going insane thinking about skk breakup dazai leaving the port mafia again because. he really just up and left without saying anything. not a word, not a goodbye, not a “chuuya would you like to come with me.” and he never said anything after. didn’t try to get in contact at all. no texts, no calls, no letters, no cryptic messages decipherable only to the both of them.
imagine being partners with someone. imagine forging a bond so strong that it’s been likened to a diamond sharpening another diamond. imagine spending three years with someone, forging a relationship, learning about each other and what makes them click and how to work together and how exist together.
imagine they throw it all in your face. they leave and not only do they leave, but they do so in a manner which shows that they never even considered you. they left as if your lives aren’t connected, they left as if it was the easiest thing in the world.
imagine everyone else finding out before you.
what was the past three years for then. what was them telling you that you gave them a reason to live for then. has it expired? has it run out? was it not enough? did they find something better?
and the lack of respect of it all. you never would have stopped them from leaving if they just explained why they had to. you would have been angry, you would have been pissed off because it’s the same story over and over again, you hurt everything you touch, you hurt everything you get close to, you’re never enough of a reason for someone to stay; but you would have understood. eventually. but they didn’t do that.
they wrote you so neatly out of their life that you wonder if you were ever a part of it in the first place.

desperately need people to understand that alicent is a victim but she’s also an abuser and a perpetrator
that she actively makes choices to harm other women because of jealousy and envy and the greed deep in her bones because submitting to suffering didn’t get her what those women fight to grasp for themselves.
she is absolutely a victim, in show.
that doesn’t change that she abused rhaenyra and her children, her own son, most likely helaena given how she flinches every time her mother touches her, and is actively weaponizing the patriarchy of westeros against other women- rhaenyra primarily, but also mysaria and dyana.
she isn’t the moral, righteous force of good that even she thinks she is, she’s a wounded woman directing all of the rot, pain, and fury inside her at the wrong people and forces.

honestly i am in love with how stede and ed are Our Heroes but they’re also middle aged men with unhappy lives behind them, people they have hurt either inadvertently or on purpose, and mistakes so large they can’t just pretend they never happened and move it on along.
stede was an emotionally unavailable husband, and a father who abandoned his children without saying goodbye; ed took the damage the world threw at him and made up things like the no pets rule.
we’re not supposed to write them off for those past sins. we know why and how they were damaged young, and we know trauma ground in early feels like normalcy and makes the coping skills needed to get through it that much harder to move beyond. but we’re not supposed to excuse them and create a narrative where there was never any other choice and they literally had to do harmful things, either; they had other choices, and they made these choices.
instead, it’s a lot more hopeful.
they made these choices and the world damaged them in these ways. they’ve gone where they’ve gone; they are where they are and who they are, and neither one of them are happy because of it.
so: the only thing left to do if they actually want to change it up is make new choices; admit their mistakes and face their flaws and love each other anyway, honestly, without excuses or condemnation.

Kiri and Mina hear Rose literally screaming insults so loud at his phone that they get ready to beat someone the fuck up . Phone call ends and Rose is huffing and puffing and clenching xeir fists and they ask her what's wrong what happened where do they live we just want to talk . Rose shows them the watch-history log of his and Shinso's shared acc and Mina and Kiri blink comically. Turns out Shinso watched 2 whole episodes of a show they always watch together despite SWEARING on his life he'd wait for her to finish class . Kiri is trying very hard to be sympathetic and Mina's giggling unabashedly

Ok so i finally watched part two of the library episode with River and the vashta nerada and all that (spoilers ahead?)
And oh boy Moffat that was foul. Rivers ending. Just absolutely pathetic. He put her. In the white dress, the dead wife white summer dress. And then put her on a green field and had some rando team members there too (also in white clothes??). And then. And then. He made her a mum. Can you get more heteronormative, more misogynistic.
He made her a mum to the little girl (and i did find the idea that she could tell her some of her stories to her very cute), but then also to the two made up little kids Donna had while in there, the apparently made up little kids because every actual person was saved you know. He made her a mum to three kids (two of those made up) for the rest of her existence.
And her whole character was all about adventure, independence, research. But no, she could not have a proper ending without being put into traditional gender norms. He probably only let her have as much fun as she did later because he already had her ending secured in the bag.
That is a fucking disgrace to her character, and frankly embarrassing for Moffat. Like he should be embarrassed, that the only peaceful ending he could imagine was rounding up any children lying about and stuffing them and her in a traditional nuclear family for eternity, nevermind that two of those children were actually imaginary and one was a few hundred years old, and she was never really the traditional mum type (confined to her home and offspring).
She also never stopped smiling in the epilogue, implying that she was truly happy then? As if that would fulfill her? She just died, she can show some bitter sweet emotion at least.
