I can't believe nobody else is talking about how Splatoon: Side Order not only confirms souls are a real thing in that universe, but they're also like, a physical substance? Marina says there's a "structure" that contains the soul. Inkfish have a designated Soul Organ.
Additionally, what I've gathered from Marina's explanation of sanitization is that this soul organ is saturated with memory and identity - literally Ego Juice - which can be siphoned out of the organ like drying a sponge. And then the Ego Juice can be molded into a solid, tangible object, aka mem cakes. What the hell?

Where the fuck is your pfp from you're like the second person I've seen to have that exact computer with wings, arrow, and heart
the only difference is yours is red and the other person's is a different color
I originally found it on a website (or maybe a blog?) that dumped a lot of "old web graphics" as a gif a while back, and I quickly became obsessed with it.
I don't know where the original gif is from, but the oldest instance of it that I can find online is from 2008! While searching around, I found that it most often appeared on websites written in Spanish. Interesting!
^ here is the fullest version of the gif that I can find.

wanna know the most fucked up fact about Corruption?
using it never actually killed the target.
Lovecraft was blasted to pieces but showed up fine a while later.
The Dead Apple dragon was disintegrated but Shibusawa got up a few minutes after to fight Atsushi and the gang.
In the DA prologue, despite using Corruption, Shibusawa was not really killed, since he shows up later, now was he?
Guivre in SB was also vanquished, and Verlaine should have died, but Rimbaud came in last second and saved him anyway.
Even when Rimbaud accidentally released Arahabaki in Fifteen, it wasn't enough to kill him or Verlaine, and it didn't even destroy the lab enough for it to never come up again. And when Verlaine forced its activation in SB, there simply was no enemy to defeat.
Sure it most definitely killed people (grunts, scientists and bystanders for example) and it does get the job done for defeating the enemy, but it never actually kills the threat it was primarily used for. And that's messed up in ways I can't quite put into words.
