Your comments on AO3 are more powerful than you know.

A comment on a fic more than once gave me the idea or inspiration I needed to add another part to that fic. It helped me to produce even more of the content that the reader who left it enjoyed so much.

A comment on an older fic reminded me that my fics don’t get lost 24 or 48 hours after posting. True, that’s when most fics get the majority of their hits, kudos and comments, so a writer sometimes feels like if a fic hasn’t done well in that time frame, it’s as good as gone. But some people discover and love such fics later on and that’s incredible.

A comment once stopped me from deleting my AO3 account. For reasons, I was feeling really low, like I had no talent and nothing to offer. Like everything I was posting was banal and worthless. And as my finger was hovering over the ‘delete account’ button, a mail notification let me know that someone left a comment on one of my fics. I went to read it and it was absolutely lovely. And it complimented not just that fic, but my writing overall. It helped me get through a rough moment.

Your comments can mean so much more than you know. You have more capacity to do good and help content creation in the fandom, that you and others enjoy, than you realize.

So this is my little note, as an author, to say THANK YOU to all the people who take the time to leave a comment on AO3 or send an ask on Tumblr or write kind words in the tags of a reblog. It all means so very much! <33333

Not to be that bitch, but i’ll be honest, i am that bitch, and i know that i’m not the first one to point this problem out, but it still bothering me, so here i am, pointing the obvious - REBLOG FAN CONTENT  i can’t stress this enough….. Look at the ratio between likes and reblogs? isn’t it pathetic… on the right picture is notes on the fics that i reblogged and recced (obviously, not mine fics) and like…it’s sad, you know? Here we are, most of us stuck in our houses and on the internet, consuming media, be it shows/movies/podcasts or fan created things, and this is what most of creators are getting. You can probably say to me: “aren’t you a greedy bitch? your art post have 7k notes? like, sit down be humble and etc….”  and tbh maybe i am a greedy bitch? you know? because it’s my free time, it’s my health, my sleep (because guess what, i still work, be it from my home) and it’s my heart that i pour into this free fanart, so yeah a little bit more exposure wouldn’t hurt and likes is not exposure. But most of all,  i’m always always upset about fics, because…i LOVE fic authors so much! they’ve put smile on my face after long, bad day more times that i can count and i try my best to draw for them and rec their stories and still, with me having 20k followers that’s what we have here - 658 likes and 121 reblogs… just yikes my dudes. I’m not saying that i’m perfect, and that i reblog every single thing that i liked, but my point still stands - this is a sad trend on tumblr lately.  I’ll continue to draw fanart and continue to reblog stories that i like, so anyway that was me “old man yells at cloud” but my therapist said to let my emotion out more, so here i am doing that.  just REBLOG things that you like people, it’s not that hard

It’s finally happening!!

At the beginning of the year, the Harringrove fandom began chanting for a Zine, prompting a small Team to form. We worked and planned hard to make it happen! And finally it is time: GET READY FOR THE ZINE!

But first, we need the rest of the Harringrove fans to help us out.

We have a questionaire that we’d love for fans to fill out. It will help us figure out how many copies to plan for, which goodies are a Must Have and what the Fandom want’s to see!

Let’s be real, there will be no or minimal backgrounds. I won’t write character death, but hurt/comfort is absolutely fine, and I’m happy writing smut, too. (Please let me know if you have a preference for smut or none of it!) I love AUs, post-season 3 things, but my hard no is extreme kink and ABO. Suggested Donation Amount: For a single character, non-color sketch the amount you’ll need to donate is $10, for two characters, it’s $15. For color it’s going to be $25 for two characters. Stories will be up to 1k. For 1k words, the amount you’ll need to donate is $10, $5 will get you 500 words, etc. Accepting prompts? I am! Toss your ideas at me, and if it’s out of my wheelhouse, I will let you know.

I’m capping both at three right now to see how things go. ♥
