Chapter 28

The couple had a lovely dinner together. Audriana and Satan ate at HoL so it was just the two of them. This was an experience the couple didn't have the chance to experience often since becoming parents.

As the night fell and their children came home, the couple's alone time ended for a bit. Eventually, Satan retired to his room and the parents when to tuck their daughter into bed, making sure her weighted blanket was spread out just as she liked it (Satan suggested getting one for her a while back and it ended up being perfect for their little girl).

After reading her a bedtime story and kissing her goodnight, the couple trudged to their room after a long day.

Even once in bed, the woman couldn't sleep, not without recounting the conversation with her father to Lucifer.

The pride demon was right; the king knew something about Satan's condition. Sadly, it was nothing helpful.

Those were the king's words and Lucifer couldn't accept them.

Still, when Dia's eyes flooded with tears, he engulfed her in his arms without hesitation.

To hear how the discussion ended, with the king breaking the window and screaming at her to leave...it was just another hole in his heart.

"I'm sorry..." He nuzzled her neck. "I should have talked to him. I should have never--"

"It needed to be me." She told him. "My father wouldn't have told you anything. What I learned...it's not enough, but it's more than if I hadn't gone at all."

Lucifer placed his hand on her cheek.

"I won't leave you alone with him ever again." He promised. "I won't let him keep hurting you like that."

He slid his other hand under her night shirt and kept it over her stomach.

"I will protect you both."

"Lucifer..." She stared down at their hands. "Do you truly want our child? I just...I know my father pushed us into this and we had no choice but--"

Her fiancé kissed her, deeply and sweetly.

"How could I ever not want a child of ours?" He asked her. "With everything going on, the timing isn't exactly the best, but I can't deny how this child has already brought some wonderful things to our life."

He stared deeply into those golden eyes of hers that he treasured so deeply.

"After all, this baby helped me discover the woman I loved under all of her pain and fear."

And he meant what he said. With everything going on with his son and the fact that they basically just had Audriana, the man wouldn't have chosen this time for a third child.

Still, this child hasn't even been born and they've already bettered their parents' lives.

Their family was an odd mix of both blessed and cursed, but at least they were all together.

The next morning, Barbatos was at their door, here to help Diavolo get ready for her day.

The butler helped her pick one of her new dresses to wear then had her sit down so he could braid her hair (a looser braid this time. As beautiful as the one from last night was, the tightness on her scalp was a bit too much for her).

Lucifer watched as every little touch the butler laid on his fiancée was gentle but purposeful and brought a smile to the woman's face.

Barb brought comfort and peace to her heart and for that, the pride demon was grateful.

Once he was finished, Diavolo gushed at how beautiful it was, how beautiful it made her feel.

That's when a red flag was raised. The butler said he was glad she like it and told her that she didn't need to rush into work this morning, that she could have the morning off.

Barbatos was always stressing the importance of getting her paperwork done on time and not slacking.

Something felt...wrong to the Avatar of Pride.

Dia asked if he would do Audriana's hair just like hers so mother and daughter could match and of course the butler agreed.

As the mom left to go wake up her daughter, Lucifer turned to the other man.

"Somethings going on." He said, staring into the butler the eyes.

Barb said nothing and remained as composed as ever.

"Barbatos, if this affects my fiancée then you need to tell me so I can help her."

The butler pursed his lips. He thought about last night at dinner, how the man before him did not rush the princess to tell him what she learned from her father and instead gave her time to destress like she needed.

He stared at Lucifer, not as a butler protecting his Lady, but as an older brother protecting his sister

And still decided Lucifer was trustworthy enough to help.

"King Marik...is dying." The butler said simply. "That is why he woke up early; he does not want his daughter to know yet and I personally believe she cannot handle such news right now."

That...explained a lot. It did not excuse how the man treated and spoke to his daughter, but it at least helped the Avatar of Pride understand it better.

King Marik was a man running out of time and likely had some agenda he was trying to achieve before the last fleck of sand fell to the bottom of the hourglass, so to speak.

Diavolo had every right to know what was happening to her father...yet Barbatos was correct; she wouldn't be able to handle this news.

Not to mention her pregnancy and she really couldn't afford to be too stressed out right now. So much can go wrong in the first trimester and it would practically destroy the woman if she miscarried and lost the child, especially while knowing her father won't be here much longer.

So yes...Diavolo had every right to know...yet she can't. Not now.

The butler could tell from the look in Lucifer's eyes that he understood.

"We need to keep her as relaxed as possible for the time being." He insisted. "My lady needs only happy thoughts right now."

Luce pursed his lips, but nodded.

"Understood."

That was when the mom came in, carrying a half asleep Audri.

"Barbie, make me look pretty like Mama." The little girl yawned and rubbed her sleepy eyes.

"Of course, my dear." Barb smiled at the child.

It was Diavolo's smile that light up the room though. The woman looked so excited and carefree

And her fiancé must do everything to protect her and those good feelings inside of her.

Once the butler was done braiding Audriana's hair, the family went and had a nice breakfast together (though Satan was a bit late to joining them, but the parents forgave the troubled blonde quickly).

From there, the little family took a stroll through the garden, an activity the father managed to convince his son to partake in, to Audriana's pure zeal.

It was a mostly pleasant stroll, except for when the little girl almost got eaten by the giant Venus Flytrap 😅

Satan caught her though! Just before the plant reached out to snap her into its mouth.

The child, suprisely enough, wasn't the least bit scared. She giggled, told it 'silly leafy!' and asked Satan if they could do that again (and obviously got a hard no from her older brother, causing the child to pout).

Luckily, the stroll was otherwise calming and uneventful. And I guess...no harm, no foul? So overall, the family saw it as a pleasant time.

Then it was time for Audriana to start her schooling for the day. Barbatos came and led her back to the classroom while Satan decided to retire to his room.

Diavolo ended up deciding that she should probably get some work done and was thrilled when Lucifer offered to help her. In truth, the pride demon has been waiting to be able to get back into working and with Audriana being taught by Barbatos, the father finally had time to do just that.

The princess was incredibly happy to have her fiancé there to help her as she worked.

Lucifer say in the desk chair while his love sat on his lap. Like this, the princess always had the man's arms around her as she worked. It didn't make things easy for the man to do his own paperwork, but in truth, him being there was more for his love than it was about the papers.

Dia would often stop and say she needed more of his affection to continue this 'arduous task' of paperwork and her fiancé would give a small chuckle before indulging in each and every one of her requests.

When it was time for the man to leave so he could meet his son at the library, the woman had a tough time letting him go. She just felt so happy, so complete with him that she didn't want this time to end.

Leaving her was a slow process, every move he made needing to be accompanied by a kiss or sweet word towards his fiancée, but eventually he found him up and untangled from the woman, reluctantly leaving her side.

Still, she was happy. This day has been wonderful so far and she was grateful that Lucifer spent as much time with her as he did.

If she were to discover why he did though, about what he and her brother-figure were hiding...it would devastate her.

Her fiancé didn't like keeping secrets from her...but he was determined to protect her.

NEW STORY IDEA fem!zhongli x osial (genshin impact)

this idea was born when i read a few fics with female!zhongli and zhongli x osial pairing. there was one ending, where childe still tried to 'release' osial, not realizing that osial just sleeps. osial was awoken by childe but he didn't care and child was just standing here like this 🧍

i always liked genderbent characters/stories, because a good genderbend fanfic would test the limits of the canon gender and show the differences. and i really like that. so here i am, with female!zhongli x osial, because i didn't find much and wanted to contribute in this fandom.

warning: my bad english, i wrote this on my phone and didn’t edit it. maybe i will in the future

Zhongli or Morax, we'll go with Morax here, was known as a Lord of Geo before becoming an Archon. Now, Morax here is the daughter of Mother Earth. Tevyat has a Mother Earth and Father Sky, but both are rather absent, they don't really care for the gods, mortals or Celestia.

But Mother Earth did what she did best and created. She became a mother. She formed Morax, her only daughter by direct blood and the blood of the very first dragon (she kinda stole it, but the dragon didn't care when he noticed that Mother Earth took his blood). With that, Morax was born. She grew up below the surface, taught by her mother and her most loyal followers.

Thanks to her 'fathers' blood, she is kinda half dragon and can fully transform to a dragon. And thanks to her mother, she became a God of Geo. Unlike other existing Gods of Geo, her connection to earth was greater and deeper. Simply, she was the most powerful Geo goddess. After her mother of course.

Her mother raised her with a gentle heart, but also taught her to hide her soft side beneath a hard surface. But her social interacting was very limited, she only ever spoke to her mother and a few selected people. Which explains why she's so... emotionally and socially stunted.

As soon she leaves her birth place with her mother's blessing, she claims her first land. She gains allies, makes friends with Guizhong and becomes more well known. And so, the her nation is born.

Naturally, not everyone likes it, and one of them is Osial. He and the other gods heard of this Geo god and surprisingly (mostly because of morax' fashion choice (the white hood) and the fact she transforms into a dragon (yes, everyone immediately equals a powerful dragon to the male gender)) everyone believes, this Morax is a man. A god and not a goddess.

Well, that is until the first time Osial and Morax clash. He wants to claim the harbor Morax put under his protection, simply because he thinks that everything near to the sea is his. The moment he sees Morax' is a woman, he doesn't really care. But then he gets bashed and he pouts in his abode. Yeah and thinking back- he has a big fat crush on the Lady of Geo now. Not that he would tell anyone that.

And so, over the years, Osial and Morax clash and fight, but Osial never tries to kill her. Morax is very annoyed with this sea god and almost kills him several times, but somehow he always slips away.

That is, until Osial finally asks her out.

But Morax thinks he's joking and fights him off her lands again.

Osial jumps over his shadow and asks the adepti for help, because wtf- how can one be so dense. The adepti naturally already know of his simping, but they don't help him. They think he's not worthy.

Guizhong doesn't care about them and starts helping Osial to set up dates and getting gifts ready for Morax. But it will still take many hunderts of years until Morax finally accepts Osial's courting gifts.

And while this happens, Celestia officially makes Morax the Geo Archon. She still befriends Barbatos and yes, Osial was very jealous of the Anemo Archon.

Wanna know how they finally became a pair? It was Guizhong's last wish.

Guizhong still died, and she died in Morax' arms. She begged Morax to protect their nation, to protect the mortals and Morax replied she would do everything. So, Guizhong this sly bitch told her last wish. "Court Osial, allow him to love you-" yeah, this would be angsty.

And Morax? Angry and grieving over her friend's death followed all her last wishes, and marched up to Osial's abode, knocked down his door and was like: "You are allowed to court me now, so do it!"

Yeah, the beginning of their relationship was rocky. And they fought rather often and their fights always escalated into physical fights. But, they were both good for each other. The sea was calmer and the lands of Liyue were safer to travel for mortals.

And then finally, after another few hunderts of years, Osial and Morax married. But the marriage was private and considering, they were still clashing every few years, mortals AND gods of tevyat thought that Osial and Morax were archenemies.

Now, here are a few facts and tiny things for the story I'm never going to write.

The places where the sea and land meet, are not as jagged as in canon. Thanks to their clashing, but also Osial's 'longing', the water grinds down the stones/land.

Osial 'sleeps' regularly. He has a cycle, a time where he's aware and awake and a time, where he's in his abode, resting and 'recharging'. Because yes, Morax is more powerful than Osial, not only because she's an Archon, but also because she's the god damn daughter of Mother Earth. And Osial is still powerful, but their fights always tire him because he goes all out.

Over the years, their temperament and fights calmed down. Like a honeymoon couple slowly becoming the one old couple that has been together for over 50 years.

Osial spoils Morax. He knows that she's a hoarder (a true dragon after all) and he gifts her with anything he thinks is worthy of her attention. Her abode is like a dragon cave, filled with trinkets, rare ore, weapons, artifacts and many other things.

Morax joins the mortal world with another identity several times and Osial is always her sailor husband. And everytime her friends of that time or other people see them interact, they root from the sidelines. Because yes, Osial will snog Morax in front of everyone.

Sometimes, Morax joins her husband for a bit during his 'sleep'. She's then in her dragon form and Osial absolutely loves that, because she always purrs.

Xiao refers Osial as 'my Lord' but that's only because he knows that Osial makes his 'Mistress' happy. (And no, Xiao is not in this relationship, he just thinks Mistress is above my Lady and Morax deserves nothing but the highest respect)

The adepti always gossip over their gifts and dates. Always.

Out of all Archons, Morax interacts as an Archon the most with her nation. While yes, their traditions aka Rite of Descending, is still important, people can sometimes see her in her well known white hooded form standing on a random roof. She accepts her people offerings everytime they run up to her and accepts it with a soft smile. And sometimes, children or teenagers find the adepti with Morax and then ask to play. (They always say yes, and Moon Carver lets kids ride on his back)

Liyue knows that Ganyu is an adepti.

Morax is only referred as Rex Lapis in ceremonies, but if someone meets her face to face, they refer to her as 'my Lady' or Morax.

Tsaritsa and her stupid contract/plan to take Morax' gnosis fails. Morax steps a bit back from the mortal life as Geo Archon, but she doesn't tire of her responsibility as guardian of Liyue. Tsaritsa still tries to make a contract, fully knowing that Morax is Goddess of Contracts. All she got was a spear thrown at her.

But Tsaritsa doesn't give up and sends her Harbringers to Liyue, telling them to release Osial earlier than usual. (The few years of sleep sometimes go up to a hundert years, and people believe that Osial is too powerful for Morax' seals and always breaks them free, only to get banished again (and their last fight was just ten years ago)) So Childe still forges the Sigils of Permission, while Xiao follows him in the shadows.

Tsaritsa thinks her plans are working and she's tricking everyone, but Morax knew when her Harbirngers entered Liyue. So she humors them, watching how they plan to take Liyue down and then steal her gnosis in the whole chaos (jokes on them, she long parted from her gnosis, it's deeply burried and protected by her mother, no mortal nor god will ever touch her gnosis until she wills it)

So when Childe finally tries to release Osial, Osial rises, but he doesn't attack Liyue Harbor. No, instead he proceeds to trash talk Childe. Because, he was sleeping, who dares to interrupt his precious sleep?? And second, Morax told him of this mortal who spends Mora on her, despite knowing that her husband is still alive if only away. Naturally, whole Liyue proceeds to hear him and throws the Fatui out, as soon Osial went back to his abode. Cue- Osial yeeting Childe into a stone pillar (instead the traveler)

"Who dares to summon me? A MORTAL? Hah- No, what I see is an monster of the Abyss, I already have told you I do not want any business with you. LEAVE! Or you will bring Morax‘ Wrath on both of us and it is too early for this!“

Yeah… people really don’t want some abyss monster that looks human in their country.

ObeyMAX - Days 1 - 4

Days 1 - 4: Demons & Angels - LA Takeover Headcanons

Scenario: What if AnimeExpo wasn't cancelled, and MC invited our favorite demons and angels to the Human Realm to enjoy the convention?

Lucifer

He'll most likely remain in the hotel for the first day.

Probably the rest of the time, too.

Of course, he will eventually come out to join the others - likely after some convincing.

But the most he'd do is wander about the convention center, making sure his brothers aren't getting into any trouble.

Honestly, he'd probably be watching mostly Mammon from a distance.

Mammon

This boy is going to get thrown out the convention eventually.

If not by the convention itself, Lucifer definitely will.

This boy trying to steal from the vendors.

Alternatively, he buys some merch and attempts to sell them to people at higher prices than what he paid, claiming to be a "wandering vendor without a booth".

Lucifer then whoops his ass back at the hotel.

Leviathan

Take a wild guess: This boy is in Otaku HEAVEN!

He is in his absolute element, hitting up every booth and asking to take pictures of as many extremely detailed cosplayers as he can find.

By the end he looks like the living embodiment of the convention, and it's only Day 1.

100% Willing to stand in line for however long he has to for everything.

Probably would cosplay as genderbent Ruri-chan...who am I kidding, he would wear a dress.

Satan

He'd probably stay around at the con for a while, but head to the hotel to read some manga he bought.

Not really is thing, but he does find himself getting into a few titles.

If he enjoys it enough, he may return to the con to see if he can get his copy signed.

He would then threaten Mammon and Levi if either attempted to get their hands on his stuff.

The long lines would probably annoy the hell out of him.

Asmodeus

Absolutely beelined to the 18+ area.

Lucifer has to remind him more than once to keep his hands to himself, because cosplay does not equal consent to try and cop feels.

Shamelessly buys hentai videos with the full intention to watch them with MC.

Mammon shut down that plan immediately after hearing about it.

Most likely to photobomb cosplayers.

Beelzebub

He and Belphie naturally stick together throughout the entire con.

If either one of them leaves, he will tag along with them so he can go take a nap back at the hotel.

Hell, even without them, he'd probably go back to sleep at the hotel with the peace and quiet of all of them not being there.

However, he runs the risk of potentially having to babysit Luke by doing that.

So he has to fake going along with them and slipping away when he can.

Diavolo

Perfect opportunity to interact with and learn more about humans.

This man came into the convention looking 100% like your stereotypical tourist, to the point people question if he's in some sorta cosplay. He has no idea what cosplay is, but fully rolls with it if people ask for pictures.

He's a little confused, but he's got the spirit!

May take inspiration to have a convention similar to this in the Devildom.

Levi 100% backs the idea.

Barbatos

As usual, he stays at Diavolo's side the entire time.

Likely would help in carrying anything Diavolo buys at the convention.

Constantly stopped and asked for pictures because of his uniform. Most of time, he doesn't really mind.

Makes sure to have all the convention-going essentials (water, snacks, etc.) just in case.

Quick to point out to Diavolo that Sebastian Michaelis looks a lot like Lucifer, and body pillows exist. Lucifer silently gives him a death glare as Diavolo suggests looking into someone who can make him a Lucifer body pillow.

Simeon

He mainly stays near MC, because he has no idea what to do at the con.

He does enjoy a lot of the cosplays, and takes interest in the books and mangas there.

Makes sure Luke stays safely nearby, but is amused when fellow guests stop them to take pictures and gush about how cute Luke is.

Learns how to take pictures himself on the D.D.D. because he wants to remember the day in the Human Realm.

He wonders what it would be like if the Devildom or Celestial Realm had a convention where he could have a booth for TSL…

Luke

At first didn't really want to go, but since Simeon and MC were going, he tagged along.

He's extremely wary of any cosplayers that are dressed up as demons, but gets really happy when seeing angel/angelic cosplayers.

Gets stopped multiple times by guests who find him absolutely adorable and ask him who he's cosplaying as. He ends up stuttering, much to the amusement of Simeon.

Someone save this poor child, some of these cosplays scare him.

He'd probably stay the first day, but then refuse to leave the hotel for the remainder of the convention.

It was the next day when Diavolo was scheduled to speak with her father. She had Barbatos let her father know that she had something urgent to speak with him about and the faithful butler managed to convince her father to hear her out

And so the nervous daughter was on her way to her father's room. Since this was just a family conversation between father and child, the king saw no need to bring the talking to the throne room, hence why she was on the way to his room.

Her father...despite the fact that he spent hundreds of years asleep, the man rarely ever left his room and that concerned his daughter to no end

Yet this visit wasn't about that; it couldn't be. Lucifer and Satan are counting on her to collect whatever information her father has on the blonde's condition and she can't let them down.

Lucifer wanted to come with her, or at least walk with her to her father's room, but the woman felt that she needed to do this on her own. Her fiancé was sweet, but she was still a grown woman who can handle things on her own...even if her father had a way of making her feel like a helpless child.

Diavolo stopped outside of of her father's room, arm raised to knock.

But she didn't. Her father's words rang through her head and suddenly the princess couldn't breath.

She was just an embarrassment to this man that she craved love from her entire life. The more she found herself living more openly, more true to who she was, the more her father seemed to hate her

But she also thought of Satan, of that poor young man who was desperately clinging to life, to his father and sister

And Dia couldn't let him down.

The woman took a moment to breathe through her panic before knocking on the door and stepping inside.

"Father."

The man was by the window, staring out with his back to his daughter.

"I said didn't want to see you in this form." He said curtly. "Say what you need and leave."

Dia stared at him for a long moment before regaining her ability to speak.

"I...I have recently learnt that you might have some answers to my stepson's... condition." She watched her father's body tense at her words. "Please, if there is anything you can tell me--"

"There is nothing to say. He will die as all soul-shatters do."

"What do you know about him? About...people like him and my daughter--"

"Neither are your children." He scolded her in his gruff voice. "The sooner you accept that, the better--"

"But what do you know?" She stressed. "What do you know about beings like them? About these 'soul-shatters'--"

"They are beings born to alleviate the pain from those around them...most importantly the 'parent' they broke free from." The king's voice practically dripped with venom as he spoke. "They live. They suffer. They die...whether by their own hands or by the 'condition' the Avatar of Wrath suffers from."

"What...what is the condition? Do you know more than what the doctor told us?"

Silence.

"Father?"

"They are beings centered around emotion." He said slowly. "They need a specific feeling to occupy themselves with; they need the pain that comes with it. They spend their entire existence craving peace from the excruciating pain they feel...just to discover peace is the most deadly thing for them to feel."

The king shook his head, back still facing his daughter.

"It is not a 'condition'; it simply their way of being. They live. They suffer. They die. That is the way of the soul-shatters and the sooner you accept that, the sooner you can protect yourself from the inevitable loss--"

"But I need to save him." She insisted. "Father please--"

"Those brats will die!" He turned towards her as he screamed this. "The sooner you accept this, the sooner you can move on--"

The father froze, trying hard to gain control of his breathing as he stared at the one he knew as his son, but looked so painfully like his late wife...all except for the golden eyes that matched his own.

To see this person who looked so much like his wife stare so tearfully afraid of him...it was too much for the man.

He turned his back on his daughter once more.

"Leave. Now." He warned in a low voice.

When he saw his daughter's reflection in the window still showing her frozen to the spot, the man swung his fist against the window, shattering it instantly.

"I SAID LEAVE!"

The woman ran from the room and down the hall till eventually she just tripped and left herself on the ground, on her hands and knees, sobbing.

In that moment, she was not a grown woman who left an argument with her father; she was a child whose father made her whole world fall apart yet again.

To hear that it was just 'in their nature' to suffer and die, that nothing could be done, that both Satan and then someday Audriana will die in such a fashion and there was not a single thing for the mother to do for her children....

It broke her.

The woman screamed, sobbed, pulled hair right off her head

And was oblivious to the man approaching her till he knelt down in front of her and raised her head with a gloved hand.

"Princess, you need to breathe."

Barbatos pulled out his handkerchief and started wiping the tears and snot from the woman's face.

Suddenly, the princess launched herself at her butler, causing the the man to be pushed back.

Arms around him, Dia hid her face into Barb's chest and sobbed.

"I can't save them..." She cried. "They're going to leave me...everyone's going to leave me..."

Barbatos held her close for a minute. This man was more than a butler to her; he was like a big brother. She has known him since she was five, the same age Audriana appears to be at.

When her father treated her coldly, it was Barb's arms that warmed her. This man was her safe place as a child, always loving and accepting her for who she was.

Ever observant, it was Barb who first noticed the girl inside of her; Dia was far too sheltered to recognize it on her own, but Barb saw this and accepted her for who she was, leading her to have some peace within herself.

With how her father was and her mother being dead...this man was the only family Dia had when she was young.

After a bit, the butler pushed them both up to lean against the wall before bringing a hand to her face, guiding a few stray hairs back behind her ear

Diavolo sniffled before Barb put both hands on her arms and helped the woman to her feet.

"No one's going to leave you." He promised, his calm aura just as comforting now as it was as a child. "Now, let's go wash the tears off of your face before we leave."

"Where are we going?" The woman asked, wiping the tears from her cheeks.

"I'd rather surprise you," He smiled at her. "But it will give you a sense of peace, my Lady."

Barb and Diavolo were gone for a few hours.

When she never came back after talking with the king, Lucifer became anxious and that anxiety grew.

Eventually he did call Barb and was informed that the two were out, but the butler would not elaborate on the matter.

This did not help the man's anxiety. He needed his fiancée here, in his arms where he could comforted her from whatever horrible things he just knew her father spewed at her.

It wasn't until later that evening when Barbatos texted him to come to the dining room.

The man rushed there, hoping to see Diavolo

And he did.

In her usual seat, Dia was sitting nervously, tugging on her newly braided hair and wearing a long, elegant black to red ombre dress.

"My lord." Barbatos greeted him and with a motion of his hand, invited the Avatar of Pride to sit down with the princess.

Confused, but admittedly entranced by the blush over his fiancée cheeks, he slowly sat down at the table.

As Barbatos left to retrieve the food, Lucifer leaned towards his fiancée.

"Love, what is this all about?"

The princess continued to play with her braid.

"I...I'm not sure." She gave a nervous laugh. "I...I was pretty distraught after talking to my father and...Barbatos found me and thought I needed something to lift my mood...then we ran into Asmo and it became this whole thing..."

The princess finally looked up from her braid and to her fiancée.

"Do...do I looked alright?" She asked, blush darkening on her cheeks.

This was first time Lucifer has seen her wear such...feminine clothes since she changed her form.

The pride demon let out a small huff, gently smiling at the woman next to him.

"Love...your beauty is overwhelming, as always."

Her smile softened at his words just as Barb brought in the food.

After a moment, it fell though.

"Don't...don't you want to hear about what my father told me?"

Barbatos frowned at her words, but said nothing as the pride demon spoke.

"No, love." Luce shook his head. "I...I can tell you had a hard conversation with your father. Whatever he told you, it can wait till later. For now...it's just good for you to relax; for us to relax."

Barbatos smiled at this; it seemed he had nothing more to worry about for the time being.
