictures. She also loves playing tourist and taking Natasha or Kate with her. Natasha loves trying new cafes and restaurants, but also cooking for others. She has a special fondness for domesticity. She's not entirely sure why, but she thinks it's because it can be a form of peace from her busy hectic life. Melina approves because, "Cooking is just chemistry". Gift: Who has been waiting all year to give their gift to another person? How long have they planned it? Both girls do. Natasha is a strategist and planner. She naturally and selflessly has always put a lot of time and effort into caring for others and finding out what they truly enjoy. Natasha is the type of girl who finds the most obscure thing on Ebay and gifts it to you...but she'd rather hunt it down for herself like a scavenger hunt. The more obscure, the better. Yelena WANTS to do the same, but realizes she's not as good at it or patient as Natasha. She tries to make something instead...only for it to go wrong. Knitting goes wrong, crotchet goes wrong...but metal working? Goes quite well and she will make either a weapon, something useful, or a decorative sculpture. (Please let me have welder or blacksmith Yelena.)

Cinnamon: Favorite festive drink. Natasha: Mulled Wine Yelena: Hot chocolate with vodka and cinnamon to spice it up. Mug: Do they have a cheesy cup they use specifically for the holidays? Natasha: Yes, actually. Clint's kids gave her a mug in the shape of a snowman. Yelena does not have one...yet. Kate is on a secret mission to find the perfect one for Yelena.

Cider: Something they’re worried about during this time of the year. Natasha worries about Steve. She knows she shouldn't. She knows he's an adult, but she still knows what it means to be alone. Luckily, Bucky is with him this Christmas and she worries a little less. She also hopes that things stay quiet for once in her life. Yelena is worried about what sort of memories she'll unlock if she visits Melina and Alexei. She had some pleasant memories during her time in Ohio, but sometimes, remembering these memories can be painful for her.

Eggnog: Favorite winter activity. Natasha: Ice skating and sitting by the yule log. She loved athletics and then warming up all nice and cozy warming up with hot tea. Yelena: Snow sledding! The girl is chaotic energy and loves having fun. She has to release that energy somehow. She doesn't mind getting messy, either. If she can trip Natasha or Kate to fall into the sled, even better.

Turkey: How are they coping this year? Is this time of the year hard for them? I hc that Natasha has S.A.D. disorder, sometimes. I also believe it's possible for the Widows to be especially busy around Christmas as with so many formal events, it would be the perfect time to eliminate certain marks. Sometimes, she broods - with good reason. Yelena didn't remember her past Christmases to know to miss it. She vaguely remembers the ones in Ohio and those were happy times for her. Other than that, no.

Fuzzy socks: Favorite chill hangout activity (OTP or group activity)? Natasha loves movies while Yelena loves board games. She fully takes advantage of game nights whether it's with Melina and Alexei, Kate and Clint's family, or with the Avengers. She swears she doesn't cheat. As you can imagine, this does not stay a "chill" activity for long.

Blankets: Do they prefer to leave the house or stay inside during the winter. Both women were trained to tolerate the weather no matter what. The cold doesn't bother them so much. Nat is always working so she hardly thinks about the cold. However, she does enjoy her time alone indoors. Yelena loves being outside, but sometimes, there is such a thing as being too cold.

Christmas lights: How much do they decorate the house? Yelena loves to raid Target and especially loves the Featherly Friends bird collection as well as knit blankets, twinkling lights and candles with just a hint of tinsel. She learned the hard way that it gets EVERYWHERE. Natasha doesn't really decorate. She still has the mentality that she shouldn't become accustomed to living in one place for too long. However, Steve has painted her a winter scene, The Barton children have gifted her crafts, which she has displayed on her fridge as well as a few gifts from Tony, Thor, Bruce and Wanda over the years. However, she still keeps it minimal.

Family: Do they have family they’re going to see? It depends, sometimes it's the Avengers - with Natasha being closer to some more than others. Sometimes, it's Yelena visiting Kate before she and Natasha have a quiet Christmas together. Sometimes, it's Natasha with the Bartons, or it's with Melina and Alexei

Snow: What are they naming their first snowman of the year? Natasha thinks it's stupid and won't do it. Okay, fine, she'll do it for Clint's children. They name it Fred. Yelena names hers Rodney.

Tradition: What are their yearly traditions? Natasha remembers watching the Nutcracker ballet on tape or if they were especially fortunate, seeing it in person. She has a complicated history with ballet, but she's always loved the Nutcracker. Yelena, meanwhile, wants to eat Russian teacake cookies. Notice I said eat, not bake.

Pine Needle: What are they doing on Christmas Eve? Well, Hawkeye showed that it could be better. However, this is a "She lives" Au. Usually, they are with the Avengers, their "parents", hanging with each other, or Yelena will make a point to visit Kate. Honestly, Yelena makes it a tradition to visit or leave some sort of hidden message or note for Kate each year in remembrance of their first meeting. Yelena wants to go out and see the lights whereas Nat has to be dragged out. Once she's in her comfy PJ's and bathrobe - there is no moving. Sorry, Yelena, those puppy eyes won't work.

Ornament: What are they doing on Christmas Morning? Natasha would like to sleep in, but she knows that her body isn't going to let her. Too many years of training, regulation and routine. Yelena is in the same position, but she will take back her sleep schedule, thank you very much. Then the girls have pancakes, before going to Melina and Alexei's house if they were not sleeping over already. There, Melina makes a huge traditional Russian feast which she most certainly expects the girls to assist...Alexei goes and naps. Then they open gifts, Alexei sings songs and tell stories before Yelena insists they watch an American Christmas movie because she finds them hilarious. However, Natasha also loves spending time with the Avengers, especially Steve since he doesn't have family at this time. Sometimes, if she's in the States, she'll have a small family dinner with Steve, Clint, and some years Wanda while they show Steve It's A Wonderful Life. He, in turn, wants to watch Christmas films from his era including The Shop Around the Corner and Holiday Inn.

Giorno had blinked himself awake 3 times already when he realized that he was far too sleepy to focus on the book he had been trying to read. The words got blurry and he found his eyes closing involuntarily almost every five minutes, so he decided to---for once---retire early for the night. Setting down the book on his bedside table and buttoning up his silk pyjamas because of the autumn breeze drifting through the balcony, all that was left for the mafia don to do was to switch off his reading light so he could hit dreamland.

As he leaned over to the lamp, a quiet voice stopped him in his tracks.

"Hey, Giorno?"

Pausing, he turned to his lover, resting his upper body on his elbows, his voice gentle, "Was the light bothering you? I'm switching it off right now, don't worry."

She shook her head and bit her lip, an anxious expression flitting over her face. The blonde felt confused, having never been unable to decipher her feelings before. However, right now, he was stumped; he had no idea as to what was occupying her mind and worrying her.

"Has something upset you?" he carefully probed, before he furrowed his eyebrows, a familiar glint flashing in his emerald eyes, "Did something happen behind my back?"

"No, nothing like that," she was quick to reassure him, before she squeezed her eyes shut, inhaling sharply and finally asking in an uncharacteristically timid voice, "I was just wondering... Giorno, do you still love me?"

"Why would you ask something like that?" Giorno, though rarely explicitly expressive of how he felt, looked quite upset at her question, and she swallowed thickly.

"Just... please. Answer the question."

"Of course I do. There's no doubt about it," he answered without a single moment's hesitation, before falling back on his side to face her in a more comfortable position, his hand underneath his head, "Have you ever felt that I don't?"

"Not exactly," his beloved sighed, nestling deeper into the covers, as though hiding from the hurt of something inexplicable, "It's just that... we haven't really done anything romantic in quite a bit. We lead pretty busy lives, and we're so used to being with each other. I wondered if you got bored because you felt like our spark died."

"If someone stops loving someone just because they don't go out on dates every other day and buy a dozen roses weekly, then they were never fit to be in a relationship," Giorno firmly said, a hand reaching out to cover her palm between both their bodies, "I've heard from many people that being with someone can get tedious after a while, but I've never felt that with you before. I suspect they've only ever felt that because they weren't willing to mature alongside their partner," he smiled gently at her bathed in the dim orange glow, with her flushed cheeks and still-kind-of-worried gaze, "I like sharing my life with you, and I like you sharing yours with me. Even the mundane feels special when you're doing it with someone dear."

"But doesn't it feel more like routine than anything?" she nervously asked, her free hand fiddling with the threads at the end of her shirt, and the young man shrugged.

"Sure it does, but isn't that what makes it so nice? It's the kind of routine you look forward to and find comfort in," a tender smile on his face, he began to list a few things off his head, "Waking up beside each other, grabbing breakfast before work, phoning each other to buy something on the way home, going grocery shopping together, even just sitting in the same room keeping each other company... I like these things."

Some doubt still clouded her eyes, but he was perceptive enough to pick up on it and continue, "If you would like that, I can arrange for a getaway next week, so we can focus on our relationship only. That way, I can show you that I'm more than willing to keep our spark going forever."

She tried to protest frantically, "Love, we're both so busy, asking for something like that would be insensitive. Plus, I only needed some reassurance for a stupid question."

He shook his head, "I insist. I want to spend time with you on our own," again, he could only give her his warmest smile in return, squeezing her hand affectionately, "And it wasn't a stupid question. If it was on your mind, then it was important. You can ask me as much as you want, I’ll say I love you each time."

That was all it took to have her throwing her arms around him, burying her face into his warm chest. Only when her shoulders began to shake did he realize that she was crying into this hug, and he felt his heartstrings being pulled, one by one with each damp spot she left on his pyjama shirt.

"Hey," the blonde pulled her back at an arm's length, only to find her averting her eyes and wiping at her cheeks, "Please don't look away from me. Come here."

Her hands were replaced with Giorno's soft palms, gentle and careful as they caught the tears and wiped them away. An unmistakably loving look in his eyes, he held her watery gaze for a few seconds before leaning in for a tender kiss to her lips; nothing more than a simple peck, but speaking a thousand sweet words. And after pulling back, he brought her to his chest once again, ear pressed against to his beating heart.

He wanted her to know with absolute certainty that there would never come a day when his heart would stop beating so erratically and quickly when he held her so near. It was practically impossible, when he'd only ever known about love with her.

Hehe of course Anshi! I hope you like these, I’m sorry if they’re not very good 😅. Its been a while since I’ve done HC’s and I haven’t done any for a date before but I hope you like them ☺️! (I also have your other request almost done hopefully i’ll have it finished by next week hehe)

Hinawa:

• Even though you couldn’t tell, Hinawa was a bit nervous when he decided to ask you out! To you and everyone else he seemed normal, although a little more tense, but otherwise he seemed pretty normal.

• So when he finally came up to you one day and asked you to go on a date with him you were pleasantly surprised and had said ‘yes’, and for a split second you saw relief in his eyes, but it quickly disappeared.

• Hinawa would probably take you out on a hiking trail or somewhere like a botanical garden as a date, since he loves nature and you seemed to like it too!

• If you didn’t really care for nature or gardens then he would let you decide where you two would go (such as a movie or an amusement park), as long as he spent some time with you he really didn’t care where you two went!

• Hinawa would be a perfect gentleman I think, although he would be a bit stiff and unsure at first since it had been a while since he had been on a date. But after a little while he would start to loosen up I think.

• Hinawa would probably open doors for you, would let you order food first,would compliment the way you looked, and he would tell you to decide where you wanted to go for the second half of the date.

• If Hinawa saw you do something cute (ie; you two went hiking and you saw a cute baby animal that morning) he would probably be a bit surprised at first, but he would smile softly and couldn’t help but think how adorable you were in that moment.

• The way you smiled so brightly and the happiness Hinawa saw in your eyes when you saw the baby animal made his heart skip a beat, his eyes widened just a bit, and all he could think the rest of the day was how cute you were and how he always wanted to see that smile on your face no matter what!

• To end the date Hinawa would take you to your favorite restaurant and would tell you to order whatever you wanted. After the meal you told him how, in your opinion, that his cooking was better than the restaurants he couldn’t help but feel a swell of pride and satisfaction at your words. Here he had been, giving you compliments all day, and you come back and give him one of the biggest compliments of all.

• After your date and Hinawa took you home he walked you all the way to the door, because he wanted to make sure you got there safely, and it was a bit awkward at first. Neither of you really knew what to do next, although you both knew you didn’t want to say goodbye, but you sadly had too. Hinawa would give you a small smile, tell you goodnight, and just as he started walking away you leaned up and gave him a kiss on the cheek.

• You told him goodnight and that you wanted to go on another date when he was free next, and all Hinawa could do was nod in agreement before he watched you walk into your home and close the door softly behind you. When you had started dating Giorno you appreciated how much he loved nature and animals.

Arriving early to pick you up for a date, he needed to wait for you to finish getting ready. Spotting the lovely bird in the corner of you living room, he had asked about it.

You then went on to tell Giorno the cockatoos name and age, how long you had it for and you made him aware of the fact that it was a very talkative and would probably keep speaking while they were getting ready.

When you took Giorno towards the cage and held out your hand for the bird to perch on, it did so with a flourish, bearing its crest and flapping its wings showing that it was happy and excited.

Giorno smiled while watching you two; it warmed his heart to see you that happy and being as affectionate to your pet.

You excused yourself and got ready, leaving Giorno alone with the bird. You smiled hearing the happy sounds emanating from the living room, quickly finishing up so you could leave with your charming boyfriend.

Being in a relationship with Ethan

Headcanon format; Mostly from the perspective of the Operator, written in second person

Contains: Ethan, s/o who's meant to be the reader, s/o's role is unspecified (they can be an Operator or the Doctor, it's up to the reader!! 💞), acquaintances to established relationship progression, lots of fluffiness 🥺

ETHAN

･ In the simplest of terms, being in a relationship with Ethan is quite the ride indeed.

･ He’s a little bit of a handful - in fact, whenever you mentioned being his partner the typical response from those at Rhodes Island would be something along the lines of: “Really? How do you handle...him?” - but you adored him, no matter what anyone else thought.

･ With that being said, you had no idea that knocking into him during your lunch period while the Sarva was cloaked would lead to everything that had happened, but alas - here you and Ethan now were.

･ In all honesty, you two definitely didn't have a relationship as graceful as the ones found in fairy tales, but neither of you would have it any other way.

･ You had intrigued Ethan even before his first encounter with you in the cafeteria. You two had worked together on a few occasions, and from what he had observed, you were quite relaxed and polite to just about everyone he saw you working with.

･ People such as yourself were rare; with Oripathy and Catastrophes holding Terra in their palm and constantly threatening lives, compassion was usually the last thing on anyone's mind.

･ Yet here you were, showing kindness towards almost everyone at Rhodes Island - Operators who had pasts full of gallantry and Operators who had track records of being troublesome alike.

･ When he had finally met you, his interest grew and grew with every moment you two shared.

･ While it bothered him a little, Ethan had grown very used to people forgetting or ignoring him because they perceived him as odd or suspicious, especially considering his previous job working under the Reunion Movement and the way he seemed to always pop out of nowhere.

･ But with you he didn't have to worry about any of that, because you weren't like that at all.

･ Just a few days after you had officially met, you had sent him a wave and smile when you noticed him in the room while waiting for an Operation briefing to start, “Hi Ethan.”

･ The Sarva froze completely for a few seconds, almost losing his grip on his yo-yo while his brain short-circuited; you remembered him? You remembered him!

･ Maintaining his chill demeanor, he turned to you with light mirth on his face, “Oh, it’s you! Haha, looks like you found me again!”

･ You two continued to share such simple, lighthearted encounters; and yet as time went on, you became the catalyst for all kinds of change in Ethan’s life - and it all started with him growing to care for you more than he had expected himself to.

･ The Sarva wouldn't admit it, but at first, the idea of telling you about how he felt towards you then asking you out on a date scared him to death. What if you said no? What if you never talked to him again?

･ Such thoughts made him want to disappear forever - but he knew he couldn't do that, it wasn't like his Arts were capable of such things anyways.

･ So he eventually gathered all of his courage; after him, yourself and a multitude of others returned to Rhodes Island from a successful Operation, he had pulled you aside and away from all of those who were celebrating.

･ He had startled you a little, but when he grabbed your arm and guide you to a more secluded corner of the room you didn't stop him - you only spoke up once he stopped his hasty walking and turned your body so you were facing him, “Huh? Ethan-” “Let’s go out for food.”

･ When your mouth had fallen agape and you blinked slowly a few times, Ethan felt panic build in his chest and debated using his Arts to vanish and run off as far away from you as possible; but thankfully your reply came before that could've happened - “I’d love to go eat out with you, Ethan! We should go right now.”

･ Your tone seemed so eager, and a frisson of pure, overjoyed energy had shot through the Sarva - you wanted to go out with him? ‘Oh wow, they really want to go out with me?!’

･ His heart soared and the widest of grins broke out onto his face; he was already taking your hand in his and leading you away before his response even left his lips, “Alright, it's a date! Let’s get going!”

･ And when the time finally came, that same eagerness and smile had been on Ethan’s face when he asked to be your boyfriend - and you replying with ‘yes’ was really only the start of it all.

･ Right off the bat, the Sarva can’t ever help but pour endless affection on you all the time.

･ He’ll appear from thin air as you’re going about your duty around the Rhodes Island landship, immediately pull you into his embrace and then cover your face in quick, playful kisses.

･ Every time you exclaimed about being surprised or embarrassed, the Sarva would just chime with a light laugh and send you an amused grin; “Hm, what? You didn't see me coming?”, and biting back your own smile you always sighed in half-hearted exasperation, “Ethan…”

･ Whenever you two were walking or sitting abreast, his hand always found its way into yours and his tail always found its way around your waist. For the Sarva, just holding your hand or having his arm slung around your shoulders isn't enough - he liked it best when your form is pressed to his.

･ So needless to say, Ethan adores PDA; making you feel loved and basically telling everyone in your surroundings “Yo! I’m their boyfriend! Did you get that? They’re mine!” while doing so? It's a win-win in his book.

･ Even if people murmured about how unprofessional and ostentatious his behaviour was, it didn't bother him at all. Who cared what everyone else thought? To say he was proud to be your boyfriend was an understatement to him, and he felt it was only right to show it.

･ And on top of that, he genuinely really couldn't help it; he found so much solace in you, and he felt so indescribably warm and fuzzy around you. Ethan was practically drawn to you like a magnet.

･ Nicknames were something the Sarva found lots of fun in; he was always coming up with new and creative ones to call you by. However, he did have a few favourites that he feels suit you best.

･ No matter the setting, he’d greet, address and bid farewell to you with a cute nickname - he loves the little smile that comes to your face upon hearing the endearment fall warmly from his lips.

･ “Good morning, babe! What’cha up to?” “Haha, you’re really something, aren't you cutie?” “Alright, I gotta get going. I’ll see you later, baby.”

･ Ethan’s major love language is spending quality time with you.

･ He’d always keep you company during lunch and he spends his breaks with you almost all the time; if he lacked the time for you during the day, then he visited your dorm or invited you to his during nighttime.

･ Once alone with you he enjoys hearing about your day, but if you don't really have anything to share then he’d tell you about his - “We handed Reunion’s asses to them during that Operation today, me and the others got them easy! You should’ve been there babe, I bet we would’ve looked so cool on the battlefield kicking ass together.”, “Lunch was so good today...you think so too, right baby? Haha, no way I’m going back to Reunion after tasting the food here!”

･ The Sarva also loves when you sit in his lap with his arms wrapped tight around you. Having you so close and knowing, in that moment, that the two of you are completely alone makes him feel so safe and serene.

･ If you play with his hair or pet his tail while being held by him, he’d absolutely melt into your touch.

･ Sometimes, when you’re both blanketed by the night sky or a sunset while he has you in his lap, Ethan would shut his eyes while his chest filled with a fuzzy warmth that made his heart rate pick up; you always had that effect on him, if he was perfectly honest.

･ Then, he’d murmur to you about more private things, such as his time with Reunion or to remind you about how much he needed you - “Babe, I’m really happy we met after I joined up with Rhodes Island and not when I was still working with Reunion. Huh, why? Uhmm, nothing, I just don't know if you would’ve felt the same if you saw...that sour stuff.”, “What? Do I want you to move? No! Shoot, I mean...sorry, it’s just...right here is fine. Don’t go, I need you close right now.”, “You know… you’re pretty special, baby. Back when I was with Reunion, I never ever met people kind and… soft like you. I never really thought I would.”

･ He enjoys giving and receiving gifts too - that’d be another one of the Sarva’s love languages.

･ Any gift you give to Ethan resulted in him basically tackling you with a hug and giving you a warm, excited kiss as a ‘thank you’ - however, if you make food just for him he falls a little more in love with you, if that was even possible.

･ He’d try to return the favour sometimes; but unfortunately, areas of culinary aren't his strong suit. Despite that, he’d remain ardent and determined in making you the perfect dish until you coax him into stopping and assured him he didn't need to repay you.

･ “Ethan, I cooked that for you because I wanted to give you something. I really don't need anything in return, you don’t have to do all of this...!” “Huh? But babe-!” “Come on, we’ll get in trouble for making a mess of the cafeteria kitchen…”

･ The Sarva would eventually listen to you; he’d settle down and shove his face with food while ranting about how bad the meals back at Reunion were and how what you cooked might as well have been conjured up by some kind of Arts, because he can't fathom how it tastes so delectable.

･ That didn't mean Ethan never had any gifts to give you, however; because he most certainly did.

･ They aren’t always material; he’d ask if you want to listen to a song or watch a video he found off the internet with him, usually adding in that the aforementioned reminded him of you or your relationship - plus, this tied in with spending more time with you so it’s another win-win in his book.

･ Whether you two were at Rhodes Island or out on an Operation, if you accepted, the Sarva sat with you until the song or video finished - sharing a pair of earbuds and holding you close so you could both see his tablet or phone screen.

･ While the song or video would play, he’d point out little things with a small smile and warmth in his eyes -“That lyric just now reminds me a lot of you, cutie. Haha, your face is turning pink!”, “Yo, check out how those guys are hugging! That’s just like us, right baby?”, “This song sounds so much like us. Yeah, we should make it our song!”

･ Gifting you clothes or sharing clothes with you was also something Ethan found loads of fun in - especially when you two matched outfits.

･ While it wasn’t always practical to wear upscale clothing, considering you two were almost always doing lots of rather demanding and quick-paced work, whenever you both shared a day off the Sarva would finally bring up wearing matching clothes for the day.

･ “Yo, babe. I had the most genius idea - let’s get matching clothes to wear during our date today!”

･ Ethan also has no issue settling for wearing matching accessories or clothing articles, if full outfits are a little bit too ostentatious. You weren't sure where he was getting all these sets of matching accessories, but the Sarva really had no issue gifting you something new almost every week: beanies, necklaces, key chains, shoes - the list went on.

･ Also, he’d definitely make sure everyone knew you two were matching - “Yo, check it out! We’ve got matching clothes! Yep, we match, isn't that cool as hell?”

･ No matter what form it took, Ethan simply adored having a little piece of you with him during the day; even if it’s something as small as a beanie of a matching set.

･ Speaking of daily life; he likes to keep a close eye on you - not in an overburdening manner, he just absentmindedly weaved checking on you into his daily ordeals. The Sarva wants to be there when and if you need him.

･ He’s a bit protective of you; he’s everywhere but nowhere, and he somehow was always able to come to your rescue when anyone was bothering you.

･ He’d appear like magic, wrapping his arms - and sometimes also his tail, just for good measure - securely around your form before leveling whoever was causing you trouble with a sharp, defiant look; usually the person ended up so startled that they run off before Ethan can even get a word in.

･ He always makes sure you’re okay afterwards too, on top of letting you know that he’s ready for a fight if you want some payback - “Hey, you okay? Alright. But if you need me to, I’ll get ‘em! They’ll never see me coming!!”

･ Ethan needed you - maybe just as badly as he needed food, water and air. Without you, he truly doesn’t know what he would do.

･ Often, his words failed him and what came from his mouth did nothing to express to you all warm feelings that formed inside of his chest at just your presence alone. Thankfully, his actions spoke just as well as words would’ve, if not better.

･ Ethan’s touch was always electric - he pulled all your attention to him so effortlessly whenever he dragged fingers up from your hands or from your waist, his touch leaving leaving trails of warm sparks on your skin. Then, he’d pull you into his chest with a soft sigh.

･ The safety, comfort and pure adoration that embraced the Sarva every time he held you against his heartbeat was profound and beyond words.

･ And one day, that same hurricane of feelings is what caused his brain to finally understand exactly what he needed to tell you.

･ “Baby…” Ethan began, hesitantly pulling you back in order to take your cheeks in his hands, “I love you, so much. You really got me good, haha.” When you chimed with a little laugh and replied with a soft ‘I love you, too’, he grinned gently before going on, “But I don't want it any other way, I want to be yours and I want you to be mine. I know, that sounds kinda… lame, but I’m just being honest! And...and if I disappear on a battlefield someday, I need you to remember me, okay?”

･ His implication seemed to cause your face to fall a little, but you wanted to put him at ease. So, with eyes full of honesty and love, you nodded - “Okay. I swear I will, Ethan.”

･ He exhaled in relief, content with your reply, “Good! Then...I gotta just make one last promise.” With that, he lowered his voice to a whisper and spoke to you in the most honest, affectionate tone he could manage.

･ “Babe, I’m done running away from things - from people, from places. I don’t want to run anymore, I just need to stay with you...” Trailing off, Ethan tilted your chin up ever-so gently to meet your tender gaze then sealed his promise with a slow, emotion-filled kiss.

･ Upon breaking away, he added one final thing; “And hey...I’m really, really glad you found me.”

the world had not been kind to you today. from an abundance of new assignments to minor inconveniences like a bad hair day or spilled coffee, everything had worn you down.

despite the amount of homework you had, the only thing you could focus on right now was the video game on the tv in front of you, which you were playing with a scowl.

distantly, you hear the door to your apartment creak open.

“babe? you home?” your boyfriend, hajime calls out. you don’t respond, as the game sound effects were loud enough to alert him to your presence. a minute later, he appears in the doorway.
