[ID: A digital illustration of Sissel from Ghost Trick. He is shown from a lower angle, as if the viewer were looking up at him. He has a hand close to the viewer and clutching a glowing soul core. His other hand is in his pocket, and he has a serious expression on his face. The background is the clock that appears when you time travel in the game, consisting of a glowing red clock face and glowing red lines radiating from it on a black background. The art style mimics that of the game’s, with sharp black lines and shading. The color palette is mostly red, with some light blue radiating from the soul. The artist’s signature “sunnfish 2023” is written on his leg. /End ID]

Surrender + punishment + "final warning"
@whumpril day 29
Warnings: torture (I think it's mild but I've also read it a few times so it might just be mild to me), murder (mentioned)
Villain, sidekick and hero
1334 words (woah that's a lot)
---
“Listen, Villain!” Hero shouts from outside, “If you come out right now, I can make it a lot easier for you. If you don’t…I can’t promise anything.”
Villain presses against the wall next to the window, peeking past the windowsill and at the barrage of policemen and Hero’s team. His breath comes out in bursts, making the curtains ripple with every exhale. Hero stands in the front of everybody else, hands held high with worry etched on her face.
“This is your final warning, Villain!” she shouts again. “We’re coming in.”
He curses and shakes his head, holding his hands up and coming in front of the window so they can see him. Hero deflates in relief and lowers her hands, everyone behind her lowers their weapons.
“Just come out, then we can take you in and work something out.” She says, her voice booming through the window pane.
He nods and while he walks to the door, Sidekick makes his way into Hero’s ear, “What are we actually going to do? There’s no way he’s ever going to get out of here alive, right?”
Hero turns to him, eyes wide, “He gave himself up. I’m keeping my word. We’ll take him back to base and figure it out there.”
Sidekick hangs his head and takes a step back just as Villain opens the door. He drops his weapon on the ground and stands in front of the building. “What now?”
“I’m going to cuff you and take you to our base.” Hero says loudly.
He stands still as Hero pats him down and clamps the handcuffs on his wrists, wincing when she grazes over an old wound. She ushers him to a police car, pushes him into the seat and closes the door.
Villain stares forward, slumped in the seat. Sidekick glares at the back of Villain’s head, wishing more than anything that he had laser shooting capabilities.
Hero thanks an officer and walks to her car, leaving Sidekick behind her to make his own way to base, like she always did. Once she was out of eyeview, Sidekick walks up to the same officer and leans against her car.
“Hey, I just got a call from Hero and she actually wants me to take Villain.”
Her face lights up, “Oh! Thank god! Don’t tell her this, but I didn’t want to be alone in my car with him. Do you need help getting him into your car or…”
“I was hoping I could borrow yours, actually.” he cuts her off.
“Oh.”
“If that’s alright, of course.” he smiles.
She shakes her head, “Don’t be silly, of course that’s fine. Make sure you get it back to me, though.” then she playfully adds, “I know where you work.”
He smiles again and takes the keys from her, “I’ll bring it back with a full tank.”
He climbs into the car and adjusts the mirror to look at Villain. “Change of plans.”
Villain’s blood runs cold. He stares out of the window at the officer that was supposed to be driving him. He catches her eye and stares at her, trying his best to not look terrified when he shakes his head, silently pleading with her to stop Sidekick from driving away.
“Let’s go.”
They arrive at an abandoned warehouse after nearly two hours of driving. Sidekick stares back at Villain and smirks, “We’re here.”
He drags Villain out of the back of the car and throws him against the wall, letting him fall to the floor.
Villain clambers back, trying to put as much distance between him and Sidekick as he can. Sidekick stalks forward, eyes burning with something Villain can’t quite place but that scares the shit out of him.
Villain’s back hits the wall and Sidekick steers him into the corner, “Nowhere to go.”
“Why are you doing this?” Villain asks.
Sidekick frowns and squats down in front of him, “Hero wasn’t going to. She was going to make a deal with you. You’d probably get to end up living with us until you died. I couldn't do anything about that. But right now? I can ruin you. And any future you might have.”
He smiles, pats Villain’s cheek and stands back up, swiftly kicking Villain in the ribs.
Villain doubles over and wraps his arms around his chest, gasping at the sudden pain. Sidekick lands another blow, this time breaking the skin on Villain’s forearm.
“Stand up.” Sidekick spits.
Villain curls into himself and shakes his head, cradling his bleeding arm gently against himself. Sidekick scoffs and kicks him again, this time his shin.
“Oh, one second.” Sidekick says, taking his phone out of his pocket, “I have to take this. Not a sound, got it?”
He stands over Villain, his boot digging into his thigh to keep him pinned in place.
“Hero?” he leans against the wall and listens intently, “Oh, that’s horrible!...no, no, you stay there. I’ll find him, don’t worry…sure thing…bye.”
He waits for Hero to end the call and puts the phone back in his pocket before lifting his boot off of Villain.
He gasps, rolling onto his stomach and pushing himself up with his hands to catch his breath. Sidekick pushes him against the wall and holds him there. “Apparently Hero’s more worried about you than I was expecting. So we have to go.” he digs his palm into Villain’s chest and leers at him, “We have to get our story straight, don’t we?”
Sidekick grips Villain’s collar and digs his thumb into his clavicle to lead him back to the car. He pushes him into the backseat and slams the door, nearly clamping down on Villain’s calf.
Sidekick gets back in the car and starts it, blasting the music and rolling the windows all the way down. Villain curls up on the floor of the car and waits.
Hero runs out of the building and throws her arms around Sidekick, “Thank goodness you’re back! Where was he?”
Sidekick pulls away from her and puts his hands on her shoulders, “That officer you sent him with? She thought he deserved more than a slap on the wrist. She was gonna kill him. I found them just in time.”
Hero’s mouth hangs open loosely and she shakes her head, “Where is she?”
He shakes his head, “Villain fought back.” He closes his eyes and hangs his head, “She didn’t make it.”
Hero pulls away and shakes her head, “No, no. That-that’s not-no.” She looks up at him, rage burning in her eyes, “Where is he?”
Sidekick opens the car door and Villain nearly falls out. He grabs onto the seat cover and barely manages to pull himself back into the car. Hero stares at him, her gaze…softening? Sidekick grabs Villain’s shirt and drags him out of the car, throwing him onto the ground in front of Hero.
“Tell her what you told me.” he spits, nudging Villain with his foot.
Villain’s breath comes out in shallow gasps and he looks up at her, “I-”
“Go on…”
Hero glares at Sidekick, shutting him up with once glance. She kneels in front of him and helps him sit up. Villain stares at her, she keeps hold of his hand, squeezing it just enough so that he doesn’t forget about it. She nods and rolls back on her heels.
“I didn’t want to.”
Sidekick spits, “That’s not what you told me.” He grabs a fistful of hair and makes Villain look at him. “Tell her exactly what you told me.”
“That’s enough, Sidekick.” Hero snaps. She jumps to her feet and gets in his face, putting herself between him and Villain. “Why don’t you go take a walk?”
Sidekick scowls at her, his chest heaving with every breath he takes. She stands her ground, looking at him with her arms at her side and her breathing even.
“Fine.”
He storms off and Hero kneels back down in front of Villain. “What happened?”
And he tells her.

Good evening. I have made a move that will probably help me. Thanks to you know who, only people I follow can DM me on here! I always hated DMs because of random sick people bothering me! And this week was just the final nail in the coffin.😒
Also, I'm getting so tired of s*x bots messaging me.🙄
Maybe I won? But no, I want to be 100% sure. So report that "you know who" off the face of the earth like heck! I will never forgive him for what he's done. I have done nothing to him. And he comes at me, threatens me, insults me, and hurts me! What he sent me a few days ago regarding my girlfriend was so not ok! You don't mess with our bond! I don't know what your problem is, but please seek help! That man must be punished. I don't care. He hurt me. Made me paranoid. He better leave me alone. If he doesn't, there will be serious consequences. I want him locked up for his disgusting behavior! He has wasted my time.😒
Please report the heck out of him! He ruined his own life doing this.🤷‍♂️
I have done nothing! I just turned down an art trade offer. That's nothing to get so upset and evil about.🤦‍♂️
If he wants to prove that he's sorry, he has 2 choices, delete that post he made about me and block me back so I don't have to see him again and we can sweep this under the rug and move on with our lives, or delete his blog entirely and turn himself in! I ain't playing! I'm done!😐
This is his FINAL WARNING. If he bothers me again, I swear I'll get him back. Give him a taste of his own medicine see how he likes it. I don't know how, but I will!😏
Leave me alone "you know who", or you'll regret the day you ever messed with me.😐

Yet I am full of the wrath of Jehovah; / I am weary of holding it in. / Pour it out upon the children in the street / And upon the assembly of the young men together; / For even the husband with the wife will be taken; / The old man, with the one who is full of days. — Jeremiah 6:11 | Recovery Version (REC) The Recovery Version of the Holy Bible © 2009 Living Stream Ministry. Whumpril Day 29
“Final Warning”
Spoiler: This is an excerpt from Doomsday
“Stand down,” Hunter orders sharply. He’s not holding his blaster, though the hand not holding a helmet – that would also look wrong on him – is much too close to it.
“What’s happening?” Wrecker asks, though he doesn’t move to put down his blaster.
“You’re traitors,” the sergeant replies – is that what he still is with the Empire? “Surrender.”
For a long moment, no one moves.
And for the first time in his life, Crosshair genuinely has no idea what to do.
Clones were never trained to question orders. They all have in the past, but it was never anything like this. Their orders were never blatantly wrong. And to have Hunter standing here against them, ordering them to surrender to the Empire, to stay with it – he has no idea what to do. They have never refused an order from Hunter before. They have never had to.
But they cannot stay with the Empire – there’s not even a question of that, after they know what happened on Onderon was intentional.
But Hunter is their older brother, who’s watched their backs from the time they were little – really, throughout their entire lives – and they have never had a reason to question his orders.
Instincts tell him to follow Hunter’s orders as they always have. All of them respect him, look up to him as their leader. To refuse that is… it feels wrong.
But there’s nothing else they can do.
“What’s wrong with you?” Echo demands finally, furiously. Of everyone, he’s the only one who’s angry enough to lash out. “You saw what happened on Onderon. You know it’s wrong.”
“And you disobeyed orders,” Hunter throws back, undeterred.
“We did what was right,” Crosshair interjects, “Like you always did.” His hands tighten over his rifle. It’s almost a guarantee now, that this will end in a fight. They can’t stay, and Hunter won’t willingly leave.
“There’s more here than you don’t understand.” Hunter’s gaze sweeps across them, but even Wrecker is standing unmoved. “Now, surrender.”
Echo glances at them, subtly enough to avoid alerting the regs, but Hunter is sure to have seen it. “No,” he replies finally, being the voice for all of them.
Hunter’s gaze moves to Wrecker and Crosshair, awaiting their response. The angry – and hurt – look on Wrecker’s face is enough of an answer.
Crosshair stares back at him through his helmet, knowing Hunter can feel the weight of his glare. None of this makes sense. Their brother shouldn’t have turned on them, but that’s exactly what he is doing. He’s standing against them and everything they fought for. Maybe any other time, he would have taken the time to remember what Tech had send in their barracks, but now – now, after they all know exactly what the Empire did, knowing that Hunter is willing to stand for it, he doesn’t. Now? He’s just angry.
Hunter’s hand is slowly moving for his blaster. “One last chance,” he says.
No one moves.
