Also, there is so much hand-wringing over the ethics of BDSM and while obviously it is worth taking care about ...sensation seeking is a thing. Many, many people enjoy eating habanero peppers and/or watching movies that make them cry. The conceptual leap from there to the idea that it's possible for sex to hurt good is a very short one, and sometimes it REALLY is as simple as that.

Ate a grilled mourning dove once that was so good it reverted my brain to a caveman state of mind. Used my hands for that too. Not sure how else you were supposed to eat it.

can they use chopsticks : Absolute pro. Don’t let a tasty morsel dangle for too long because she’ll snap that from between chopsticks like it’s no one’s business.
what do they do when they can’t sleep : Depends on the reason she can’t sleep; she use to (and sometimes still does) drink to help lull her back to slumber but she has also started journaling when she can’t sleep. Writing down thoughts, or the dreams/nightmares that woke her up. She also likes to go for short walks or sit out on her porch and just watch the moon and stars till she feels sleep creeping up. However, she had accidentally fallen asleep there once or twice.
what would they impulse buy at the grocery store: Any crazy new flavored snack food – habanero lime chips, yep, sold. She’ll probably also buy something far off center to dip new snack in. What goes well with habanero lime chips? Probably a mango salsa or chocolate sauce obviously.
what order do they wash things in the shower : Face, hair, body. This order only changes if she does a hair mask or a leave in conditioner.
what’s their coffee order : She doesn’t have a single go-to, it depends on her mood but they’re usually complicated and overly sweet. And they’re like 90% of the time iced drinks, unless it’s really cold. She’s also the kind that will try whatever the latest trendy/seasonal coffee is at least once.
what sort of apps would they have on their smartphone : All the social media! Instagram, Tiktok, (or the Soul Society equivalent of the platforms), music apps, and at least like 3 mindless games like Candy Crush – anything that can be used to distract her from doing her actual work.
how do they act around children : Rangiku is the Cool Aunt™️ around young kids, around babies she most certainly the doting kind. Once kids are out of the baby stages, she’s definitely the one that will spoil them with whatever they want or ask for. She’s also the one that they can come to when/if they get into trouble and don’t want their parents to know. She’ll also be the one to air out their parents dirty laundry for them to use as ammunition against their parents.
what would they watch on tv when they’re bored and nothing they really like is on : All the cheesy romance shows – not reality TV – like soap operas. She’ll pick up wherever the show is at and will be invested.

Yes the guy was kind of clueless, but he was nowhere near stupid.
Which was why it was a bit strange that he didn’t really like the others all that much.
He’d imprinted on Edge, that was for certain. Edge knew that the day that he’d woken up with Leo sleeping on the end of his bed, sacked out in the worst possible sleeping position. Edge had only covered him up with a blanket and started his day, Leo screeching into the kitchen later to grab his bowl of oatmeal and the switch and set up on the couch where he could see Edge.
Why had he been homeless? Why was he eating out of the garbage? Why didn’t he care for Sans or Papyrus or Blue or Stretch?
Well, Stretch Edge could see, the guy was a little bit of an asshole on his bad days, but weren’t they all? The others, Edge really didn’t understand the inherent distrust… except maybe he did.
Thinking about it, Leo did give off the characteristics of a hurt and abandoned animal. He had sentience of course, the kid snoring like a chainsaw on his couch, drool falling from the corner of his mouth.
But he didn’t trust easily. Sure, he trusted Edge and Red with his life now, would even fight for them, if what Red had to say was true. But in the beginning? There was none. Edge was the person who fed him and told him where to go and what to do and that was the extent.
These days? Leo would bring over his switch to ask Edge what a certain type of flower was called on his game. Edge would pass by later to find the island covered in that type of flower, several different colors to be seen.
He’d been asking Red to help with grilling food, even though the fire clearly made him anxious. He’d successfully flipped a few of the steaks the last time it’d been warm enough to grill out, Red having an almost paternal look of pride on his face as Leo regaled Edge with his exploits of messing with the grill.
He was so different now… so much so that it made sense that he didn’t trust the other yet.
And upon that revelation, there was a knock at the door.
Edge sighed, setting down his pen and paper he’d been writing signatures on, heading for the door and noticing that Leo, while to the eye still asleep, was no longer obnoxiously snoring. Deciding to leave it be, Edge answered the door, finding Blue on the other side with a large tupperware box that smelled somewhat spicy.
“Hello Blue, what can I do for you? I’m afraid Red isn’t home.”
Blue flushed his namesake, Edge smirking a little as he waved his hand.
“I’m not here for my boyfriend, but thank you Edge.” Shuffling with his hands, he offered the tupperware. “Leo said over the phone with Red and I that he’d never been able to try anything hotter than a jalapeno, and I told him I’d make something suitably hot for him to try!”
Edge took the box, lifting the lid to find a glorious platter of nachos… with what smelled of habaneros scattered through the salsa.
“...Thank you, Blue. I’ll see that he tries it, at least. I’m not sure what his heat tolerance is yet.”
Blue winked, backing away as he started back down to his car. “No worries, I’m sure it’ll get eaten by someone!”
Edge chuckled, waving goodbye as Blue hopped into his car and backed down the driveway, watching to make sure he made it alright before turning back in the house. He had somewhat expected the sight of a still drooling Leo to find him, wide awake and crouched on the couch with his eyelights focused hard on the tupperware.
Edge sighed, but was definitely smiling as he beckoned Leo to follow him to the kitchen while he heated up a portion.
It didn’t really matter if Leo enjoyed the dish or not, seeing as how, like Blue had said, it’d get eaten either way.
What really mattered was the extended hand of companionship, and… it was something that Edge appreciated for something he cared so much about.

Like it's not especially mysterious or hard to fathom why (aside from run-of-the-mill puritanism) folks have Really Big Feelings about kink as a concept. We live in a (sexist racist homophobic transphobic etc) society. Quite a lot of people have had their sexual boundaries poked at and/or transgressed by someone (and "someone" is sometimes not even some specific individual but "society at large") claiming that [Sex Act XYZ] is normal/reasonable/no big deal, and therefore (explicitly or implicitly) obligatory. And when you have repeatedly received the message that your body does not fully belong to you, that your yes and no are valid only insofar as they align with others' reasonable expectations - well then it becomes EXTREMELY important to police the borders of what can be considered a reasonable expectation. Spoken or unspoken, the fear that people are giving voice to when they get pearl-clutchy about kink is often "You're saying all of this is normal - and therefore that I have to accommodate it if and when someone asks me for it."
That's not an unsympathetic fear! We live in a society that is not great with the concept of consent! If you're hearing "don't kinkshame" as "your no is invalid" (or if you've encountered someone who framed it that way, because those people do exist), then of course you're going to be anxious and angry about it!
Unfortunately you are also doing that very human thing of getting so deep in your feelings that you're arguing at cross-purposes. Because the ethic of safe sane & consensual kink is not "everything is normal" - it's that normal is a completely irrelevant metric. You want to get tied up? Cool, make sure everyone involved knows how to do restraints safely. You want to have sex without penetration, ever? Also cool. You like playing around with X sensation but not Y sensation? Cool. You get pantsfeelings (or for that matter completely nonsexual satisfaction feelings) out of shining someone's shoes? Cool. You enjoyed XYZ yesterday but you're not feeling it today? Cool. You get to choose. Your body belongs to you.

Cassandra’s Half-Assed Haute Cuisine in Quarantine: Hot and Horrific Chili Queso
Those of you who follow me on Twitter may have noticed that I’ve been posting some...let’s diplomatically call them ‘recipes’ for meals I make for myself, usually by combining other premade ingredients. I’ve decided to repost them here for a couple reasons:

@docholligay isn’t on Twitter and thus doesn’t have the opportunity to witness the horror of my culinary practices
I’m reversing the order somewhat and starting with my Hot and Horrific Chili Queso. It’s hot because it uses hot chili and it has habanero salsa in it. It’s horrific because it is rich, full of calories, and involves just, so much cheese. This would probably get me banned from any decent kitchen on the planet. You do not want to know how much of this I can eat in a sitting (but I will say it is at least not the full pot).
I’ve been trying to provide context and provenance for these dishes, because I do make a lot of stuff that as a white person of primarily Irish and Swedish extraction I can lay no claim to - I’m very fond of Tex-Mex in particular. In this case, I know this is a Tex-Mex dish, but I don’t have much provenance beyond that. It bears obvious similarities to chile con queso, but is somewhat meatier, more like a loaded queso or skillet queso you might fine in some restaurants or recipe books. And in fact I think that’s the origin of my variant: this is my refinement on a dish my family started making several years ago, I think in an attempt to replicate a loaded queso we’d had somewhere.
Here’s what you’re going to need:
Approximately 30 ounces of hot premade chili, ready to heat (I use Hormel’s Hot With Beans Chili; this is two cans)
Approximately 8 ounces of a hot salsa, preferably with habanero (I use Tostito’s Hot Habanero Salsa, appropriately, and this is around half the jar)
8 ounces soft cream cheese
16 ounces of mild cheddar cheese, freshly grated (you can also use pepper jack for a LITTLE extra kick)
Combine the chili, salsa, and cream cheese in a large saucepan and heat over medium heat on your range. Stir until fully blended and wait for the mixture to begin bubbling. Once it starts bubbling, begin adding the cheddar cheese, one handful at a time, stirring until blended each time. Once the last of the cheddar cheese has been fully stirred in, keep heating and stirring until the mixture is bubbling immediately whenever you stop stirring. Cover the pan immediately and turn off the heat. Add salt and pepper to taste and top with sour cream if desired. Serve with tortilla chips. Please also have a nice salad or something. You don’t have to make my life choices.

sweet, spicy or savory : sweet. I have a huuuuuuge sweet tooth when it comes to dark chocolate. Second runner up would be spicy. My spice tolerance is nowhere near my younger brothers who INHALE salsa made with habanero or jalapeño peppers but I’m better than most of my friends
bubbly water, tea or coffee : tea. But only when it is cold. In the warm months, like now, I just stick to plain old tap water
