Nicky Valentino (from Fictif) is an absolute comfort character for me, which means I’ve collected some information about him!

I just feel like I need to share what I’ve gathered with others who might be interested! Feel free to comment any other facts/headcannons/etc you guys have, I love to hear what other people think or picked up!

First off, here is a list of actual facts that can be found in the story or stated by the authors of TATW:

* The story takes place some time after April 1925 (cause Nicky knew about The Great Gatsby), but before August 1929 (because the story takes place before The Great Depression) - which is a 4 year 4 month time difference

* Possibly before 1928 (which is when phones changed from the candlestick) — that would make it a 3 year time gap

* He keeps a small tin of dog treats in his breast pocket incase he stumbles upon a stray

* There was a 3 year age gap between him and his sister

* His birthday is on November 12th.

* Nicky's favourite animal is the wolf.

* Nicky’s zodiac is Scorpio.

* His favourite colour is blue.

* His favourite alcoholic drink is whiskey.

* His favourite dishes are lobster, PB&J and anything made by MC.

* His favourite books are This Side Of Paradise and The Sun Also Rises.

* He was born in Sicily, Italy. Grew up in South Brooklyn

* Nicky is Catholic.

* His crimes include bootlegging, racketeering, obstruction of justice and loansharking.

* He did not enjoy his first time.

* His first kiss was when he was 15.

* His celebrity crush is Gloria Swanson.

* His dad kicked him out of the house for dressing like a gangster.

* He used to shine shoes as a teenager.

* In Chapter 9, two of his other henchmen are named/called Johnnyboy and Richie.

* In Chapter 10, it's revealed that he has made several charitable donations to a homeless shelter, a boys and girls club, and the church he went to as a kid.

* HE SINGS SWANEE TO MC WHILE THEY DANCE ON A BRIDGE AT NIGHT (I absolutely adore this song, so I about passed out when I read this scene lol)

* He is big reader and likes to learn from the books

* He grew up with big dogs

* If he wasn’t a gangster he would own a dog rescue center or be a model

* He is left handed

* His parents are from the country

* He had lots of nightmares as a kid

* His sister, Sofia, loved daisies

* This man straight up had flower crowns for us to wear and dance in before the wedding (I’d like to think he made them with the help of a maid who taught him)

Now some of my personal headcannons:

* When Mc and him are riding together he sits in the seat diagonal to the driver, cause that is the most dangerous seat in the mob world

* An Italian pet name Nicky calls MC is ‘Cara Mia’ which translates to my dear

* If Nicky and Mc have a daughter they would name her Sofia in memory his little sister.

* Definitely has some children’s books scattered among his bookshelf, considering he said…

* He would most definitely do that thing where his kid stands on top of his feet and then dances them around the room

* Would be so down to adopt kids. Growing up on the streets, and having a horrible father, make him want to help all of the children in a similar position

* Would definitely want a big Italian family (if Mc was also down) cause he find family so important, and it makes him so happy to see their children. If Mc only wanted one kid though he would totally be fine, he is just so soft for the family dynamic and his kids

* (Ultrasounds weren’t a thing until the 1950’s, but let’s say they were created sooner) Nick would 110% tear up/cry seeing the first ultrasound, and once the baby is born and in Mc/his hands for the first time

* He LIVES for the cute domestic stuff. Like just cuddling and/or talking: ✅ Washing dishes together: sold! Making breakfast for Mc/together: a must!

* Nick has bi-wife energy and no one can convince me otherwise

* This man’s love language is 110% acts of service

He absolutely, like absolutely ADORES you.

He like seeing you getting along with stranger's kids pretty well.

Like when you two are just taking a walk and saw a baby looking at you funny from their parent's shoulder, you'd playfully wave at them and play peekaboo as they let out a surprised giggle. You chuckled quietly to yourself so you don't interrupt the parent.

Nicky finds it REALLY ADORABLE like "with our kid when 🧎"

Or also when he held a charity event, he saw you kneeling down to the kids' level and talking softly to them with your softness in your eyes just makes his heart MELT

You befriended with a lot of neighborhood kids and they ADORES you as much as he does.

You're so friendly and welcoming but they didn't saw that at first until you truly show to them that your intentions are good.

Sometimes you don't wanna follow Nicky with his business just to hang out with the kids. He later found you playing ball with them a few blocks away.

Seeing you laughing when they beat you and cheering + high-fiving them when your team wins just makes him fall in love with you again.

Sometimes Chris joined you and thus begin the big match between two teams >:)

The other day you and Nicky roaming around town to get some fresh air, some kids walked by and their eyes immediately lighted up when they saw you.

"Hi y/n!" they excitedly waved at you. A bit surprised to stumbled through them, you gladly waved and hey them back.

Now you can't tell me that Nicky ain't feelin' a bit envious for your charm for those rugrats. He didn't look that intimating but you make it look like it's so easy he can't help it.

Also hear me out. Imagine those kids. YOUR kids. Getting into trouble and you saved them by defending them before the police or any adults beat em up for stealing and pay for whatever damage to leave the kids alone since you're practically rich.

When Nicky heard about tis, boy I'd be lying saying this man won't get down on his knee and propose you right there and then again-

If you're babysitting a younger sibling, niece/nephew or friend's kid beware that the ex mob boss will have eyes on you. He'd help you ofc but you seem to have it under control so he just admiring you with your natural talent as he dream you did the same to his kids.

Speaking of his kids, either of you gonna bring up the topic. Doesn't matter who did it first it's never not gonna be exciting.

You two could talk about it all day. About having as many as you want as your own and what you're gonna name them.

A = Aftercare (What they’re like after sex)

Felix gets affectionate. He likes cuddling up to you after you’ve done the deed. He’ll likely be quite as well. Not because he didn’t like the experience or anything, but because he just likes bathing in the aftermath of the euphoric experience and enjoying your warmth and embrace. He will be that way for a little while afterwards, too. He will also be sure to check in with you to see how you’re doing.

F = Favourite Position (This goes without saying. Will probably include a visual)

Felix being the romantic he is prefers spooning and the classic missionary as his go-to positions. It allows him to feel closer to his partner and to still be able to kiss them and gaze into their eyes. But as he gets more comfortable with his partner, he is ready and willing to switch it up and try new things. 

G = Goofy (Are they more serious in the moment, or are they humorous, etc)

When Felix is comfortable doing the deed and is comfortable with who he is with, he can be a bit goofy. The carpets definitely match the drapes. He also likes to keep himself somewhat groomed down there. He’ll trim a bit off to make it more tidy and nice. His hair doesn’t grow very fast, though, so this isn’t something he does often. 

Doesn’t care whether his partner is shaven, groomed, untamed, or anything down there. He’s cool with anything.

I = Intimacy (How are they during the moment, romantic aspect…) 

Felix is always very into it. He is careful and gentle, even when it’s rough sex, or you’re playing to each other’s more intense kinks. He tries to make it as special and loving each time. Will only really go “all out” for the romance on special occasions (like roses, candles, that sorta stuff).

Giving the LL fans what they need, an AU to think about. This correlates with Ayanna’s warning to Anisa about the MC being from Earth.

What if the main 3 finding out LoS was from Earth made them turn against the MC? They can’t send the MC back to Earth right away so their next best option is to lock them away.

I’d like to think at some point they’d need MC because of the Astrolabe. The “I rather we not team up” team up. If Rime stays around its a double rime situation and the mc and rime could bond over not being trusted by the other characters.

Ahem anyways I'd like to make a last legacy request with the main 3 (specifically anisa knight wife) with a s/o that's like really fit, like abs and back muscles looking scrumdiddlyumptious. Felix could always see a small part of your back tattoo whenever he looked at your neck, and he had a few ideas for what was underneath the shirt. Maybe it's a huge leaf, maybe it's branches protecting a heart or initials or something. He's always been curious but too shy to ask

Felix is on his bed reading a book on poisonous Earth flowers he snatched from the Void. He watches you above the pages as you reach up to grab the animal. Your shirt hikes up and he gets a little peek at your back muscles

He doesn't even realize he said it until he looks up and sees you giving him a little look

"You think that my shirt is restricting my movement?" you ask with an eyebrow raised and a small smirk on your lips.

Felix's reddening cheeks betrayed him as he tried to keep a straight face. "Yes. I do. Perhaps you should...take it off. So you can reach up high better."

You hold back a snicker at his adorable face and decide to humor him. You easily pull off your shirt and toss it over the back of a chair, revealing your back tattoo.

Not just because he's seeing your ripped bod for the first time but holy shit that's a nice tattoo

You tell him he can touch it just to mess with him. And he does. He takes his sweet time

He traces the stems, the leaves, the small flowers here and there. You can't see his face but you're pretty sure it's even more red now

He finally leaves you alone and lets you put your shirt back on (much to his chagrin)

A few days later, you catch a glimpse at him writing in a notebook, little doodles of your tattoo in the corners

If you were close enough, you might have been able to see Anisa's pupils dilate a little. She reaches for the hilt of her sword, but misses the first few times. "Actually...you should take your shirt off too. Overheating, again. Wouldn't hurt to give your body all, all the room to cool off."

You know she's just saying something random to get your shirt off, but you decide to indulge her. You take off your sweat-stained shirt and let it rest with your jacket.

She doesn't even notice your scrumptious muscles for a few seconds, she's too enamored by your tattoo

And then she notices your mcgriddled abs. And you know she notices

You make some joke about her being too tired to keep sparring, taking your sword and resting it on your shoulder

You honestly didn't think her hair could poof up anymore

Sage has his tail wrapped tightly around your leg, ears twitching at anything that sounds remotely like someone coming to you. You tell him to relax, you've dealt with this before, but you know how he is

One particularly drunk fellow comes up and tries to chat you up. Sage growls at him from his seat, telling him to back off. He doesn't seem to get the hint, so you decide to make sure he does

You pull Sage into a heated kiss and start taking the two of you to the side door into the nearby alleyway. Once you lose the guy you pull away, but Sage has something else in mind

"Sage, Sage, he's gone," you whisper as Sage kisses your neck. You can still taste the cheap beer on your lips.

"But I wanna kiss you," he whines as the fluffy end of his tail tickles your wrist. He's definitely buzzed. "I wanna take your shirt off."

You raise an eyebrow. "You want my shirt off?"

He quickly nods, his pupils almost hiding his amber eyes.

You look around. It's dark, plenty of cover, and it's a quiet night. You don't think anyone's gonna come through, so you let out a breath and pull off your shirt

He's...he's so distracted. Not only because of your gorgeous chest, but because holy shit that is a tattoo. And it's even more gorgeous than he thought

He gently puts a hand over the faces, trailing his fingers down to rest over your heart

He thinks you're the most beautiful person in the world. And he also wants to rail you so badly. If you are willing, he will slam you right into that alley wall

He also makes it a point to kiss every little part of the tattoo. The moon, the penchant, the succulents, the sun. Every part of it deserves to be kissed

*Inhale* SO I REPLAYED SAGE'S ROUTE

Like we all do because tears are still rolling

And i came up with an hc of what the bad end could have been based on one dialogue option in particular and other preiously référenced event.

I'm talking about this option wich is the last one offered where you are in a group setting, right before heading to kill LoS.

(before reading further reminder this is just an hc and english is not my first language )

Ok so why did i focused on this dialogue option ? Well because we know the game is full of foreshadowing and i like over analizing stuff wich made me compare the two options in details. See, if you choose the drink option, not only you have almost everyone interact, but it's on a note of a brighter futur. ( i only screend first dialogues but anisa, tusli, felix and elowen talk )

this contrast with the nap option who only have Elowen talking outside of sage ( worth mentioning elowen is the only one going with you two in the castle )

The tone diferences is visible, in one hand you have a happy and cheerful group discussion, in the other hand you have what in first reading is just a joke but may sound like a real possible worry ( mainly if you associate long nap as death )

"so what is your theorie then ?" you may ask, well hear me out on that one !

We know the bad end are foreshadowed in the bad end poster of the intro + the description read in sage route when we go back to the fan expo.

Mike / LoS / ugly wizzard, clearly created the storie to end with the main 3 being antagonist. In his head he wants them to be vilains in his upcoming game so his goal is to make them range in his rank.

We can then theorise that he wants sage as a beast, sort of like a monster for a boss level ( since in the hand od Mike, this is a video game where he is the most powerful vilain )

So how would he obtain it ?

Sage wants to kill him and if he was in beast form why would he obey him ? Well what does Sage spend all his route doing from his very first introduction ? What is one of his main goal trought the storie ( outside of letting go, and accepting help )

Protecting mc. Sage always did his best to protect mc even when they didn't knew each other in the tavern. Sage spend his time trying to protect mc from danger, from himself or from whatever could harm them.

This is why i theorise that Sage will still protect mc no matter what, wich include even in his bad end.

My theorie is that in the bad end, both MC and Sage overdue during the fight ( because of the lack of support from the other if you kept choosing options about violence, guilt, individuality and only counting on each other ) this lead to Sage using his beast form, being stuck in it incapable of going back, and mc entering a sort of coma. Why a coma would you ask ?

Well the nap option could be a foreshadowing of mc being here physicaly but absent ( sleeping, so in a sort of coma ) trapped in their mind like the other where after the fog first appeared. "what about the astroblade ?" well it was told that relics may overwhork their owner, we know they can even break ( like sage's zenith ) so it"s a possibility that the Astroblade would be too draining ( helping on Mc falling asleep or making them feel tired, hinted by ugly wizzard man in the breakfast scene in chap 11 ) and to "save mc" put them in a state of sleep rather than death.

This would give a reason for why sage could end up not killing LoS. In exchange of waking them up ( probably a lie or would take forever ) Sage would need to work for him. This is an offer that he can't refuse, Sage would stay with mc no matter what

( dialogue given by elowen last moment we see her before the big fight )

If you want more of my "why i think it would go that way" trow back to that one star scene where Rime offer both mc and Sage a deal wich is basicaly "turn into a beast and i'll teach them how to handle you". This would work well in paralel to the deal LoS could offer to sage "Turn into a best for them and i'll handle you for their sake".

Anyway if you read that far i would love to have your opinions on my hc because i can"t be alone with that thought, i need to talk about it with other.

my, this one's so old it still has your old tag on it. i'm sorry i haven't gotten to it in time, but on the bright side, ozzy's biker sage x mc hc are super cute! i can't imagine adding anything else to it, so here's a somewhat related hc of mine

If you introduce Sage to cars in the modern world he'd absolutely love riding shotgun and sticking his head out the window, let the wind blow at his hair and ears, need for speed and all that. I've mentioned this before but I like the idea that little Balsam, Tulsi, and Sage used to steal empty carts and hop on them to nyoom through the streets of Porrima. So to find out that there's something that can go even faster? He's already obsessed.

Then, by extension, biker Sage is a perfectly feasible concept.

If google is to be trusted (I don't know much about vehicles myself lmao) motorcycles are cheaper than cars, which is all the better for someone in Sage and Tulsi's situation, as he takes her to classes and picks her up again, while also running his own errands.

That's also how Sage started braiding his hair—Tulsi was very annoyed by how it always blew into her face when it slipped from under his helmet. Otherwise, she really enjoys the ride and keeps asking him to speed up because she loves the feel of wind rushing by. So does Sage, who enjoys going at dangerous speeds, but as long as his little sister is onboard he never goes past a certain limit. Once she's old enough he teaches her to ride on her own.

Eventually the bike isn't just a way of transportation for Sage, but a way to seek clarity of mind. Whenever he could, he'd take the bike out in the middle of the night and zigzag between empty streets, dip into tunnels, and zoom over the highway. The streetlights can stretch their golden fingers so far into the darkness before drowning in the night sky, and if Sage had a way with words he'd wax poetic about the peaceful endlessness of the night's void and the persistence of light against its darkness, but that was more Felix's thing. To Sage, what truly matters is that the tranquility of the (mostly) empty streets soothes him, the wind rushing past his ears drowns out all his thoughts, and for just a couple precious hours he can feel like he's on top of the world, unburdened by any of its worries.

His meeting with Lucan was probably a coincidence: just this big guy who zoomed past Sage on his bike and the latter felt challenged, so it escalated into a race around the city, and at the end they shook hands and exchanged numbers. That is how the Griefers started: two guys who liked being on bikes and knew a bunch of other guys who also liked being on bikes. They're adrenaline junkies first and foremost, but they're always keeping an eye out for trouble and helping out where they're needed.

Soon enough they become well-known for helping out solitary people trying to make their way back home in the middle of the night, giving them a free safe ride or fighting off any creeps trying to follow. Any Griefer who tries to abuse this trust is kicked out of the group but not before being served a farewell beating. They'll also go into 24/7 open diners for a midnight snack and scare off any rude or creepy customers.

Even if they mean well, a pack of big dudes clad in black can still feel pretty scary, so Elowen has always been a reassuring presence to any poor soul who got crowded by these over-excitable dogs just trying to help. I mean, her smile and her cold eyes glinting with mischief—as if she just can't wait to pounce on you—can still be pretty unnerving, but she's not as loud and boisterous as the others, nor is she as crudely rough with her handling of things.

Yeah, they can all look intimidating but then Elowen is making Lucan bend over to pull at his ear for doing something dumb, Lucan slaps Balsam's shoulder into next Sunday because a stupid joke made him laugh too hard, Balsam headbutts Sage to get him off of the last french fry, and next morning Sage is driving Tulsi to class and she's sitting behind him wearing her cute helmet covered in cute bunny stickers all over.

Lucan and Elowen in leather... faints. There's no strict dress code for the gang but the Vair siblings sure do love their black leather jackets and tight jeans. Balsam's jacket got those spikes on the lapels/shoulder pads that he shows off to awed and curious kids. Sage probably sticks to his red bomber jacket, but stays somewhat on code with his black pants and boots. I'd love to see him in a black jacket though, purely because of this cool oc art. Ugh they're are all so hot it's unfair.

Motorbike dates? Absolutely. All the Griefers have one braincell: they won't go dangerously fast with you, but they like to pick up the speed once in a while just to get you to tighten your arms around them. You can ride your own bike? "Well you're one after my very own heart."

Blake is the second one you go to when you get angry, ranting to him about whatever the day brought you and hes sitting there like.

Blake loves to compete with Miguel on how much they know about you, which leads to a very annoyed Miguel, and a Blake whos running around like a headless chicken trying not to get smacked to next week by Miguel.

Hes also the one to come running with hot chocolate and a whole lotta snacks when he knows you've had an awful day, he acts closely to the big brother you've wanted/needed, he'd give you the entire world if he could.

Throws Balsam hc at you instead of a question... what if he was lactose intolerant?

The lack of calcium in his daily diet, (that he can't always choose) has made is horns brittle over time and his skin scars very easily, his nails are also in terrible shape. He is the most self conscious about the horns part though

Lactose intolerance does that? 💀

Well more like lack of calcium, but still

Even if he is Lactose intolerant, he's probably willing to suffer the consequences 😀👍

The nails are spot on though, he's in dire need of a manicure and proper nail care, and I don't think wearing gloves is helping
