I need to lean on the Gods more.

And by that, I don't mean becoming fully dependent on Them. I was raised by an open-minded mother, who guided us through the motions of Irish Catholicism because it's our heritage. And in this household, there was an overarching, unspoken rule: don't ask for more than you absolutely need. And even then, don't expect anything. Independence was the highest virtue, and I've only just realized how heavily it has affected my view of not only social bonds, but spirituality as well.

So that said...I need to learn to lean on the Gods more. I need to tell Them about my day. I need to ask Them to help soothe my ever-present anxiety. I need to trust that They're listening, that They hold my fragile mortality in Their hands with as much care as They're able.

I need to learn to ask, to vent, to communicate my needs...and trust that they will be heard.

I appreciate Nine. I empathize with him. I, like a lot of us (esp those of us with "invisible" disabilities and illnesses), was the kid who got bullied, who grew into a resentful antisocial teenager. Nine's resentment is completely understandable...but we know it's also avoidable because Tails exists.

Nine is a cautionary tale. Just the same as Tails is a success story. All because he got the support he needed. And it was enough to help Tails grow into a hero in his own right.

A lot of us are Nine. But don't forget that we still have Tails inside us, too.

And most importantly: we gotta be the Sonic in someone else's life. Even if it's just one person.

I like to think that edgeworth has a secret car playlist with songs like WAP and Cpr. Discreet/Practical Travel Altar: My Wallet!

Maybe it's just the Hermes devotee in me, but I love travel altars! I love how discreet they can be, but they can also have a practical use...which made me realize, my wallet is a travel altar devoted to Hermes!

The wallet itself can have a pattern and decorations reminiscent of a particular vibe, energy, spirit, deity...and prayer cards can double as idols without taking up too much space. Plus, anything you keep in it, like money, can be offerings!

I purchased the wallet a while ago from SewSophia--with the colors and map design of the fabric, it was the exact Hermes vibe I was looking for. I added a set of HearthfireHandiworks' bracelet prayer beads on the keyring, and the prayer card is the lovely work of WyrdCuriosities. I've had all these things together in this wallet for years, but it really has been a functional travel altar all this time, who knew! 🤣
