He Lives

So, back in May (2023), I decided to pick up a knitting project and he is finally done! Meet, my son;

Now he's sulking

I used weight 4 yarn and 3mm straight needles for the body (it was hell), whereas the bow is weight 6 on 6mm needles. I had an old spiral crystal necklace that I didn't use, so he has an actual amethyst crystal for his magestone. He is around 40 or 50 centimetres tall, and very potato-shaped. He is potato-shaped so he can't run away from me or the crimes that he commits.

I didn't use a pattern for this, it was all eyeballed (I came to regret this when it came to the limbs). But I do have a very rough mock-up for a pattern (it's just shapes though).

To awaken him, I played Circle of Life and gifted him tuna. It was a whole-ass dance sequence.

Grim had a very fun Halloween!

I made his little vest and cuffs, and decorated a mini witch hat too. I attempted to sew the hat from scratch, but realized that was above my skill level, so I'll save that for another year.

Asking if yes or no, because if not, then I'll keep a eye out on resellers for his plush, if it happens...lol (hopefully he's not resold for a ridiculous price. else ain't worth it now.)

Formally introducing the new bears~

Tada! I have finally added Grim and Chenya to the shop!

Grim's bear was honesty harder than I thought it was going to be. I wasn't sure if I should stay faithful to his character design and put into a bear, or if I should try something new. In the end I decided to keep his bear to be more closely to his in-game design. Plus, unlike most of my bears, Grim has a smile on his face. You can even hear his little triumph through the screen.

In addition to Grim we now have Chenya's bear too! I honestly struggled on what color of purple I should have gone for because there were just so many shades. I'm very happy I went with this magenta kind of purple instead of a lighter shade. As I'm sure you can notice, Chenya has a ton of attachments onto his bear. Each of the items on his lower half is in connection to the patch work on his pants. The mushroom in his hand was actually supposed to be placed differently as well, but I felt it was better suited in his hand. On top of his little patch work we're greeted by his earrings and uneven bow tie. I chose an uneven bow tie instead of an even one as it had suited Chenya better. The only detail missing that I had really wanted to have was his hair clips. What do you think?
